Shuran is playing checkers, Wanning chess, and meanwhile Xue Li and Xiao Heng are playing simultaneously 4D-chess and the most elaborate game of Go. It's so pleasing to watch. Now if only Wicked Stepmother could leave Ruyao alone, poor girl needs therapy and a sabbatical far away from her scheming mother, weak father and useless grandmother.

I’ve been aiming to watch the Double but haven’t got time lately. Mostly because of Wu Jinyan. I love her performance in Story of Yanxi Palace. Anyway, I’m itching to draw her for a long time and now I have!

we need to take a page out of a-li's book LIKE?!?! they've honestly NOT really like officially officially promised love and devotion to each other and verbalized it fully even though yes it's 100% understood they got each other, and like technically they're also not official in other people's eyes and here XUE FANGFEI IS LIKE YEAH GRANDPA I AM HIS BELOVED AND HE IS MINE TOO and SHE LOOKS SO DAMN GLEEFUL

Another thing I really like about The Double is that they don't hesitate to show not only A'Li's trauma, the mental when she almost spirals down the first few times she sees her murderous husband, or the physical with her wrist, but also that there really was love between her and Shen Yurong. Just because he betrayed her doesn't erase the years they had together and the fact that they really were in love, and that they taught each other a lot of things. They could have completely skipped that past to focus solely on the future romance with Duke Su, and it would not have been as impacting as showing all these past scenes between A'Li and Yurong.

Though now that she knows Wanning is behind the plot, I hope we get more Xiao Heng screen time. For once, less court intrigue, more romance and badass power couple, please.
