I was telling you at on point that Shangque's entire attitude towards Dongfang Qingcang is the first clue on how he's not as bad as the immortals in Shuiyuntian made him out to be.

I'd say that this scene is another clue. At no point does he threaten the conflicting parties, although he would be well within his rights to (at least) scold them, and while it's obvious everyone knows exactly how powerful he is, I do not get the feeling that they bow in terror. It's not fear that drives them; it's respect.

This is miles away from the way he was portrayed in Shuiyuntian. His little brother even rolls his eyes at him, for crying out loud.
