🇺🇦 🚨 UKRAINE NOT TO HOLD ELECTIONS WHILE MARTIAL LAW CONTINUES, SAYS UKRAINIAN PARLIAMENT

The Ukrainian election authorities have said Parliamentary and Presidential elections will not be held in Ukraine during Martial Law, according to the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk.

"It has been decided that elections will not be held in Ukraine while martial law is in place," Stefanchuk is quoted as saying.

Though Ukraine was due to hold Parliamentary elections back in October of last year, and Presidential elections in the spring of this year, Stefanchuk says that discussions about holding elections are ongoing as the Kiev regime speaks with its foreign partners in the US and EU.

The Ukrainian Parliament previously declared Martial Law after the Russian military began its Special Military Operation in the eastern European country in February of 2022, and has extended it repeatedly since, with the latest extension approved in November of last year.

This is a video from Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk region, which was seized in June 2022. It was almost destroyed - by 90%, 80% of the houses need to be rebuilt. And the Russians come with assault rifles to a grandmother who is forced to survive and is easily manipulated simply because of her age. My family's vote will be among the votes for Putin because we are registered in Donetsk. Can you imagine? I've lived in Lviv for 10 years, I haven't been hometown since 2014, and I took part in this "action". This is the whole point of the surreal. Because it will involve the dead, the unborn, and the living who do not live there. This was the case with the referendum. I was still living there at the time.

I find it fucking insane that the US has the strongest and most capable military in the world, largely to defend itself from Russia but we can just throw that all out the window because Donald Trump is just gonna bend over for Putin and take it in the ass.

And then people are gonna give him credit for stopping ww3 at the expense of Europe. I say Europe and not Ukraine because do you really think Russia is going to stop with Ukraine? Absolutely fucking not.

The only thing standing between Russia and the rest of Europe is NATO and the US. But if the president of the United States is a Russian asset, Europe is practically hung out to dry.

I have no idea how many of you tumblrites have poked your head out from under your fandom rock lately, but the war with Ukraine has been escalating to dangerous levels FAST.

But it just pisses me off that Trump is just going to give this fucking clown everything he wants just because Putin has blackmail on him. There's no way that this blackmail is just footage of Trump getting pissed on. It has got to be way fucking worse than that for this coward to be in complete submission to Putin. How the propaganda show "russian presidential elections" took place in the occupied territories

As reported by the National Resistance Center, for three days, russians stopped Ukrainians at checkpoints and demanded they "vote", all under the watchful eye of armed guards who indicated where to mark the ballot.

Occupiers also conducted raids on homes, trying to obtain information about local residents who ignored the "elections". russians attempted to enter houses multiple times if the doors were not opened to them.

The patrol groups consisted of two civilians and a military member. They primarily targeted those who had voted in the pseudo-referendum and "local elections".

Collaborators from the "election commissions" recorded who exactly voted and compiled a separate list of "disloyal residents" who avoided "voting".

This is an inaccurate translation; it cannot convey all the despair and anger in the words of a person who is under occupation. It's just an inaccurate conversation context:

Bro I can't with these posts tht go 'trump has only been elected for 48 hours and world leaders are already doing xyz'. Most of them are either taken completely out of context, are outright false, or are said in a way that makes it soo clear that these ppl don't understand the nuances of geopolitics.

I can't comment on America's internal politics coz I'm not an American, but i can assure ppl tht geopolitics is more complex than 'trump is in power now so everything is solved because he's so powerful.' All of us should keep our eyes open and be incredibly vigilant; while this holds true for every president, (imo) some of his stances are very questionable and he's known to be unpredictable

While I do think that Trump will obviously be taken more seriously and strike a more powerful image than the guy who couldn't string a sentence together, this sort of blind hero worship for a politician, especially in a time like this is ill advised, to put it lightly. Also sorry, but it's so clear that these ppl haven't done their reading and know nothing about international politics as most of these posts reflect the 'America vs the bad guys' mentality, which btw, is what makes the rest of the world roll their eyes at America - sorry but ur belief in ur country's moral superiority under the guise of patriotism is considered laughable by most of the other countries. There's renewed room for talks and possible negotiations given that Trump's approach is very different from Biden's, yes, but y r these ppl acting like other formidable forces like putin, Xi jinping and hamas will immediately bend to an American president's whims?
