The peepers are a month old now!! They're so silly. They have these loooong necks that they extend as far as possible when they're curious or concerned.

I'm starting to suspect Barney may be a rooster and Hooter a pullet. At this stage Barney has a bigger tail and, lightly, body than Hooter. Hooter is also showing barring more than Barney is, which isn't really a reliable sexing method unless they're purebred, but still possibly worth noting.

Red is for Barney, blue is Hooter.

I can't really describe it but Hooter also just has a very pullet shaped face?

I think I probably still just need to wait a little longer though. It's my first time sexing chicks so I'm not really sure about anything.

@homeofhousechickens could you weigh in possibly? They're brahma/easter egger chicks, if that might help. Their parents are Ash and Fluffybutt (in my pinned)
