was not expecting yuki to be pulled aside and held for nearly three hours but here we go. we've known this since the creation of the tsa, but as always the tsa sucks, no matter which president is in the white house

i don't really have much to say. other people have already spoken about it in far better detail and i don't want to do doomspeak about yuki being profiled and not believed because he was wearing pyjamas. i know that east asians tend to not get pulled aside, especially the pale/olive skinned east asians, but if the tsa is willing to vilify multiple ethnic groups, they'll vilify you as well

I've come to think this metaphor also applies pretty well to constitutional originalism and the absurd idolization by both U.S. political parties of a document written hundreds of years ago by men who didn't know about the carbon cycle and owned human slaves.

A federal jury on Friday convicted a former Kentucky police detective of using excessive force on Breonna Taylor during a botched 2020 drug raid that left her dead. The 12-member jury returned the late-night verdict after clearing Brett Hankison earlier in the evening on a charge that he used excessive force on Taylor's neighbours. It was the first conviction of a Louisville police officer who was involved in the deadly raid.
