determined to avoid making the same mistake, bj starts paying attention — truly paying attention. he listens (a rare feat for him) to your stories, your fears, weaving his manic energy into a solid presence instead of a disruptive force.

to help you feel secure, he transforms your living space into something magical yet oddly comforting. the shadows on the walls stop feeling like threats and start feeling like guardians. they whisper reassuring nonsense, a soft hum of distraction from the noise in your head.

in his own twisted way, he tries to help you reclaim power over your fears. he turns nightmares into comedies, mocking the monsters that haunt you until they’re laughable, grotesque parodies.

for someone who thrives on disorder, beetlejuice attempts the impossible — reining in his instincts. when he wants to pop out of the floorboards or summon swarms of skeletal insects, he pauses, remembers your needs, and opts for a (relatively) gentle knock instead.

Q1. What are your impressions of each other? Cain: He's a dangerous and terrifying wizard. My left eye is proof of that. He’s a creepy and unpleasant guy who can steal someone’s eye and laugh it off like it’s nothing... But to face the calamity, I’ll need his power too. I have to figure out how to approach him and find a way to work together.

Owen: He’s a ridiculous guy who swings his sword around without using magic, devoting himself to humans. I exposed him completely, even taking his eyeball. In the Central Kingdom, wizards can’t become knights, can they? Oh, how pitiful. That’s why, even though he lost his title, I still call him “knight” as a little courtesy. Aren’t I kind?

Q2. What’s your impression of the new Sage (Akira)? Cain: They got caught up in something dangerous before they even knew left from right. Even though I had no right to stop them from following whoever they chose, they looked me straight in the eye, listened to what I had to say, and chose to side with us. I’m truly grateful. For Akira, I’ll do anything I can.

Owen: We’ve just met, so I don’t really know yet, but I want to have lots of conversations. About what they like, what they hate, about the Sage themself... I want them to bare everything, from the messy, chaotic, soft, and deep parts of their heart. If they do that, I’m sure we’ll become great friends.

Q3. What do you think about the wizards from the Central Country and the Northern Country? Cain: I never expected Prince Arthur to be summoned. It’s an honor to stand alongside him as a fellow wizard of the Central Country. Riquet is reckless but endearing, and Oz is a bit difficult, but he’s not impossible to talk to. I’ll do my best to make us into a good team!

Owen: I hate the twins—they’re too naggy. Mithra is fine to meet every now and then, but I don’t like how he suddenly changes his mind and starts attacking. Bradley annoys me because he occasionally says cheeky things. Still, I’m forced to see them every year whether I like it or not. It’s such a bothersome and troublesome role.

Q4. How do you spend the New Year? Cain: Singing, dancing, drinking, and partying all night long! But I still stay on alert in case of emergencies. Back when I was in the knight order, we’d all crash on the floor together so we wouldn’t be late for training the next day. In the end, we’d always scramble to get ready at the last minute, but even that is a good memory now.

Owen: Nothing changes. I look out over the dazzling snowy fields reflecting the moonlight, feel the icy wind on my skin, and hear wolves howling in the distance... Then, before I know it, the night has passed. And just like that, another unchanging day begins.

SAIKI ITTETSU ->

when i say he’s naturally a loud person i mean it. of course, he still has your best interests at heart during his more chaotic moments. given his somewhat intimidating exterior, it was a little surprising to learn that he was a hero after all. if anything, he’s the anti-hero the group needs to ensure some unruly people are put in their place with his deep and intimidating voice. yet behind closed doors, he’s such a sweetheart! always sharing his food with you and gladly sitting down with you just to chat on the longer work days. being a hero isn’t just beating up bad guys after all! there’s also a decent amount of celebrity work that goes into it, so please allow him to take time out of his schedule to love and pay attention to you, because nothing could make him happier.

AKAGI WEN ->

unlike ittetsu, he doesn’t wait until he’s behind closed doors to be a total sweetheart to his beloved partner. he’s always cooking meals for you, and he’ll be absolutely over the moon if you offer to help. if you’re okay with your relationship with this cheery hero, he will talk about you constantly in interviews and such! wen just wants the whole world to know he loves you to the moon and back! ultimately, he wouldn’t trade his relationship with you for the whole world. he’ll come home to you late at night sometimes with a plushie and a dessert for you as a sort of apology for possibly worrying you, seeing as he was out so late. absolute and total soft little sweetheart boyfriend who just wants to make you happy so please reassure him sometimes and do something for him in return!

USAMI RITO ->

this foodie hero’s love language is absolutely sharing his snacks with you. seeing as he often treats food as if it’s the only thing in the world that matters, it’s a real honor that he’s willing to share with you! he’s a bit of the chaotic dad of the group, so if you date him, you’d likely end up taking on a caretaker role to the other heroes too. he’s very cheesy with his shows of affection, it’s his way of saying he doesn’t care what others think and that even if he’s technically a public figure, you’re the only one he wants in the whole world. his ideal date would likely be bringing your favorite snacks home with him and watching movies while he cuddles with you! like the others, he’s a total softie even if his job as a hero doesn’t necessarily favor that due to questionable moral situations he may be put in. he’s not as upfront about his relationship with you, but he mentions it offhandedly every once in a while to remind people that he loves you oh so much.

HIBACHI MANA ->

your relationship with him most definitely started as friends and slowly evolved into something more, mostly without either of you noticing. most definitely a friends to lovers situation, because he had been your best friend since childhood. this hero has always been a very sweet and kind person, but especially towards you. his love for you most definitely would stand the rest of time as he continued his hero work. despite stress and injury, you were always there for him no matter what. it really made mana have a new appreciation for your relationship when you would drop everything to comfort him. he knows his job isn’t the most favorable for romantic relationships, but the fact that you stay with him despite that just makes his heart flutter when he thinks about it.

HOSHIRUBE SHOU ->

seeing as he’s much more of a quiet type, it was surprising he even allowed his feelings for you to be heard in the first place. especially considering how shy and quiet he is, having someone he loves as much as you is a blessing. he knows he's not the best with expressing affection verbally, but he makes up for it by always holding your hand or hugging or kissing you. in a way, it's easier to express than saying he loves you. of course, that doesn't mean shou doesn't love you with all his heart. the first time he audibly says the words "i love you", his face is covered in blush. he hides it behind his purple and blue hair, voice shaking slightly out of nervousness. he still blushes when you take the initiative and kiss him first, even if you’ve kissed hundreds of times. showing affection in public makes him very flustered, but he still holds your hand in front of other people just to show everyone that he loves you!

MURAKUMO KAGETSU ->

simply put, you’re everything to this ninja hero. he’s much more private about his relationship so many people wouldn’t even know he had a significant other aside from his closest friends. he reassures you constantly that he isn’t ashamed or anything of the like, just that it might cause danger for you due to the relatively risky nature of his work as a hero. ultimately, it’s just to keep you safe. as soon as he’s certain of your safety, he’ll be parading you about and talking about you every single chance he gets just to show the world how much he adores you. there’s a picture of you and him together in his phone case as a sort of motivator when his hero work has him down, cuz if nothing else, he has you to come home to every day. he has you to hug and kiss and pour all his love into at the end of every day. coming through the door to your shared home and seeing you is his absolute favorite thing in the world. especially if kagetsu is home especially late and sees you sleeping on the couch waiting for him, his heart just melts on the spot.

KOYANAGI ROU ->

most definitely a more condescending type who teases you over the smallest things sometimes. he can’t help it, it’s just his love language! rou isn’t really the best with being super affectionate, so please understand that him teasing you is how he shows he loves you. of course, he occasionally shows more traditional signs of love and affection such as buying you gifts or cuddling with you, but he just isn’t that affectionate of a person. please don’t let it get you down or make it think he doesn’t love you, because he really warms up to the idea of being affectionate after dating you for a while. behind closed doors at least, he’ll be wrapped around you all day and night commenting on how cute you are and how he just loves you so so much! he would never let his friends or fellow heroes see him in such a state though, they would never let him hear the end of it and he’s the one who teases other people, not the other way around! once in a blue moon, his friends will see him kiss your cheek or forehead though, and just as expected, he will never hear the end of it.

INAMI RAI ->

the mechanic prefers just having you by his side as he works on his newest invention or tinkers with his fellow hero’s gear to hopefully improve it. just sitting and chatting with you while he tinkers with things is his favorite pastime because he gets to mess with mechanical things and talk to his beloved!! he has a bunch of pictures of you at his work station as well as in his phone case just like kagetsu! his fellow heroes end up getting pretty annoyed with the way rai won’t shut up about you, but he thinks of you so highly that he could barely even convey how much he loves you in words. doesn’t mean he doesn’t try tho, cuz he does…he talks for hours just about how much he loves you. at first, he was scared to ask you out and rou had to put him up to it. both of them were absolutely taken aback when you actually agreed to go out with rai, and ESPECIALLY when you started seeing him regularly and made your relationship official.

If someone has been counting the days since Hanni and YN’s rivalry started, the pair would have been impressed and weirded out. Who in their right mind would keep track of something so small (to them)? That would be Hanni’s friends.

“Happy 800th day to your rivalry with YN, Hanni. Any devious plans on how you’ll avoid her?” She hated to be reminded of when you first met, a threat to her perfect streak of honors from when she was a child. Hanni believed that YN would have been a great classmate let alone a friend, but it seems fate had different plans for the pair.

Throughout the two years she’s been classmates with YN, she’s taken note of the girl’s habits. She wonders how she’s in the top rankings when she puts so little effort after the first two months when she transferred, aside from that YN has always been closed off. Sure, they’re rivals and she shouldn’t care that much but where’s the fun if your rival isn’t that interested at all?

“As if I can avoid her, I’ve accepted fate as it is. She’ll be the death of me.” Right on cue, YN is running past them, uniform a mess, a few cups of coffee in hand, and somehow still manages to look quite- pretty, except she almost spilled coffee on me without apologizing.

“Did you say something, Hanni?” Minji has always loved annoying Hanni regarding YN, heck she’s talked to the girl before and she swore that if Hanni didn’t hate her guts they would have hit it off.

“I heard her say something along the lines of pretty…” Haerin has always backed Minji up, a chaotic duo as they would say. Their number one victim being Hanni, if it weren’t for Danielle, they would have made a plan to make the two top achievers talk or go on a blind date with each other.

“Oohhh~ Hanni-unnie finally has a crush?” Hyein was either the one to fight fire with fire or simply observe and call Danielle when things get worse. Danielle looked at them sternly, the usual smile plastered on her face was nowhere to be seen which made the trio stop laughing and apologize to Hanni. The top student had simply dismissed it and continued her walk to class, that she shared with Minji and YN.

One thing that Hanni despised YN for was that the girl has always sat next to her ever since, at first she didn’t mind but even when seating arrangements weren’t given and everyone was free to choose where to sit down. She always, ALWAYS sits next to Hanni. It was no surprise when Hanni sat down, no one dared to take the vacant seat next to her, as if there was an unspoken rule that Pham Hanni must be next to Park YN. Like clockwork, YN finally arrived looking presentable, an iced americano on hand, and a tired smile plastered on her face. 

The smell of coffee beans, a mild scent yet packs a punch, followed by a hint of vanilla that Hanni can easily associate with YN, and the small “morning…” as soon as she sits down. There is a line between them, neither one dares to cross it, she’s prideful, YN is stubborn. Hanni sees her as a rival yet she doesn’t know if YN sees her the same way. Not when YN remembers precisely that it's their 800th day of meeting. Something so small yet how come YN always gives her something on those days that shouldn’t even matter? What is running inside your mind, Park YN?

“800th, here.” YN handed Hanni an envelope, a card inside, and refills…? “I noticed your pens are almost out of ink.”

“Oh. Thanks, I guess.” Hanni never really read the cards, although she’s kept every single one of them. She never bothered to read it, it was just cards that YN had probably bought before going to campus last minute and didn’t bother to write anything on it. She still kept it, something about those letters despite never reading any of them, she still kept it. Hanni doesn’t return anything, YN knows that by now, all she gets is a ‘thanks’ and nothing more, nothing less. YN is still surprised by Hanni sometimes.

Hanni never cared for the little things, YN does, every single celebration she plans ahead. She does not expect anything from Hanni, she knows the girl hates her but YN loves to tease the living hell out of her seatmate. So, whenever it's their so-called “anniversary”, YN always got Hanni something practical; refills for her pens, a new notepad for debate and the school paper, the best quality marker, and snacks that would help the girl out. When YN came back from lunch with Yunjin and Kazuha, there was a piece of chocopie placed neatly on her table. Clearly, it came from Hanni because once they made eye contact, all she could do was avoid her gaze. YN still thinks that Hanni never really cared but maybe she does. Maybe, just maybe… she does.

“Thanks.” Hanni only nodded as YN sat down next to her, there was no letter on it but it was for the best. The top student did just went out of her way just to get her a snack, her favorite. “Can’t look at your classmate after giving them something sweet?”

“Shut up.”

“Ms. Pham finally cares about lil ol’ me?”

“I swear YN, just shut up.”

The class could simply watch and smile, Minji updating Haerin with the interaction, confirming the snack that the top student rarely buys was for her rival. YN could have gone a step further, one push but she doesn’t and wonder- what is running inside your mind, Pham Hanni?

The pair sat in silence, working on their extracurriculars, especially since the debate club has another practice debate within the next few days. Although neither admits, they both choose each other as their practice partner, sometimes it gets heated that they slowly start becoming personal. It was no surprise when they had their topics and they’re on opposite teams, no one dares to put them together.

“HELLO EVERYONE!” Their English teacher, Ms. Im Nayeon had entered the class, gaining everyone’s attention. The class greeted her back, some had huge smiles plastered on their faces and YN being one of them. She enjoyed the English class, it was her escape because Ms. Im uses songs as a way to teach the class metaphors.

“I’ll be returning your exams from last week, now before you all start discussing and betting whether today is the day Ms. Park finally beats Ms. Pham, some of you need to study harder rather than betting on your top achievers.” One by one Ms. Im starts calling students, everyone knows how her facial expression says everything. A frown if you fail, a passive smile if you passed, and for the special cases which have always been Hanni and YN, a grin. Ms. Im always lived for the drama one that involves the pair, probably because she’s read a lot about enemies to lovers and notices the signs that they might work out if they finally stop fighting. It was no surprise she called the pair at the same time only to watch as they sat down and compare scores.

“YES!” “NO!”

“ANOTHER WIN FOR ME!” It wasn’t the day that YN finally wins but with a close mark from each other, she would have killed just to beat Hanni once. Students slowly paying each other as they grumble and complain how they thought and believed that Hanni could be beaten by YN.

“Now, settle down. For the rest of the period I’ll be discussing this year's final project. It’ll be individual but you will work closely with someone. I’ll be picking the pairs.” Everyone groaned, it wouldn’t be that bad but the class had already planned on partnering up and leaving the two to pair up. YN knew of that plan and looked directly at Chaewon who was getting ready to pair with Minji. As their teacher started mentioning the pairs, everyone was waiting for either Hanni or YN to be called.

“Kim Minji and Kim Chaewon, lastly, Pham and Park. For the final project, we’ve discussed the Little Prince and its message of growing up. I want you to spend as much time as you can with your pair, learn about their lives before you met them, first impressions, mannerisms, interests, and what they wish for in the future. Think of writing their biography for them. This is your last year of High School, make the most out of it.”

Everyone looked at the top achievers, ready to protest but then again, it was Ms. Im whatever she says, goes. The final project was simple: learn about their partner’s life, but it wasn’t like YN would start talking about her personal life when she knows it's a mess. YN could only sigh and look at Hanni who was already deep in her thoughts. How would Hanni tell her about her life?

The pair looked at each other, everyone discussing their lives, and YN was stuck with what she wanted to say and how she should say it. How does she tell Hanni everything? As YN was about to speak up, Hanni broke the silence. “Do you want to come to my place so we can discuss?”

“Put a label on it first before I meet your parents, Hanni.”

“SHUT UP, AT LEAST I DIDN’T GET A SINGLE MISTAKE FROM A SPELLING ERROR.”

“It happened ONCE!... but fine, I’ll meet you after my training to discuss the project.”

This is going to be a long project.

Little Anakin Skywalker & Little Captain Rex Headcannons💙🤍 (SFW)

With what the two of them face in their daily lives, it’s no wonder Anakin and Rex are Regressors.

It all starts out with Anakin. Beyond stressed out with what the Jedi constantly asks of him. He was almost at a breaking point before Padame stepped in.

She introduced him to the idea of age regression. Something that at first he found really silly, but then found really really soothing. Anakin was ripped away from his mother at such a young age, he never had a chance to just be a kid.

Padame became his only Caregiver until Obi Wan found out. During a mission together Anakin returned to the shuttle and immediately started to regress without realizing it. Obi Wan, who knew right away what was happening, stepped in and watches over the boy.

Together Padame and Obi Wan became his primary Caregivers. Hiding Anakin’s regression from the Jedi and anyone else who would try to use it against him.

Regression does wonders for Anakin. He was able to run around, play with toys, create fun make believe missions, get into trouble…well…that last one he seems to do in and out of his regression.

But there was still something missing…he wanted a friend.

He couldn’t very well just ask someone. And he couldn’t force them. But the Galaxy has a funny way of doing things.

Being the Captain of the 501st has its advantages! But it also has its disadvantages. One being the amount of stress and guilt he has over his team.

Anakin witnesses this stress with Rex and realizes the perfect solution. When the two are alone Anakin begins to explain age regression to Rex.

At first Rex doesn’t really understand it and doesn’t know if he would make a good Little at all. For one, he’s never had a childhood…what do kids even do? Secondly he’s worried about his team finding out but Anakin and Obi Wan reassure him otherwise. Most of all he’s worried he might ruining regression for Anakin by doing something wrong. But he couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Anakin brings Rex along whenever he goes to regress with either Padame or Obi Wan. At first Rex just kind of seems lost as to what to do.

But they slowly start to coax him into cuddling or listening to a book or coloring. Eventually, in time, Rex becomes a care free, relaxed and over all happy Little.

Anakin becomes the token “big brother” while Rex becomes the “little brother.” Though the have the opposite personalities

A new Caregiver is added to the mix and that’s Ashoka. Rex brought her in on his regression when he was alone from the generals and just needed someone to look after him. Ashoka couldn’t be more honored and happy to do so.

Rex loves to hang around Ashoka. He always holds her hand and stays close to her. When he draws her something, he loved to sit and explain everything in the picture and why he drew it for her. “And this is us on the ship together. See? I drew your lightsaber.” “I do see. Wow! You’re amazing at drawing Rex.”

Seeing the two Littles play together is adorable to Padame, Ashoka and Obi Wan. Just like on the battlefield, Anakin takes the lead instructing Rex on what they’re going to play or what they’re going to draw. Rex always follows along like a good soldier would.

Anakin becomes the token “big brother” while Rex becomes the “little brother.” Though the have the opposite personalities.

With Anakin, he isn’t the most careful and usually goes into everything head first. When he brings Rex into his antics, it’s a recipe for disaster. *cue glass breaking* “Rex did it.” “I did not!”

While they’re very close and very energetic Little’s, the two also have totally different personalities when it comes to regression.

Anakin is a bit feisty when it comes to following rules and such. He always tries to get out of doing something while Rex never fights the rules and is always looking to help.

Rex aka “maybe we should ask our caregivers first.” Anakin aka “nah, let’s go for it” Skywalker

When he’s in trouble, Anakin will always blame it on Rex. But their caregiver know Rex would NEVER and put Anakin in a time out. He pouts but goes anyway.

What they are is cuddle bugs. Anakin always cuddles with Padame. It’s the only way his Little self will ever go to sleep, is if she’s next to him. The same goes for Rex with Ashoka. Obi Wan on the other hand discovered that if he cards his hand through either one of their hair, the sensation put them right to sleep. It’s his go to trick.

Rex’s favorite activity is drawing. He never really got the opportunity to try it as a kid so now he’s in love with it. He loves to make pictures for everyone. They always hanging it up to make Rex feel special about his creations, and he really does!

Anakin’s favorite activity is make believe games with Rex. They’re knights saving the princesses aka Padame and Ashoka or if one of them is missing Obi Wan becomes the princess.

Rex is a sleepy baby when he regresses. Alway falling asleep on his crayons. Meanwhile Anakin always fights nap time.

Rainy days are Rex’s favorite! He loves hearing the rain come down, hitting the window and making puddles outside. It reminds him of Kamino and soothes him.

After a while of regressing, Rex wants to bring someone else in to be their Caregiver too. Someone that isn’t a Jedi, but rather a clone who can understand him on that level. Someone he can relate to. That becomes Commander Cody.

Obi Wan is thrilled about the new Caregiver. Cody, who surprisingly knew a lot about regression, was more than happy to be able to look after Rex and Anakin when the others needed a well deserved break. He especially liked to hang out with Obi Wan outside of the battle field.

Rex really connects with Cody and is always happy over the big deal Cody makes whenever Rex draws him something as well. “This is for me? To keep? I am so honored Rex! This is a master piece!”

At the end of the day Rex and Anakin love all four of their Cgs. But it’s no secret to anyone that Anakin feels closer to Obi Wan and Padame while Rex is closer to Ashoka and Cody.

If one of them gets sick they both handle it very differently. Anakin is a big baby when he’s sick, laying around and wanting cuddles. Rex tried to hide his cold for as long as possible until he practically collapses. Then he turns into a cuddle bug like Anakin.

Doesn’t matter if they’re on the battlefield or the playroom, Anakin and Rex are superior duo. Both as Captain and General, or as Big brother and little brother.

The two of you had some downtime at the headquarters. 

You were alone and things were peaceful and not chaotic for once. 

You gulp down your nerves and get Ed’s attention. 

After some rambling about your friendship and how you got to where you both are now.

Edward was having a panic attack, already assuming the worst. 

Oh god, they’re sick of me, they’ve spent so much time with me and they see it as a waste.

He’s already apologizing and almost begging you to stay his friend as soon as you admit your love for him.

Silence fills the space as you both wrap your minds over what the other said. 

Ed is shocked. “Wait, what did you say?”

You can’t help but giggle, you reiterate that you love him. 

You want to be a couple. An item. More than friends.  

For a young man that’s only ever experienced the worst, he had no idea how to compute or respond to…something positive. 

He’s still in disbelief, he’s still tripping over his words. 

But he’s excited, for once, he’s so excited and thrilled for the future.

Chapter Four: An Unusual Trade

Story Summary: Humans and Monsters live together in harmony and that means they all get to go to college together. Roman, Remus, Janus, Virgil, Logan and Patton are big group of friends that may be a bit chaotic with all the different monster cultures they hail from. College itself is hard too, but with them all supporting each other, it can’t be that bad, can it?

A loud and insistent knocking breaks through the calm classical piano music playing in Virgil and Logan’s dorm. Beethoven, Bach and Mozart are common composers the two listen to, since Logan found it the best background music for him to study to and Virgil associates them with their childhood as Beethoven and them share a birthyear. Their mother, who had already been a big fan of Bach, kept up with Mozart and Beethoven for their entire careers and often played their music on the piano. Virgil can always feel the tension in their body leave them when he hears one of their pieces played.

Now that tension was returning however as the knocking doesn’t stop.

“Would you mind getting it, V?” Logan asks, hunched over their desk. “I am almost finished with this text and would hate to lose my place.”

“Yeah, I got it, L. Might just punch whoever it is in the face.” They mutter that last part under their breath as they swing their legs off the bed and head towards the door. “Who the hell—”

“I’m here for a trade, guardian of night!” Remus interrupts them as soon as the door is open.

Virgil just stares at her, then at her brother who is just behind them.

“What?”

“A trade!” Remus proclaims again, louder this time. “The witch for this inferior dragon!”

“Inferior!” Roman sputters, wings flaring out behind him in offense. “How dare you besmirch my honor, you filthy—”

“Would you both shut up before you make this entire corridor hate us!” Virgil hisses, massaging their temples. “What you’re saying is that you want to spend time with Logan and to do that you’re kicking Roman out of your dorm and pushing him on to me?”

Roman pouts at them and Virgil just slyly smiles back which earns them an eyeroll from their partner.

“Got it in one, Scaramore! Now where’s my witch?”

Remus pushes past Virgil, and only then do they notice that it is literally dragging Roman along by gripping his wrist, though Roman doesn’t seem to give him much resistance. At least until they’re in the room and Remus bounds over to Logan. That’s when Roman shakes his arm free and Remus lets him go without even looking at him, instead standing behind Logan’s chair and gently resting its head on theirs, silently waiting for them to stop reading.

“Sorry for just barging in,” Roman sighs after Virgil closed the door and comes to stand next to him. “Remus was just getting super antsy because Logan wasn’t answering her texts, so I told them to just go and check on him in person and then it came up with this whole trading idea. And I would love to just hang out with you, no fancy dates, just chilling but if you’d rather be alone, I can suffer third wheeling them.”

He nods over to the desk where Logan has allowed Remus to place her hand over theirs while they finish up.

“Nah, it’s fine,” Virgil shrugs. “I wasn’t really doing anything anyway. And I wouldn’t leave you to suffer those two being their weird interpretation of sappy.” Roman snorts, lightly bumping against their shoulder before sitting down on their bed, sighing contently and shaking out his wings. Virgil lets themselves plop down next to him, pulling their phone over to close Tumblr. They’ve already been scrolling through their dash for at least an hour. It was good to have a distraction.

Their phone screen just went black when a thump from the desk announces that Logan is done reading. He and Remus talk quietly between themselves for a moment and while Virgil has good enough hearing that he could’ve listened in if they wanted to, they don’t. Then Logan stands, smiling over to them and Roman.

“I will be over with Remus in her room then,” they nod to Virgil. “If you need anything, you can text me.”

“Nothing’s gonna come up, L,” Virgil shrugs and Logan adjusts his glasses.

“You never know. Anyway, since I have classes early tomorrow, I will return before 10pm.” They give a sharp look to Remus, who pouts at them but doesn’t protest. “Have a nice evening, you two.”

“You, too, Pocket Protector!” Roman salutes as his brother impatiently pulls Logan out of the room. The door clicks shut behind them and Roman lets himself collapse on the bed with a sigh. “I love it, they’re my brother, but she can be so much sometimes.”

“Maybe look at a mirror,” Virgil laughs. “You’re both so similar and so different, it’s insane.”

“Shut up,” Roman whines, weakly throwing his arm in Virgil’s direction. “I know that already. I just wanna chill and watch a movie or something. I’m beat.”

“Fine, fine,” Virgil huffs fondly. They all had a long week behind them. They still needed to survive tomorrow but afterwards was finally the weekend. “Any ideas on what to watch?”

“Disney.”

“Yeah, I figured, but that hardly narrows it down.”

Before Roman can say any more, a knock again sounds through the room.

“You think Logan forgot something?” Roman wonders, sitting up.

“Nah, he would knock once and then come in. Maybe he sent Remus to get something? Though I doubt it.”

Virgil gets up to open the door again, at least this visitor was a more polite knocker than Remus.

As the door swings open, it reveals a very displeased looking Janus, who immediately groans.

“Hello to you too,” Virgil says amused, though they step aside to let his second partner in, who immediately makes a beeline to the bed and let’s himself fall down on it, placing his head in Roman’s lap.

“I am so done with this week,” Janus whines, not even hiding his annoyed-ness behind his usual snark. That immediately clues both Roman and Virgil in that something is seriously bothering him.

“What happened?” Roman asks, stroking Janus’ hair, pulling a soft purr out of him. Virgil joins them on the bed, moving Janus’ legs so he can sit down beneath him, gently massaging his shins.

“Ugh, Patton’s been driving me up a wall. I love the guy, you know I do, but he’s been just insufferable the last few days.”

“How so?”

“He has some coursework due and been struggling with it. I offered him my help, but he insists that he can get it done by himself. Which would be fine if he wasn’t constantly whining and yelping unhappily while he does so! Plus, his tail goes haywire, too, hitting against his chair. He’s not even aware of it most of the time so even if I ask him to stop it only helps for like a minute at most. Which is also why he can’t do it in the library! I just wanted to read a book in peace, but he just wouldn’t shut up! So, I decided to get out of there before I force him to let me help.”

“A good decision,” Roman agrees. “I’m sure Pat will make it up to you with cookies.”

“He better.” Janus takes a deep breath, the tension in his shoulders slipping away. “I’m not really mad at him.”

“We know,” Virgil reassures.

“It’s understandable that it can get frustrating though. But you’re here now and we can just have a relaxing evening.”

“Yes please,” Janus sighs, pushing his head more into Roman’s hand.

“We were trying to find out what to watch before you came in.”

Janus sits up abruptly, staring at them both accusatory.

“How come I wasn’t invited to this little hangout in the first place?” he pouts. “How often do you do this, leaving me all alone to the coldness of my bed?”

“Oh, stop being dramatic. That’s Roman’s schtick.”

“Hey!”

“And we didn’t plan this. Remus decided he wanted its boyfriend to themselves, so she dragged Roman over here to get their room to himself. We probably would have texted you after we picked something to do.”

“Probably? You wound me, Virgil!”

“We literally just sat down,” Roman adds, again patting Janus’ hair which gets him to relax a bit. “You seem more on edge than usual, are you not sleeping well again?”

Janus sighs, rubbing his temples.

“With the whole Patton thing, I had a hard time concentrating on my own work. And maybe I had a nightmare a few days ago.” He says that last bit quietly and Roman simply hugs him from behind, gently wrapping his wings around him.

“We’re here for you if you want to talk about it.”

“I know.”

“That sounds like someone who doesn’t want to talk about it,” Virgil guesses, eyebrows raised. Janus nods.

“Maybe tomorrow.”

Roman squeezes him one more time before letting go and moving further onto the bed to get comfortable.

“Then let us rest the topic and find something to watch. My vote is for the Emperor’s New Groove!”

“Yeah, I’m cool with that,” Virgil shrugs, pulling out their box full of Disney DVDs. What can they say? They were there for the invention of VHS and DVD and they 100% prefer them over streaming services. Logan and them have a nice set-up of a tv connected with a DVD player, a switch and a PS4.

They pop the DVD in and move back to the bed where Roman is waiting for them with open arms. They’re leaning back against the headrest, wings spread wide and invitingly. Janus has already squished himself between the wall and Roman, his head resting against their thigh. His eyes already seem to grow heaving and Virgil hopes that he can find the rest he clearly needs.

“Want any snacks?” they ask, keeping their voice low. Janus just hums noncommittally, probably in no mood to move while Roman looks thoughtful.

“If you have something not messy or sticky?”

“I’ve got some gummy bears?”

“Sounds good.”

Virgil opens the snack cabinet they share with Logan and pulls out a bag of candy and a bowl, transferring the gummy over so that the rustling of the bag won’t disturb them during the movie. Then they get back to the bed, plop the bowl onto Roman’s lap before taking their seat at his side.

“Thank you, my darling knight,” Roman smiles, pressing a kiss to their cheek before fishing out a gummy from the bowl.

“Shut up and watch the film,” Virgil laughs, leaning into his side. This wasn’t what they had planned for the night, but this works just fine for them.

Name: Azusa

Age: 22

Height: 5’8

Breathing Technique: I originally had her as the Lotus Hashira but then I read the manga and found out about Kanae and went OOP gotta change it lmao. I thought about her being a Crystal Hashira, derived/trained from Gyomei but I never fully decided.

Personality: She’s very calm, cool and collected, kinda like the mediator and has a “mom” presence about her. Whenever inosuke was being Chaotic, she’d walk over, place her hand on his head and go “Now, now, let’s calm down a little hm?”

And as much as inosuke wants to be like 🤬🤬🤬, she has this calming presence around so he grumbles and is like “I’ll try my best I GUESS.”

History: im 100% Just copying and pasting with minor edits what i sent to my friend bc i don’t want to write it properly lmao.

So her family and the Wisteria estate were close friends. When she was 10 her family was killed by demons but she survived and the Wisteria family took her in bc: Friendship™️ and they had a son who she was really close to and they were best friends and whatnot.

Growing up he always said he wanted to become a Hashira bc that’s who his family protects and he wants to honor them, so it was his ultimate dream. And when she was 16 the son admitted to being in love with her but she didn’t reciprocate. So even though he was hurt, he accepted her decision and went off by himself at night to have some alone time.

W E L L He dies By demons And Azusa blames herself bc she tells herself that if she just told him she loved him back then he wouldn’t have gone off on his own and gotten killed. Which is one of the reasons she went off to become a Hashira so she could protect her loved ones and also fulfill the son’s dream . So she goes off, joins demon corps And it’s all good and dandy.

She’s super focused on achieving Hashira status And then she meets: Rengoku And at first she was friendly with him, ya know being civil but then he kept being extra nice to her and just treating her so sweet etc etc etc that she could not help but fall in love with him even tho she was scared bc she’s just reminded of The Son.

They eventually start “dating” but in secret and the only person who’s aware of it is Ubuyashiki.

First Kiss: Their whole relationship, they’re basically dating without actually saying it. One night they’re alone and Rengoku just suddenly asks “my love, will you do me the honor of being mine?”

And Azusa just looks at him and goes “if you’re calling me “my love” then you already know the answer. I’m already yours.”

And then she gently grabs his face and gives him a Kiss™️

Mugen Train Arc: I decided that Azusa is not there on the train but back at home. I also decided that they were engaged and her ring is on her finger while Rengoku’s is a necklace. Rengoku tells Tanjiro to tell his wife that even though they weren’t officially married, it felt like they were every second they spent together. Tanjiro doesn’t understand at first but then Rengoku pulls out his necklace and he recognizes it as the same ring on Azusa’s hand.

Very much movie scene in my head when I pictured this but when the other Hashira find out about Rengoku’s death, Azusa’s crow is the one to come tell her. You never fully see her face, just her walking with the camera stopping right under her eyes or an aerial view from behind as her crow flies next to her head. She gets the news and clutches her ring to her chest.

Infinity Castle Arc: Tanjiro and Giyu are the ones that go and fight Akaza and Azusa is there too. So when Akaza sees her he’s like “and who might you be?”. And she’s staring at him and says “my name is Azusa Rengoku, you killed my husband”

She’s about to just go straight in and murk but then this other demon shows up like “no no sister, you gotta go through me first”. So Azusa ends up fighting that demon while tanjiro and giyu fight Akaza.

But long story short the demon incapacitates her and is all “I think you’d make a good edition to the team, let’s see how you handle killing your teammates” and then forces her to drink muzans blood, turning her into a demon. She’s struggling to not fight tanjiro and the others but either he or someone else has to kill her bc it's too much to fight her/keep her away while also fighting Akaza.

They successfully kill her but right before she dies she sees Rengoku above her and holding his hand out for her to take.

Lyney:Nah. I’ve been through rougher training. Although…this one is certainly awkward.

Yoimiya:*walks by* Hey guys! Oof, looks like someone is having a fun time at Amber’s Archery School. Are you being a diligent student?

Lyney:The teacher is out for my life.

Ganyu:She’s giving him the full course treatment.

Lyney:I don’t think she likes me much…

Yoimiya:Nonsense. Amber likes everyone more or less.

Lyney:Both of you tried fighting me when I arrived.

Yoimiya:Pfft, that’s rivalry things. I think you’re pretty neat. Don’t take Amber’s intensity to heart. She was brutal with me too.

Ganyu:I didn’t have to do every practice like you did but she certainly didn’t hold back.

Lyney:Really? The three of you seem pretty relaxed all the time.

Yoimiya:Amber has a big heart for her friends. She doesn’t slack off in training archers for teams because she knows more than most how important it is to land shots.

Ganyu:Spacial awareness is a huge thing, and any person you work with, Amber already knows their habits extensively. The two of you are remarkably similar.

Lyney:Which means she’s fully prepared to teach me the ins and outs of the job.

Yoimiya:If you’re an archer and responsible for dishing out the most punishment on the team, then missing a shot puts everyone at risk.

Amber:Exactly!

Everyone turns their head to see Amber walking towards them with Bennet.

Amber:I have no hard feelings against you. I just know how chaotic things get when I miss. If someone gets hurt because of it, then it’s on me.

Lyney:I understand that feeling. Guess i jumped to conclusions; sorry.

Amber:No worries. I may or may not have been a little…aggressive at first.

Ganyu:You drew your bow.

Amber:Hehe…anyways, think you keep going?

Lyney:Absolutely. *stands* I’ll become worthy of this leader position.

Amber:Wonderful! Now then, this is Bennett.

Bennett:Hi! It’s an honor to meet you!

Amber:He is likely a little brother to me and is a wonderful teammate! You will be taking down 30 Lawachurls and an assortment of Ruin mechs together. If you need to go to the Statue of the Seven, get knocked out, or let Bennett get knocked out, you fail and have to start over.

Lyney:*dies inside*

Yoimiya:Uuugh, I remember that test…

Ganyu:Hmm? Wasn’t this one of the easier ones? I certainly don’t remember having too many of a hassle. Even Tighnari seemed safe.

Yoimiya and Lyney: (Anyone is safe when they’re shooting a hundred feet away!!)

This is super ironic and honestly very disgusting, both in terms of them attacking kids online for their interests and straight-up grooming the younger antis in their own groups. Teenagers are very impressionable  and easy to manipulate, so of course someone is going to take advantage of that. What makes the manipulation easier is the fact that if you pretend to be against “those filthy weirdos proshitters”, it implies that you would never hurt a kid, and it makes these people feel even more trustworthy to them... Whenever I block a bunch of antis and see a random adult in their friend group, I always get this feeling of “god I hope you are just some pathetic harmless loser”.

But even without taking this particular shitty possibility into account, participating and promoting harassment of actual real people (kids included!!) over fictional characters is always going to be one of the most disgusting manifestations of their hypocrisy.

Well yikes lol Thank you so much for telling us and for your concern, Anon! Unfortunately, it’s not something that we never experienced before; we just figured that even if we block every person who is speaking out publically against us, there are going to be certain people who discuss our stuff on discord. After all, why would they talk about the game and its characters and make something they would actually enjoy? Now that’s just silly. When people have nothing to do or to discuss, they’re going to gossip, pearl-clutch and complain about someone out there actually creating content and being good at it.

The only thing that bothers me about this whole thing is that these people aren’t supposed to be here. This isn’t a place for minors, even if they really really really want to see some disgusting smut to giggle with their friends about. But oh well, as recent events show, even locking your account doesn’t help to keep them away.

I am glad you are out of there though; I guess your intuition was right. I hope you find people to share your stuff with.

Hiii, I'm the Anon who asked about the Leech parents. I didn't expect to see a sketch. Even if it's just their silhouettes, i got lowkey excited, so i was wondering if you're going to finish that sketch one day or post it?

The young leech twins are so cute! they're probably chaotic, too. I also find it interesting that Papa Leech has a cane, and Mama Leech looks like she's wearing a kimono!

That being said, I think it's very interesting that Twisted Wonderland not only has a bunch of interesting characters, but so are their parents/family! Besides the Leech parents, I find Mama Rosehearts and Mrs. Ashengrotto also very interesting despite only being mentioned a few times! I genuinely like that they include a little bit of information about each characters family instead of doing the typical anime trope of "Dead parents" or "Parents are overseas", it's very refreshing.

Hi Anon <3 I am very happy you liked the sketch! I’m not sure if I’m going to finish this one, but I would love to draw the Leech parents properly and in colour one day. Let’s hope for the best!

Little tweels used to be little spoiled shits lol I mean they still are, but you’re right, they were very chaotic at that age too. And I’m glad you liked the kimono and the cane! The moment we started thinking about the Leeches being yakuza, I couldn’t stop picturing Mama Leech as a sly woman in a kimono, so I am actually especially excited to draw her properly one day. I am not sure if Papa Leech even needs a cane, but it makes him look more impressive I guess… similarly to Azul lol, but maybe he does need to use a cane, maybe he isn’t as good at using his human legs, maybe he used to be better at it but it’s more difficult for him now.

I also absolutely agree with you. I am so glad that we have so many different type of families and parents in Twst. I feel like every character has a story to tell about how they were raised, and it always affects their personalities, motivations, and values. Even just comparing Mama Rosehearts and Mama Ashengrotto is very interesting, I would honestly love to learn more about every single Twst parent or sibling lol

Hmmm, let’s see!

Floyd – probably whenever he is being more or less serious and focused?? If he just sits there, writing something down, thinking about the test and stuff. Granted, Riddle only experienced a sight like this once, but the butterflies in his stomach he felt that day were unforgettable.

Trey – whenever he handles the dough or cooks in general, but maybe this is just Riddle being excited about the fact that he’s going to eat a cake soon lol But also whenever Trey tries to discipline someone. He likes it when he gets a bit strict with others.

Chenya – this one is easy, whenever he winks at Riddle. Whenever he does it, Riddle gets very flustered. It’s been years and he still can’t get over it and get used to it.

Ace – this one is also rare, but when he does something… handsome and confident and not annoying at the same time? When he shows him a magic trick, hides all the cards somehow and goes “ta-daa” with a smug smile. Nevermind, this one is still annoying LOL but if he took a coin out of behind of Riddle’s ear, Riddle would probably blush a little.

1. Consider that Ortho has the ability to just absolutely flabbergast Malleus. Leave him totally speechless with his technology powers. Malleus has not a single clue how this little guy works

2. Consider Rollo... if Malleus was thinking he was a top and got met with DISAPPOINTMENT. Now imagine the opposite... If he's convinced that Ortho is probably a bottom, and is in for a very pleasant surprise!!

3. Not only does Ortho have the ability to flabbergast Malleus, but ALSO Malleus shoots out lightning when he gets frustrated, and Ortho is afraid of lightning.... I just think that's a little hot. And very interesting <3

4. For two characters that are both super OP they are surprisingly on very equal footing, but I can imagine both of them getting that NRC mindset that they're still definitely better than each other, flirting with each other about it even ( flirting = fighting to the death for fun)

5. Consider Malleus in a muzzle. This is irrelevant to my case. Consider it anyway 🤤

6. Their longevity..... Malleus is going to live for, what, another thousand years or so? He's going to outlive everyone at NRC for sure, and we have no idea how long Ortho will live, but assuming he can manage his own repairs, he could live for... Basically however long he wants, give or take. They are sort of the only ones who can "grow old" with each other.... extremely interesting to me

Anon, this is VERY IMPRESSIVE, you really made me think about these two. It’s a very good ship on so many levels, and every point that you made is 👌👌👌 Come to think of it, the vignette in which Ortho helped Malleus to come up with the Halloween costume idea was very fun. They are so different with how bad Malleus is at technology and how bad Ortho is at… lightning and stuff lol

Malleus is absolutely going to be surprised to learn that Ortho is a top, but then he’s probably going to start noticing how Ortho is similar to Lilia in a lot of ways. And this is absolutely going to amuse him.

The longevity is also a good point. I think this is the only character combo that could stay forever for hundreds of years?? (Sebek, about whom I forgot, is crying in the corner somewhere...) Which is very fun, considering how much both of them would hate to say goodbye to their loved ones.

The 5th point was very sneaky lol but very much worth considering. I nod in agreement. Yes.
