YESSSSS!! More Clone Wars/Bad Batch requests!! Thank you so much @pretty-fly-for-a-sky-guy ! I always go to write request like these right away because the Bad Batch and the Clone Wars are my hyper fixation at the moment so I’m always looking to express my love for it! This request is adorable!! Anakin and Rex would be such a chaotic duo of Littles together. Good luck to their Caregivers. Please enjoin the Headcannons below! Thank you for the request!

With what the two of them face in their daily lives, it’s no wonder Anakin and Rex are Regressors.
It all starts out with Anakin. Beyond stressed out with what the Jedi constantly asks of him. He was almost at a breaking point before Padame stepped in.
She introduced him to the idea of age regression. Something that at first he found really silly, but then found really really soothing. Anakin was ripped away from his mother at such a young age, he never had a chance to just be a kid.
Padame became his only Caregiver until Obi Wan found out. During a mission together Anakin returned to the shuttle and immediately started to regress without realizing it. Obi Wan, who knew right away what was happening, stepped in and watches over the boy.
Together Padame and Obi Wan became his primary Caregivers. Hiding Anakin’s regression from the Jedi and anyone else who would try to use it against him.
Regression does wonders for Anakin. He was able to run around, play with toys, create fun make believe missions, get into trouble…well…that last one he seems to do in and out of his regression.
But there was still something missing…he wanted a friend.
He couldn’t very well just ask someone. And he couldn’t force them. But the Galaxy has a funny way of doing things.
Being the Captain of the 501st has its advantages! But it also has its disadvantages. One being the amount of stress and guilt he has over his team.
Anakin witnesses this stress with Rex and realizes the perfect solution. When the two are alone Anakin begins to explain age regression to Rex.
At first Rex doesn’t really understand it and doesn’t know if he would make a good Little at all. For one, he’s never had a childhood…what do kids even do? Secondly he’s worried about his team finding out but Anakin and Obi Wan reassure him otherwise. Most of all he’s worried he might ruining regression for Anakin by doing something wrong. But he couldn’t be farther from the truth.
Anakin brings Rex along whenever he goes to regress with either Padame or Obi Wan. At first Rex just kind of seems lost as to what to do.
But they slowly start to coax him into cuddling or listening to a book or coloring. Eventually, in time, Rex becomes a care free, relaxed and over all happy Little.
Anakin becomes the token “big brother” while Rex becomes the “little brother.” Though the have the opposite personalities
A new Caregiver is added to the mix and that’s Ashoka. Rex brought her in on his regression when he was alone from the generals and just needed someone to look after him. Ashoka couldn’t be more honored and happy to do so.
Rex loves to hang around Ashoka. He always holds her hand and stays close to her. When he draws her something, he loved to sit and explain everything in the picture and why he drew it for her. “And this is us on the ship together. See? I drew your lightsaber.” “I do see. Wow! You’re amazing at drawing Rex.”
Seeing the two Littles play together is adorable to Padame, Ashoka and Obi Wan. Just like on the battlefield, Anakin takes the lead instructing Rex on what they’re going to play or what they’re going to draw. Rex always follows along like a good soldier would.
Anakin becomes the token “big brother” while Rex becomes the “little brother.” Though the have the opposite personalities.
With Anakin, he isn’t the most careful and usually goes into everything head first. When he brings Rex into his antics, it’s a recipe for disaster. *cue glass breaking* “Rex did it.” “I did not!”
While they’re very close and very energetic Little’s, the two also have totally different personalities when it comes to regression.
Anakin is a bit feisty when it comes to following rules and such. He always tries to get out of doing something while Rex never fights the rules and is always looking to help.
Rex aka “maybe we should ask our caregivers first.” Anakin aka “nah, let’s go for it” Skywalker
When he’s in trouble, Anakin will always blame it on Rex. But their caregiver know Rex would NEVER and put Anakin in a time out. He pouts but goes anyway.
What they are is cuddle bugs. Anakin always cuddles with Padame. It’s the only way his Little self will ever go to sleep, is if she’s next to him. The same goes for Rex with Ashoka. Obi Wan on the other hand discovered that if he cards his hand through either one of their hair, the sensation put them right to sleep. It’s his go to trick.
Rex’s favorite activity is drawing. He never really got the opportunity to try it as a kid so now he’s in love with it. He loves to make pictures for everyone. They always hanging it up to make Rex feel special about his creations, and he really does!
Anakin’s favorite activity is make believe games with Rex. They’re knights saving the princesses aka Padame and Ashoka or if one of them is missing Obi Wan becomes the princess.
Rex is a sleepy baby when he regresses. Alway falling asleep on his crayons. Meanwhile Anakin always fights nap time.
Rainy days are Rex’s favorite! He loves hearing the rain come down, hitting the window and making puddles outside. It reminds him of Kamino and soothes him.
After a while of regressing, Rex wants to bring someone else in to be their Caregiver too. Someone that isn’t a Jedi, but rather a clone who can understand him on that level. Someone he can relate to. That becomes Commander Cody.
Obi Wan is thrilled about the new Caregiver. Cody, who surprisingly knew a lot about regression, was more than happy to be able to look after Rex and Anakin when the others needed a well deserved break. He especially liked to hang out with Obi Wan outside of the battle field.
Rex really connects with Cody and is always happy over the big deal Cody makes whenever Rex draws him something as well. “This is for me? To keep? I am so honored Rex! This is a master piece!”
At the end of the day Rex and Anakin love all four of their Cgs. But it’s no secret to anyone that Anakin feels closer to Obi Wan and Padame while Rex is closer to Ashoka and Cody.
If one of them gets sick they both handle it very differently. Anakin is a big baby when he’s sick, laying around and wanting cuddles. Rex tried to hide his cold for as long as possible until he practically collapses. Then he turns into a cuddle bug like Anakin.
Doesn’t matter if they’re on the battlefield or the playroom, Anakin and Rex are superior duo. Both as Captain and General, or as Big brother and little brother.

Cody: So everything is going smoothly on Coruscant? Thire: Y--Hold on... Rex: A message? Thire, clearing his throat after checking his datapad: Fox... Cody: What? What happened? Thire: We have a public chat where all of the Coruscant Guard can communicate, and Fox, being the di'kut that he is, just accidentally posted shirtless pictures of himself in it. Rex: ...I don't believe you. Thire: Just say you want to see them. Cody: Let us see! Thire, showing them the datapad: Another collectible for the Coruscant Guard. They trade them like cards. Our specialist is going to delete it soon, so enjoy it while you still can. Rex: The Guard must be sweating right n-- Cody: What are you doing!? Save it! Thire: Nope. Watch it disappear, boys. Never to be seen again. Rex: You're evil! Cody: Evil!

7th Sky Marshall Commander Fox and Commander of the Coruscant Guard Cody
instead of actually writing the codyfoxswap fic or anything crazy like that 😅😂, I spent a day imagining what their armor might be like (Yeah I know Fox is in Phase 1 and Cody is in Phase 2, also Cody’s elbow pads aren’t shown but if they were they’d be solid red, and they are both on my shit list for having helmet visors)

What about the pact between two brothers who know they’re going to die early, after they get thrown right away into the most traumatic bloodbath battle-as-massacre of the war. But they get separated right away, and one of them gets sent to be a frontline commander on the fields of battle where his men keep being sent into charnelhouse after charnelhouse with the line barely ever meaningfully moving. And the other gets sent to the central city planet, cut off from the rest of the galaxy, being radicalized against his brothers and acting as some combination of slave/cop/security for the politicians and the wealthy who would never get their hands dirty with war.

WHAT IF THEYRE ALL COGS IN THE MACHINE BUT THEY CANT SEE IT YET MAYBE CAN’T SEE IT EVER YOU CAN’T SEE THE FOREST FROM INSIDE THE TREES YOU CANT SEE THAT YOURE BOTH PART OF THE SYSTEM UNTIL YOURE STEPPING OUT BECAUSE ITS FALLING DOWN! And what about when they order you to shoot your brother’s brother, who should be yours, too, and you comply?? Are you still brothers, have you become something else?? Has the machine eaten you? Is there a difference between being inside it and becoming it? Will you hold your fire long enough to ask yourself that question ?

- very strict with bedtime!! if you push back, he will pick you up and cuddle you so you can’t get out of bed lol
- he lovesss taking care of you. depending on your age, he will rock and bottle feed you, help you get dressed, bathe you, cook for you (he’s not the best and options are limited but it’s the thought that counts), etc. it’s really sweet and you can tell he enjoys it as much, or maybe even more than you do
- he doesnt seem to display the drawings that you make for him… this makes you sad until you see that he hangs them all up in his office!!
- sometimes when you’re stressed/triggered he will sing to you, really quietly. its soothing and he has a nice voice
- when you break rules he isn’t very lenient in punishments but he always reassures you that he loves you and that it’s ok to mess up
- force help you if you say anything bad about yourself lol.. he takes this very seriously and won’t stop giving you affection and taking care of you until you’re feeling better and can say so to his face
- he’s not much for running around to play with you. he prefers watching you while you do quieter activities like coloring or playing with toys

Well...That Esclated Quickly
Here is another idea that came to me during my walk to work.  I want you to know, though it goes in a humorous direction it really is not a full fix-it.
When Order 66 went live, some of the chips did not activate. There is no rhyme nor reason as to which chips activate and which did not. Not a huge amount compared to the whole, but some. Enough that a few hundred Jedi and a Few thousand Clones regroup in the aftermath.
While you can fill in most of the blanks the following are included in my idea
Obi Wan Kenobi and a company’s worth of 212th clones, including Cody: Obi Wan was still shot off the cliff, to the horrified eyes of the still free clones. The still free clones don't have enough numbers to take on their brethren who appear to have gone insane, but do have enough to steal one of the midsized transport ships, one capable of hyperspace flight.  They reluctantly allow Obi Wan to go to Coruscant on his own, with the rationale that one person can sneak to the surface much easier than a whole company, while the clones establish a regroup point.  From there Obi Wan goes on the Mustafar, which ends as it did in canon. Obi Wan brings Padme to the transport ship where she still dies of complications of her pregnancy
Fox, Hound, a dozen other members of the CG, and the Younglings: Fox and the few members of the CG that were unaffected by O66 raced to beat the 501st to the Temple. They made it just a few minutes before their enslaved brothers. Just barely in time to evacuate the children in the creche with the help (and insistent sacrifice) of the adult Jedi.  While there were a few Creche Masters evacuated with the children, it was now basically just Fox and his CG functionally in charge of baby Jedi ranging from Babies to Pre teens. They connect with remains of the 212th before the events of Mustafar.
Yoda, who did still have to kill his commander in order to escape, but was able to bring a few clones with him.  They still end up being collected by Bail Organa.
Ahsoka, Rex, Jesse and  a portion of the maintenance team for their battalion: They do not meet up with the rest for quite some time (at least three years). Rex’s chip did activate but he was able to get Ahsoka the message about Fives. After Rex is freed they find Jesse and the other free clones (soft shells all) looking on in horror at their controlled brethren. With the help of the maintenance team they are able to escape from the ship without freeing Maul or crashing into the moon.  By the time they are able to look past the immediate situation, the Temple is already burning and it has been announced that the Jedi are traitors. These 25 or so go to ground in Mandalorian space and try to figure out how to free the clones from the chips (beyond surgery which really does not work with the numbers they have to deal with). They do not realize anyone else has survived.
Aayla survived, due to one of the clones (not Bly) pushing her out of the way and sacrificing his life for her. Bly’s chip does work. She escapes with two dozen free clones and six chipped clones tied up in the back (Including Bly, even the clones agree they cannot save everyone and hopefully it means that they can figure out what is going wrong).
Shaak Ti, 10 Veteran clones, 40 ‘Shinies’, 300 child and teenage cadets, three junior Kaminoan Scientists (not Nala Se) none of which knew about the chip or Order 66, and Omega.  Shaak Ti had been working with a few Kaminoan Scientists to see the clones as sentients in their own right and the reactions of the clones under the chip's control horrified a few of those scientists.  Between them and Omega, who had been paying attention and used this as a chance to escape the lab (the Bad Batch being off planet at the time) they were able to evacuate anyone not under the control of the chip.
All of these people (Barring Ahsoka and Co) converge on the ship that had been stolen by the free 212th clones. Had less children survived (about a third of the living Jedi are children under the age of 11, plus the cadets) they all would likely have split into small groups and made their own way through the galaxy. But there was just no way to break into small enough groups to be safe AND still make sure the children (and to some extent the Shinies) were taken care of.  They were also too large a group to go anywhere in the Republic, or even anywhere in Mandalorian space (There were an awful lot of uninhabited planets in the galaxy but most were uninhabited for a reason). Thus there was only one thing they could do.
Take over the Hutt Empire.
To be fair the take over part did start out accidentally. The actual goal was to find a place to lay low in the Hutt Empire, possibly the only place Palpatine’s Empire could not reach quite yet(at least until Palpatine solidified his rule).
So they found a planet within the Hutt Empire to lay low on, While Bail Organa left to begin planting the seeds for the rebellion (No Leia as the twins were not being split up). As much as I want it to be Tattoine, it just has too small a population to not have a couple of thousand people (Most of whom hide their very distinctive faces) showing not be noticeable. So they choose a planet with a higher population.
This is where the trouble began. All of our adults are deeply traumatized, trained warriors who are not used to sitting by, universally feeling useless. They are facing an insurmountable task, still mostly directionless, and deeply angry at life.
It starts with the local Hutt’s minions trying to shake down some newcomers, who were not looking for a target to vent their spleen but found one just the same. It does not end well for the minions. Nor the next six attempts, with different groups of Clones and Jedi each time.  No one has told Command yet, but they look at each other and ‘shit we can’t keep drawing attention to ourselves but we can’t leave either’
The solution (Commander Cody himself would like to reiterate this was not the correct solution)? Take out the Hutt. Then they realize that taking out the Hutt has just drawn more attention to this city as the other Hutts for the planet try to figure out who took out this one.
The next Solution? Take out the rest of the Hutts on the planet.
They have now drawn even more attention to the planet from yet more Hutts. This is the one thing that is critical they do not have.
The next Solution? Try three to make this plan work (Commander Cody reminds you that trying the same thing over and over again, hoping for different results, is the definition of insanity) and take out the Hutts looking for answers.
By the time that these small groups have admitted to Command (Obi Wan, Cody, Yoda, Shaak Ti, Fox) what is going on, a few months later, they have accidentally taken over the Hutt Empire.
The Hutt Empire that is still nominally allied with Palpatine’s Empire. The Hutt Empire that has to stay allied to Palpatine’s Empire if they do not want to draw the attention of the entire Imperial Forces to the largest concentration of living Jedi and free Clones in the galaxy.  The Hutt Empire that no longer has any active Hutts.
In this the human centric leaning of Palpatine’s Empire is actually helpful.  They very rarely wanted to deal with other species, so it was easy to appoint someone unknown but human to deal with the com calls and visits. It does mean that they have to make up a Hutt that they essentially have to play ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ with, a couple of times a year when a representative insists on meeting with the Hutt in charge.
Also the fact that Palpatine’s Empire is more interested in enslaving their own citizens for free as opposed to buying them from the Hutts means that they can shut down the slave trade within Hutt Space (over time).  Fox both loves and hates running a criminal empire.
It should be noted that, even with Bly and the five other chipped clones, no one actually knows what is going on until Rex and Co find their way back to them.  We are going with the thought that a level 5 atomic scan is a ludicrously high level of scanning. Like sitting on a Nuclear Reactor to get an X-Ray kind of ludicrous, so not only does no one think to do that level of scanning to see what is wrong, but they do not even have that kind of equipment readily available.  The reports about Fives from Rex never made it to any kind of centralized repository, there is no way to know why most clones suddenly started to kill Jedi. Bly and Co spend the three years before Rex shows up in a makeshift brig, they can function almost normally until a Jedi is brought up or in the room with them.
Bail laughs his ass off when he is told, through several intermediaries and coded messages, that the Jedi and the Clones accidentally took over a criminal empire.  Then he starts funneling the Path and the people his rebellion are rescuing into Hutt Space to find the Jedi.
Three years in Rex, Ahsoka, the clones with them (now having grown to nearly another thousand) arrive with the news that they can disable the chips from a distance of about a large cruiser.
That is how the Hutt Empire became freedom fighters.

Fox is very "You're On Your Own, Kid" coded to me
He totally is! I got this idea while listening to the song so not entirely sure if it fits but really hope so
-
CC-1010 was already up from the med bed, pulling on his boots with shaky hands. Morphine courses through his veins still yet it can’t stop the pain that pounds with every heart beat.
Heartache.
A metaphorical pain for the removal of a figurative person.
At least that’s what it should have been. The pain is real, as is the sinking of his stomach and the burning behind his eyes.
The chip lies meticulously on the side table, taunting CC-1010 of what he removed. Who he removed.
He should have fought harder. Maybe even told the truth, but they wouldn’t have understood.
Or maybe they would but then he’d be pitied and the last thing he or Fox needed was their goddamn pity.
CC-1010 stood up, barely resisting the urge to sit back down from the dizziness that overcame him. He barely took a step forward when the medbay doors opened.
“Fox!” Cody smiled as he walked towards the bed and CC-1010 squashes the need to correct him on the name. Rex and the rest of the batch are behind him, as is Thorn and the other CG commanders.
“How ya feeling, Fox?” Wolffe asks and CC-1010 has to look away from their intense stares.
How Fox did it was a mystery; of course, it was in his program. A metaphorical persona created by the chip to follow orders. Why wouldn’t he know how to do it?
CC-1010 mutters “fine” and hope they take the hint to leave him alone.
They don’t.
Cody’s smile dips faintly. “Fox, are you okay?”
CC-1010 thinks back to the conversation he had while under anesthesia, the one where Fox realized he wasn’t the real clone, who cried as he was forced to stay behind as CC-1010 had to take the steps forward to wake up.
CC-1010 wishes Fox kept his mouth shut about the blackouts, the anomaly he experienced when “under the chip” - because every clone remembered being under the chip. They didn’t have control but they remember their actions, their words, their everything.
Fox didn’t.
Of course he wouldn’t. He was the chip.
CC-1010 wishes Fox kept his mouth shut; now he was forced to live a life he’s barely experienced since the beginning of the war, only partaking in the missions Palpatine gave him.
It was a quiet life. Easy. He was able to watch Fox as he did the grunt work, the dirty job, only stepping in when need be but now…
“You made the wrong decision,” he says finally and Cody’s face shifts. Changes from confusion to the stone-cold expression CC-1010 has been used to since he was a cadet.
Fox made the step forward to be close to his batch. CC-1010 only cared to survive long enough to get off Kamino.
“You’re not Fox.”
Simple. Easy. Truth. A head shake signifying no. A thump to the ground. A too loud cry. Dropped faces. Broken expressions. Betrayal. Pain. Disbelief.
CC-1010 wonders if they would have felt this way if it was him to have been taken out…murdered by suicidal choice.
Because it was ultimately suicide. Fox wanted the chip out. He wanted to be free from orders and a lack of control. CC-1010 was the only one to argue against it but everyone thought it was because he was trying to save himself.
“I told you not to.” CC-1010 feels pity for the clones who stand before him, wishing for a persona that was barely even real. He dug into their pain even further with a “You didn’t listen,” as that could make up for the fact that his…his…he doesn’t know what Fox was but he was gone now. He can never come back and it’s all their fault.
They. Didn’t. Listen.
The nauseating anger that rose up when Cody turned his face away as though it would hide the fact that it is CC-1010 who stands before him and not their precious Fox has CC-1010 snapping.
The punch wasn’t worth it, nor was the cursing. But by then, CC-1010 was already pushing against the small crowd to leave the medbay.
He didn’t need them. He’s never needed them.

A character you hc as a caregiver
Tumblr media
Commander Cody⭐️
One of my most favourite characters that I think would definitely be a cg is Cody! He’s a stickler about rules (like when bedtime is), but he’s also very caring and supportive. He’s wonderful at remaining calm no matter how upset his ad’ika may get, and even better at helping them calm down and feel safe. He will never admit it, but he gets just as excited for reading bedtime stories as his ad’ika is to hear them.
(“ad’ika” means child in mandolorian)

T Squad; An Edited List
Important Things to Know:
All of Tea Squad, part is the 713th battalion, is assigned to the Coruscant Temple after the events with Ahsoka’s trial. They are technically part of the Corrie Guard, but focused on General/Tubie General defense rather than politicians and crime
The 713th is almost 80% made of Speedies. The speedies were trained by an Alpha- he was called Aiwha- and IDOLIZE most of the Halfsie Clones
All of T Squad is speedies, meaning they are like 2 years old.
CG VERY quickly began to work with the 713th to use the TCG(Temple Clone Guard) as a leave for the Corries, as the Corries have a similar ratio of Speedies to Halfsies because of decommissioning and reconditionings.
Both are at about 3/4 of the companies they should have. The two cycle through a battalion's worth of CG for TCG as a time. They run on a
The CC in charge of the 713th was part of Fox’s batch. CC-1011 was fast tracked to command after the Need for the 713th became known. Originally, Snake was a medic.
Fox and Snake have only had an swapped on/off shift once, too paranoid about the consequences. (Until the stuff with Ceremony goes down)
713th Companies are: Archives, Fountains, Towers, and Creche Companies.
Towers Company focused on defense of the 5 large towers.
Fountain Company is for defense of the bulk of the main temple, the majority just like the Room of a Thousand Fountains best
Archive Company is focused on defense of both the archives, and the Under levels.
Creche Company is the code name for the mixed company of Corrie Guards and 713th who are on break shift, thier version of leave, and is thus an ever cycling group. They also tend to hang around the Creche and are much beloved by them.
Corrie Guard is also known as 1st Battalion/Home Guard.
Later, Caff(a halfsie clone), Tisane(a speedie medic), Tincture(Tisane’s medic assistant) and Nightcap (a halfsie clone who is from Krell’s battalion) join.
The OG Members of Tea Squad/T Squad
CC 13-8-0526, AKA Sergeant Teapot, they/he, is a Speedie. Teapot is in-charge of a squad in Archive. Teapot’s idol is Commander Cody/CC-2224, after he said one (1) time on Kamino “Nice planning, Tubie.” And its gotten worse since.
CT-13-2639, AKA Oolong, pronouns they/them. Oolong is among the most curious of T-Squad. Oolong also can’t hit the broad side of a starship with a blaster…No one knows how they survived training on Kamino, and Oolong just smirks when people ask.
CT 11-2-2053, AKA Teacup, they/she is second in command. Teacup was in fact voted into the spot because its funny. Teacup is a “short model” (as in 2 inches shorted than most clones). Yes T Squad teases them for it. She makes them take laps through the temple for it.
CT-34-9-8873 AKA Leaf, he/him. basically a little Dogma, but mixed with rules lawyering. Commander Snake loves him dearly.
CT-77-8-8777, AKA Meditate he/she, calls the grouping of Ceremony, Reverie and her "triple 7"
CT-13-1-3777, AKA Ceremony, they/them, Ceremony is HIGHLY interested in Jedi beliefs, and the tenets of the Jedi Order. Ceremony secretly hopes to join the Jedi EduCorps after the war.
CT-77-7-7770, AKA Reverie, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ pronouns, a silly goose who could care less about the war. Reverie is constantly reading and daydreaming. *Note that in the OG post "Brew" replaced the name Reverie, but Reverie refused to have that name.
CT-20-1-3419, AKA Chip, she/her, information specialists. Very good at sneaky, has a guilty pleasure of writing romanance novels.
CT-47-4567, AKA Matcha, she/her, Chip's editor of the romanance novel. Matcha and Yerba are twins, technically. They have the seeming "twin telepathy"
CT-47-4568, AKA Yerba, he/him, Yerba is a contraband enthusist... meaning he makes moonshine, because the normal troopers try and keep the speedies from drinking alcohol.
Other fun info: Aiwha still loves to freak the 713th out but randomly appearing on Coruscant. The Creche loves him.
T squad eventually becomes part of a oversized squad (14 instead of 9 troopers,) due to Senate bullcrap.
JT-F8, the tea droid, has become very fond of all of the Archives Battalion, but also has begun to record the Clone Troopers, and so have many of the JTs. Tea/T Squad is just the one that F8 claimed.

001 for Kix/Rex and 002 for Thorn?
Kix/Rex - 001 | send me a ship and I will tell you:
when I started shipping it if I did: I only sort of ship them. They aren't a pairing that I think about all that much, but there is a lot of potential there.
my thoughts: I think they're most interesting towards the end of the war or way after it. I think them getting closer as the rest of original torrent die is tasty, particularly when Kix just ups and leaves himself. I also think relationships between officers and medics is a fun time because of the weird power structures.
What makes me happy about them: I think there's so much potential for angst which is really what I'm here for.
What makes me sad about them: See above
things done in fanfic that annoys me: I think Kix is often flattened out and denied a lot of characterisation beyond "medic"
things I look for in fanfic: I've only read fanfic of them from a couple people. They aren't a ship I go looking for.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: For Rex, Cody is the big one. Echo too. For Kix, I do like him meeting Ahsoka again in the New Republic Era.
My happily ever after for them: This isn't really happy for them, but it makes me happy: Kix being released a little earlier from his pod and finding Rex again. But Kix is still young, with so much of his life a head of him while Rex is at the end of his. So they have these two or three years together knowing that Kix is going to end up alone.
who is the big spoon/little spoon: I don't think they're picky.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity: I think they should both be into sports ball but always supporting rival teams.
Thorn - 002 | Give me a character & I will tell you:
How I feel about this character: Thorn is the best boy who deserves only good things which is a shame because I pair him with Fox. I think he's a man who has made the conscious choice to be kind despite his circumstances.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Fox, Rex, and Cody a little
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Stone
My unpopular opinion about this character: I think he's got plenty of anger of his own to work through. As I said above, being kind is a choice he's made, it's not always one that comes easy to him.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: It sure would be nice if any of the CG commanders had got to have a conversation with each other.
my OTP: Fox (Sorry Thorn)
my cross over ship: I got nothing. I don't really do crossover ships all that much.
a headcanon fact: He has a stomach of steal. He can eat more or less any food with no issues, even stuff that is technically poisonous to humans.

Statistics:
Characters The first year it's all been in the same fandom. Mostly clone-centric, but also a handful of Sith/Falling plotlines (including an AU I've had in the works for months).
Fox took the brunt as usual (15 fills, sorry Fox), with a few less common characters (Kix, Ima-Gun Di, Wolffe) or group/meta.
Format This year's fills were all written rather than art, totalling almost 6000 words across 17 drabbles, 8 ficlets (av 360w , max 660w), and 7 poems.
I also trialled a new system of posting drabbles as their own work on AO3, and was reminded that means finding 31 sets of tags...

This is definitely an interesting — but not unwelcome — AU! If that image was in the commander chat (which, I imagine, has EVERY SINGLE COMMANDER IN THE GAR plus a few others like Rex) what were their reactions? Did the ones who knew exactly what they were looking at frantically shove their data pads at their Jedi? Did the Council drag the rather-drunk CG commanders into an emergency holo-meeting? How did it all go down? And what did they tell the public in the end for how they'd found out?
Oh yeah it was a chat where every Commander (and Rexy) was in so of course it created one big chaos.
Cody immediately showed this picture to Obi Wan but even Obi wan was speechless. After few seconds that felt like hours he contacted Council while Cody tried to call Fox. But see, the Guards commanders rarely party all together because someone has to be on duty. But they had a really tough week and needed relax so bad decisions were made.
'How much did you guys drink, Fox?!' 'Yes' And Cody just knows there is no point in even talking with these morons.
Anyways the next day Corries wake up with the biggest hangover ever and the war is over somehow??? XD

Corrie Guard Shenanigans when the GAR higher ups get plopped into the drunk tank after a rare night at 79s?
Tumblr media
Ahhhhh I love the premise.
For now this is notes. It may well become a fic:
———
For starters they are entirely 100% professional and never ever even consider getting revenge for the way the CG are treated and referred to by the rest of the GAR.
For second, the above statement is a total lie.
If there are three things the Corrie Guard have skill with, it’s paperwork and patience and dealing with verbal abuse and that pays off.
That means processing and later discharging can take hooooooours depending on the person, or like 2 minutes if the Guard like you. General Skywalkers processing took two days once (he may be a Jedi but he’s too close to Palpatine and too fond of Palpatine to ever be on their side surely and not afraid to use that or his Jedi position to throw his weight about. Plus he’d traumatised some shinies who caught him and Senator Amidala together) Commander Cody’s took 7 hours (on Fox’s orders) as did Wolffes and Bly’s (serves them right for drinking without him). Ponds has never been thrown in the Dunk Tank, (but he’s been in the Jedi Temples one once, none of his vode know about that).
Rex’s took 10 minutes. Fox will deny having a soft spot for his little brother.
Tarkin’s release forms were mysteriously lost and not processed. Three times. (Not three separate occasions, three times on one occasion, but he definitely deserved it).
Monnk ended up there along with General Fisto and three other troopers from their squad. Their release wasn’t delayed for any malicious or opinionated reason, simply that a drunk Kit Fisto is one of the most entertaining things they’d seen in weeks and not only did they need a holo but it was free entertainment. Especially having the drunk vode with him either joining in or trying to stop them embarrassing themselves.
All funny footage gets shared but nothing private or personal. Vode are careful about things like that.
General Koon never made it to the drunk tank. Even if he went out and got drunk, he’d never make it to the tank. No matter how drunk he is (it only happened twice through the war) he’s always guided back to the Temple and taken care of. He’s just always so kind and compassionate and once he bought them chocolates and sweets and he uses the correct pronouns and asks for them. He loves the vode and he’s helping fight for their legal rights and only ever gets drunk after a mission with huge losses so it wouldn’t be fair. Wolffe was right about him being a Buir. (He gives the best hugs too).
Vos sometimes ends up in the tank despite none of the vode being able to remember putting him in there or arresting him. He comments on it being cheaper than a hotel and they decide to ignore it because it’s not going to be worth asking. Besides he may be a menace sometimes but he is usually investigating corruption or gangs and works with them sometimes. He’s also fun for an off the books anti senate bitching session.
Padawans never get logged in. They get blankets and help with the hangover but they’re cadets or shinies and that means they’re worth protecting. All Jedi are, especially when they’re in such a similar boat to the clones, but the knights and masters are old enough to suffer the consequences of their actions.
Well, almost all the Jedi have their records kept blank so the Senate can’t go after them any further after the first time the vode in the Guard realised the records were being used to punish the Jedi by limiting their access to things like food and medical supplies in the Temple.
There’s a list of Senators only the Guard have access to about which ones are treated well and which can be left for the night.
There’s also a short list of Jedi who can be mistreated because they mistreat clones. It’s a very short list though.
The Jedi who are most well known as part of the Clones Rights project all also get a free pass including Koon, Kenobi, Windu, Billaba, Luminara and Erin. They all end up back in the Temple instead of the Drunk Tank.
Hound has a group session set up for vode who have shifts with awful verbal abuse and the occasional physical attack because it’s not fair. The other vode in the GAR can be spiteful when drunk towards the CG because of the misconception that they are never at risk and never do anything being on Coruscant rather than the front lines. It’s good to have someone to talk to after an evening of people who are supposed to be your family yell hate at you and call you names.
That got kinda serious towards the end but I’ll leave you with one final fun fact.
No-one wants the shift when the 501st is docked because the tank always ends up full but the worst is actually the 21st Nova Corps.
———
Thanks for the ask this was really fun.
(The whole AU should be in the tag ‘my Corrie guard au’ if anyone wants to read more) and my inbox is open for asks. (-:

CT-2012 "Saga"
Saga is old. No one knows exactly how old. His number suggests he's younger than Fox but older than Cody. Except no one remembers him from Kamino. Even Alpha-17 can't quite place Saga. Everyone knows he's not an Alpha (surely 17 would remember him then, right?) and not a Null (there were only ever 12, and only 6 of those survived). Haha. Right?? Is 2012 even his real number?
Saga is mean. He isn't gentle. He isn't kind. He won't smile at you. He won't give you the time of day. He'll bad mouth just about anything. Commander Fox? Check. The Chancellor? Check. The Republic? The Jedi? Shinies? Check, check, check. He drinks. He swears. He hates small talk and hates being interrupted in the middle of a tirade.
He's the Coruscant Guard's chief surgeon and takes orders from no one. Not Fox. Not the CMO, Myth. Not even the goddamn Kaminoans. It's his theater and you are not going to come in here, half scrubbed, thinking you can tell him what to do or how to do it. Get fucked. He's there to put troopers back together and keep them alive.
He probably would have been a better fit for a field station not a med center on Coruscant. But it is a good thing he's part of the CG or Fox would not be alive.
His singular friend is Myth, who can put up with the ranting and the cursing, and who understands Saga's issue isn't a lack of manners, it's a shield against grief. Saga can actually convince Myth to unwind, and is a safe person to vent his own concerns and troubles to without judgement (usually because Sage agrees with him and they are usually complaining about Fox).
Saga can be kind, when necessary, but he is awkward and unsure of himself when he is.
For those of you reading NAT, you know Vaughn's batch was culled for defects like "independent thinking" too extreme even for the ARC program. Vaughn was spared because he wasn't as "defective" and showed promise. Saga however, survived being culled. He keeps this secret. He doesn't talk about it. He doesn't approach Vaughn even after helping Kix save Vaughn's life. Saga's walls around his pain are solidly in place and reconnecting with Vaughn would destroy those walls and force him to confront the agony of not only losing his batchmates, but also having to deal with the trauma of surviving his own execution.
The Kaminoans decided to continue his training after he proved "resilient" in regards to the trauma they subjected him to. They gave him a new number and shuffled him around until he showed promise as a medic, and (not wanting to be decommissioned) Saga worked to become the best surgeon he could be. He closed himself of from everyone and just worked.
For an OC only mentioned in passing, whose face hasn't even been seen yet in the Invictus AU, I know an awful lot about him. (He will be in the next chapter of NAT.)

(I remembered to tag people this time!)
