Nam-gyu fake sleeps in the car when he’s regressed so Thanos can carry him into the house. Thanos always knows when Nam-gyu’s faking because he’ll start smiling and quietly giggling that his plan worked, he thinks he’s so sneaky. He’s also seen Nam-gyu open his eye a little to see if Thanos is coming to pick him up. He’ll occasionally ask Nam-gyu “Are you sleeping?” to which Nam-gyu will respond with a quiet “Yeah..” or he’ll nod. Thanos goes along with it, but he’s always holding back laughter because Nam-gyu is so bad at pretending to be asleep.

Regressor! Dae-ho w/ Caregiver! Gi-hun

Summary: Gi-hun finds Dae-ho hiding behind the door. His anger and resentment towards him slowly goes away when he realizes what kind of mental state Dae-ho’s in.

Contains: Age regression, baby talk, crying, mention of being stabbed, mention of knives.

Dae-ho tried to keep himself quiet, he tried not to make a sound. He was tucked into a corner, behind the door, hoping no one would find him. His hands covered his mouth, as tears fell down his cheeks. Dae-ho was terrified and hurt, due to being stabbed in his ankle. He couldn’t walk. Only limp around.

Dae-ho was impatiently waiting for the game to be over, needing it to be over. He needed to get out of this game, out of this place. Dae-ho knew this game had to be over soon, but he wasn’t sure when. The room he was in didn’t have a timer or anything.

Everything was fine, in the sense that no one had found him yet. But that was until the door opened and he heard footsteps. Dae-ho covered his mouth tighter, his body trembling as he sat there, hoping that the person would go away.

The footsteps were getting farther, until Dae-ho let out an involuntary whimper. His eyes widened, hearing the footsteps stop, before they began to get closer. Dae-ho couldn’t help but continue to whimper, trying to back himself further into the corner.

Dae-ho’s breathing got heavy as he watched a hand grab the door, slowly moving to reveal Gi-hun standing there with a knife. Dae-ho slowly stood up, his legs shaking harshly as he put his arms up.

“Please..” Dae-ho quietly started. “Gi-hun, please. I’m sorry..” A soft sob left Dae-ho. “I really..tried my best..I swear. I just got..so scared and I couldn’t..I couldn’t move!” Dae-ho harshly sobbed out.

Gi-hun stared at him with a cold, blank expression that only terrified Dae-ho more. Dae-ho kept sobbing, shaking so badly that he collapsed onto one of the steps. He sat there, staring up at Gi-hun with a horrified expression.

“Please don’t kill me!” He begged. “I tried! I really did! I couldn’t…I couldn’t do anything! I froze up and I just..I just couldn’t move!” Dae-ho loudly wailed, putting his head down in shame. Gi-hun watched, still silent, but his expression was slowly softening, beginning to feel sympathetic towards the man.

“I just…wanna go home..” Dae-ho wiped his tears with his trembling hands. “I just wanna see my sisters…n’ my..my mommy…” Dae-ho’s voice sounded a tad higher now and they way he spoke sounded more childish.

Gi-hun knew. He knew immediately after hearing him. Dae-ho was regressed, it was obvious. Gi-hun knew exactly what it was like too. He knew what it felt like, regressing while being in this awful place, just wanting his mom. Hearing Dae-ho pleaded and beg for his life and beg to go home snapped Gi-hun out of the state his mind was in.

Dae-ho kept crying, yelping out of fear when he heard the sound of the knife drop on the floor. He tried to back away, by was unable to, due to being on the steps. He slowly looked up at Gi-hun, his eyes widen with terror as he saw an empathetic expression on Gi-hun’s face.

“I’m sorry.” He suddenly spoke. “I’m sorry, Dae-ho. I’m not going to hurt you.” Dae-ho’s breathing was heavy as he watched Gi-hun kneel down to his level. “I don’t what came over me. I’m sorry I put you through this.” Gi-hun apologized. Dae-ho whimpered, fidgeting with his fingers.

“I’m scared…” He mumbled, a quiet sob leaving him right after. “I wanna…go home. Don’ wanna be here no more…” Gi-hun could tell Dae-ho was regressing younger quickly, by the way he was talking, his sentences becoming more and more childish.

“I know, Dae-ho. I’ll do everything I can to make sure you can get out here safely and back to your sisters and your mom.” Gi-hun spoke, slowly moving closer to Dae-ho and sitting beside him on the step. Dae-ho sniffled, wiping his eyes a little.

“Really?” He asked with a small, hopeful smile. “See my sis’ers n’ my mommy soon?” Gi-hun forced a smile, slowly nodding his head. He knew he couldn’t promise anything, but he wanted to get him out of there. Now seeing how Dae-ho truly acts when he’s scared, the fact that his mind reverts back to being just a little kid made Gi-hun have no grudge against him now. Only empathy.

Dae-ho moved closer to Gi-hun, gently wrapping his arms around his arm. It was surprising to Gi-hun, how trusting he was. Just a minute ago, Dae-ho was terrified of him, now he was clinging to him. He must’ve felt safe with him still, due to the fact that Gi-hun said he’d protect him and how they were already pretty close after meeting on the second day there.

“Wanna get out of dis game. ‘S scary, Gi-hun..” Dae-ho muttered to Gi-hun, his eyes tearing up again. Gi-hun moved his other arm, gently placing his hand on top of Dae-ho’s hand and rubbing it with his thumb.

“There’s not much longer left. It should be over soon.” Gi-hun spoke to Dae-ho softly. Dae-ho whimpered, nodding a little as he clung tightly to Gi-hun like his life depended on it, which it did, considering the state he was currently in.

It felt like forever, but it was about a minute, when the timer finally went off. Gi-hun sighed with relief, as Dae-ho perked up. “Over? ‘S it over?” Gi-hun nodded, making Dae-ho smile. “Come on, let’s go.” Gi-hun slowly stood up, Dae-ho quickly doing the same, but immediately yelping when he put pressure on his foot.

“I can’t walk…it hurts really bad..I can’t..” Dae-ho let out a cry, his body shaking a bit. While he cried, Gi-hun thought for a moment, before getting an idea. Dae-ho couldn’t walk, so he was going to have to carry him.

“I got you. It’s okay.” Gi-hun carefully picked Dae-ho up, Dae-ho slowly calming down as he was carried out of the room. “‘ank you..” Dae-ho murmured, sniffling as he wiped his tears. Gi-hun gave a nod. “It’s the least I can do. After the way I treated you.” He responded.

Despite it being tiring and kind of difficult, Gi-hun carried Dae-ho back to the dormitory and got him in his bed. Dae-ho immediately grabbed onto his blanket, his only item of comfort in that place, and hugged it tightly.

“Don’ wanna play no more games..” Dae-ho shook his head and hid his face into his blanket. “Please make ‘em stop…‘m hurt..n’ wanna go home..” Dae-ho hiccuped, small cries leaving them. Gi-hun nodded, his determination to make these games stop once and for all coming back.

“I’ll try.” He told Dae-ho. “I promise, I’ll try.”
