the thing is that if jonathan sims and sydney sargent met, i do not think they'd get along. it'd be like epic rap battles autism vs. adhd. sydney would take one good look at jon and go "this man has zero sense of whimsy and fun i want him dead" and jon would take one good look at sydney and go "this man is dead. who did this. is he an avatar. i am scared get me out of this fucked up summer camp"

and if jonah magnus and elijah volkov met, it'd be a whole different kind of disaster. it would turn psychosexual before you can say sigmund freud. and they would both be hypocrites about it too just thinking "damn this bitch is crazy. i'm so glad i picked the correct religion, unlike her" about each other the whole time.

but if gertrude robinson and lucille bertuccelli met, it would be the best thing to ever happen to both of them. they would be best friends without ever expressing a single emotion towards each other. if they met, the world might go up in flames, though.

Already Over Sessions: Episode 1 [Sydney]

Honestly I think a lot of us who became fans of Adrian in VA was due to the fact of what age we read VA. Me personally I was 17/18 when I read VA and was already so over the moody, never wants to open up emotionally distant Male leads in books by that point. That when Adrian came in, it was a breath of fresh air. He made jokes, never pretended to be something he wasn't, was honest about what Spirit was doing to him, and called out people when he had to. He was the most crystal clear character I had read to that point. And Richelle did a great job of transitioning him to the Bloodlines series, and even though Bloodlines is considered YA. It felt like the book was more college age than anything else. I really love VA, but Rose really had these rose color glasses on for Dimitri. She didn't want to see anything and held him up to such a high standard. That I truly preferred the moments in the series where her mind wasn't so Dimitri focused. Blood Promise is my Favorite book in VA and even though it was about Rose going to find Dimitri. It was such a nice break getting away from the constant Dimitri/Lissa cycle she was on.

Hello there!! I absolutely agree. I think the reason why so many people hate or dislike Adrian is because they all saw him from Rose's point of view and let's be honest, she never painted him in a good light nor ever truly gave him a chance. Not even as a friend. Even as a friend she treated him so poorly like he was just a nuisance and it annoyed me so much. Even after Tatiana was murdered and he fell into drinking to cope, she labeled him a coward and she was dating him, that was what made me dislike Rose so much. She saw him as lesser and weak when he was in a very vulnerable position and yet, he still helped her and no one ever gives him credit for helping her even when his heart was broken when he had every right to not help. She used him, plain and simple. There's no arguing with that.

Adrian is dare I say, the most in depth character Richelle created in that series. He is interesting and he is so much more than what we see and I'm so glad that Bloodlines gave him chapters from his own perspective. He got the redemption he deserved in those books. I can go on and on about how wonderful of a character he is. I love Adrian with all of my heart.

i have been thinking. scheming even. about a renegades (YA book series by marissa meyer) and chnt crossover au. i have talents and occupations planned out for at least 4 characters and how a side plot with them would fit into the canon of the original renegades universe.

CAMP HERE AND THERE SPOILERS(?)

RENEGADES SPOILERS

sydney is healer at renegades hq, his talent would be chlorokinesis (the ability to create, manipulate, and animate plant life). this talent is also known as botanokinesis.

jedidiah works in research and development, and he could be a technopath (the ability to control technology). ive also thought about him having a secret talent where he can give life to another being at the expense of his own life?? but i haven’t really thought that through yet

elijah is an anarchist, but he isn’t really around in the subway tunnels and isn’t even aware that the rest of the anarchists moved to nova’s house after the tunnels collapsed (explained more down below). he has the talent of Disabling Aura, people near him feel fatigue and are unable to use their own talent.

adam during the age of anarchy was apart of a villain gang (I haven’t decided which one yet) and had the title “Up and Adam” (as in chnt lmao). after the day of triumph, he now works as a counselor at renegades headquarters, though he uses this job for self gain a lot of the time. he has the ability of dreamwalking, which is exactly what the name states. he can walk into peoples dreams. this could set up an interesting dynamic as Nova never sleeps. (i actually plan on writing a fic where she takes up the counseling opportunity after killing Ingrid at the end of the first book)

heres where the side plot comes in. back in the age of anarchy elijah was put in charge of the hostages (I don’t rlly remember if the anarchists took hostages it’s been awhile since ive read the series all the way through) and sydney was one of the hostages. elijah became fixated with sydney, as his aura worked in a different way around him. when elijah was around sydney, it seemed like sydney’s senses were heightened instead of the opposite. he still couldn’t use his chlorokinesis, but this small defect was enough to send elijah spiraling into obsession. due to this, he spent most of his time tending to sydney, ignoring the other hostages despite what valuable information they may be able to give up.

even after the day of triumph, he was still fascinated with sydney. he was rarely in the subway tunnels where the other anarchists live because of this, and he really had no idea that the subway tunnels collapsed. he spent most of his days stalking sydney from afar, as he couldn’t get close to him considering the effect that he had on sydney.

there’s also like. a side side plot which ill explain.

the reason jedidiah is working in r&d is so he can try and find a way to help sydney survive longer (as he’s still chronically ill in this universe). sydney has been surviving by growing healing herbs and modern medicine, but jedidiah wants to find something more permanent.

ill update this more as i get more ideas, i just want to put this out into the world before I forget ^_^
