unfortunately i'm like 160 episodes into tma and still don't get the obsession with martin. like i don't hate him but also- literally every other character and relationship is more interesting. also fanon version of him sucks lol. canon version of him is actually appealing to me in some ways, but considering fanon martin makes 90% of tma fic unreadable, i'm not too stoked about even having him tagged half the time.

GUYSSS!!! I AM. SO TERRIFIED/EXCITED. SO.
One of the colleges that I applied to... apparently I can now view my Acceptance Decision in, like, the college portal! I told my mother that I would wait until she gets home, though, before I see what it is, but now I am in waiting mode!!! So severely!!!
It's to a school that is, like... technically it's a safety school, but it's kind of my second choice, but like... oh dear. Most likely I got accepted, but if I didn't get accepted, than I am a little fucked.
#it's weird cuz like. my sat/gpa/extracurriculars/etc are good enough that the vast majority of schools are safeties for me#and then a few (like the ivies) are reach schools#but i have like. 5 actual match schools. only one of which is in state and public (it's my first choice)#the others are out of state and private and not really good for the majors i want to go into#so basically i have one actual match school but like. EVERYONE at my high school applies there and they are still PRETTY selective#like i so desperately hope that i get accepted to that one but it feels slim. anyway. the school that is getting back to me...#it is like. most likely where i will choose to go if my first choice doesn't accept me. i like the campus a lot and it's a good school#but like OUGH if i have in fact been accepted to this school i would be sooo relieved bc it means i have a good fallback#(and also that i haven't overestimated how i will do at admissions)#dante dicit#college applications#college

idk how ppl can handle kids. i sit in the room with 2 of them for just a little while and i get overloaded with anxiety from too much sound and constant interruptions from whatever im trying to focus on
#was trying to finish up on sdv and anytime i got interrupted i had to spend a few minutes remembering what i was doing on my game#and by the time i regained my bearings im interrupted again#but aside from thta. theres so much noise in my house rn. from kids being loud to my mom and aunt n uncle talking loud#hoooooooooo buddy. hoo man.#overstimuulated out the wazoo#i would like to be the cool adult kids can look up to and have fun with but i can only handle being around kids in INCREDIBLY short bursts#otherwise i need to go in my room and sit in silence for a long long time every so often#anyways. noise is the worst i wish i could mute my ears#i wish i could not speak when overwhelmed like this bc i really just get the urge to go silent#but i havent done that previously and if i did it suddenly my mom would be very confused and id have to explain#which i very much wouldnt want to do bc. nonverbal#actually didnt i see being selectively nonverbal or something actually called something else. idk#too overwhelmed rn to bother seeing what the proper term might be rn i just dont want thoughts or words or noises or anything#i want to turn everything off

I’m never running this interstitial campaign for several reasons including “my friends will all look at me funny” and “the npcs exist so I can shove my fave ships together like Barbie dolls even if that’s not why I originally put some of those characters here” but I gave this character a specific codename because it was vaguely funny but I reworked his specific origins and now it’s OBSCENELY funny.

I was just trying to get bronze rank and then accidentally got a good run and now I’m at silver… How well I do in Salmon Run is truly random and depends heavily on what weapons and waves are available

good things from today:
saw an osprey!!! it was circling and occasionally splashed down in a pond to try to grab a fish. it did not succeed while i was watching but i’m rooting for it
it’s been a while but i can still turn a sock heel from memory, including on the bus
went to a restaurant w my parents that i’ve wanted to try but can’t go to with 🌸 bc no vegan options and had an extraordinarily nice piece of fish and quite a lot of moules frites
very bravely did not buy a very stupid clock from an art museum gift shop, because while it was hilarious i did not have a plan to put it anywhere and can get the same thing custom made by my labmate for less if i were for some reason really dedicated to the idea
#also i hate that giant Hokusai: Sponsored By Uniqlo®! exhibit less on a second runthru#now that i know that if you actually look at everything in the first few rooms then by the time you reach the ones with prints#that are actually in hokusai's style you will be wearied and enraged#and grow only more enraged as you observe the increasing tenuousness and vapidity with which the comparison works were selected#culminating in the incredible indignity of Lego Wave Off Kanagawa#so like move quickly through the first few rooms and the dumb shit will all be dumb but you won't be as mad about it#the Black Potters of Edgefield exhibit on the other hand is incredibly good. like an astonishingly effective educational and artistic experi#ence. concise. thoughtful. well-curated.#so you have to go to that *after* hokusai instead of *before*. to avoid comparison#box opener

it is so easy for me to get the urge to start learning a language jesus christ😭 i was just watching a twitch stream where chat started talking about german and now i really wanna learn german
#theoretically this is a good thing#but the issue is it never lasts#i just start learning a billion languages#learn how to get by in a select few#and then forget most of that when the hyperfixation passes#the only languages i can truly use are spanish and portuguese#the two that i’ve actual lessons in#i mean i did do french in school for like 6 years#but british primary school doesn’t tend to teach languages very well and secondary school doesn’t do much better#and i’ve forgotten most of it anyway#i’m not too bad at understanding written french but that’s largely thanks to english spanish and portuguese#anyway language learning is most certainly my strongest special interest#langblr#language learning#actually autistic
