I had another thought today
I wonder what would happen if Billy Batson went on a field trip to Wayne Industries and out of habit pick pocketed Damian Wayne, who doesn't notice until later in the day that something is missing from his person (which immediately sets off red flags, bc, it him??? How tf does the heir to the demon and son of the bat get pick pocketed???!?!)
Answer: one billy batson
#Watch it be something that is actually extremely important#And Billy is just wondering what it is and how he can sell it#billy batson#dc captain marvel#dc comics#damian wayne#i don't know what im doing#This just seemed fun#Maybe I'll write this as a silly little one shot#Maybe it happens before Billy becomes Captain Marvel#shazam

Marilyn Gets Revived
In this AU, the time bubble was formed in 62, Billy got his powers in 59, and the twin’s parents died in 58. There was also the fact that her body was found, but C.C.’s never was. So, as for how this works, I don’t particularly know. Maybe, since Fawcett is weird, the magic of the city revived her? You decide.
The point is, Marilyn Batson crawls out of her grave, Jason Todd style, and wanders the streets in the funeral dress she was buried in.
Marvel: *patrolling when he sees a woman, dirtied with bloodied hands* (from both crawling out of the grave and breaking the coffin)
Marilyn: *walking down the street, trying to get to get to Ebenezer’s house to ask what the hell is going on*
Marvel: *flies down* “Miss? Are you alright?”
Marilyn: “Oh uhm… Yes, I’m fine.” *looks up to Marvel and literally freezes when she sees her husband*
Marvel: “Are you sure? I can take you to the hospital. Your hands are bleeding heavily.” *doesn’t recognize her*
Marilyn: “C.C.?”
Marvel: “Huh?” *confused as to if she either said his dad’s name, or if she said ‘see see’*
Marilyn: “C.C. it’s me. What’s going on? Why’re you dressed like that?” *happy to see her husband even though she doesn’t know he’s not her husband*
Marvel: *computing* “Mo-” *looks around before leaning in to whisper* “You’re Marilyn Batson??” *sounds completely baffled* “Are you real?”
Marilyn: “Wha- Clarence Charles Batson, of course I’m real!”
Being called by his dad’s name made Billy’s mind blank. He didn’t really know what to do except take her to the Watchtower’s medbay because he isn’t going to take his mom to just any hospital. His mom deserves the best. And so, the JL were graced with the image of the eight foot five Cap, with a seven foot ten woman who looks like she’s been through hell and back. And yes, Marilyn is 7’10 because if Captain Marvel is a copy of C.C. Batson, he would’ve been 8’5 so he needs an almost equally as tall wife.
Marilyn: *hands bandaged* “So… What happened to archeology?”
Marvel: *awkward* “Oh right, uh… I’m not da-” *slowly looks over to see Flash and GL spying from the doorway*
Marilyn: *also looks over to them*
GL: *clears throat and walks over* “Who’s this lovely lady, hmm?”
Marvel: “This is Marilyn. Marilyn, that’s Green Lantern. The guy over there still lurking and stalking is Flash.”
Marilyn: *bright ahh smile* “It’s lovely to meet you. When did you become friends with my husband?”
Flash: *zooms over* “Husband?” *jaw is on the floor*
Marvel: “Mari-”
GL: *summons a metal clamp to shut Billy’s mouth* “Sooooo how long have you two been married?”
Marilyn: “Since we were nineteen. So twenty years!”
Flash: “Twenty years…?” *looks between Marilyn and Marvel* “Dude. How do you just forget to tell us that?!”
Marvel: “Uh…” *just grabs Marilyn, and dips out, dragging her to the zeta tubes*
Marilyn: “C.C. what’s wrong?”
Marvel: “Nothing at all. We just need to talk. Not here.”
Marilyn: “Okay…?”
So, Billy drags them to one of the buildings Billy and Mary live in. When Marilyn saw Mary she immediately hugged her baby.
Marilyn: “You’re so big, yet so tiny! You haven’t been eating enough have you?!” *hugging the life out of Mary*
Mary: *getting suffocated while crying*
Marilyn: “Has your father not been feeding you enough?” *glares over at Marvel*
Mary: “What? No, dad’s… dead.”
Marilyn: *slowly looks confused* “Then who…?”
Marvel: “Shazam.”
Billy: “Surprise…?”
Yeah, Marilyn spoiled your two with lots and lots and lots of motherly affection after this. The twins were just happy to have their mommy back.
Bonus:
Billy: “Shazam!”
Marilyn: *standing nearby, gets hit by stray lightning* “Huh…?”
Marilyn Batson now has a Marvel form and she gets to fight with her babies.

I recently had a dream that wouldn't leave me alone so I feel the need to share it with someone else.
I can't remember the name of the fic that had been rereading at the moment but it's a crossover DC/DP/MLB. In the fic Danny, Damien and Marinette are called the three headed beast. At the time I was also reading a fic with Captain Marvel and I got it stuck in my head that what if Danny, Marinette and Billy were the three headed beast and Damien was their baby sibling.
Like hear me out they were made by Ra's without even Talia knowing. He wanted to raise his potential heir without even his daughter interfering. When the three are about 7 some magic bs with a Lazarus portal happened resulting in them living in a separate dimension for decades away from Ra's before being de-aged and sent bad under their grandfather's thumb (honestly I don't really remember what happened, my dream confused me). Once back they quickly jump ship and fake their deaths making sure nobody's are left to try and revive.
Roughly 2-3 years later Talia had Damien. I don't remember why but he knew about the triplets and had been on multiple family bonding trips with them without Ra's or Talia knowing so when Tim said Bruce was alive he just said ok, called his older siblings sounding sad and said find him. And then I woke up (and thought about it a lot).
Sorry for the rant this idea just wouldn't leave me alone.
I can just imagine Phantom and Marvel being entirely different people. Like Captain Marvel doesn't happen until after leaving the league neither does the portal incident so both Phantom and Marvel are completely different heros. The three went their separate ways once out of the league, yes they love each other (and the baby sibling they occasionally pop in on and kidnap for a few weeks to month to for adventures in dimensions that have different time flows) but they are grown adults they have their own lives they want to lead and they definitely haven't needed a parent in decades.
Anyways I'll stop now I just need to share this.
That's honestly such a cool dream. I don't read a lot of Miraculous Ladybug crossovers with DC but I do know the show.
It's interesting how all of them would be extremely powerful for their respective hero personas, but no one would link them as the Three Head Beast.
Also since Danny and Billy would be different heroes, I like to think that maybe Danny would have become more like a meta-human instead of a halfa. Maybe it was due to all his dimension-hopping as I can see him being the triplet that would enjoy exploring the Infinite Realms.
Danny has wanders lust- he hates lingering in one place too long so he is always on the move, always wanting to see new worlds and new timelines.
Maybe he would become Clockwork's human lesion as he can't be King. He happily goes to the living realms of the timelines Clockwork needs him to observe for the stars.
Danny believes the stars are a reminder of his freedom because it's one of the first things he saw the day they faked their deaths. He loves seeing new constellations and can't wait to jump lines again to discover new ones.
Billy meanwhile would fall into Magic again but this time it would be his own magic. He has the highest potential in magic to make him a candidate for the Wizard, but his past of being in Ra's thumb mucked up his purity soul bit.
Still, he finds out that "You're a Wizard, Billy" while traveling dimensions and unlike Danny chooses to stay in a lot of them for long periods just learning all he can of magic.
Marinette, unlike her brothers, is much more willing to stay in one place. Yes, she'll sometimes join them on trips or go looking for an adventure but she wanted to build a home. Danny and Billy see it as a cage, far too used to Ra's locking them up to not get itchy to move about, but she saw it as having control.
She picks her house. She picks the dimensions. Marinette is the one that decides when and where she wants to go. Nothing is bigger "I made it out. I survived you" then staying in their native dimension with Ra's on the other side of the world. If he finds her and tries to bring her back, welp she escaped before she can do it again.
But she didn't want big adventures or conflicts with Ra's, she was comforted. So Marinette opens a bakery in France, living as mundanely as possible but with years of deadly training under her skin and a strong link to Spirits.
Marinette didn't get her Kawami when the Guardian needed to pass them on, because she wasn't there, but years of Lazarus Water, Ectoplasim of the Infinite Realms, and just her aura she can see them.
Alongside thousands and thousands of Spirits that are everywhere. Some get attacked by her and her little bakery. Marinette allows them to live with her and respects them and their domain, so it's not really a surprise when they start bestowing small Blessings on her. She may not possess a miraculous that powers her up but she has a bag of tricks that are close and her own training that practically makes her a miraculous holder anyway.
And that's them the three heads of the Ra's Three-Headed Beasts- monsters, killers, weapons from birth- who lived on as what they wanted.
An explorer with a love of stars.
A mage with a love of study.
A Baker with a love of everyday life.
One day, when a little ninja wanders into Marinette's bakery on a break from his first real mission, the three gain a new love for their little brother.
Damian may not understand his older siblings desire to not be a cape but he respects them all the same. He still trains every day in the hopes of one day besting them but not to prove his worth.
Only to make Danny, Marinette, and Billy proud.

All of them sound so interesting! I wanna know about “The Worst He Could Say is No”
"The Worst He Could Say is No" is actually a BillyJon fic! With unrequited feelings.
It's based on the premise that Damian, Billy, and Jon are going to the same high school in Fawcett City (and the same age).
Damian and Jon are new to the school and Billy was their assigned tour guide. Billy is nice, respectful, and adorable. That is where Jon's crush develops and Billy's problem starts. He, Damian, and Jon are on friendly terms and even share a one or two classes together.
Fast forward, Jon and Damain are visiting the watchtower with their fathers one day when they are left alone in a common room. Eventually, their conversation leads them to talk about school and Jon lets it slip that he has a crush on one of his classmates and Damian can immediately guess who.
Billy almost has a heart attack when he hears his own name mentioned in the watchtower. Not his hero name, but his name, his full name. He was only walking by the common room but immediately zooms back in to get full context as to why Superboy and Robin know that name when he puts the pieces together on their identities.
Billy is freaking out but trying not to show it at the moment. What makes it even worse is that the common room is filled with other heroes who are somewhat listening in on their conversation. And Superman might even be listening also. Superman might already know who Billy Batson is if his son ever talked to him about school and friends, which he most likely did.
Even worse, Jon's best friend is Damian, Batman's son, who could probably find everything there is on Billy in less than five minutes. What happens if they find out he's Captain Marvel? He wasn't entirely ready to reveal his identity. He didn't even know Jon liked him that way! What was he going to say?
Billy has never really thought about dating anyone. Would he accept Jon's feeling just because he's his friend? He really doesn't want to hurt Jon's feelings with rejection.
Fortunately, one thing he did find out was that Jon wasn't going to confess any time soon. Maybe he'll slowly slip out of his life before he gets the chance to.
Anyways, after that Billy sort of goes to great lengths to avoid him and tries to make Jon forget about him. He uses magic to disguise himself, tries to change his class schedule for any class they share and fails because it's the middle of the school year. He limits the number of times they interact, making excuses like he's too busy to hang out, and he almost threw himself out a window to avoid Jon when walking down the same hallway.
Jon notices Billy's avoidance towards him and he's heartbroken. He doesn't know what he did wrong to make his friend start avoiding him. Did he find out he liked him and got weirded out?
Jon confronts Billy one day and Billy doesn't run away. He apologizes to Jon and tells him he can't return his feelings towards him. When Jon asks how Billy found out, Billy decides to be honest with him and reveals his identity. After a long talk they become friends again. In the next school year, Jon meets Jay.
Yes, I made Billy aroace in this.

Thad, Billy, and Doing it by Yourself
Concept: Post-Mercury Falling Thad strikes out to become a solo hero. If he can become a better hero than Impulse, without Impulse's help, that's still replacing Impulse like he planned. Fawcett City has spotty outside reporting and no Flash presence. So no one will even be able to see him. It's perfect. Or, it would be if 30th century records were reliable. Captain Marvel has this Speed of Mercury thing. Billy just wants to make friends with a rare visiting hero.
The first clue should probably be the convenience store robbers that keep having their guns disappear out of their hands. It’s kinda funny? Billy doesn’t know if it’s supposed to be a joke so he tries to keep Captain Marvel professional while the current robber rants about how she was holding it and it was just gone. He says something about necessity and hurting other people and asks her to look at the teenager who’d been manning the register and ask if she really thinks that two hundred eighty bucks is really worth pointing a gun at him. Guns can kill people. The kid grimaces at them, but the robber looks guilty, so he’s going to call it a win. He doesn’t think about it much until later.
Billy is surveying the city when he notices. He doesn’t technically need to, Speed of Mercury and all, but it’s the afternoon and he’s settled into summer routine enough to know he doesn’t have anywhere to be until the evening. It’s not enough time for him to leave to do anything interesting, not if he wants to get back to Fawcett in time. And he needs to be back in Fawcett in time. Homelessness is like that, a lot of hurry up and wait on very rigid schedules. Besides, Captain Marvel doesn’t really get hungry, so he’s patrolling. It keeps him busy.
The point is that he sees the green and black blur enter the bank in main almost the instant after the alarm goes off. The wisdom of Solomon tells him to wait and see what’s happening before going in like he’d planned. Ten seconds pass, moving slower than usual with Billy’s focus on the bank. The alarm turns off, which, it shouldn’t. Billy’s stopped a robbery in that bank before and it takes ages to shut off the alarm, because they need a couple of managers with keys and codes and to make a call to the police station. Billy’s actually apologized and left early once the robbers were dealt with before, because the noise was getting to his enhanced senses. He tilts his head and squints at the shadow moving behind the door. Another five seconds pass.
The black and green blur reappears, more clearly now that Billy’s paying attention. It’s a teen, hero? He’s not carrying anything with him, but he’s also not anyone Billy’s ever heard of. He looks like a Flash, maybe. With the speed and the thingies on the mask. His hair’s short and a reddish brown, but it’s growing back in blonde at the roots. Billy’s kind of excited. There aren’t a lot of outside teen heroes that pass through Fawcett. Well, even if he is a villain, it’s probably for the best for Billy to introduce himself. Well, not himself. Captain Marvel.
“Hey!” He calls, loud enough to be heard, and also probably fast enough for the fast kid to notice him. His voice sounds strange to his own ears. He’s not used to using speed like this. He smiles and waves his arms a little wildly, in case he was incomprehensible. The teen’s head snaps towards the roof Billy’s sitting on and his eyes catch on him immediately. It wasn’t like he was hiding after all, with the crimson suit and the white cape, and the lightning bolt. Oh, and the waving. Billy remembers to stop waving. What little Billy can see of his expression goes all scrunched up. As they stare at each other for another second that’s probably subjectively longer. Then the teen bolts. Billy wastes just enough time being surprised to lose him entirely when he runs through a wall. Cool.
Billy manages to stop in time to not break the wall the green and black speedster went through and pokes it a little to make sure it’s real. He means, it was last week, but weirder things have happened in Fawcett. Once he’s sure the bricks are all still bricks, he backtracks a couple blocks to try and check out what happened at the bank. Investigate, maybe? Billy’s not Batman. He’s not going to find scuff marks and psychically intuit the whole situation, or whatever Batman does at crime scenes. But he can talk to people, at least. Try and find out if anyone knows what happened with the alarm. Billy puts his hands on his hips. Well, turns out the alarm went off because someone was trying to rob the bank. Probably the guys tied up in the corner. Also, nobody knows more than that, because teller Missy thanked him for stopping the robbery when he showed up and Billy definitely did not do that.
It’s kind of fun to be in a bank that’s not being robbed. Well, Billy’s eyes slant over to the pile of robbers in the corner. Not actively being robbed. The alarm isn't going off and nobody is upset, he’ll count it. It’s a novelty. Captain Marvel doesn’t have much reason to be at a bank, and Billy Batson has even less. He smiles at Missy and asks her to tell him what happened before he showed up, and she launches into the story, how they showed up, waited in line, and then they all pulled out guns and started yelling. Normal bank robbery stuff, she says, and Billy has to stifle the urge to giggle. When Missy starts talking about how the robbers just disappeared for a second before they noticed that they were all on the floor, Billy wonders if he should tell her about the kid- no not kid, Billy hates being called a kid, because he’s a Superhero, and he was older than him anyway. The mean green teen machine. Missy says that her manager thinks the robbers sabotaged the alarm. Billy, does not think that, but it’s been almost an hour, and he has places to be. So he smiles and tells her good luck and makes his way toward the soup kitchen.
He doesn’t see the green speedster for a while, but then again, he’s mostly been hanging around the bank until they fix the alarm. It was actually pretty easy, just a few disconnected wires, but they had to wait for someone to come open up all the panels to actually get to them. He’d think that the guy had left the city if it wasn’t for the fact the disappearing gun thing is still happening.
Almost a week later, Billy’s patrolling again when he catches a glimpse of green out of the corner of his eye. He floats over, and pops up above the lip of the roof the speedster is sitting on. “You cut your hair!” Billy says, barely keeping himself from pointing at the blond buzzcut. He smiles even as the teen startles and throws something at him with a yelp. He decides to let it hit him instead of dodging. Anything going that fast can do a lot of damage, and Billy, at least, is invulnerable. He moves with the impact as a cellophane wrapped turkey club splatters against his chest before he can register what it is and try to catch it instead. He frowns at the mayonnaise and tomato oozing down his suit. He hates wasting food, and this was probably the guy’s lunch. He turns back toward him with an apologetic smile only to see an empty rooftop.
He sees the speedster again that afternoon, while trying to beat the heat by flying in slow circles over the city. “Third time’s the charm.” He says to himself, before dropping a couple stories to hover above the pavement and keep pace with what, based on the effort he seems to be putting in, is to him, a light jog.
“Hey, sorry for startling you, and about your sandwich. Good work with that bank robbery. It was really cool. Are you new? What’s your name?” He gets out all in one breath, before the guy can run away again. The speedster stops on a dime to stare at him with his hands raised for a punch and Billy overshoots for a moment before he can get back in the hero’s orbit. There’s a pause, not really a long one, objectively. But enough for Billy to remember that this guy is fast too. Faster than him. “You don’t have to tell me, I just wanted to say thanks.” He adds with a Captain Marvel smile.
This jerks the teen out of his frozen state and his hands snap down to fist in his lap. His head turns away even though Billy can tell he’s still being watched out of the corner of his eye. Billy gets it, he’s done that before with strange adults too. He dims his smile to a more casual level.
~
Thad knows that leaving the lab was a bad idea. This whole thing is a bad idea. He once again curses the 30th century’s information uploads and looks up at Captain Marvel. He hadn’t known that Fawcett’s superhero had superspeed when he picked the city. He’d had to go back to the lab and research everything after he’d been seen. He’s not fast enough to actually catch Thad, but he keeps showing up and being friendly. It reminds him of– Thad cuts the thought off with practiced ruthlessness. Marvel is only a minor ripple in his plan. He sneers at the man, and he deflates like a balloon, even losing control of his powers enough to sink a few centimeters in the air. Thad would never show that kind of weakness. He stops and lets his hands drop to his sides, flexing and releasing in rhythm as he tries not to attack the hero ruining his scheme. Captain Marvel stops with him and resettles himself to hover cross legged above the pavement in front of him. The anger builds the more that Captain Marvel smiles at him and he crushes it back down.
“Inertia.” He rasps, without really knowing why he’s bothering to answer.
“Oh,” Captain Marvel snaps his fingers and points at nothing in particular. Thad doesn’t turn his back on Captain Marvel to look. “Like the law of motion? Cuz’ you’re fast? That’s such a cool name. Did you pick it yourself?”
“No.” He says, flat and final.
“I like it.” He says, like that matters at all, and holds out his hand for a shake even though they’re too far apart to actually touch each other. “I’m Captain Marvel.”
“I know.” Thad says, and doesn’t acknowledge the outstretched hand past evaluating its potential as a threat: Low. After a second Captain Marvel lets it drop into his lap, looking almost dejected. Thad finds himself briefly missing Ivan when the man pouts. He ignores the thought.
~
“I don’t need your help.” He snarls, and for a moment he’s not talking to Captain Marvel in the stagnant heat of Fawcett City’s streets. He’s looking at the emaciated figure of Max Mercury and being buffeted by the speedstorm.
“I just thought,” Captain Marvel starts and drops his head a little while he fidgets with his hands. It’s a tactical disadvantage for him to take eyes off a target like that. “Fawcett doesn’t get a lot of outside heroes.”

The Brief Reign of Monarch
Hey there, furnace giants. Let's just get into Countdown for today, and then I'll give you something nice afterward. Maybe today, maybe tomorrow, but look forward to something~
Anyways, here's the cover:
Ah yes, Monarch. That's Monarch! He sure is on the cover! Since there's not much to this cover (cool lighting, though), let's do a backstory rundown for this guy instead. So, back in the day, there was a minor event story called Armageddon 2001, which was about a tyrant named Monarch who took over the world and killed all the superheroes. Another guy, Matthew Ryder AKA Waverider, went back in time to figure out which hero was destined to become Monarch. Kind of a cool story premise, but here's where the interesting part happens: the story leaked. In 1991, before the modern form of the internet and content leaks were common, the planned ending became widely known.
And DC did the dumb thing you should never do when your twist gets out: they decided the twist was more important than the story leading up to the twist. Originally, the evidence was supposed to point to a reveal that Captain Atom was Monarch. So DC decided to make another guy Monarch to preserve the twist, even though the story didn't line up that way. (It was Hawk of Hawk & Dove, but that's not important to today's story. He later becomes Extant, to free up the identity.) And the worst part about that? They've been trying to course-correct and still make Captain Atom into Monarch ever since.
This is a follow-up to one such time. Yeah, this isn't even the first time they've tried this particular course-correction. This one, though, comes from the monumentally bad Battle for Bludhaven miniseries that spun out of Infinite Crisis' aftermath. The long and short of it is, Captain Atom once again had a leak in his containment suit. And they chose to solve this problem by putting him in the Monarch armour. That's where we are today! I hope all that has prepared you for today's review, which we should really get into about now~
Before that, another recap: Duela Dent got killed by a Monitor, so another Monitor is teaming up with Jason Todd and Donna Troy. Jimmy Olsen almost got killed by Killer Croc, so now he has superpowers. Holly Robinson got framed for killing a cop, so now she's in Metropolis. Pied Piper and Trickster got bored with not-killing, so they're joining the Rogues for a heist. Mary Marvel got bored with no powers, so she got some from Black Adam instead of being killed. And Karate Kid got into the future, so the JLA is holding him to make sure there's no killing.
So we open with Mary Marvel getting teleported to …I'm not sure if it's the Rock of Eternity. I know that got destroyed, but I didn't follow any Captain Marvel stories after that, so I don't know if it was put back together. It's the new base, though, the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man are here. Basic Captain Marvel stuff. Anyways, speaking of the good captain, he's here in his new role as the new Wizard. As opposed to Mary's black latex outfit, Billy's glow-up has him in pure white with long hair. He's magic Jesus! If you ignore that regular Jesus was also magic.
A mild bit of praise (don't expect that often), the comic does answer my question. This is the Rock of Eternity, and it's an extension of Billy's power as the wizard. This is also about the point where they stopped calling anybody "Captain Marvel" and started using "Shazam" as the character's name, since they had just killed off the wizard Shazam. I'm just gonna call Billy Batson "Billy" and Freddy Freeman "Freddy", just to keep it simple. Anyway, Billy the Wizard tells Mary that while he's the new wizard and Freddy is training to be the new Captain Marvel, there's a problem with her.
We cut over to Washington DC, where Forerunner is wandering the back alleys after the Monitors abandoned her. She's approached by a silhouette who reminds her of this very abandonment and she immediately attacks. And this silhouette? It's our cover boy, Monarch. The two have a fight, while Monarch exposits his offer to her. Like I said, this is leading into Countdown: Arena, an unimportant tie-in. The short version is, he thinks she's cool, and he can help show her how cool she is if she comes and joins him in his fight pit. She agrees, and the two walk out of the story.
Okay, now we go over to Jimmy Olsen. Last time, he had the brilliant breakthrough that his powers only activate when he's actually in peril. They're literally reactive. He'll never get on one of those stupid proactive teams at this rate. So what's his plan to test this? Hang out in Metropolis' roughest neighbourhood and deliberately pick fights. Fortunately, the gangs in Metropolis are terrible enough that they will pick a fight over just sports teams. And he's found the only ones that prefer the Yankees over the local Metropolis team. What do the sports leagues look like in DC, where they have a good 30 major cities that we don't?
Anyways, a fight breaks out, and Jimmy gets punched pretty hard without his powers activating. Shocked by this and rather brutally injured, he shakily tries to apologise and offer the thugs money for popcorn at the game later. They're not interested, and one of them reaches out to grab Jimmy. And that's when his powers activate, with quills sprouting from his body and spraying the thugs painfully. They run off, terrified that Jimmy is a "freak". Wow, no wonder they preferred the Yankees, I think they came from Marvel Comics instead. Jimmy's just confused why his powers worked when he got grabbed but not punched.
We get a brief two pages (well, one page and a splash) for Holly Robinson, who is recruited to a women's shelter by a suspicious woman in Greek robes with an owl on her shoulder. Gee, I wonder who this could be. Holly decides to stop by, figuring it couldn't hurt to at least case the joint, not registering it as suspicious when the woman says "Welcome home, Holly" and Holly has not introduced herself by name. And that splash page? Despite being a Metropolis high-rise, the interior is all polished white marble, Greek statues, and more women in gold-white chitons.
We also get a two-page appearance by Trickster and Pied Piper, and it's an actual two pages this time. They've ducked into an alley, panicking because they killed the Flash. Oh yeah. If you weren't following the Flash series at the time, you have no idea this happens! So, first of all, the Flash in question is Bart Allen (PKA Kid Flash and Impulse), who got aged up after Infinite Crisis and had his own 13-issue series, which ended with him being murdered by the Rogues. Real nice. Trickster and Piper didn't actually participate in his death, but they were there and didn't stop it, and now they're wanted by the police. That's the basic gist of their scene.
Back over to Mary and Billy, she asks what he means by "problem". He was using magic to watch her fight with The Worst Demon Of All Time, and he was concerned. Sadly, not with how gross the demon was, but how brutally Mary dispatched him. Dude, A) it was a demon, and 2) it was a sick-nasty gross-ass demon who ate dead babies and was what he ate. But it's concerning to him, because Mary would normally never do that. "Even your costume has changed," he says, while wearing a new all-white costume that he didn't wear when he was Captain Marvel.
She explains that her new powers came from Black Adam, and he's shocked and horrified. He's like, "You have no idea what that'd do to you!" Um, give her powers? Kind of like it did for Teth-Adam? These aren't drug supplements or anything, Billy, they're literal magic powers. She's like, "What was I supposed to do? I woke up from a coma and couldn't find you guys." And his response is that maybe she was supposed to lose her powers and get a fresh start. She retorts that maybe she was "supposed" to get new powers from Black Adam, then, and if he can't support her in that, she'll keep doing things by herself. The comic ends with her punching her way out of the Rock of Eternity and flying off. Girl, we just repaired that thing, what the hell.
Well, this was a dumb issue. Like, my explanation of Monarch's backstory was longer than his appearance in this comic. Everyone else is also taking stupid pills today: picking fights with street thugs, arguing with their siblings, taking shelter from suspicious Greek women... But I think the worst part of this book is the Trickster/Piper stuff. Not killing Bart Allen--that's stupid in its own way, but it didn't happen in this book. Which is the problem. We suddenly dump this on you, in media res, expecting you to have followed Bart's Flash series. Last, what, eight issues we've had the Rogues going "we're cooking something big", and then they don't even pull off said scheme in this story.
Like, this is this issue's whole problem. Think about how many stories you're expected to have read to understand this issue. Like, in addition to just the previous issues of this series itself, you also need to have read Infinite Crisis and 52 just for the state of the multiverse. You need to have read Battle for Bludhaven to know why Monarch is walking around, which leads into his own miniseries, Countdown: Arena. Holly's story comes off of Batman: Officer Down, and ties into Amazons Attack!. Billy's stuff is all in Trials of Shazam, which is itself spun out of Day of Vengeance so you know how Mary lost her powers and the Rock of Eternity was destroyed. And Bart's death happened in The Flash: Full Throttle. It's exhausting. No wonder the average person can't get into comics~

I want to start this by saying that I am so happy I’m not the only one who thinks about a possessive JL 👀
Okay, so onto what is actually focused on the posts😅.
Ive been thinking about this for an hour now, and just the sheer betrayal Billy would feel is unexplainable.
I know I talked about Cap not feeling empathy if Billy isn’t there, piloting, being the voice in his head telling him to be good always. And I also talked about Billy essentially being dead without magic. Without his champion title. But I do wholeheartedly believe that the next best(worst) thing is him feeling like he wants to die.
Because at least in the continuity where he’s going to be 20 soon, he would only remember a small portion of his life when he wasn’t the Champion. Being the Champion gave him meaning. It gave him a purpose. He feels happy now because he got all of his relationships from being the Champion. He never would’ve met the JL, magic users, MARY.
And all that happen at the end is he dies? Who cares?
Other Billys have died. They’ve died and magic has prospered, become even more powerful. While there is a power vacuum, all of them leave people in charge. Fates, Marys, Freddys, Zatannas. Those worlds live on, and Billy will too. When he dies and Magic either chooses another, or just allows him to pick a successor, he will live on. As part of them, or as Magic.
He will watch his trusted friends fight, and he will still be with them. Not as something tangible, but still. He will be there.
And he tries to explain this to the League. He knows he sounds apathetic. He sees it in the way slow horror creeps onto the faces of his friends. But he can’t help it. He’s always known. He’s always seen other versions of himself trudge into the Rock, blood covering their bodies. Heard and felt their last breaths. It’s normal to him, and he’s sorry he can’t shake it. He just hopes they understand that whatever happens will happen.
He’s glad he’s made his mark. He’s glad he’s helped so many heroes. He’s glad he gets to call them his friends before he makes the one sacrifice every Billy has to make. He’s ready
He just doesn’t account for what the Justice League thinks.
Sure, they all know that death comes with the territory of being a hero. But to know about it and press on so nonchalantly? To expect it? To welcome death like an old friend?
To LEAVE THEM——
And what’s even worse is that he tells them to welcome his replacement with open arms. He tells them that somehow, someone new will be given the duties and responsibilities he once had. Maybe not the title, but they will be the closest the universe has to a new champion. And Billy wants them to welcome them.
Like hell.
Captain Marvel may be their teammate, but Billy Batson is their friend. They’ve watched him grow up from the ashes of his childhood. They’ve cheered him on through so many battles. He is a staple of the hero community, a beacon of hope. What every hero strives to be. In and out of costume, he is a hero.
So they have no qualms in what they choose to do. Not if it leaves them with their friend alive.
And through some insane way, a way that I honestly do not have a grasp on because I never care about the important stuff, just the angst, they do it. The Champion is gone. It is just the boy now. Just Billy.
And Billy feels like a shell of himself.
He is so used to magic humming within his body. He so used to it finding a home in him. Hearing the whispers from the gods. Feeling it like it’s his blood. He has never truly known his life without it.
And now he does. And it feels awful.
He based so much of himself around being the Champion. At one point, he stopped thinking of Cap and Billy as two separate people. Because he never stopped being the Champion once he detransformed.
An entire piece of him is gone and the JL are right there. Right outside of his “new home”, smiling with tears in their eyes. He’s freaking out, he feels so empty, and they have the nerve to smile!
They tell him that he’s safe now. They tell him he never has to worry about dying for Magic. They tell him that he doesn’t have to shoulder so much anymore. He tells them to get out of his sight. Surprise. They don’t.
It’s like he’s a zoo animal now. Heroes drop by. They talk. He doesn’t. He’s just so angry and he wants to punch one of them—But he doesn’t. He just lets them talk. Stares at the walls and the ceiling and his food and his bed and then his new apartment that he didn’t ask for.
He tells them he was promised something. Promised fields of gold wheat and a circle of champions to exchange stories with. He would’ve spent eternity in Elysium, for Gods sake. ELYSIUM! He would’ve traded stories. Jousted. Feasted forever. Joined them as someone was chosen. Watched. Battled. Lived on as Magic itself. He would’ve had a purpose and he would’ve had it forever. Dad would’ve been so proud.
They tell him it’s for the best. That he can live for himself now. That they will take care of him. He’s still their friend, their brother-in-arms.
Diana says that she will protect him from any god that tries to speak to him.
Barry says that they can go back to pranking Hal without him worrying about him dying.
Clark says that the titans and yj are so excited to see him again.
They all expect him to be happy again. After everything.
It all feels meaningless now. Without what made him whole.
*drops mic*
Okay my “Billy gets infected with magical stuff” posts got to me and now I’m thinking of that The Last Unicorn couple of lines when she’s stuck in a human body
“You are an idiot! You hear me? You’ve lost her! You’ve trapped her in a human body, she’ll go mad!”
“What have you done to me? I’m a unicorn. I’m a unicorn! I wish you let the Red Bull take me. I wish you left me to the harpy. I can feel this body dying all around me!
Idk man, just a creature of magic like Captain Marvel suddenly completely reduced to humanity and actually feeling age, his body degrading and dying with him alive inside it until one day he isn’t and there’s no magic or blessings to keep him alive and going.
Maybe a Split au in which, by severing the magic that keeps them as one entity, you sever the connection to the magic and leave the separate consciousness as humans. Idk man, I just think the vibes of some edits I’ve seen would fit these guys for some angst bc my mind just loves misery

***FURTHER UPDATES AND EASTER EGGS***
Auntie Agnes and Agnes saying she has a few tricks up her sleeve - we should definitely take note of that seeing as Agnes definitely has something to do with the whole situation
Wanda and Vision’s house changed again, being inspired by Family Ties, possibly Full House and Growing Pains
“Do you want me to take it from the top?” It seems as though when someone, this time Vision, steers away from the script, things either reset themselves or people become aware to some capacity, although Agnes probably already knows
Speaking of Growing Pains - It had a spin off called “Just the 10 of Us” in which the director for Wandavision, Matt Shakman, was apart of the cast - and seemingly also inspired the theme song for this week
We should definitely keep an eye on Monica and her potential for powers. With Maria last episode revealed to have gone by the name ‘Photon’ (which is a name that Monica uses as one of her aliases in the comics) and could inspire Monica’s name as she develops her powers - those scans didn’t look 100% normal. Monica has also used the Captain Marvel monicker in the comics
Wanda’s energy field and such being referred to as “Hex” short for Hexagon, could be a little nod to the comics where Wanda’s powers are sometimes called Hex powers
She’s never been referred to as the Scarlet Witch on the big screen - and it seems as though she soon may earn that code name
So we now know that Wanda stole Vision’s corpse from S.W.O.R.D, but did she actually re animate him fully? He’s still got the gem in the centre of his forehead, but the last time he had it was in Infinity War where it promptly got ripped out by Thanos - so has Wanda found her own way of reanimating him and he’s alive or is he dead and just a trick of the mind - though from other trailers/previews, Vis is seen trying to and looks successful at leaving Wanda’s barrier
They had a little call back to Captain America: Civil War with the Sokovia Accords, which were targeting the Avengers in general but were created when Wanda lost control of her powers and killed civilians
A little joke towards Vis as playing “Father Knows Best” in their little suburbia - Which was a sitcom that ran for 200 episodes in the 50’s
Sparky ! A little nod to the little green dog from the Walta and King comics run for Vision and unfortunately soon meets the same fate 💔
A little nod to Endgame when we hear from Monica that Wanda definitely could’ve taken down Thanos by herself had Thanos not rained fire - and Jimmy arguing that Captain Marvel could’ve just as easily done it - which leaves Monica with an angry look on her face
Good ol’ dial up internet
Can Vis “save” the residents of Westview? He can still seemingly interact with people’s minds, with or without the mind stone - Norm soon comes out of his trance as Vis snaps him out of it and asks to call his sister and that he has to save them all from “her” - now this “her” could be Wanda...but it could also be Agnes and then Vis shuts him down soon enough again and Norm goes back to his sit com self
Billy and Tommy are fully aware, or at least suspect Wanda’s abilities - after asking her to bring back Sparky from the dead and speaking of Billy and Tommy - could they be semi permanent fixtures in the MCU, it would help to introduce the Young Avengers eventually. They'll do Young Avengers at some point since Kang is supposed to be a thing in the third Ant-Man.
Teddy, unfortunately, I don't think will be here for a bit (I really hope he is though!). I think the guy they hired that everyone is rumoring to be Teddy might just be an episode about Billy coming to terms with his sexuality and Wanda and Vis learning to accept it in the way that era of tv they're in would go about with that kind of episode and the dude is just a dude - but again, I really hope it’s Teddy 😭
Wanda leaves the hex after a mini missile/plane tries to shoot at her - and she’s in her Scarlet Witch costume and is seemingly mostly back to her “normal self”, which includes her accent !
Lagos brand paper towels - “For when you make a mess you didn’t mean to” - a nod to Civil War again in which Wanda accidentally blew up a building in Lagos and caused the Sokovian accords to come to fruition
The mail man again - I also think he was in the commercial but anywho - “Your mom won’t let him go far” similar to “Much like she won’t let anyone leave” a potential nod to Wanda or Agnes not letting anyone leave?
“We can’t reverse death” and yet she brought Vision back - keeping in mind that he’s an android but still a little foreshadow to what happened at the end of the ep? Better yet, could Pietro coming back be a distraction for Wanda? Agnes or whoever introducing someone that Wanda lives in hopes that she won’t go full on breakdown superpowers or just to give her an attachment to Westview even more and make her not want to leave at all
“She recasted Pietro” EVAN ! I’m so pumped for this - it seems this could turn into the X-Men making their debut earlier than expected possibly? In any case, it’s a nice little Easter Egg to the previous Fox franchise of X-Men movies where Evan played Peter Maximoff “Quicksilver” alongside James McAvoy as Prof X, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and so many others - and with Deadpool being confirmed as Disney’s first R rated film, it seems Mutants are definitely on their way to the MCU
Agnes is definitely Agatha or a gender bent Nightmare
The way Billy shed himself and Tommy up was scary - definitely a little nod to his powers coming in
Multiple different perspectives of Wanda saying that Monica left
Red Hex dialled up to around light sources (computer, window, etc.)
Vision mentions reading Charles Darwin’s The Descent of Man - which could refer to Mutants entering the MCU, Mutants being superior to humans
Agnes calls herself Auntie Agnes - in episode 2 during the title sequence in the grocery store there’s a product called ‘Auntie A’s Kitty Litter’
Agnes refers to herself as a Tiger and in the episode, there’s a Tiger on the dining table in the kitchen - could that be a listening device, her eyes and ears?
There are no other children in Westview - Billy and Tommy are immune because they have no prior trauma
Elizabeth Olsen’s photos are real and slightly altered with Sokovian flags in the background
In the birthday shot of Billy and Tommy, they have ‘1,2,3,4,5’ candles all on one cake
In the holiday photos, Vision goes from Turkey to Easter Bunny, to Santa and progressively gets more unhappy - realising he no longer wants to play along in Wanda’s Hex
During Monica’s callbacks to seeing Wanda’s pain inside her head, we see a new shot of Wanda crying - it looks like it’s around the time she stole Vision’s corpse, as the outfit she’s wearing is very similar, if not the same - could this be an after shot of when she’s trying to bring Vision back?
During the scene where we see the footage of Wanda stealing Vision’s corpse, the S.W.O.R.D logo that appears on the table has 8 stars around the rim of the logo but then has a 9th one in the middle - could this be a little Easter Egg to the nine realms of the Cosmos? And there’s also a map showing Cape Canaveral, could that be where S.W.O.R.D’s headquarters are?
Wanda and Pietro were born in 1989 to Irina and Oleg Maximoff - who were killed in an air raid when the twins were 10. In the comics, Wanda and Pietro were raised by Django and Maria Maximoff, before their true parentage was revealed as being the children of Magneto, however, in the comics this has been retconned so that Wanda and Pietro are no longer Mutants and the High Evolutionary had just disguised them as Mutants (something I think they should undo tbh - MARVEL, PLEASE MAKE WANDA AND PIETRO MUTANTS AGAIN!!!)
Speaking of the air raid, that was also referenced in Age of Ultron by Pietro and Wanda - “We were 10 years old, having dinner the four of us. And the first shell hits 2 floors below, makes a hole in the floor” - was the beeping Stark toaster be what that was referring to?
WHIH reappears for a brief cameo as the news service in the MCU - and Hayward cuts off Jimmy as he was trying to defend Wanda’s reputation, in which Jimmy then turns to Darcy and says “I try not to speak ill of people” Darcy then follows up with “Then allow me, Hayward’s a-“ and then she’s cut off by a shot back to Hayward saying the word “Terrorist” which would make sense as it seems with Vision’s corpse, he may have been trying to make sentient weapons and by subverting Vision’s will and blaming Wanda of doing the same. In the footage shown of Wanda stealing Vision’s remains, we see Vision broken up into parts and S.W.O.R.D seems to be experimenting on him and this seems to be the robotics/nanotech project that Hayward was referring to. Monica asks Hayward about the footage saying “When was this?” to which Hayward replies saying “9 days ago. Maximoff stormed our facility, stole Vision’s body and resurrected him” - this would mean that Wanda took Vision 2 weeks after the events of Endgame, about a week before Monica returned to S.W.O.R.D and Hayward didn’t tell her any of this and when he sent her in there, he knew exactly what he was doing - with her reputation after Civil War, this makes it easier for Hayward to paint her as the villain.
Back in Westview, Tommy wears red and Billy wears green - which are the colours that Wiccan and Speed wear in the comics, respectively. And it’s also the colours that Wanda and Vision are known for and appears quite a lot in their wardrobes
More in regards to Sparky, he was the synthezoid dog in Tom King’s run of Vision - the story being that he was originally a dog named Zeke who unfortunately passed away after digging up the Grim Reaper’s corpse and getting zapped. The Grim Reaper’s helmet appears during the title sequence of Episode 2 in the floorboards. Could Sparky have been trying to dig up a similar thing when he was caught by Agnes and consequently killed?
Monica mentions that she knows this aerospace engineer, they’re never shown but she is seen texting them. Could it be Reed Richards a.k.a Mr Fantastic? Hayward did mention that some astronauts used to work for S.W.O.R.D before a mission went haywire - though it seems a bit lacklustre to introduce such highly anticipated characters this way. Could it instead be the Skrull daughter of Talos that Monica befriended at the end of Captain Marvel? She mentioned that they had extraterrestrial allies in episode 4 working with her and Fury as apart of S.W.O.R.D - in the Spanish subtitles they use the feminine articles for this engineer - so I think it’s more likely to be Talos’s daughter
The board that we saw in Episode 4 now includes the mailman, drivers license and all - could he be Jimmy’s missing witness?
The tension in the room after Jimmy references Carol is similarly seen when in Spider-Man: Far From Home, where Peter asks Skrull Fury/Talos “How about Captain Marvel?” To which Talos replies “Don’t involve her name”. Fury, Monica and Talos were all on the side of the Skrulls by then end of Captain Marvel and the space station that Fury was on maybe apart of S.W.O.R.D. So did Carol betray them?
A slight reference to Captain America: The First Avenger is made when Monica pulls a Peggy Carter and shoots at something to see if it’s bulletproof, in Peggy’s case it was the iconic Captain America shield and in the case of Monica, it was her clothes that she was wearing after Wanda threw her out of the Hex
Abilash (Norm) never states that Wanda is the one that Vision has to save them from, it’s just “her” - could this instead be Agnes?
When Billy is training Sparky to sit, he puts the treat by his ear up to his temple - a future reference that Billy will one day share the same powers as his mum?
During the scene in which Wanda leaves the Hex briefly, she turns the guns onto Hayward but none are trained on Monica - she may still trust Monica slightly, whereas with Hayward, she slightly more pissed off because of what he was doing to Vision’s remains. And turning a bunch of guns on the people you don’t trust? Like father, like daughter as Magneto pulls a similar move in one of the X-Men films - Hopefully, the big cameo they keep teasing will be Ian McKellan as Magneto or the Magnus of this House of M adaptation
During when Agnes “found” Sparky, she says he died from eating too many leaves from her plants - in the Tom King Vision run, one of Vision’s kids ends up killing Sparky and sees inside his stomach that there’s a plant that Agatha Harkness grows in her garden
All the names that appear during the credits that Wanda tries to run to end the show and to stop Vision from talking are names of people who work on the actual Wandavision show itself
When Evan Peter’s version of Quicksilver shows up, he says “Does a long lost bro get to squeeze his sister to death or what?” I DO NOT TRUST THIS PIETRO - Similar to Wandavision, the Fox X-Men movies moved up decade by decade - First Class was in the 1960s, Days of Future Past was in the 1970s, Apocalypse was in the 1980s and Dark Phoenix was in the 1990’s - which would make even more sense as MCU! Pietro wasn’t born until 1989, whereas Peter was active during the 1980s. I reckon that this Pietro is Jimmy’s missing witness, Agnes’s husband Ralph and is disguising itself as a comforting presence to Wanda as Vision no longer brings comfort and is trying to bring Wanda back to reality - and when he shows up, the mirror in the background behind Wanda is slightly distorted but his hand looks red and in the shot as well, there seems to be a grey arm reaching towards Pietro - in the shot itself behind and in front of Wanda, there’s nothing there but in the mirror, there is! Either way, I do not trust this Pietro and it’s just an entity trying to give Wanda the last thing that could make her happy - but it won’t last, as everything is already breaking down around her.
I seriously seriously love this show so much 💙

I had an idea for a possible young avengers’ storyline in the MCU. So I decided to post it here. I know nobody asked for it, and most likely nobody will read it. But I wanted to post it somewhere, so who cares?
This is an idea based on what we already know is gonna happen in the MCU as well as some speculations.
Now these are just a bunch of ideas that I think would be interesting to see happen in the MCU for the YA. I have no idea if anything like this is gonna happen. At all.
First, I would like to point out that I am a huge YA fan. They were my first superhero comic ever. So, I would love for the MCU to adapt them as close to the source as possible. But I know that is not happening. So, let´s move on to the “plot”.
So, for starters, let´s answer the biggest YA question right now. Iron Lad. I think we aren´t getting Nate Richards as Iron Lad. Rather, I believe we are getting Harley Keener as Iron Lad. Now I could be wrong, and all this would be useless, but I don´t think Marvel would do such a complicated time travel storyline like Nate´s. Add to that Harley´s appearance on Tony´s funeral, and I think he will most likely will become Iron Lad.
The other option would be for Ironheart to take his place. And nobody really wants that to happen. It would be dumb and insulting. So, between no Ironheart, and Harley as Iron Lad, (knowing he has no personality yet, and therefore can be given Nate´s personality), the only option to take is the second one.
With that in mind, here is how I would turn Herley into Iron lad:
1) Give him Nate´s personality, trading his obsession with time travel, for science.
2) Make him responsible for the first big YA villain. Which one? Ultron. More specifically, his return with a new body.
How Harley would make that? Well let´s return to infinity war for that. We know Shuri downloaded most of Vision during the movie. I think it would be interesting if Tony salvaged what she did download of him, and rebuild Vision, as an AI, without his emotions. At this point, I think it would be interesting if Harley was on an internship on Stark industries. Like the one Peter said he had, except a real internship. We know Tony pushed himself away from most of the world between IW and Endgame. But what if Harley was the exception? Tony set up his internship so that Harley could have a good future, and kept watch over him. That would explain his presence in the funeral. Even if he was far from Tony, they kept a connection through science.
Now, let´s move to Endgame. If Tony rebuild Vision, why was he using FRIDAY? Simple, he wasn´t done yet. Maybe he had just finished it and didn´t have time to start it. Or maybe he didn´t even finish rebuilding Vision, Harley did it.
Now, where is Vision then? I think it would be interesting to contrast Harley to Peter Parker here. While Peter is Tony´s legacy on superheroics, I think Marvel should make Harley Tony´s legacy in science. And that is why I think Tony could have given Vision to Harley. And contrasting Peter to Harley, gave the latter access to Stark Industries scientific/information resources, while Peter got more access to resources that could be used for superheroics. Now, I know MCU Peter is a scientist too, but differently from comic´s Peter, that is not his big thing. Harley, on the other hand, is much more of a scientist/builder.
If I could touch one both of their storylines, then I would move Harley´s into a hero´s jorney, while I would slowly make Peter more of a scientist/builder. But that is just me.
Anyway, like this, Harley would have both access to Vision, and access to Stark Industries resources, which he could use to build Ultron´s new body. How that happens? After Tony´s death Ultron pretended to be a human, and talking to Harley online, influenced him into helping Ultron create an even better body than Ultron ever could. Then influenced him into creating a prototype, just to prove they could do it. And that was enough for Ultron. He took over the prototype, and flew away from Harley´s lab, went into hiding, and slowly upgraded his prototype body, according to Harley´s project.
Harley, ashamed, hide this and decided to take care of Ultron himself. Now it´s important that I think both Harley and Tony didn´t want the boy to become a superhero. Which means maybe Harley promised Tony he wouldn´t do it. However, he has to break his promise, and for that, creates a new suit of armor, based on Tony´s own armor, and his new Ultron project.
With access to an Iron man type of armor, and an objective, Harley realizes that he can´t defeat Ultron alone. So he uses a hidden file on Vision (left behind with express orders to only be used in extreme emergencies), the avengers fail-safe program. A program made to find youngsters with ties to the avengers who could become new avengers in the future.
Harley finds 3 close candidates: Eli, Billy and Tommy.
Now, moving on to these 3, Tommy and Billy would appear in doctor strange 2, but still end up dying, and being resurrected. Billy is close and Harley recruits him. Tommy is in Juvie, and therefore Harley can´t reach him. How Vision found them? Once Hex!Vision connected to White!Vision, he also connected to AI!Vision. At that point AI!Vision was able to keep tabs on the boys. He learned they had superpowers, as well as the signature energy for those powers. So, once AI!Vision found said energy signatures, he put them on the program.
Eli shows up in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where I would use the Truth storyline. Now, I think Tony (or maybe only JARVIS) could end up finding out the truth about Isaiah, and decided to keep an eye on the Bradley family, even if just to protect them. I would end Eli´s storyline in TFATWS with him getting shot to save Bucky, and getting the blood transfusion from his grandparent. Which would put him in in the program again, since AI!Vision would predict him getting super soldier powers.
Iron Lad, Asgardian and Patriot form the first version of the young avengers. They start training, but not superheroing yet, while Harley looks for Ultron. The other boys don´t know he helped Ultron rebuild his body. Just that he found out Ultron was still alive somehow. Their first adventure happens in secret invasion.
Moving to Captain Marvel 2, we already know the enemy is gonna be the religious skrull. I would also use the movie to introduce Teddy. Basically the movie starts with us fiding out, in a flashback, that Mar-vell had a son, Genis-Vell. He fell in love and had a son with the princess of the skrull. Except he had to abandon them, in order to hide their existence from the kree. When her child was still a baby, the princess´s ship was attacked, and she was killed. She was able to give her son, Dorrek VIII, to her handmaiden, so he could be hidden. The handmaiden went to earth, and sought refuge with Talos´ people, not telling anyone the boy´s real identity. She raises him as a human boy.
At some point in Captain Marvel 2, we find out about a prophecy that tells Dorrek VIII will turn the Skrull into an Empire, and that said Empire will start on earth. Therefore, the new wants to capture earth to ensure that will happen. We are introduced to “alien” magic, which Monica confirms is like earth´s magic. The queen is defeated and then religious skrull decide to go after their prophecised emperor.
They find Teddy on earth, when he starts using his powers for Greg. He fights with Greg tho, and ends up in a bad place. The skrulls appear before him in the middle of a school day, and try to get him to join them, except he refuses. Billy is present for that, and calls for Harley and Eli, so they can help Teddy, thinking it´s a kidnapping. They “rescue” Teddy.
The religious skrulls end up revealing their presence on earth, alongside their violent intentions, and start a takeover of the planet. Secret Invasion starts. The boys help Teddy escape the skrulls, even releasing Tommy out of juvie, in order to have more firepower. Billy and Teddy start a romance. Teddy, at some point, takes the form of his favorite avenger, the Hulk, and discovers his super strength. Secret Invasion ends, and Fury helps hide the boys´ identity, including Teddy´s. He helps close the juvie that made experiments on Tommy. He also promises to keep watch over them.
They become the young avengers.
Hawkeye ends with Kate mentioning her sister´s wedding.
Ant-man 3 ends up with Cassie having a suit build for her, so she can travel through the quantum realm. She is forbidden from using the suit after it, and from becoming a superhero. She steals the suit anyway.
Young Avengers movie starts with Jessica Jones being hired to investigate the boys, who have started superheroing for real after the end of secret invasion.
The boy´s try to stop and attack on Kate´s sister wedding. The attackers have special weapons that incapacitate them. Kate saves the boys.
Close to the place where the wedding happened, Cassie, who was looking for the boys to join them, meets Kate, who also wants to join the team. They also find Jessica, who tries to convince them to give up being superheroes, given her experience. She realizes she can´t convince the girls, and decides to help them find the boys, thinking they will be safer in a bigger number. Jess, being Jess, finds them easily. The boys answer they are busy, since they realized the wedding was a trap. Harley says it was probably a trap from Ultron, who figured out what Harley was doing.
They decide to go after Ultron, since he is probably doing something big at that moment, hence, the trap.
Now, this is where things get fun, since I would mix up the children´s crusade storyline, with the “kang” storyline.
My idea would be for Ultron to have learned about magic, since he was connected to AI!Vision, who learned the truth behind Wanda. Ultron realized he couldn´t do shit alone, so he joins up with whoever is the villain from doctor strange 2. Now, for this, I would use Mephisto as the villain.
Now, I think Wanda won´t go bad, after the multiverse storyline. She will end up in a horrible place, but will remain a superhero. At the start of young avengers, she ends up in NYC.
Ultron and Mephisto set up a trap for her, and joining technology and magic, are able to take control of her. Or at least try to. The boys find them and start trying to free Wanda, who is passed out. The girls show up and join in saving Wanda. However, they still lose, since they had set up traps for the boys in case they appeared.
They disappear. Not before Harley is able to hack into Ultron and find out their plan. They wanted to use Wanda to cast a spell that would kill all humanity (for Ultron) and would give their souls to Mephisto. They came up with the spell together, and kept it inside Ultron´s memory. Harley stole the spell and erased it from Ultron’s memory.
The young avengers go to their hideout, where Harley explains what he found out. He decides to use the spell as bait, in order to save Wanda.
The villains, in control of Wanda, find the young avengers. They start losing, because of Tommy´s speed. Mephisto uses his power´s along with Wanda´s and they resurrect Pietro, another speedster, to fight against Tommy. The young avengers flee.
They decide to find out more about Wanda, and end up in westview, after Harley probs AI!Vision. They find out about what happened in there, at which point AI!Vision finishes explaining the truth about the twins. (This point could be used to have Ralph tell he is actually Simon Williams, and have him turn into Wonder Man in some way, I actually have a whole idea about how this could happen). Ultron and Mephisto find them. The YA runs away.
Cassie leads them to the pym laboratory. They explain what is happening, and Scott berates Cassie. They end up being found again.
At some point, Billy undoes Wanda´s magic control over Pietro, and he joins the kids.
Ultron and Mephisto realize they need to take the kids seriously, and get more violent.
The YA tele-transport again, but are intercepted by Doctor Strange, who noticed the insane amount of magic being used. They explain the situation to him.
Mephisto and Ultron remember they are heroes, and decide to attack New York to make them come out of hiding. Now, I hate the “save New York, save the world” trope. But seeing as most of the YA are from New York, this is one of the few situations where it would fit well. Mephisto releases a horde of demons on New York.
A final battle starts. Ultron steals the spell back from Harley. Wanda starts casting the spell. Agatha says she believes Tommy and Pietro´s powers have some sort of magical nature. They can bend time, and because of it, they can cancel out magic. Therefore, after the spell is activated, they circle Wanda and keep the effect of her spell inside.
The avengers from the D+ shows appear to help.
They divide into 3 teams. One to defeat Ultron. One to Defeat Mephisto. And one to stop Wanda.
They realize Wanda´s spell can´t be stopped, since only the caster can stop their spell. However, Billy can undo Wanda´s spell (when he released Pietro from her control), maybe because his powers come from hers.
He doesn´t know how to do it tho. Strange tells him to release his magic, and the other spellcasters will mold it to undo Wanda´s spell. Billy does so, but ends up losing control. We have the iconic YA vol. 2 scene, where Teddy helps Billy control his magic (in a perfect world, they would end up kissing in this scene).
The spellcasters use his power to undo Wanda´s magic. That also undoes the control over her. They all converse on Ultron and Mephisto.
Hawkeye realizes Mephisto has messenger demons. Teddy turns into one and takes him down by surprise.
Ultron builds a shield around himself, and tells the heroes he still has a second plan. He has control over the nuclear nukes on the world, and he will activate them. Eli tells him they have a Cassie. She appears inside the shield and stomps on Ultron, winning the day.
Of course, I also have many other ideas for specific character storylines. But I am tired of writing, and might add them on another day.
IDEK why I wrote this actually. I guess I just wanted to share it somewhere.

WandaVision episode 7 spoilers
My notes of the episode I would now like to state (before I start the episode) I don’t think the Metispho theory is going to happen anymore I believe it’ll be something or someone else.
Title: Breaking the fourth wall
It would be Wanda breaking back into her legitimate/original reality instead of ours since she created her own within that.
Ahh it’s starting
Vision isn’t next to Wanda when she woke up
The kids game controllers keep switching years.
Billy said his head hurts I’m assuming all the voices from everyone else are crowding his.
The show is definitely set closer to our time maybe the early 2000s or 2010.
The milk box is changing years as well and she said she’s not sure what it’s about. But this is first time we’ve seen her eat since episode one,
The hex is now huge. Hayward is planning on launching something knowing him it’s a weapon.
Vision has woken up next to the city’s and recalls that he was pulling apart. He’s also confused on why Darcy doesn’t
Darcy is doing her individual interview and she is an escape artist maybe this means she’s gonna get out.
“Don’t believe anything that man said he is not your uncle,” Wanda after the twins asked what uncle P meant about rekilling Vision. She said she had no answers.
“I’m starting to believe that everything is meaningless,” She’s clearly breaking down way pass her breaking point which is why she was comfortable saying something like that in front of the twins.
Agnes knows she’s going crazy hint the cutting her own bangs comment.
The twins don’t want to go with Agnes because they think they need to take care of Wanda,
Things are glitching back to older decades and she had to manually switch it back then the infamous “I’m fine,” Laughing.
Monica and Jimmy found out that Hayward was trying to bring Vision back as a weapon which is why he was so upset when Wanda was able to bring him back
Finally
So now they’re saying that they need to warn Wanda.
They found the rest of the SWORD agents wait nvm those are their contacts
They said they’re loyal to Monica just like they were to her mom interesting.
They got the tank she need to safely re enter the hex.
Darcy has been freed from the spell. Darcy punched the circus
She admitted she doesn’t know who the imposter Pietro is or if her kids are safe.
Wanda’s losing control over her powers the house keeps changing.
“I don’t understand what’s happening why it’s all falling apart and why I can’t fix it,”
Interview guy: “Do you think maybe this is what you deserve?”
“What?” Wanda “Youre not supposed to talk?” Shes loosing control over the citizens as well I suppose.
She’s depressed so the commercial about antidepressants is a given but the line “ A unique antidepressant that is made to anchor you back to your reality,” Is what has me confused on which reality they’re referring to. Nvm “Or the reality of your choice,”
One of the side is more depression which I think she was depressed outside the HEX before she made it and when she made it it just brought her to the depression she’s in now.
“Nexus because the world doesn’t revolve around you or does it?”
Agnes still has the bunny from the second episode
Billy said I like it here because you’re quiet Agnes on the inside. I haven’t moved on yet but I think he’s saying he can’t feel the pain inside her like Wanda’s grief is in her control and my default in the rest of Westviews citizens but he can’t feel the pain in Agnes maybe because the control isn’t there?
Tommy “ do you think our moms okay?”
Agnes looks around confused before saying “ oh for sure you don’t have to worry about your mom she’s a super mom,” Then it cuts to her interview saying “Ralph says I sugarcoat things,”
Still mentioning Ralph but even in their house we haven’t seen them.
Monica has a SWORD suit on made to contain her but now that’s shes her pure energy what’s gonna happen?
She said this is there last shot. What does she know that makes this the last shot because from what we know she can go back in whenever with the equipment she was given.
The exterior of the hex is becoming equal to the vehicle so it was half of it was rewritten before shot back out.
Monica knows she can make it through and as she goes through you can see different stages of her life and here the dialogue of her in Captain Marvel before her mom goes to space with Carol.
“Maybe I could fly up and meet you halfway,” Younger Monica.
She’s now screaming no I think she’s being rejected back out maybe because this time she isn’t being sucked in.
All of her phases and ages were pushed into her bodies and her eyes glew blue.
She can see all the energy in colors coming off the powerlines the whole world was in like pastel colors pink purple and blue. Before she blinked her eyes and it went back to normal. She’s getting her power exciting. She took her sword suit off because she doesn’t need it.
“So Wanda killed me?” Vision
“Yes, but it’s not that simple you asked her to do it,” Darcy.
“Why would I have done that?”
“To save the universe well half of it,”
“Did it work?”
“It did. Until the bad guy rewind time and killed you himself.”
She’s catching him up on his life before Hayward took him apart possibly wiping him. I can’t tell if Wanda or Hayward wiped him. Since he was so scared about not remembering anything before Westview before he gets his summary now.
“I came back and died again?”
“And Wanda had to watch,” After Darcy said that you could see the pity in Vision’s eyes.
Vision’s interview: “I believe Wanda is creating these impediments to stop me returning home,”
Yeah she’s created another one the construction workers stopping them from getting home.
Vision said he was a body made by Ultron and an AI named Jarvis but what is he now?
Darcy said she thought Wanda just like flipped a switch and brought her back but she doesn’t understand why he dies if he leaves.
“What I do know is I’ve seen watching WandaVision for the past week and the love you two have is real,”
Vision seems conflicted at that.
Monica made it in and when she came into the house Wanda was taking the Nexus antidepressants and she is confused on how she got in.
She begins to blame the drones and missles on Sword which that was then but then she blames Pietro on them and Monica claims Pietro wasn’t Swords doing.
Everyone including Dottie is watching Wanda use her powers to hold Monica in the air. They all seems stunned but not really surprised
“All you do is lie!”
When Monica hit the grown energy surrounded/protected her and her eyes were blue again. Wanda was definitely shocked by whatever powers she developed.
“The only lies I’ve told are the ones you put in my mouth,” Monica walking towards Wanda.
“Careful what you say to me,” Wanda as she conjures up her powers as a way to threaten Monica.
“Do it then,” Monica said knowing she probably wouldn’t do it. I think she knows Wanda wants help she just doesn’t want to leave her kids and Vision behind. “Take me out,”
“Don’t let him make you the Villain,” Monica talking about Hayward who’s going to tear Westview down to get Vision back.
“Maybe I already am,”
Agnes sees this go down and goes outside. Monica talks about how she isn’t scared of Wanda she already lost her mom and that was the worst thing that can happen. She said she can’t bring her back then she says. “I can’t control this pain anymore,”
Which is Wanda’s situation entirely her pain got so out of control her powers made up for it. Monica and Wanda share an understanding.
She broke through to Wanda I could see it in her eyes but then Agnes came over and said “Young lady, I think you overstayed your welcome,”
Agnes doesn’t want Westview to end she can’t let it end. I’m assuming she said something to do with the creation. Agnes is manipulating Wanda to thinking what Agnes wants is what she wants but it’s not. Wanda was going to shutdown Westview until Agnes came and led her away.
As soon as Wanda was back inside the rest of the citizens went about their day.
There is kids where did they come from? I’m still confused on that.
Now Vision is starting to understand what Wanda went through he’s realized how much stuff she endured he endured it too but he said it felt like it happened to another person. I feel like he’ll be less harsh now. Or stop trying to shut it down as hard I’m not sure yet.
He ended the interview saying “I need to get to my wife,”
Agnes brought Wanda to her home.
Wait how is Yo Gabba Gabba on the TV when thats a nickeloaden show. That wasn’t really related I was just confused.
The music has gotten scary as Wanda looks around.
“Where are the twins?”
“Oh they’re probably just playing in the basement,” Agnes said seemingly wayyy to calm for the twins to be possibly missing she knows something.
There are vines all in Agnes’s basement and there’s wind blowing it’s like a maze. There’s a book it looks like a spell book. Yep it was.
She came down to find Wanda stroking Sir Sratchy
“Wanda, Wanda. You didn’t think you were the only magical girl in town, did you?” She just admitted to being Agatha Harkness.
She is the villain I’m sure of it. Her and Hayward are both the villains. I’m just not sure why she needs Westview to stay up and running.
Wanda has red or scarlet waves that show her powers and Agatha or Agnes has purple waves.
Her eyes are purple and she’s going into her head.
Agatha is getting her own show theme sequence called “Agatha all along,” It’s going through the decades it’s switched to. Her waves are purple and she has the power to manipulate peoples mind I’m assuming. That’s how she messed with Herb after fixing the talent show.
OHHH MY GOD
people thought the twins brought back Pietro or Peter after seeing their mom upset but it was Agatha.
Agatha was the interviewer who asked “Do you think maybe this is what you deserve?”
She’s not only playing physical tricks and changing the actual physical surroundings in Westview she’s doing mind tricks.
“Who’s been pulling every evil string?” The chorus.
“She’s insidious,”
“So perfidious that you haven’t even noticed and the pity is,”
“It’s too late to fix anything now everything has gone wrong,”
“Thanks to Agatha Naughty Agatha,”
She admitted to killing Sparky which I think I commented on a few eps back.
But the “it’s too late to fix anything”might be why the times period keep changing along with the house because she’s already lost control of her powers she can’t get control back now. “now that everything has gone wrong,”
A lot of suspicions people had including myself have been comfirmed Agatha is the villain. But that’s only from the inside we still have Hayward to worry about.
WAIT THERE END CREDITS THIS TIME.
It’s Monica trying to break into Agatha’s basement as soon as she opened the door from the outside. Her eyes might’ve changed a bit but there was purple waves from Agnes in the vines. I can’t tell if Monica eyes are blue from her energy or purple from Agatha’s influence.
But a man caught her and said “Snoopers gonna snoop,” At first guess I randomly said Tommy all grown up but that’s unlikely now I’m thinking it was Ralph. We wouldn’t know because we haven’t seen him all season though. Wait that we Peter/Pietro that’s how he got back there so fast.

i kind of had pren52 freddy in mind for this but malik’s new addition brings it all around again. mary at this time and malik particularly have this idea that the power isn’t necessarily temporary but it’s just. a role to fill. and they’re fine with that for now because if they’ve filled a role it means they can leave it again. and they will, because they have personal desires and goals and identity to fulfill. the vasquez kids insofar as theyve been portrayed enjoy the power but it’s not a priority in their life that consumes them. it’s just a duty on their roster because it just so happened to fall into their laps.
that ofc brings us to billy. because he’s the start and likely will be the end of everything. but the thing with billy is that he doesn’t think about being a hero the same way the others do. it isn’t temporary or a role to fill or even a responsibility. it just is because he just is. canonically he doesn’t even really like school. he doesn’t have many meaningful connections outside his hero community or immediate family (emphasized in postcrisis/current continuity). the power and the duty is the only thing he lives for now, aside from his family, and sometimes i even feel at times the other two things can trump the latter.
he seems fine with that. he’s the only one thinking about this long-term, until death most likely. (and for most dc writers who got their hands on him, that boy doesn’t live to adulthood much lol). ofc there’s something extremely sad about that. it’s why in recent years shazam the wizard has become such a scapegoat for fans and writers alike - how DARE he choose his champion to be a child? critique like this is kind of baseless to me though since it’s just like the “batman’s robins are child soldiers” rhetoric. ive mentioned this before but if you really ache to modernize him being a chosen one then do it the same way nearly every other chosen one in media is portrayed: there’s no choice! it has to be him. if i made u say shazam the wizard had no choice in the matter because no one else in the world was capable of being a vessel and somebody had to do it maybe u would leave that sad old ghost hag wizard alone!!!
this is an important point to come to terms with too because people really do forget that billy batson is a typical trope “chosen one” and he knows it. he’s been thru the refusal of the call and the rest of the hero’s journey cycle and you should meet him when he’s ages past that struggle already. he has accepted his role! i think this is also what leads to the “borrowed time” portion of this whole silly essay because there’s nothing more fairytale than this kind of story. the story of a boy who has nothing suddenly gifted everything is nothing short of a fairytale!! a dream. he’s wendy darling going to neverland not wanting to grow up until he decides he actually does and that he needs to. if shazam/captain marvel has all the wisdom of the mortal world then he has to know even as a guess that all things end, even his powers, which from the start don’t even belong to him. he’s just a channel, like black adam before him. billy is not immortal. it’s quite literally his tagline name. the world’s mightiest MORTAL. that is what sets him apart from when he’s powered up. and i guess in a way it one could argue it may be poetic that billy in elseworlds dies so much. bc despite the power he rly is mortal. but bc this is comics everything happens again all the time nearly in the same way.. and nothings more set in stone than billys story. so in a way it’s just impossible to escape
none of this is necessarily a topic any writer in dc i feel would approach with shazam now though. im thinking waid’s upcoming run considering his captain marvel history could be genuinely sweeping up the shards from geoff johns’ sad leftovers but since it’s feeling like a recovery/clean-up plot just like the new champion of shazam was for mary, again i just doubt there will be too much room for exploration other than setting the plate for future billy involvements. my only hopes though is that waid truly believes in the cap marvel “he carries something in him that no one else can” ethos and even if shazam is wrangling space dinosaurs all thru out that series and does nothing deeper i still would be comfortable with that
so fun that the shazam users are simultaneously ‘on borrowed time, this will all end some day’ AND ‘this is cyclical and will happen again and again forever’ children.
#hc#i needed to get this off my chestttt#freddy can get his own essay for this topic my living on borrowed time but also living cyclically son#long post 82882

Good morning babes, time for angst
So y'all know that one episode of Justice League Unlimited, "Kid Stuff", right? Where Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Latern (John Stewart) got turned into kids by Morgan Le Fey to defeat her son, Mordred. At the end of the episode, Batman says, "I haven't been a kid since I was eight years old."
Think about that. Now. Think of Billy Batson, AKA, Captain Marvel (Shazam), the secret child superhero who's been losing his childhood thanks to being the Champion of Magic. The age where he starts being Captain Marvel varies, but imagine if he got his powers at only eight years old.
Imagine Billy becoming a member of the Justice League only a few months later, and being a superhero for years. His coworkers were none the wiser, not even Batman.
Billy having so much responsibility and the weight of the magical world on his shoulders from a very young age, and he's never once had someone help him or asked for help (besides the Wizard and Tawny). He's encountered so many dangerous threats and attacks on his life, both as Captain Marvel and ad Billy, but continues to fight everyday for the sake of everyone else. He loves his city, his friends, and the people that will never know him. He's truly pure of heart.
Now. Imagine an accident happening years later when Billy is like 15 years old, where his age gets revealed to the league and everything is in chaos. Members are confused, upset, angry, shocked, but most of all, they just don't know what to think. An important member of the league has been revealed to be a kid this entire time in secret, hiding it from them for so long.
A meeting is immediately held and Captain Marvel is forced to attend not as Captain Marvel, but as Billy Batson. The chair and tables feel so much higher than before to him, but he sits down at his regular seat and looks at everyone in the eyes. They argue, question him about everything, but Billy is surprisingly calm and mature about everything. He shouldn't be this mature. He'd still a kid, someone says.
"I haven't been a kid since I was eight years old." A sentence that gives Batman chills. Billy hasn't been a kid in so long, and neither has he.
He never knew it before, but they were so alike this whole time. Opposite on the spectrum, but still the same. Two sides of one coin are still made of the same material.
Maybe that was why Batman speaks up for Billy after that, and stands up for him to continue being a league member.
#This has been Billy Batson talks#Billy batson#Shazam#dc captain marvel#justice league#justice league unlimited#batman#That one line had been going around my head for weeks#But I finally found the words I wanted to say#Please share your thoughts#And if there's spelling errors-no there isn't#Also#Justice League Unlimited missed out BIG TIME by not having Captain Marvel in that episode#Would have been so cool#Billy teaching the league that heroes come in all shapes sizes and ages#AND HES THE CHAMPION OF MAGIC IT WAS LITTERALLY THE BEST OPPORTUNITY TO SEE HIM IN ACTION#I better see a fanfic of that one day#Or I'll write it myself

Marvel Being the First Hero to Debut
Let me explain, in the 50’s, precisely 58, is when the Batson’s died. Then, two to four years later, the time bubble appeared. (60-62) In 59, there was a sighting of a red blur flying across the sky, but nothing really came of it.
Now, fast forward to 95. The time bubble pops then instead of twenty years later. So boom, Billy, Mary, and Freddy are now in the mid 90’s. The news catches sight and confirmation Marvel exists like a month after the bubble pops when he’s fighting some random magical monster. His official “debut” as Captain Marvel. Now, Billy superheroes his way through the two thousands. He meets Clark when the Kryptonian is like 17 or so in 2008, and Clark is just gobsmacked at the thought of another Kryptonian (he was a little disappointed to find out Marvel wasn’t) and the fact that there’s someone out there who’s also abnormally strong and fast and also has weird abilities. Mary and Freddy become national treasures. (Their Marvel forms make them look like teens) The three go to Gotham (2009) and they happen to meet young Batman, Dick Robin, and Barbara when she’s still Batgirl. Mary and Barbara get along, Freddy and Dick get along, and Batman tolerates Marvel’s cheeriness. The Justice League is formed(2010), he isn’t invited. (He kinda was. The team came together during a crisis, aliens, and they all worked together. He left before he could actually be apart of the “let’s be a team” discussion.) Then, he continues to superhero, the Teen Titans are formed some time later (2012), Billy doesn’t really care (he does, he’s jealous he can’t join because his Marvel form looks like an adult) but Freddy and Mary do cause they join. (It crushes him inside slightly) Then, Billy gets actually invited to join the JL cause they were like “wait, does he even know he’s kinda in the league?” (2015) Then he joins, and they all think he’s gonna be this super wise, stoic older hero. They think this cause Billy started avoiding press as the years went by, so there’s rarely a video or photo of him being a dumbass and not listening to Solomon. So they’re a little confused when they meet a mid twenties, maybe early thirties something guy who also kinda, might, may be related to Supes, judging by how friendly they are to each other.

WandaVision Episode 9 ” The Series Finale” Review
Through the healing power of grief, Wanda Maximoff discovers new strength within herself.
Spoilers Below
In WandaVision Episode Nine, “The Series Finale,” directed by Matt Shakman, Wanda and Vision battle both Agatha Harkness and the Hayward led S.W.O.R.D. for their home. The miniseries ends with an emotionally poignant episode that is full of action and suspense. Has Wanda and Vision’s love come to an end?
The revelation of “Fake Pietro” real identity is supremely disappointing. Fake Pietro locks Monica up in his bachelor pad. In the first half of the episode, Fake Pietro seems like he is Peter Maximoff from the X Men Universe since the living room looka like his basement in Days of Future Past. But then Monica figures out Agatha is controlling Fake Pietro through his necklace. She pulls off the necklace revealing Fake Pietro to be local actor Ralph Bohner. I wish that the WandaVision writers had decided to write a more engaging storyline where Agatha had somehow kidnapped Peter from his world, opening the possibility for Multi-Universe storylines for the MCU. Instead, Evan Peters is wasted as a mere Easter Egg in this miniseries.
Wanda lets go of her illusions allowing for personal growth. The Westview Sitcom World has enabled Wanda to live in all the lost possibilities that Vision’s death destroyed. Scarlet Witch unconsciously chose sitcoms as the vehicle because it’s always been a comfort source for her, and it’s a space where nothing truly horrible ever happens. Anything sad or complicated is wrapped up in the episode it appeared in and is never heard about again. Wanda pushed all of her pain into the minds of all the Westview citizens that she controlled. They shared her nightmares and shared her emotional agony during the day. Agatha reveals this to Wanda when she lifts Scarlet Witch’s control over them. People lash out when they suppress their grief. Wanda needs to let go of all of her denial of death to help everybody she hurt.
When Wanda faces the truth, she is finally able to defeat Agatha. Agatha wants all of Wanda’s magic. She promises Wanda that if she lets her steal her powers, the ancient witch will fix the spell that created the Westview Sitcom World. Wanda, her family, and everybody in Westview can live a pain-free life. Something that is impossible since life is never without its bumps. Agatha thinks she has won when Wanda can’t let her family go and save everybody by dropping all the Westview Sitcom World illusions. Instead, she starts blindly attacking the ancient witch, allowing her to absorb all her power. But like in Marvel Comics, Agatha “mentored” Wanda. In episode eight, Agatha instructed Wanda that only the witch casting specific runes in a room can use their magic. Scarlet Witch cast runes on all the spell barriers surrounding the Westview Sitcom World. Wanda makes Agatha think she won; instead, she is absorbing the villain’s magic. By embracing her Scarlet Witch persona, she becomes an actual superhero, even getting a new costume. Wanda is now ready to let go of her manifested dreams of what could of been.
Wanda slowly erases the Westview Sitcom World giving herself time to say goodbye to her family. The most beautiful moment is right before the erasure hits their home. Vision and Wanda discuss how they have said goodbye before, meaning they will likely say hello again. The existence of White Vision makes the continuation of their love story highly likely. S.W.O.R.D. programmed White Vision to destroy “conditional” Vision. The programmed synthezoid has no memories of his past, making him easy to control. During the primary fight, “conditional” Vision uses the thought experiment of the “Ship of Theseus” (that’s all about what makes something the original object) to convince White Vision that he is the real Vision. He takes out the memory block from the resurrected synthezoid. White Vision’s eyes change as he remembers everything, then he announces that ” I am Vision.” White Vision flies off. Maybe when the newly minted Vision and Wanda meet again, their love story can start anew.
The end credit scenes open up all sorts of possibilities for future MCU media. The first one starts right after Wanda flies away. A female detective tells Monica that somebody wants to talk to her in the old Westview movie theatre. When they enter the movie theatre, the detective transforms back into a Skrull. Skrulls are aliens that can mimic the form of any living being. The female Skrull tells Monica that a friend of her mother wants to meet her in space. The scene is an Easter Egg from Captain Marvel where Carol introduces Monica’s mother Maria to Talos, a Skrull General looking for a safe home planet for his people.
During the second end credit sequence, Wanda is living in a secluded cabin in the European countryside. These new living arrangements remind me of when Bruce Banner lived alone in a cabin trying to get his Hulk persona under control. There is an illusion that Wanda is making tea, but in actuality, she is floating in the air while reading a book about magic. The witch’s penance is learning how to control “the Scarlet Witch” inside her before re-entering society. Wanda hears one of her twins calling for help. Is this just a memory? A symptom of Wanda’s grieving process. Or do Tommy and Billy still somehow exist? There is no scene showing the twins disappearing at the end of the episode.
” The Series Finale” explores the beauty and pain in grief. WandaVision is a perfect television show for this time when too many people have lost family and friends before their time.

Seen this on Variety website. Though it was really good!
The 9 Biggest Burning Questions Ahead of Friday's WandaVision Finale
SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't seen Episode 8 "Previously On" of WandaVision please don't read!!!
Who is "Fietro"?
Evan Peters arrived at the end of Episode 5 "On A Very Special Episode" , claiming to be Wanda's brother, Pietro. Since then the internet has been in a tizzy over why Peters was playing Pietro Maximoff, and not Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who originated the role in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
In Episode 8 ("Previously On"), it was revealed *it was Agatha all along*, having magically pupeteered an alt-Pietro to prompt Wanda into confession over how she is using complex magic (now revealed as Chaos Magic) to control West View.
But why Evan Peters' Quicksilver? Many thought this was Marvel Studios President, Kevin Fiege's way of introducing X-Men into the MCU but it seems likely now - with only one episode to go - that this plot point will go unresolved. Maybe he really was a way for Agatha to get Wanda to spill the magic beans.
Are The Twins Real?
In one of the comic book inspirations for “WandaVision,” Agatha explains to Wanda that the twins she had with Vision disappear from existence when she’s not around to conjure them into beings.
Wanda's magic expands vastly in WandaVision, but it's not perfect and West View townspeople were real before Wanda showed up. Billy and Tommy however, were "conceived" inside the Hex, and grew to 10-year-olds in roughly 48 hours.
Was Agatha behind Billy and Tommy’s rapid aging when she sprayed “lavender” on them as babies? Or did she merely take advantage of the situation as a way to manipulate Wanda and will take them away to provoke emotion from Wanda?
In the [West Coast Marvel] comics, Billy and Tommy end up getting reabsorbed into the soul of Mephisto, the devilish Marvel Big Bad some have surmised is behind Agatha’s set-ups. It’s only later that Billy and Tommy’s souls are freed and placed inside actual human boys, who become the Marvel superheroes Wiccan and Speed - and become part of the Young Avengers.
In Episode 8 we see Wanda create Vision from a yellowish haze that could signify Mind Stone powers are behind his resurrection (inside the Hex) and it's clear here he is his own being, with his own thoughts and dawning awareness (he explores West View and leaves without Wanda's knowledge), but he also cannot survive outside of the Hex. Will this be the same for Billy and Tommy?
Is Monica the MCU's First Mutant?
After Monica dives back into the Hex for a second time (this time willingly) in Episode 7 "Breaking the Fourth Wall" - we see her develop abilities like glowing blue eyes, super strength and the ability to spark blue-tinged energy - though we don't yet know the full extent of her powers.
All evidence seems to point to Monica Rambeau becoming the superhero Photon, who in the comics has also gone by the names of Spectrum, The Lady of Light, Sun Goddess and even in some storylines Captain Marvel.
In the X-Men films and comics, mutant biology is explained as human mutants possessing an X-Gene - that gene is then activated usually by aging, stress or trauma.
If Marvel Studios somehow ties in that Wanda is, in fact, a mutant, then Monica Rambeau would technically not be the first one to step into the MCU scene.
What is Agatha's Book?
In the 7th and 8th episodes of WandaVision we see this book in Agatha's dungeon, emitting a strange mystical orange aura. The focus on it as Wanda first enters the dungeon couldn't mean a mere coincidence; just another prop in a creepy dungeon.
There are plenty of magical books in the MCU - Doctor Strange has seen/read his fair share - including the Darkhold, the Necronomicon and the Tome of Zhered-Na - but none of which have been explored in the films.
It could be the Book of Cagliostro, the book of dark mysticism that was stolen from the Ancient One’s (Tilda Swinton) private library in the first “Doctor Strange” movie. Agatha owning the book is a sure possibility of Doctor Strange's' tie-in for the sequel, Multiverse of Madness, and making his cameo in the season finale highly potential.
Is There a Bigger Bad Beyond Agatha?
Only in Episode 7 did we come to realise that it was *Agatha All Along*, before fingers had been pointed at Wanda for the actions inside of the Hex. But it turns out Wanda wasn't entirely to blame.
Agatha revealed to Wanda in Episode 8 that she sensed Wanda's powers and decided to come check out what was happening, since then it's seemed like Agatha is desperate to know the full extent of Wanda's powers and where she got them from (especially as she knows what Wanda supposedly is - "This is Chaos Magic, Wanda. And that makes you, the Scarlet Witch").
Whether or not Agatha has existing alliances with other Big Bads in the Marvel comics that could become relevant in this current MCU phase (and/or in future ones) — such as Mephisto, the Grim Reaper, Nicholas Scratch, Salem’s Seven, Nightmare, Chthon, Ghost Rider, etcetera - it doesn't necessarily mean they'll be introduced in WandaVision.
That said, this is the MCU and there's no clear "Big Bad" for the next few phases of the MCU for our heroes to fight against. Will they follow a similar route that of Thanos with someone like Mephisto?
Who Is The Mysterious Guest Star?
This could be the trolling of the decade - and we all fell for it.
For weeks Paul Bettany had teased us with a surprise actor popping up at the latter end of WandaVision. He reported that it's been an actor he's “always wanted to work with” and in the show “[they] have fireworks together."(He announced this after Evan Peters' reveal).
Actors including Al Pacino, Mark Hamill, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy have been theorised from the clues Bettany hinted at, playing various roles such as Professor X, Mephisto, Magneto etc.
At the end of Episode 8, in a post-credit scene, S.W.O.R.D Director Hayward awakened White Vision, who is also played by Bettany. Did Bettany mean himself all along? It's likely we may see White Vision (of S.W.O.R.D creation - he has no memories and doesn't speak in the comics) come head to head with Wanda's Vision in the finale.
Will Vision Survive the Finale? Can He?
Episode 8 heavily showed us the trauma and loss Wanda has experienced in her life, including Vision, who helped her after she lost her twin, Pietro in Sokovia. And the Hex is an example of just how powerful Wanda can be in grief.
If “WandaVision” were to end this season without Wanda confronting what she’s done, and finally allowing herself to accept Vision’s death and move forward, well, this wasn’t the show that we all thought it was going to be.
White Vision may come head to head with Wanda if he manages to kill Wanda's Vision - if she can help create him, surely nothing can stop her from destroying the evil doppelganger of her soulmate in the blink of an eye?
Either way, it looks like Vision will have to die in order for Wanda to move forward.
Will S.W.O.R.D Survive the Finale?
Before WandaVision we had never heard of S.W.O.R.D (Sentient Weapon Observation Response Division), but the organisation has been around for years, in the trusted hands of Monica Rambeau's mother, Maria (played by Lashana Lynch) who was then followed by Tyler Hayward (played by Josh Stamberg).
S.W.O.R.D is like the F.B.I, but for space, and Director Hayward's focus has seemed to be entirely on resurrecting Vision and what powerful weapons can be created from Tony Stark's (and Bruce Banner's) creation.
White Vision could be the end or the beginning of S.W.O.R.D, but with upcoming Marvel films set in outer space incuding Thor Love and Thunder, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, The Eternals, Captain Marvel 2, it's unlikely that the organisation tieing Earth to these other-worldly characters (including the Skrulls) will be wiped out after it's first introduction.
Will Doctor Strange Show Up in the Finale? Or any other Avengers?
We already know that Elizabeth Olsen will be reprising her role as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange 2: Multiverse of Madness, as will Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, in March 2022.
Marvel Studios chief Kevin Fiege has remarked repeatedly, that WandaVision directly links up with the events of the Doctor Strange sequel. So it's not entirely unbelievable that Doctor Strange will pop-up in Wanda's self-created reality. Whether this arrival will be a happy visit or not, is the question.
Will he be taking Wanda away to protect her from the likes of Agatha Harkness or S.W.O.R.D? Will he be taking her on a journey through the multiverses to help him save the world? Or will he be taking Wanda to help her study the Chaos Magic and her Mind Stones' powers (like the Ancient One did with him in the first Doctor Strange film)?

WandaVision: The Unanswered Questions From the Marvel Series
https://ift.tt/38r7iqE
This article contains WandaVision spoilers.
After two months and nine episodes, WandaVision came to a close. One of the more unique projects to come out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the show mixed mystery and horror with sitcom pastiche and understandings of grief under the superhero umbrella. The first step in both Phase 4 and Disney+’s Marvel lineup came out a success and built towards future projects.
Then again, its mysterious nature worked against it at times. Figuring out answers on a weekly basis meant trying to stay one step ahead of the show and sometimes it got viewers going in the wrong direction. There was no Mephisto or X-Men or Fantastic Four. On one hand, you can say that people are getting angry about stuff that they were never promised, but there is a feeling that when combing over the details of the show, they did cause us to ask some questions that never quite had a satisfying answer.
After all, even Agnes’ joke story about being out of town due to her mother-in-law visiting proved to be an important detail down the line.
As we sit back and wait for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to pick up where our power couple left off, here are some lingering questions we’re left with from WandaVision.
What happened to the beekeeper?
The beekeeper was the first truly haunting moment of the series. Sure, “Stop it!” and the exploding radio were creepy in their own ways, but the idea of Wanda and Vision walking outside at night to find a lone beekeeper sneaking out of the sewer and quietly looking at them was outright nightmare fuel. It was a major instance of wondering what in God’s name was going on, and that’s even before Wanda simply noped out, hit rewind, and retconned the scene from happening.
We later discover that the beekeeper is SWORD Agent Franklin and his appearance is just Wanda’s reality making sense of a man in a hazmat suit. We see him crawling out of the sewer from his point of view, but then…nothing.
While the reveal of his identity doesn’t lead us to AIM henchmen or Swarm (star of Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark), it does explain the nature of Wanda’s neighborhood. That still makes it weird that we never hear from him again.
Or do we? While it’s never made explicit on the show itself, supposedly the guy playing the ice cream man in the episode 5 intro is the same actor as Agent Franklin. Perhaps the beekeeper didn’t die, but was just assimilated into a happier role.
Who was in Witness Protection?
FBI Agent James Woo gets the story rolling by coming to Westview in search of someone in witness protection. The complete lack of anyone having any information or even memory of this person is what gets SWORD involved and Monica Rambeau sucked into Westview. In the end, the identity is just not important.
But it feels like it should be, right? Having Woo go from coast to coast to follow up on this person seems pretty major. You would think it would have come up here or there, but nope. If anything, I guess it just goes to show that Jimmy Woo is a true professional for keeping his trap shut.
Who is the aerospace engineer?
I can understand that throwing Evan Peters’ Quicksilver at us was a good way to distract us from everything Agnes was doing, but the aerospace engineer? Come on! That was definitely more deliberate than the witness protection and they know it.
Monica brings up a friend who is smart enough to get her to break into the Hex all over again. All that’s missing is a smile and wink to the camera. The writers gave us something so blatant that it would be ridiculous NOT to speculate who she was talking about. This had to be an important cameo leading to something major down the line. Would we get Reed Richards? Blue Marvel? Beast? Dr. Nemesis? NFL Superpro?
Even when Monica’s dream vehicle didn’t do the job, it was still believed that this aerospace engineer would still get a dramatic shout-out down the line or a post-credits scene. Nope. At most, this throwaway friend is like that scene in Thor when Erik Selvig was talking up his gamma scientist friend who went missing because of SHIELD.
What did the commercials really mean?
It isn’t hard to figure out that the commercials were based on Wanda’s trauma: the bomb that killed her parents, her time with Hydra, the events of Captain America: Civil War, and her inability to deal with her grief in a meaningful way that didn’t involve torturing and enslaving innocent people. While it isn’t really important to see how the sausage is made, I’m left wondering what the commercials actually were.
From the fourth episode, we do know that the commercials were part of the transmissions. Darcy was able to see the one for the watch, but was focused on something else. Otherwise, I’m sure she would have been wondering about the inclusion of the HYDRA logo. The way everyone in the SWORD collaboration just glossed over the commercials is rather weird.
One of the popular theories was that the man and woman featured in all the live-action commercials were going to be revealed as Wanda and Pietro’s parents. That turned out not to be true, so…were they also Westview citizens? That would be disturbing because to make sense of the commercial narratives and the sitcom narratives, that family would have to be forcefully separated from the rest of the town.
Did Agatha magic up the stop-motion commercial for Yo-Magic? Because that was about her too much to be something Wanda’s psyche came up with.
Is there more to “Fake Pietro” Ralph Bohner?
“Fietro” was the big red herring of the series. After all that wondering of whether he was the first true step in bringing mutants into the MCU or if he was literal Satan in disguise, we discovered he was Agnes’ hypnotized “husband” whose payoff was nothing more than a dick joke.
Then again, he was already called Peter in the Fox universe, so it’s not such a hard stretch to make him a Bohner.

Monica’s ability to see energy in its various forms allowed her to figure out that Agatha was controlling Ralph with a mystical necklace. Once she tore it off, Ralph immediately gave up and that was the last we saw of him. But what does that mean in terms of his powers?
I imagine Agatha gave him the speed powers so he could play the part of Pietro in order to get intel on Wanda’s magic. Just because she no longer controls him, does that mean he’s physically back to normal as well? Because, hey, he might not be the Quicksilver from the X-Men universe, but he could totally play the role of Quicksilver if Marvel ends up doing a cinematic version of the Thunderbolts or Dark Avengers.
Where did White Vision go?
Vision’s Soul fought Vision’s Body and after we got enough lasers and explosions, the two talked out their differences. Hex Vision convinced his pasty counterpart to stand down and did him the favor of unlocking his dormant memories (that he asked permission was such a nice touch). White Vision recalled everything from the moment of his creation to Thanos pulling out the Mind Stone. Accepting who he is, White Vision flew off and was never referenced again.
I supposed the real question to ask is when will we see him next? Obviously, he has a lot to think about. He’s an emotional husk with lots of data to work through. Does he love Wanda in this form? Can he still love Wanda in this form, knowing what she’s become? As someone who was pro-government oversight, how will it affect him knowing that the government outright betrayed his wishes and memory? Where does someone like White Vision go from here?
Maybe we’ll see him in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Perhaps, when a new Avengers movie finally happens, Vision will show himself again. Or if they go in the direction of Young Avengers, he could be the wise father to the sons he’s never met.
It would be pretty wild if White Vision relearned how to convey emotions by watching Simon Williams movies.
What are the twins, exactly?
“FOR THE CHILDREN!” is what the neighbors echoed like a brainwashed cult, culminating in Wanda’s very unusual pregnancy. It could have been Wanda’s subconscious telling her to have kids. It could have been Agatha testing out her ability to create life from nothing. It also may have been the children themselves.
We never did fully get a grasp on what Billy and Tommy were. Wanda had a very unnatural birth and, outside of being able to age themselves a couple times, the boys seemed fairly down to earth and good-natured, while also still capable of questioning Wanda’s reality. There was nothing ominous about them outside of the weird nature of their very existence.
When Wanda relaxed the Hex, they started to disappear. When she ended the Hex completely, they once again vanished. Simply saying that they were two kids Wanda conjured up out of thin air would have been an acceptable answer.

Instead, when Wanda fully accepted what her reality was and that it had to end, she thanked her children for “choosing” her to be their mother. She was able to explain what Vision was in the grand scheme of things, but she remained silent when it came to those kids. They were an outside force that sought her out. That’s what her final conversation certainly implies.
The post-credits scene had her studying the Darkhold while being alerted to Billy and Tommy screaming for help. They still exist, in some form, somewhere. Their true nature probably won’t be better explained until the Doctor Strange sequel.
Speculation on this one is a pain in the ass because even the comics explanation is a whirlwind of confusion.
What really happened to Agatha Harkness?
Wanda doesn’t kill Agatha, but does punish her by forcing her to be stuck in the living Hell of portraying Agnes the nosey neighbor. It’s a harsh punishment, but her intent doesn’t jibe with Agatha’s post-Hex status. People know about her. Even if the last few in-universe episodes of WandaVision weren’t on the SWORD airwaves, she was still playing the role of final boss and having magic fights in the sky. The people of Westview saw that.
Wouldn’t this mean that she can’t just go back to her “nosy neighbor” role and that she’s likely destined for a cell? She’ll be lucky if the government isn’t doing experiments on her, which is extra messed up when you imagine her acting like Ned Flanders.
At least she’ll be kept subdued for when the Scarlet Witch needs her. Or maybe she too will join whatever Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers team we may see down the line.
