I made some tiny stickers of Billy Batson and Captain Marvel/Shazam!! They’re both shorter than my thumb.
Also, here are the original sketches cuz I think they’re cuter
May add more details like the little patterns on his cape later but for now I’m happy with this! I need to figure out where to put the stickers now tho…

A Small Question
What happened to Shazamite?!?? Like, weren't we supposed to be getting one??
I recently got the Shazam (2023) Vol.1 book that has issues 1-6 and I remembered that the summary for chapter 6 included:
(from the official DC site)
We're twelve issues in and not once has he appeared. Am I missing something or is it supposed to happen later in the series? Was it because they changed the main writer?
Just asking because why include it in the ch6 synopsis and not show him at all? I googled him and any mentions of him come from articles for the preview of Shazam #6(which came out months ago). Does anyone know?

Billy + Marvel!
Started this when the new Venom trailer came out and was inspired. Was finally able to finish it!
Big fan of Marvel interacting with Billy outside of being Captain Marvel, so here’s one of the instances where he “leaks out”. Enjoy!

Shazam #12 Spoilers
More thoughts on the new issue that just came out. (2/2)
Feel free to share your thoughts! You can read it here if you haven't.
Are we finally getting Magic Billy???!!!🥳🎉🎉🎉 Probably not! But at least there's a possibility, we see more than a glimpse of it.
Billy's connection to the Rock of Eternity continues to grow stronger.
Billy is able to make the Rock of Eternity listen to him and traps Captain Marvel to stop him from forcing him to transform.
Marvel is still unable to get out after Billy left, having to send Hoppy to get help (which is funny because he had to bribe him). He only got out when Billy said the word.
Marvel had mentioned a magical leak in the Rock of Eternity, and Billy is the magical leak. A leak that can grow big enough to shatter every dimension it touches, and the Rock of Eternity is connected to a whole bunch of them.
Marvel goes into more detail about the leak:
The Rock of Eternity is tied to Billy in a way that no one could've predicted, and it's not just a place. The Magic of Eternity is reacting to Billy, his emotions, and its effecting reality. And Billy is having strong emotions right now because of his mother.
Here you can see Billy making cracks in the ground every time he steps.
And the cracks grow bigger every time his emotions get stronger. Forming cracks in the sky and ground. Billy is making the Rock of Eternity unstable.
Like👀 It's affecting everything.
Captain Marvel has to untether it from reality in order to stop it and return everything back to normal.
Obviously with the Rock of Eternity gone (and Billy gone with it), if Billy were to come back his emotions won't be affecting anything anymore. But even with the Rock of Eternity not in his reality, his connection still remains.
But think of all the possibilities!
The Rock of Eternity is the source of all magic, a nexus of power, bending to Billy's will.

Shazam #12 (2024) Spoilers
The new issue came out, and I just wanted to talk about it. (1/2)
Feel free to share your thoughts! You can read here if you want.
First things first:
Billy & Captain Marvel switching places in the Rock of Eternity confirmed (sort of, he doesn't explain what more complicated means)
Second:
For those who didn't read the new issue but still clicked, Billy's mom came back right towards the end of the Vasquez's adopting all the siblings because she wants Billy back. Therefore, stopping the process of Billy finally being adopted.
And Billy has a new brother?!? Not really a fan of the idea but I'm not sure if we'll see much of them.
Billy's upset from looking at those family photos. Imagine abandoning your child just to keep the new one? Not only that, but actually trying and giving him a better life. Please, at least let it be a stepson and not biological. 🙏
Was not expecting Billy to have something in common with Eleanor Shellstrop but here we are.
Literally the same speech, he's so hurt :( 💔
The difference from when she was with Billy:
You don't deserve that boy. 😭
Overall, I'm not sure how to feel about this storyline. The Vasquez are his real family, and they know his secret about being Captain Marvel. Also pretty sure it won't work out in the end because of that. I know she's working on becoming a better person, but he was literally about to be adopted with all his siblings.
Idk much about the foster system, but maybe she'll get visitation rights or be able to stay in contact with him if it goes well and if he wants to.
Third:
Captain Marvel trying his best to keep Billy's mom away from him because he knew he'll only get hurt🥺 (Even if some of it had to do with what was happening with the rock of eternity)
He really cares about Billy :(

Number 8 in the wip game
"Meet Me in the Middle": A Billy + SuperSons fic! They're all the same age.
Damian and Jon want to go to the same school. While Bruce and Clark are glad that their sons became friends, they don't exactly want their sons to go to a school in the other's city.
Clark is a bit skeptical about sending Jon to Gotham every day because it's Gotham, and it will take Damian hours to get to Metropolis from Gotham. No, he won't be taking a plane or helicopter just to go to and from school every weekday. Do you know how much pollution that would make? And no Clark, you can't fly Damian either, that would draw too much attention.
They try to find a middle ground, maybe a school somewhere in between their paths. Ultimately, they choose one somewhere near the middle of their destinations. It's in Fawcett City, home of their most cheerful coworker.
Damian thinks he'll use this as an opportunity to uncover the Captain's secret identity, he let it slip once that he did have one. He'll do the one thing his father couldn't, but he'll need an excuse to spend more time in Fawcett outside of school. Maybe it'll be under the guise of making a new friend. Hmmm yes, this kid in the red sweater will do.
Jon is more than happy to see Damian gain an interest in making new friends. Billy seems like a fun guy to hang out with, he'll befriend him too!
--------
Billy: *Overhearing Superman and Batman talking about how excited Superboy and Robin are to go the same school together*Good for them, good for them
Billy: *Suddenly remembering that conversation after becoming friends with the only kids from Metropolis and Gotham* 😲
Idk where exactly the cities are but I know that Gotham City is in New Jersey, Metropolis is in New York, and Fawcett City is in Pennsylvania.
Metropolis will be in more north of New York, Gotham more south in NJ, and Fawcett will be next to where the three states meet.
Here's a map to be more helpful (will most likely move Metropolis and Gotham to be closer to Fawcett but you get the idea):

For the WIP ask game!
There's so many fun options! I'd like to know about Raise Your Hopes Not the Dead
"Raise Your Hopes, Not the Dead" Features a necromancer Billy (not really) Also wasn't sure if I should call it "Raise the Dead, Not Your Hopes" instead because no hopes are being raised, just a failed attempt at raising the dead. The current title is more like a warning.
Anyways, here's the plot:
Starts a little after the death of Billy's parents and Billy living with his uncle. Billy is still in the denial stage of grief. Billy hates living with his uncle, so he runs away. He's homeless for nearly a month until he meets the wizard.
After getting the powers of SHAZAM and becoming Champion of Magic, Billy realizes that he has the most powerful magic in existence at his fingertips. (He doesn't have another form, just stays as Billy.) He finds a library in the Rock of Eternity after wandering around because the wizard straight up died in front of him and left him there with no knowledge of how to get back. The library is full of spellbooks that he goes through quickly thanks to speed of Mercury and wisdom of Soloman. Eventually, there's a book that catches his eye, one that is black with purple accents with a skull in the middle of the front cover and decorated with symbols he doesn't recognize. Inside are spells on how to commune with the dead, and more importantly, spells on how to bring back the dead.
The first thought he has after discovering this? He's going to bring his parents back from the dead! He starts with his dad first. However, it doesn't really go as he planned.
He didn't even know if the spell would work. Curiosity got the better of him and now he's here, in front of his parents' graves.
Billy is able to dig up his father's body, whose body has still not decomposed because I looked it up and they decompose fast but the good thing about the fictional city of Fawcett is that time works differently there. He doesn't have the other ingredients for the spell to work. The spell he's looking at is how to put a soul inside a dead body. He went looking for his parents' souls but for some reason he can't seem to find them. Turns out there are millions of different afterlives for different religions, alien species, etc. all across the universe. Billy stops looking after the hundredth one because he was starting to get frustrated. Others wouldn't even let him enter because he's still alive.
The other spell suggests putting someone else's beating heart into the body. Billy doesn't want to kill anybody, he's trying to unkill somebody. So what he does instead is give up a piece of his soul and heart for his dad. He got chosen for his pure heart so there is no way his dad would go through corruption, turn evil, or other things he's heard of people coming back wrong.
And it works! A bright light is shone after the spell is casted and Billy can see the figure of his dad moving. Except, he's wearing something different than what he was buried in. His dad is wearing a red suit with golden boots, golden sash around his waist, a lightning bolt on his chest that looks like the one from the wizard, and goddamn white cape with gold accents. He looks like a superhero!
After one conversation, Billy realizes that he did come back wrong. He doesn't remember who he was or who Billy is. And Billy tries so hard to get him to remember. It hurts to reintroduce himself to his own father. He tries to tell him that his name is C.C. Batson, he was an archaeologist, he had a wife and son, he was murdered. He tries to recreate scenes in his life to jog his memory, but the man in front of him does not remember anything. It actually started to drive him crazy.
It's like Bily created a whole new person that's wearing his father's body.
Thus, Billy had created Captain Marvel, a name he gave the superhero. Marvel has a good spirit, and he inherited some his powers when he gave him part of his soul, he can be a superhero if he wants to. In fact, that's the only thing Captain Marvel wants to do, he's always busy doing some good deed. Billy should be proud of him, but he just hates looking at Marvel. This is nothing like his dad.
Billy leaves Marvel to his own devices as he leaves to try to find a way to "fix" him. That's when Captain Marvel joins the Justice League. He's having fun and making friends. And he's with them for about a year because Billy has been gone for about a year.
Billy comes back and he's more frustrated than ever. He managed to find nothing. He doesn't feel like going back to talk to someone who doesn't remember him in the way he wants them to, but Marvel is still his responsibility. His other half that left him with a literal hole in his heart and soul.
He comes back to see that Marvel has joined the league and he tries to be okay with it. He's trying to make it work and pretend he's fine with everything. With Marvel being Marvel and picking up slack on the duties he ignored. He feels he finally reached a breaking point. He gave up on looking for a someone that wasn't there. Maybe he can have a relationship with this new version of his dad. But there's always something that irks him every time he sees him.
When Billy finally has a moment of clarity, he realizes just what a crazy and cruel thing it was that he did. Captain Marvel shouldn't be alive in the first place and the hole inside of him just keeps on getting bigger and bigger. He ends up coming to the conclusion that it's time for Marvel to go.
It was time to put an end to this ruse, but the Justice League doesn't seem too keen on letting Marvel go. Who was this kid anyways?
I made two endings
Ending #1:
Billy knows deep down he'll always miss his family, but his heart showed him what he really wanted, a hero to come save him. The reason he wanted them back was because he knew he wasn't ready for responsibility the wizard had bestowed upon him. He tried really hard to avoid it, trying to go back to a time where his life was easier. He even went as far as creating a new person to hand it off to. It was never going to work in the long run, it was Billy's role to fill in the first place.
In the end, Billy finally puts his father's body to rest and accepts his position.
Ending #2:
Billy can't bring himself to put an end to Captain Marvel. He became his own person while he was gone. He decides to let him stay but he still wants to let his dad rest in peace. They go on a new journey to get Marvel his own body. They even start to bond, and Marvel agrees to help with the duties the wizard left him. Billy is finally able to go through the stages of grief and accepting their death.
In case you couldn't tell, this was heavily inspired by Betty Grof from Adventure Time and her relationship with Simon/Ice King. Trying so hard trying to make him remember who he was she actually drove herself mad by becoming a wizard to find a solution, while having moments of clarity. But she ended up sacrificing herself for him to go back to normal.
Billy drove himself mad with grief and the feeling that he was under immense pressure. He feels that he didn't have time process anything before he got pushed into such an important role. It was only made worse when he wasn't whole. Marvel's problem was that he wasn't really brought back to life to begin with, it was just Billy's soul inhabiting a corpse.
(I also have a hc that if Billy were to be gender-swapped, his name would be Betty. Billy Batson -> Betty Batson. Magical girl Billy occupies my thoughts sometimes)

number 14 for the ask game is very intriguing 👀
Oh Brother: Another Billy and Captain Marvel separation fic! Except this time instead of them posing as father and son, they pose as brothers.
The plot is still being figured out, but the idea is straightforward.
Basically, Marvel and Billy do split on some occasions. Usually when Marvel has to do something that is too dangerous or doesn't want Billy to see, like maybe fighting eldritch horrors or fixing cracks in time and space. Any big responsibility that Billy is not ready for, he handles it. It wouldn't be fair to just completely kick Billy out of the mind space and take full control of Captain Marvel when he's doing it, so their solution was to split each other in two as they take care of their different responsibilities.
There is no urgency in putting themselves back together since they separated on their own terms and Marvel made the spell so it wouldn't hurt. They are still bound to each other when they're apart. They always come back to each other anyways.
It's not like Marvel is worried about Billy being defenseless when he leaves. He has a job and an apartment; Billy is more than capable of taking care of himself. Despite all the wards he slapped on him to defend him from everyone and everything, Billy is still the Champion of Magic, he can defend himself just fine. And Marvel is able to teach him magic easier since he is physically there to show Billy the ropes.
Anyways, something happens that leads to Billy being in the watchtower the same time as Marvel. That's when they introduce themselves as brothers to the Justice League. And it feels nice to put a label to their relationship.
They are family. Even though Marvel takes care of Billy sometimes, he is not Billy's father. And Billy never wanted him to be. Being a father and being an older brother are completely different. Billy and Marvel are able to comfortably act as they usually do with each other.
Marvel doesn't need to worry about having to "be a parent" around the Justice League. (He's pretty sure Billy wouldn't even let himself be parented anyways, but he is well behaved and stays out of trouble so there isn't much to worry about. Billy's been up here hundreds of times anyways.) Some of it has to do with them thinking their parents might still be alive, which they don't correct.
It just makes it easier to explain why he isn't with Billy all the time. Their siblings with an age gap, Marvel moved out years ago and of course Billy is still living with his parents, he's only 12. The only time they'll see Billy is if Marvel is "babysitting."
Here's a few scenarios I came up with:
Scenario #1:
Batman: *looking at a picture of Billy and his parents and looks back at Marvel* hmmm...
Marvel: *knowing Billy chose his appearance to resemble his father* I look just like my dad, don't I? 😃
Batman: ...
Marvel: 😅
Scenario #2:
JL: Your timeline doesn't really make sense; your parents would have been really young when he had you, Cap.
Billy & Marvel: Well, time just works differently in Fawcett🙄
JL: ...
