When patrolling together, Red Robin and Robin get cornered by the Joker.
They aren’t too worried at first considering he’s seemingly only got a dozen men and others are on patrol, but then they see what the men are holding.
Joker had made a new Joker venom and they are seemingly the test subjects.
Damian is instantly ready to fight, but Tim is running the odds through his mind and it’s not good. They have a good chance of getting out, they are trained after all, but not without one or both of them getting the venom and who knows how long it will take to make a cure of a new concoction.
Tim can’t let that happen.
Jason, Barbara, himself…
Damian will not be added to the list of people of people tormented by this mad man.
With coms being out of reach as the two went into a private channel so they wouldn’t get in trouble for bickering, and their every move being watched, Tim had few choices.
Tim swallows and pushes Damian behind him, standing tall with his chin up even as his hands start to shake.
Damian starts to protest but Tim is speaking first, “Let him go and you can-… can have JJ back.”
The way Joker starts to grin even wider, slow and painful, is the most unnerving sight Tim has seen in a long time.
Joker laughs loud and starts clapping.
“Oh joy, oh joy! This is more fun than I thought! Always so good at surprises, JJ!”
His laughing doesn’t stop as Tim shakily turns to his little brother, who’s almost eighteen but still little even as he grows taller than him, and holds onto his shoulders.
“Robin, I need you to listen to me. You have to let me go with them or you’ll get hurt, okay? You have to promise me you won’t follow us because I can’t let you get hurt like me and-“
One of the goons takes the chance to knock Robin out and lets him slump into Tim’s arms.
Just as he begins to panic about them hurting Damian or bringing them with him, Joker comes up behind him and wraps an arm move his shoulders, “Don’t worry about him, JJ! Little Robin number… whatever, will be just fine! Batsy will find him and take him back to his nest, while we…” - Joker leans in so he can whisper in his ear - “have a little family catch up!”
Tim nods, not finding it in himself to smile or play along yet, but keeping up his end of his offer.
It takes one day of shocks after his forced make over for him to settle back into the role he learnt the first time. Last time it took two and half a weeks for him to give in and learn his part properly, and then a few more days before he was rescued, but this time it feels almost natural as he puts on a big grin and starts a familiar giggle.
He thinks of Damian, who may have been turned into Joker Junior Junior or some other absurd name, and tells himself it’s worth it to protect him from any more trauma.
Tim is kept for a month, playing house with a mad man who makes rants about JJ’s mother leaving him for a woman and being tortured every time he doesn’t laugh quick enough or seems just a little distant.
When he’s found he doesn’t realise. He’s just sitting there at a dinner table with straps on the chair keeping him down. He’s laughing loudly, knows if he stops he’ll be hit or shocked or forced to drink some kind of toxic chemical until he pukes up blood. He can’t stop, because Papa will be mad and he’s scary when he’s mad and mama isn’t there anymore.
When he process the change of scenery he finds himself in a hospital bed in the cave.
JJ and Tim are so blurred into the same person that when he sees Damian he has no idea who he is at first. He almost expects someone younger, the little boy who first showed up, because that’s the little boy he gave himself up for.
But when Damian stared back at him and starts to tear up Tim finds himself remembering who he wants to be.
He pulls his little brother into his arms, jostling Alfred the Cat, and sobs into his hairline while ignoring the green in his periphery and praying he doesn’t start to laugh.
He fails, but Damian doesn’t give up on him.

Kitty was from Gotham.
So! Kitty was on her way to her old hometown to see what ever happened to her Dad.
See, she used to live in Gotham with her dad, mom nowhere to be seen of course, before running away to be with Johnny and subsequently dying.
She thought it would be better for her dad, not having another mouth to feed on a tight budget and not having to deal with their constant arguments every day. Looking back on it though, that might not have been the best idea. She hadn't even left a note, and for all they argued he did care about her enough that her disappearance would distress him.
But that was fine, she was going to check up on him right now!
He wasn't dead yet, she knew that much thanks to the Kid letting her access the Records of the Realms, but there was apparently some kind of Complications with his File which made it hard to pin down exactly how he was doing and where he was. So right now she was just wandering the streets of Gotham looking for him.
And guess what? No she still hadn't found him yet, he was suprisingly hard to track down. But she did find her apparent BROTHER!
Yeah, apparently sometime after she ran away, he had gotten himself another kid! He was too old to have been a bio kid so it was probably an adoption, but he definitely had a Connection to her Dad, the same kind that all parents and their kids have on their souls.
Well, if he adopted a kid that was fine by her, after all she always wanted a little brother (the Kid didn't count yet), but she kinda wished she had known before now!
She was gonna go introduce herself!
...
Tim was having a very weird day.
Well, it was a normal day for the most part. It became a weird one when a teenage girl walked up to him and introduced herself as his Sister, asking where their Dad was.
This wouldn't have been too distressing, Tim looked fairly average by the standards of Gotham and it would be easy to mistake him for another person with black hair and blue eyes.
The Distressing Part was that the girl in question had green hair, paper-white skin, and blood-red lipstick all covering a face he knew all too well. He saw it every time he had a nightmare about that night.
This Girl was the Joker's Daughter.
#Dpxdc#Dp x dc#Dcxdp#Dc x dp#Danny Phantom#Dc#Dcu#Kitty#Joker Jr#Kitty is the Daughter of the Joker#She looks exactly like him as a Ghost with the white skin and green hair#And it's a common headcanon that she lived in Gotham before she died#So it's not too crazy to assume she was his Daughter#Tim was technically adopted by Joker#They were both Liminal enough by that point that the “familial bond” was ingrained into their souls#Tim is the Son of the Joker according to their souls#And Kitty as his Daughter can sense that connection#So she wants to smother her new Little Brother in all the affection she missed out on#And also find her Dad#The Joker has just been informed by his men that a girl dressed like him was seen wandering the streets of Gotham looking for her “Dad”#And he just saw a picture of her

Imagine the absolute horror Jason would feel upon finding out Tim had spent THREE weeks with the Joker. Jason was with him for less than 24 hours, and bro is traumatised for life. He can only imagine what it was like for Tim in those weeks alone with the Joker.
Plus, the guilt that Jason would feel because of how he treated Tim in the beginning.
Never mind what he would say to Bruce. Jason was mad after the Joker killed him, and he thought that Batman would have killed the Joker for him. He forgave him because he thought it was one time, but two Robins, two sons? That is unacceptable. He would have torn Bruce a new one.

Joker Junior Tim but Tim's afraid of Harley and JJ loves Harley because that's his mom.
When Harley first found out that Tim was JJ and that the bats were the Waynes, she was torn. She wanted so bad to spend time with her son and to apologize, but she couldn't. She felt horrible for what she did.
Reason being is the first time she confronted Red Robin, or Robin at the time, while on patrol. She had found him on a roof and he had been so terrified of her he was shivering. Her heart hurt for Tim, who was scared of her.
She left him alone after that, always choosing to avoid the bird's line of sight and hearing range so he wouldn't be scared. It wasn't until one of the other bats talked to her, Oracle, that she decided to try to get close to Robin.
At first she started by sitting at the farthest end of the building where Tim was perched. She watched him for a few minutes before looking away. This happened several times.
At the point he stopped shivering and looking as tense as he used to be, she moved closer. Day by day, week by week, month by month, she got close to him till she was sitting next to him.
They had started up a friendship then. She would do most the talking, making motherly gestures here and there, till one day, he fell asleep on her. She had taken him to her house that winter night and tucked him into bed, kissing him goodnight and setting out breakfast, hot chocolate, and fresh clothes along with a bag the next morning.
He was scared, of course, this was a villain's anti-hero's house, you couldn't drop your guard too much.
He knew he shouldn't have trusted her.
"Goodmorning, kiddo. I made you some pancakes and hot chocolate. There's some clothes on the bedside and a bag for your costume, Timmy, that way you don't have to go home in that."
He stood frozen as he stared at the large stack of pancakes laid out. He slowly moved forward, taking the fork next to the plate and took a piece off of it.
He hesitated when biting it, but when he did, nothing was wrong with it. It tasted amazing.
He had almost choked several times when he scarfed down the pancakes, the best pancakes he's ever tasted if he does say so himself(sorry Alfred), and thanked her.
He changed and put his stuff in the bag before getting ready to leave, but he stopped himself.
He looked at her, and she looked confusedly at him.
"About the Joker.."
He didn't need to finish his sentence, she already knew.
She sat down and motioned him to sit in the seat next to her, so he did.
She didn't look him in the eye when she spoke. She talked for a while, told him about her relationship with the Joker, about how sorry she was about what she helped do to him, everything.
After that talk, their relationship changed. They became closer, the bats noticed.
Alfred, Bruce, and Barbara seemed indifferent to the change in their relationship, because they knew what happened. They were happy about it, even, about how well their relationship has grown.
At one point, though, things changed again. Red Robin was taken and electrocuted, triggering JJ to cone out. The bats were stuck, unable to do anything without JJ doing something in return, Red Hood was frozen in place despite himself.
It wasn't until Harley entered the scene that JJ ran to her, hugging her, calling her mama that he calmed down enough and started crying.
"Oh Junior, it's okay baby. Mommy's here."
Harley kept saying those comforts until Ivy arrived and swept them away.
"Hey!" Nightwing called out, prepared to go after them. Batman, however, stopped him, stepping up to Ivy.
"Have you got him?" he asked her. "Yes, we'll take care of him until he's better. Tomorrow's your only time I'm allowing you in my place to give him things. Your next visit is when he asks." She warned him. He nodded in return, unphased by her threat.
"B, why did you let them take him."
"There are things you don't know, about the time when Red Robin started out as Robin." Was the simple answer Batman gave them before he left, clearing out the area.

I want content of Tim and JJ being a system.
I want to see Babs, Bruce, and Alfred being the only people who already knew because Dick was off in Bludhaven and Jason was dead.
I want to see something trigger Junior out, maybe he’s watching a movie or something and there’s a family memories sequence
Maybe Tim is beyond badly injured and the only thing keeping him from passing out is by thinking the pain is funny.
I don’t care what it is, I just want to see Junior come out, in survival mode and have everyone react to it.
like they noticed “Tim” would have times he’d act a little off with his mannerisms, but it was nothing like this.
I want JJ to be afraid of everyone and just start laughing hysterically while tears stream down his face, and Bruce has to get a now reformed Harley to come help.
But I also want to see just them functioning as a normal system. Just going about their day to day life before this happens. It’s covert, like in most systems.
idk I’m just a system who wants more system content yall can even throw in other alters if you want but I really want to see JJ and Tim as a system because they’re really different and if JJ got sent into survival mode he’d definitely be unable to mask and I’m definitely not projecting because of something that happened with one of our littles the other day, ok?
(I want more media with systems in it)
(Also very unrelated but could easily be tired back into the previous idea- could we perchance have more Cass content? Preferably where she can talk bcuz she had an entire arc dedicated to it)

JJ (The Rage of a Protective King)
~
So we all know that it's not just beings who used to be alive that can become ghosts but also concepts, just look at ClockWork he's the ghost of Time.
How many of you remember Joker Jr. ?
Because I do.
In this case let's imagine that JJ became a fully conscious being that came from the trauma Tim went through with the Joker and Harley.
But Tim doesn't have JJ in his head not for a very long time, he never put much thought to it other than he was healing from his trauma.
But JJ still exists not in Tim anymore no, he lived and he died, and now he's a ghost who is healing from the trauma as well.
Years have passed
JJ is now almost an adult at least by human mortal years
And he just happens to bump into Danny, and they click
After all Danny understands the trauma of being mentally controlled by a clown look a like.
JJ's appearance now looks less like the Joker and more like Tims.
He's getting better, Danny and him are helping each other heal.
Danny doesn't even flinch when JJ lets out his natural laughter which sounds almost worse than the Jokers.
Danny cares about JJ,
Danny is a protection spirit, he's protective especially to those he considers his so imagine his rage when the Bats find out about JJ's existence and immediately try to hunt him down, have him locked away.
Danny is this close to saying 'Fuck it' and declaring war on the heroes and anyone who sides with them.
All of those who have a connection to death or magic are freaking out
The Infinite High King is here and he's angry
~
Just an Idea
~
Btw, because I see some of ya''ll be confused, especially about the bats being not themselves and seeming bad.
This is from Danny & JJ pov, they're idiots who are panicking and jumping to the worst conclusion,
The Bats are normal and trying to figure out the situation,
JJ saw them skulking around him and panicked TM
Danny doesn't know the situation completely he just saw his friend scared and went straight into the find out stage of fuck around.
In other words they share a single brain cell and it's on vacation.
Hope this clears up the confusion! ヽ༼⁰o⁰;༽ノ

I really need more stuff on some Joker Junior angst, along with Jason finding out about Joker Junior. Even better if you wanna pull in the whole Red Hood (Joker/Jason) Attacking Robin (Jason/Tim), both times when Robin was 15 years old and was supposed to be with someone/somewhere safe.
Hmm... I agree that more content about that would be fabulous. I especially love JJ fanart (there's some really cool ones on TikTok).
Fuck it. Here we go:
TW: torture, Joker Junior, violence, blood, flashback, dissociation, derealization, hallucinating(?)
Tim hands fly to his throat in a desperate attempt to rub away the urge to giggle. He's biting his lips hard enough to bleed in order to prevent them from twisting into a panicked grin.
He's pinned to the floor by a man using one of Joker's alias.
Just like old times, eh?
A snicker slips out at that, which only seems to enrage the man in red.
"Something funny, Placeholder?" The voice modulator in the helmet does nothing to hide the clear disdain and wrath curling through Red Hood. His grip tightens over his holsters, but he doesn't pull them out quite yet. The crimson helmet just glares down at Robin.
Red, red, red. He'd look so much better in Green.
Fuck. Note to self, Tim. JJ likes Red Hood.
Robin locks his face down at this revelation to keep a calm facade. He could try to dislodge the knives holding him hostage, but not with the perpetrator towering over him like this. "Nope. My bad, Hood. Got a little distracted. Where were we?"
The crime lord takes a few steps forward until he's next to the trapped bird. Somehow, he makes even the action squatting appear menacing. "This is the part where I torture you. Where I cut off a little bird's wings so you'll never fly again. Maybe then, B will learn."
Robin watches as Hood draws another knife. The crime lord twirls the blade between his fingers and tilts his head. There's a considering glint evident in his body language.
In a sick mockery of comfort, Red Hood trails the knife down Robin's cheek. It's too close to Joker's signs of "affection" after a round of shock treatment.
Junior shudders.
The leather jacket starts to morph into a lavender lounge coat and Tim blinks rapidly to clear his vision.
A sigh of relief escapes his lips when he's able to see Red Hood again.
The crime lord pauses. He tilts his head once more. Tim can feel the gaze studying him, but he's not sure why. He can't tell if the man is genuinely curious or if he's inspecting Robin like a bug trapped in plexiglass.
When the knife leaves his skin, Tim feels his shoulders lose an inch of tension.
"Don't get too comfortable. I've got a few questions before I snap your legs."
Tim can feel a jolt of pain flash through his legs at the claim. He grimaces at the notion of months off field.
Hood leans back onto his heels, fortunately giving the younger teen some space. It doesn't seem intentional, but it's better.
"You've been Robin for two years now?"
When Tim initially refuses to acknowledge the question, Hood raises the knife. Robin sighs and gives a nod.
The man hums and brings the hilt of the knife to his chin. The weird thinking pose blares an alarm in Tim's brain, but he can't quite piece together where he's seen it before.
"About eight months ago, the clown disappeared."
Phantom feelings of electricity run through Tim's body. His muscles twitch under the memory.
Red Hood leans closer. "Where is he?"
Tim can hear -
"You know better than that, Junior. Where's the smile for your old man?"
A desperate giggle bubbles up Tim's throat.
"Come on, son. You wouldn't want to make your mother sad, would you?"
Joker leans over Tim Junior with a wicked grin. He grips a blade and gestures to Junior's lips. "Do you want your dear old Dad to teach you to smile? Again?"
Junior shakes his head frantically as trembling lips split open in a facsimile of a smile. The motion pulls at his stitches scars.
Scars?
That's not-
Junior's smile starts to fall.
Red Hood Joker crosses his arms. "What the fuck are you smiling at?"
Junior still has a smile on his face (it can't drop), but his eyebrows furrow. "Dad?"
Joker flinches back.
Amethyst cloth flickers to bronze leather and then back again. Forest green hair morphs into a cherry red helmet. Junior watches it peer behind its shoulder before Joker's face turns back to him.
"Batman isn't here."
A cackle erupts from Junior's lips and dissolves into a fit of giggles. Joker peers at Tim Junior in confused horror. The kid turns his head more towards the man. A smile stretches and pulls the corner of his lips, highlighting the faint scars.
Junior Tim hears the man take a startled breath in.
"Batsy isn't Dad. Dad-"
Tim frowns as his gaze drifts away from the man. "I killed Dad. He's dead."
He pouts exaggeratedly before Junior dissolves into a fit of giggles. "Bam!" Both of his hands point an imaginary gun Red Hood's Joker's way. "Bam! Bam!" The hands recoil back as if actually shooting the man.
Tears start to stream down Junior's Tim's face. He fights to bring his lips away from a grin.
"Fuck." He's still grining. "Fuck!"
Red Hood, the cause of all of this, is just staring at Tim. He's observing the teen try to bring himself back to sanity inch by stupid fucking inch.
Tim's eyes dart around the room. He takes a deep breath in and, on the exhale, list something he sees. "Chair. Blender. Staff. Kni-"
Several more deep breaths in and out as he ignores all the knives in the room. "Light. Jacket. Cape. Couch. Lemon. Counter."
His hands paw at his utility breath as he keeps breathing. He grasps one of the sour candies and works on opening the wrapper. He pops it into his mouth and continues the breath exercise.
Red Hood is silent as he watches Robin pull himself back into reality.
It takes several more minutes before Robin's breaths return to normal. He lays there looking at the ceiling absolutely drained and done with this whole situation.
Finally, Tim turns his gaze to the crime lord.
"Can you just kill me already or get the fuck out?"
Red Hood responds by pulling off his helmet.
Tim blinks. Sighs. Then starts up his grounding techniques again.

Tim accidently referring to the Joker as Dad but those who know about Joker Jr aren’t present and so everyone is left with the ‘realisation’ that Tim is the son of the biggest nightmare to their family.
It’s probably Jason and Steph, her there to bother Tim but Jason went to the manor for food and the two naturally started arguing. Maybe Jason tells Tim to stop costing on his case and prove a point be made against blonde, but Tim just offhandedly goes, “Later, I think my dad broke out of Arkham again but the guards aren’t doing anything. Maybe they’re in on it…”
The two present naturally look at each other with confusion and for the first time stop bickering to peak over his shoulder and see what his case is because, holy shit Tim had a villain for a dad and didn’t tell us? Only to see numerous photos of the Joker in his cell and many reports over the last week of how he’s been behaving and Jason…
Steph pushes the man out of the room when she sees his face go from frozen fear to anger, thinking it’s towards Tim and his secrecy and, while she totally gets that, now isn’t the time.
Though when they get into the Jason starts a rant about how Bruce and Dick should have told him that the monster had a child, even if that child wasn’t Tim! Jason protects kids! Did they think he’d hurt him just because of who his father is?
No!
If anything, he’d become the kids full time body guard to stop that mad man from making Tim into another version of himself!
The two naturally go to tell the others, pulling Damian, Cass and Duke into a mostly unused room and telling them what they discovered, all while Tim stays in the library working on his case.
Cass is beyond worried but also confused because he doesn’t seem to have any physical characteristics of the Joker or Harley, but maybe the mother is different? Perhaps it’s still Janet and either she had a fling with the Joker or something far worse, which makes the young girl enraged on the woman’s behalf.
Damian makes a comment about him killing Tim, not in a serious manner but more as an option, but Duke shuts it down, saying that having a villain for a parent doesn’t mean anything about who you will be. He points out those in the family of that nature and other heroes like Superboy.
When asked why they didn’t get Dick or Babs involved, Jason says they defiantly know and lied about it.
It’s only after another three hours of working that Tim catches himself referring to the Joker as dad and shuts his laptop, making his way to Bruce’s room to hide under the older man’s bed like he usually does when that happens, only to overhear what his siblings are saying.
Tim presses his ear against the door to hear better.
“If that maniac had a kid, surely he’d have told everyone he had an heir or something.” That’s Steph’s voice, filled with worry that only he and Cass could detect as she hides it under a whiney tone.
Jason is next to respond, “maybe he doesn’t know? I mean, did Tim ever even interacted with him before he became Robin?”
It doesn’t take much more than that for Tim to realise that he must have been talking aloud again or absently answered someone earlier and misspoke in front of them.
Panic fills him as he avoids telling Bruce when he gets bad, even if it’s just a small thing, because the older man will start of being a concerned parent then go into Batman mode and only just stop himself from putting Tim in the confinement cell. Sure Tim came up with the idea of the cell so he wouldn’t hurt anyone if his conditioning got too bad, but he’s learnt the signs. He’s not a mindless drone, he still knows who he is and doesn’t hear someone talking to him or anything like that.
He just… sometimes forgets the Joker hurt him.
It’s not Tim’s fault that memories of watching TV with him and Harley, tucked between them with a big bowl of ice cream felt better than most memories of his real parents.
But he knows it’s wrong, always comes back to calling the Joker his enemy.
Bruce just doesn’t get that.
Tim hears them talk a bit more, theories about who his mother might be, if Tim is safe at the manor, if Joker knows he has a son…
Opening the door, Tim stands there and stares at them as all eyes snap to him in alarm.
He doesn’t let anybody speak, cutting them all off quickly, “He’s not my dad. Go the cave and search for file number 26557933301-JJ and put in the code AGELAST, all caps.”
With that he turns and leaves, walking at first before running to Bruce’s room to hide.
He goes to family dinner and pretends not to notice the quietness or how Jason is still there, eating his food quietly and waiting for the ball to drop.
Naturally, Damian is the one to say what he wants first, “So why is okay that Tim shot the joker but I got in trouble for stabbing Bane?”
Everyone groans.

Arkham closed after the Joker was killed in his cell. It was years later when locals started seeing ghostly apparitions of clowns in the woods surrounding.
After much debate, Tim Drake was sent alongside John Constantine to investigate.
The voices inside the halls whispered to the Robin about his predecessors and what the Laughing Man had done to them. Making them both killers. The way he broke the second.
Once Red Robin and Constantine had banished the ghost haunting the Asylum, days and weeks came where something off began occurring with Drake.
It was too late before they realized where exactly the Joker's Ghost had gone.

An idea that has been plaguing me head is one with Tim, Jason and Dick all in a warehouse after being kidnapped by the Joker.
Like, Jason and Dick are tied up and Joker has Tim strapped to a table about to electrocuted him to bring back JJ and he thinks it'll be funny to make Jason and Dick watch helplessly as Tim slowly loses his mind (again).
Imagine the pleading that they would do onky to be met with laughter and taunts from the Joker. Possible even punishing Tim for their pleads.
But idk though, I might just be mentally ill.

We need to talk more about Joker Jr. bc that shit was DEVASTATING.
The recovery fic potential that whole incident has that so few people recognize.
More so, Joker Jr. and Red Hood being in the same continuity:
Tim is jumpy in the days following the Joker Jr. incident. He’s easily scared and Bruce can’t leave his side without having someone else there to be with him. He’s still trying to get over the toxins that Joker gave him.
Whenever he’s scared or significantly upset he can’t help it but start laughing. He has laughing fits constantly the first few weeks afterwards and he often cant stop until he ends up passing out. It’s heartbreaking for Bruce and Alfred to listen to the young boy cry while he holds his stomach in pain from laughing so long or cover his mouth in an attempt to stop it.
As the months pass Tim gets control of the laughing fits but they still can happen occasionally if he’s too stressed and upset.
Then he meets Red Hood.
Red Hood is in front of him and Tim knows this is Jason. This is Jason. This is the first Robin that the Joker hurt. This is the Robin that Tim grew up watching the most. This is the Robin that might be able to understand the pain Tim went through. And This Robin seems to want to fight him. This Robin hates him.
So Tim starts laughing.
And Jason, he knows that laugh.
The Replacement is laughing uncontrollably, holding his stomach and crying through it all.
And Jason can’t stomach it, but he can’t look away from the source of a laugh so similar to the laugh of the man that took his life, so he just stares in horror as this sixteen year old just laughs and cries in front of him.
