Hello, Late-Draft! I wasn't expecting this ask at all but I'm so glad to have received it!

First of all—I'll try to hold myself back from giggling like a schoolgirl. I'm having a sempai noticed me moment over here and that's just embarrassing. So give me a second to compose myself, if that's alright?

Okay, I'm back.

Now, on to business.

Character design, especially when it comes to facial features and how they're unique to each person, has always been a passion of mine. I always try to have a solid design for each character. I choose which features feel like the character in question, which face feels natural to draw, and go along with it. I love drawing Katara as much as I love drawing Zuko. Meanwhile, I seem to be on a never-ending battle against Sokka's features. Woes of an artist, I suppose.

Character design is actually one of the reasons I love your work so much, in case you hadn't noticed. I'm currently experimenting a bit with a different style... Hopefully it won't be long before the artwork is done and I can share it over here. I'm so excited for everyone to see it!

Now it's time for the reason we're all here.

I have said it before and shall say it once more: AUs are my lifeblood.

I love them so much! Building them, daydreaming the scenes, thinking of the characters and how they differ from their canon versions. The arcs and the themes and the worldbuilding. Building AUs is my passion, and I have so many of them!

There are a lot of motifs and themes that tend to repeat themselves in several of my AUs, I believe.

You'll notice that most of my stories are Zuko-centric, with a heavy emphasis on grief and humanity. There's the question of what makes us human and how to move forward when the whole world seems to push you back. I put a lot of stock in metaphors and symbolism within the narrative itself. I'm especially interested in the nuance of war and how it affects people emotionally, physically, and psychologically

I also tend to reutilize some elements of the lore and/or worldbuilding! Such as the Painted Lady's backstory, or the existence of War Children within the ATLA universe.

Now, the list!

I think I'll start with my current project, if that's okay :)

For the Spirits (New Gods AU)

Zuko was a child when he met Agni. Then, the spirits started coming to him. Eyes hidden in the hallways, voices pleading for help, for recognition, for remembrance.

Zuko could see Agni. He could see the broken remains of a Great Spirit and the empty smiles of amnesiac ghosts.

And they could see him in return.

I've been working on this AU for a long time, but only now did I get the chance to start writing the fic (linked up there!). I'm extremely excited about FTS and where the story will lead us in the future, but I'll try not to spoil too much.

It's a Zuko-centric story, with a heavy emphasis on Spirits and humanity. I'd like to add a warning for depression/mental health issues.

To Hesitate (Lee & Kya AU)

As she watches Lee and Kya avoid each other's eyes from across the room, the phrase comes back to her, swift and silent:

"To hesitate is to lose."

As Song treats the victim of an unfortunate interaction with a rare poisonous flower, her day takes an unexpected turn when it becomes apparent that the old man's nephew and her assistant have history.

A vivid history.

The Lee & Kya AU is a vibe, a feeling. It's probably one of my oldest AUs out there as well as one of my dearest.

A classical Lee and Kya From The Tea Shop AU, full with wholesome fandom tropes such as: fake (but not really) dating, fake identities, Ba Sing Se shenanigans, vigilante stuff, White Lotus missions, Iroh is a great Uncle, Zuko is an awkward turtleduck, and, of course, the fluffiest fluff you'll ever see.

Other than that, Lee & Kya is probably one of the less plot-focused AUs I have. However, that doesn't mean that there aren't scenes I can't wait to write or a canon divergence or two where Zuko is concerned.

(I have another fic posted but I'll leave that one to the end. You asked for a full story arc and, oh boy, does Soundless deliver.)

Kintsugi AU

Closer to being canon-adjacent than canon-divergent, Kintsugi is yet another Zuko-centric AU (and are we not noticing a pattern over here?).

I'd love to explain it in depth, but I believe the caption of the artwork linked above does a better job at explaining than I ever will.

Kintsugi is the art of decorating your scars with pieces of Agni.

In the Fire Nation, the amount of golden marks are a sign of status. Only the Royal Family can afford to seal every single wound with Kintsugi. Such is the weight of this tradition that, among the ones with Agni's blood, it is the highest mark of dishonor to have a natural scar, for it proves you aren't worthy of the privilege.

After the Agni Kai, Ozai forbid Zuko's scar to be sealed with Kintsugi. The boy wasn't worth his title, his traditions or his pride. Zuko would be broken, but he wouldn't be beautiful. Not anymore.

(And sometimes it's easier to pretend he never was)

Kyoshi Warriors AU

One of my absolute favorites!

In this AU, Ursa took Zuko and Azula with her when she was banished, so they could start anew. With help from Iroh and the White Lotus, she managed to relocate her freshly burned eight-year-old child and her crying daughter to Kyoshi Island.

Years later, when Avatar Aang and his companions first arrive at Kyoshi Island, they're met by the Kyoshi Warriors and their leader, Noriko of pale skin and warm brown eyes.

The Gaang leave Kyoshi Island many weeks later with a new companion. And if Jian Li, with his war paint and his scar and his dual dao, gives the island that he has called home for so long one final, longing glance as they fly away on Appa, they pretend not to notice.

Hunters AU

We're starting to dwelve deep into dangerous waters!

This is a Katara Joins Zuko In His Quest To Find The Avatar AU, with a twist!

This AU was born as a writing experiment. What if we take Katara's character, and change one of her core characteristics? Katara, who looked up to the Avatar as a saviour figure, now blames him for leaving and allowing the Fire Nation to wage war on the world.

Then comes Zuko, a banished Prince with a crew full of traitors and his own agenda. Zuko wishes for nothing more than to dethrone his father and end the war. He is a White Lotus member, an honorable, driven young man, and he has a plan.

The catch? He needs to take the Avatar to his father if he wishes to regain his title and be able to rightfully take the throne. Oh, and he will deliver the Avatar to the Fire Lord—but nobody said it had to be in chains.

Halfblood AU

I watched Blue Eye Samurai a few months ago and it destroyed me. The idea of a half-blooded child dead set on getting revenge for their very existence stuck with me, and this AU was born.

Kanna made a life for herself in the Earth Kingdom after leaving the North. Katara was raised by her grandmother in a small village, being taught to hide her bending if she wanted to live peacefully in a place she was only half of. Her mother had died in childbirth. Her father, a nameless warrior from the Southern Water Tribe who had loved Kya and left her behind, didn't know of Katara's existence.

Katara took over Kanna's clinic after she passed away. Always taking care of others. Always suppressing her need to bend. Always wishing for more.

One day, he arrived. A half-child, just like her. But while she was of Water, he was a son of Agni. He was searching for the man who brought him to this world. The man who scarred him. The man whose face he couldn't recall, whose name he did not know. The man whose specter had chased his mother to her grave. The man who would die at his hand.

The answers were hidden in a small teashop deep within Ba Sing Se. Lee offered her a way out, and Katara took it.

Soundless (Uiscefhuaraithe)

Katara of the Southern Water Tribe has hands scarred by fire and great talent, though no teacher.

Zuko is a mute War Child, a herbalist and healer, and the Blue Spirit. He bears the mark of fire, and the scar of the blade that took away his voice.

The first time they met, the Blue Spirit had just saved her, tough not before her hands got burned. The second time they met, his name was Lee, and he was healing her.

They live in war and they will fight, if not for the world, then for themselves.

You asked for a full storyline, and I shall deliver!

Soundless is probably the only AU I have fully planned. Three-books, Azula redemption arc, role-reversals and all.

This AU has everything. From travelling through the Earth Kingdom together, to odd character team-ups that somehow manage to work, and a major goal/conflict to resolve.

Zuko and Katara must find their way to Omashu in an Earth Kingdom ravaged by war as they also grow to understand each other, themselves, and the world around them. They meet with new and old alliances, keep their ears open for rumors of the Avatar (They say he is an airbender, Lee. Do you truly belive that?), and do their best to always be two steps ahead of their pasts.

Meanwhile, both the Northern and Southern Water Tribes are searching for the runaway heiress, Aang must find his way alone on this new, hostile world, and Azula must face the revelation that, despite what her father has stated for the last two years (liar, he lied at her! Her! He lied he liedliedliedlied), her brother might just be alive.

In honor of world bonobo day here are pota bonobo headcanons for my au‼️‼️

- many of the bonobos of the large bonobo colony originated from either zoos or research facilities, and the latter were fluent in yerkish.

- Sign language isn’t known by most bonobos, as they have always communicated verbally once speech was acquired by them (I imagine before this was discovered they communicated using simple gestures and drawing out yerkish symbols they could remember into the ground).

- Some of the yerkish symbols are remembered in the modern “20s era” as symbols with vague but sacred meanings.

- bonobos and gibbons are considered to be long time allies, stemming from admiration for one another in “ancient times” (aka Caesar’s time) and a shared history of discrimination and persecution by the other ape species

- It was through this close bond that allowed bonobos to also gain the difficult ability of singing far sooner than their non-bonobos counterparts

- Chimps and gorillas that originated from the San Francisco colony (more on this in a separate post the Caesar family drama goes crazy) nearly hunted their kind to extinction before they went into full isolation mode and almost seemed to “disappear” from history for many generations.

- They were found by proximus’ apes and forced into many years of servitude until his untimely death, and they again fled and went into hiding until they began something akin to “mythological creatures” until they felt safe enough to live openly a few decades before the 20s era’s.

- I like to think that the few apes that accidentally encountered often spotted them wading in the water, thus making them believe they were something equivalent to “water nymphs” and non-apes.

- Song and dance is extremely sacred to them and it’s considered a great honor to allow outsiders to join in

- Water is also a deep part of their culture, I love to imagine them being fascinated by mammals that live in/near the water such as beavers, river otters etc.

- They have a less than favorable view of Caesar due to centuries of bad history with chimpanzees and their belief that their personal martyr died as a result of Caesar’s teachings (not entirely true but no side currently knows the full story).

- Bonobos directly inspired the 20s era’s “flapper” look and lifestyle and are unfortunately uncredited for it

- Many 20s era bonobos are French speaking with French based names, this is due to their ancestors learning the language in order to further isolate themselves from other non-bonobo colonies.

- A controversial practice that died out only a few decades before they stopped hiding themselves was the breaking of young females hands in order to strengthen the bones and spirit, not realizing at the time they were in fact only weakening them.

- This practice originated from a very young Lisala’s (I’ve talked a bit about her before, she is meant to loosely pay homage to Lisa and is the martyr worshipped by bonobos) mother shattering her hands with a rock in response to her throwing a tantrum and striking her younger brother.

- A character that hasn’t been introduced to yall yet succeeded in introducing it to Soror City (Francesca Octavia; rumored to be the result of a bonobo/chimp affair and is known for being the “bridge” between the two species’ separate societies)

- Currently in the 20s era, bonobos that live in Soror City often struggle to find sustainable careers due to biases held by other apes who find them “undesirable” to have working for them. As a result many often find work in less than legal and/or socially acceptable ways, such as bushmeat hunting or working in brothels.

- Despite this, they are loved and trusted by apes of the rising queer community who are warmly welcomed by the bonobos in the city.

- Dorothea May is considered to be the first true glimpse of hope in their community, due to her breaking barriers and becoming the first adored bonobo film actress

If you don’t mind questions; would it be okay if I ask about the culture of New Rome/Camp Jupiter in your AU?

I saw you mentioned in one of your one-shots about Jason that he and Dakota hate mortals (or used to in Jason’s case). I know with how outsider-averse New Rome seemed in canon I figured they’d have at least SOME distaste for mortals (especially from old families), but I want to know your thoughts on it! Maybe we could possibly get a story where Dakota meets Sally👀?

If you’re willing, do you have any ideas for the Sea of Monsters quests Jason and Dakota went on? I’m assuming they went after the Golden Fleece, and can only imagine their (or even all of New Rome’s) faces when it’s found out that Percy got to it before them😄. I’m assuming on that quest they found Reyna!

HI! Thank you so much for this ask, I've always wanted to share my New Rome World with someone.

Sorry in advance for my rambling.

Rick gives us so little about new Rome it's crazy! So, I've kinda came up with my own world-building and culture while writing/planning my Jason Grace fics.

New Rome, in my AU, is very cut off from the mortal world, and I know that in the Riordanverse it's the same way, but I mean so cut off from the world outside Oakland Hills and Mortal culture. Any hint of Mortal Culture- or even anything that isn't New Roman is looked at as taboo. You've never handled a weapon before? Look at the time I've gotta go. You don't speak Latin or use Roman Numerals on a regular basis? Oh, sorry my dad said we can't be friends. You don't enjoy the traditional meals but like Takis? Why didn't the Wolves eat you.

In my horridly-named-au there's a lot of racism/bitterness towards mortals, definitely from the Golden families who've lived there since the fall of Rome. Mortals have always been very oblivious towards the gods and mythology going on, but still they tend to put their noses in places they shouldn't be. We see in all of the quests that when this happens, things tend to get sticky for the Demigod in question. And because of how cut off the New Romans are from the Mortal world, just one bad experience in the outside world can shape entire generations of legacies.

Forget openly thinking you'd rather live outside of New Rome.

Most of the time that isn't seen as an issue though, because why would you want to leave? There's an already structured city with schools, apartments, hospitals, restaurants, and everything you need to survive. To raise a family and grow old. While outside of New Rome you're constantly surrounded by the very thing that attracts monsters to you.

Besides after serving the ten years you have too in the military, you know more about the New Roman Way than the Mortals. Everything the Mortals do now is strange. What do you mean they have free time? That they eat pizza for dinner? That's so unhealthy.

I feel like the people in New Rome don't really understand free time and pleasures very much. Even if they're safe and can have those things they're still demigods/legacies. They always have to be at their top game, or they'll die.

Their little understanding of the outside world (plus horribly views towards mortals) leads to racism and jokes towards them.

I have a lot more on New Rome culture but that's the gist of their views of the outside world.

Also, I've been planning a one-shot about Dakota (and some others) meeting Sally!

I've been planning a longer fanfiction about Jason's childhood/ quests leading up to HoO. I want to start publishing by the end of this year, but I want to have a few (maybe ten) chapters written up and edited.

Anyways here's my ideas for the Sea of Monsters Quest with him and dakota (plus whoever else was with them)

They get stranded on one of the islands in the sea of monsters, which is where they find the Maenad rave (another implied thing in the series) They're preteens and awkward and just need help but these maenads... aren't very helpful, so say the least.

They run into Triton at one point, who is a little bitchy and ends up sending them towards Black Beards Stolen Ship, where all the former C C's Island Resort people are captured.

Jason hates what's going on, and jumps on and concidenlly is like 'I'm here to save you. I'm the son of Jupiter' to Reyna while she, Hylla, and Kinzie plan their escape. Reyna doesn't really need Jason and his peoples help, but it'll give her a better advantage, so they all for a plan. She ends us showing off and Jason realizes she has to be a demigod.

That's pretty much all I have for that so far, sorry if that wasn't what you were expecting and rereading it is very messy.

I'm so happy you asked and if you have anymore New Rome questions I'd love to hear them. Also if you have any New Rome headcanons that you don't mind share with me that would be great cuz it's so underrated and I love people who like the Roman Side of the riordanverse.

Current Fictional Hyper Fixations <3

I do not condone fictional depictions in real life unless otherwise specified!!! Do not make fiction something you hate someone over! 😭 It only causes drama and hurts everyone involved.

Now, with that out of the way, let’s begin! After this line-break, the contents will show! You’ve been warned!

Soooooo, I have tons of fictional hyper-fixations, whether it’s with ships, headcanons, general stories, etc., but here are my main!

1. Blue Exorcist / Ao no Exorcist

I love the series mainly because I relate to Rin and some of the other characters in the show. The anime and manga are a little different, but the anime has gotten a 3rd season! I’ve been a fan of this anime for a few years now and it’s still a huge thing I end up thinking about every single day!

2. Danganronpa (the entire series)

I can’t help but enjoy Danganronpa. It gave me a thrill with the mystery and horrors with a unique anime style that I appreciate and admire!

When I first got introduced to the series, it was due to KubzScouts on YouTube doing a playthrough (he did Danganronpa v1, v2, and v3), so I had a good laugh while watching one of my favorite YouTubers play it.

I remember that I was specifically hyper-focused on Nagito (Danganronpa v2) and Nagisa (Ultra Despair Girls). I like crazy boys — that’s just something people will have to get used to from me lol.

3. Gravity Falls

I LOVE Dipper and all the characters from Gravity Falls! The story is amazing and Bill Cipher was EPIC!!!

Must I say more..?

4. FNaF (Rebornica’s AU & FNaF in general)

I enjoy both, but Rebornica’s AU has been in the fandom before canon William Afton and Michael Afton. I remember when it was Mike Schmidt and Vincent Bishop (those were theorized or made-up names, I believe).

I loved Five Nights of Flirting and the original series (even the movies as of recently!)

It’s a lot of fun knowing that I’m in a huge fandom full of so many different people!

(I’m not gonna get into the drama behind Rebornica or his return. I don’t want to. He’s not a good person, but his AU is something I appreciate and love!)

I can't really think of any right now to be honest but I know sometimes I hint at some background stuff in my fics and I'm just like eheheh I am so clever about this. Mostly just little headcanons that aren't necessarily relevant to the main story.

I think Dad For All is quite highly on this list to be honest, I am sooo hyped up about sharing it but at the same time want to do it "properly" aka getting it written before sharing it. So it's a very slow progress. But I still love it so much.

Also, in general, my Before the coffee gets cold fics. Something about this crossover just make me go mad.

17. What highly specific AU do you want to read or write even though you might be the only person to appreciate it?

kdfhgdkfjhgdkjf One fic I really want to read is a Iruma-kun AU where Amelie's dad doesn't ask Iruma and just send him back to the human world after erasing his memory. So on one side you have the demons and the misfit class (especially Azz and Clara) looking everywhere for Iruma, and on the other Iruma who's back to his idea of a normal life and doesn't understand why everything is suddenly so much harder.

I want to read it soooo much. No one has written it, as far as I know, though.

24. Are there any easter eggs in ghost au and if so, what are they?

Probably? Just like many things in life if I don't see it it doesn't exist. I'm pretty sure I got some "ahah *wink wink* I am such a genius" moment, I just can't remember them rip.

I think it was Magic and Mystery by Allegory_for_Hatred

(Dazai is going to Hogwarts—which is crazy because he doesn’t have magic. He has a nullifying ability, for goodness’ sake! Not that it matters. Dazai is still willing to stick around and cause trouble before he gets shipped back home and stuck in his room again.

And this Quirrell guy is definitely up to something. So that’s a good place to start.)

It was a fun read! I did ended up getting attached to that group of characters, and it has a lot of potential concerning follows up.

Double Face as partners in crime

Yessss unhinged Anzu my beloved! You might not be able to fix her but she appreciates you trying because it means you will spend more time with her <3

And omg yes double face! I love pretty much all of their songs, how do they keep doing it?? My favorite is probably Stippling, I don´t know why but it just gives me this really calm and comforting vibe, it´s become some sort of a comfort song for me honestly. I might be biased because Kohaku is one of my favorite characters anyway but he sounds so soft and lovely in that song 🥺

Once again having to out myself as a fake fan because I actually don´t know too much information about double face in particular? I´ve been wanting to read A dark night´s passing for so long now but I´ve just kept putting it off because I´m anticipating that it will probably be pretty angsty? I also really want to read the Valkyrie x Double Face tour event story but I don´t think that one has been fully translated yet so I don´t want to start reading and then be stuck on a cliffhanger :/

But from what I know about them so far, the partners in crime thing sounds very possible! I´ve already talked about Kohaku in his general yandere headcanons and his horrortober oneshot, but he literally would not hesitate killing someone for his darling. He may not like this type of dirty work too much when it was demanded of him due to being part of the branch family but when it´s “for the benefit” of the person he loves? Well, he sure is grateful of all the experiences he´s gathered so far, to say the least

Madara is also someone that would go very far for a loved one, all with a smile on his face that looks more unhinged the longer you look at it. He´s so fiercely protective and he´s just willing to do anything to protect his loved ones, even if it´s reprehensible. He´s already willing to do some messed-up stuff in canon but when he´s a yandere? Yeah he can be for real scary under that cheerful demeanor. Around you he would be very friendly and passionate so you would never even imagine that there are these dark thoughts hidden inside of him. I mean sure, he has his overprotective moments but that´s nothing too bad, right?

Since they´ve gotten closer due to their work as a unit now, they´re also bound to find out about each other´s willingness to do anything for you. I think for Madara it stems moreso from an intense urge to protect you from any possible threat, while Kohaku likes to pretend that´s also his motive even though his true reason probably has a bit more to do with jealousy than he would ever like to admit.

So for that reason, they would be happy to partner up with each other if there was a target that needed to be removed ( in their opinion at least). Though Madara is the older one of the two, I feel like it´s more likely that Kohaku is going to do the actual killing most of the time. He´s been trained to do it quietly and efficently so he´s the safer option if they don´t want to get caught. Madara may serve as a means to get their victim to go to a specific place where Kohaku can ambush them. I mean he seems very friendly and caring to most people so there´s nothing to be afraid of when he leads them into a pretty dark and secluded part in the middle of the night, right?

If he´s especially angry at something their target has done, then Madara might throw some insults their way or throw a few hard punches of his own, but he´s mostly involved with the cover-up and cheering you up if you happened to be close to the person they killed. Kohaku isn´t that good at comforting words so he just kind of sits beside you awkwardly as he pats your back.

Kohaku meanwhile obviously shines when it comes to eliminating the target. He doesn´t feel any kind of remorse while doing it, believing that they deserved their fate. And while he´s usually pretty quick about it, he may sometimes let his emotions get the better of him when he´s especially jealous of today´s victim because they happened to get too close to you for his tastes. Maybe he takes some more time with this person, not striking any vital organs on purpose to draw out their death so they´re able to feel the sort of anguish he goes through when he saw them talking to you so casually.

In the end he´s relieved knowing that he made your life a little easier by getting rid of this troublesome person.

So in a nutshell : There´s a lot of potential here! ^^

Time travel AU: Weeping Angels and Harry Potter

No one will ever see it, probably, but it's 5 a.m. somewhere, and I'm fandom crazy 🤷🏼‍♀️

So, I really love time-travel AU in almost any form and flavor, but being as obsessed with Marauders as I’m, you can imagine my favorite setting for such AU🐺🐶🦌🐭

I also live by Doctor Who 👨‍⚕️❓ — it's something about charismatic British (wo)men, you know — so it should give context for how this idea came to me.

Anyway, the idea itself. Weeping Angels 🗽 in Harry Potter universe. I consider Weeping angels to be one of THE BEST creations in fictional universe, and I believe the potential for their use is infinite.

Imagine a Main Character (up to you which one: canon characters, OC all the way, or I also really like to interconnect Marauders era and The next generation aka the kids). Imagine Hogwarts defenses get triggered; no one is found, everyone thinks it's false alarm or some ghost/boggart/something harmless, and no one notices an extra statue in the halls. Imagine people start missing. Imagine your character just walking the halls and noticing over time that statues change, that there's more of them. Imagine your MC not being quick enough one day, so an Angel gets them. Imagine them appearing in the same hall in 1970s. Imagine drama and angst, and romance, and found family (maybe even literal one, depending on the character). Imagine opportunities for plots and ships.

I love the idea that MC would  go to Potters or Blacks for help and protection, depending on who they are.

(And I get it, Blacks do not seem to be a logical choice, but I imagine MC going to Arcturus and Melania Black (aka Lord & Lady of Black), and being like: 'I'm f*cking Black, I'm stuck in the past, Angels are evil, so you will help me, or Morgana help me!'. Something similar with Potters, but much more cordial and wholesome)

MC becoming part of the family and sibling to one of the Marauders. Them coming to Hogwarts and integrating in. Living, breathing, learning, making friends and falling in love.

Also, MC not telling the truth to Marauders until much later or at all, and the only person that they would trust with the truth aside the family is McGonagall (let's be honest. this Queen✨ would be objectively the only one to handle such shit, with grace)

Imagine MC starting to become part of history, maybe trying to change it, but maybe ending up only causing it to happen. Imagine them starting to suspect that Angels were not so random in the first place. Imagine an Angel appearing in the 1970s...

As I said, potential is infinite. There may be more time jumps, there may be time loops, there may be evil plans and strategies, there may be even the Doctor themself (multiverse IS real, after all).

To conclude:

No one will ever see it, probably, but if YOU did, and have read it all trough, then it must be either 5 a.m. at yours or you're fandom crazy ❤️‍🔥. The Weeping Angels are an extremely powerful species of quantum-locked humanoids, meaning they cannot move if they are being watched. They got their name because of their need to cover their faces to avoid trapping each other in stone-state. They are known for being "kind" murderous psychopaths, eradicating their victims "mercifully" by dropping them into the past and letting them live out their full lives, just in a different time period. This, in turn, allows them to live off the remaining time energy of the victim's life.

Just want to put together some shikatema fics that I enjoyed. I love going through others’ lists so maybe mine will be useful for someone too.

1. 4,572 days later by therewithasmile (post Naruto, adult shikatema+shikadai, pure bliss)

2. everyone knows its windy by therewithasmile (somewhere before Boruto)

These are drabble collections that mostly fill in the holes in canon, though there’re several one shots inside which bring you only angst and no happy ending. I strongly recommend checking out other author’s works (dare and Revelations especially) even though they’re pretty much modern AU - I don’t like this trope in general, but the characterization is so on spot that I adopted it as my headcanon.

3. Here goes The Nara family series by SpicedGold. Lots of fun situations and interactions between the Naras and the Sand Siblings, Kankurou and Garaa made a great uncles and Shinki is just a cherry on top. Honestly, I like Shikadai|Shinki relationship more than shikatema here.

4. And She Would Wait by Brianag (during Naruto, very old fic). Absolutely adore the way Temari watched Shikamaru become a man and shinobi. Also her and Asuma sharing common concern for Shikamaru was a thing I didn’t know I needed.

5. To Find a Home by Kimiz (in-between Naruto and Boruto). Temari gets accustomed to living in Konoha. Very introspective.

6. Front Door by Kimiz (in-between Naruto and Boruto). Shikamaru knows her mood just by how she shuts the door. Sweet family piece.

7. Sometimes Always by number18 (during Naruto). First person Shikamaru, extremely sensual.

8. Shade after shade by Pink Colour (AU, but still Naruto-verse). Temari centric. For those who believe that Temari belongs in Suna only.

9. Recent Photo and Twitterpated by PSITeleport (AU, but still Naruto-verse). Good funny one shots. Especially like Twitterpated for the first kiss and Shikamaru in denial.

10. Dear Kishimoto You Can Bite Me by PSITeleport (AU, but still Naruto-verse). A crazy story with Hidan, the plot came kinda out of nowhere but was thrilling nonetheless.

klance x pirates of the caribbean

bc apparently when i'm upset i listen to newsies live and think up weird klance aus

in my head this could go one of two ways:

keith and lance as will and elizabeth

keith and lance as jack and will (i'll explain later)

a lot more under the cut bc i got a bit carried away...

if it follows the canon love story i picture lance as will and keith as elizabeth. (i could see it the other way around bc keith could be the orphan pirate boy but i’ve written too much to go back now).

when they were young, keith was on a ship with his father and he spots lance on a piece of driftwood. they save him ofc and keith spots a jewel necklace around lance's neck. he takes it and later has it fused in the hilt of his mother's knife that is now his.

keith hates being the governor's son with a passion. he hates the formality of it and how restrictive it is. lance is the weaponsmaster's apprentice (that's how he gets good with a gun) and he is always under appreciated! give this guy some recignition!

anyway, he has been silently pining for keith for ages. little does he know, keith kind of likes him too. a lot of mutual pining has been going on for longer than either can recall.

anyhoo, pirates invade the town and kidnap keith. he puts up a fight but in the end he's outnumbered and taken aboard the ship as leverage. he says his surname is mcclain bc it's on his mind. wink wonk. captain of the evil pirates is zarkon and when the pirates who kidnapped keith hand him the knife he realises it is the jewel that can break their spell. since keith uses lance's surname, he also thinks it is keith's blood they need to finish the ritual since lance's family are the one's who sent the jewel away with lance. but it's not. obvs.

lance, after saving a baby, watches keith get taken in horror and tries to call out but is knocked out before he can act. once he's awake he hears that there's a pirate who was caught in the dungeon. that's allura. yes, eccentric captain allura is a choice i am making.

lance manages to break her out of jail, thinking she is one of the evil pirates and he can persuade her to help him. she is not but decides to help him anyway in an attempt to retrieve her ship 'the voltron' from zarkon. the two of them go off on a quest to save keith.

meanwhile, hunk and pidge are guarding keith. they are new recruits to zarkon's crew after their other crew threw pidge out when they discovered she was a girl (silly pirate superstitions). hunk went with her. they are easily persuaded to help keith bc zarkon's a meanie and promise that they'll help him out when they make it to land.

lance and allura arrive on an island and find coran who is allura's closest friend and ally. shiro is also there. he has a peg arm (is that a thing? idk it's a weird mechanism but it does the trick). coran explains that the ship keith is on is cursed and they will be going to the mysterious isle of daibazaal to break the curse.

they get there and watch zarkon attempt to break the curse using the jewel (which he pried out of the blade) and keith's blood. nah, it don't work. they still turn into creepy looking skeletons in the moonlight. damn. he threatens keith and then all hell breaks loose bc lance shoots him. it would have definitely killed zarkon but he can't die bc... the whole undead thing, and in doing so all lance does is reveal their position. they fight a bit, as you do. keith gets hold of a sword and kills three evil pirates in about five seconds. lance falls a little bit in love with him.

in the midst of the battle, lance makes a deal with zarkon that he will stay if keith and the others can go (this now includes hunk and pidge bc they helped keith get free). lance is stripped of visible weapons and zarkon agrees to break the curse immediately. lance cuts his hand and drops the jewel into the chest.

then he grabs keith's jewel-less knife from where it lies beside the chest. zarkon, distracted, doesn't notice until the blade is buried in his gut. he dies. keith and the rest act immediately and kill any other pirates who don't surrender. keith kills an evil pirate about to shoot lance.

they return keith in exchange for allura, coran, shiro, pidge, hunk and lance's pardon. keith expresses his wish not to be governor in the future and allura invites them on 'the voltron' ship with her since she reclaimed it from zarkon. keith and lance then have a moment where they thank each other for saving each other's life. keith thanks lance for coming after him and lance confesses. it's all very sappy and they kiss for ages.

OR

lance is still will. i stand by everything i said about him in the previous version. his parents caused the curse to endure and sent him off. but instead of keith finding him, it's allura. she's the governor's (in this case, alfor's) daughter. she takes the jewel and keeps it as a necklace. lance and allura are more like besties but they're not really allowed to see each other because of their differing classes.

keith arrives and escapes the navy. hides in weaponsmaster’s shop. lance tries to fight him but he’s not as good with a sword as he is with a gun. lots of sassy banter where lance is tryna be noble and keith doesn’t care for it.

anyway, we sort of know what happens. allura gets kidnapped and uses lance's surname bc they had a conversation beforehand. lance stresses, hears about a pirate they captured, assumes it's one of the evil ones he can persuade to help him.

but instead he gets keith who he met earlier. in the time they’ve been apart he’s got himself landed in the dungeon. and he’s notoriously one of the most stubborn, grumy pirate captains in all the seven seas.

he's overall unimpressed with lance as a person and with his plan, only agreeing when he realises he might be able to get his ship, this time called 'the red lion', back. lance decides he's going to prove himself to keith. he doesn't know why he's so offended by a pirate's opinion but he just is. hmmm...

they pick up shiro and coran, pidge and hunk promise to help allura out yada yada yada and they start making their way towards the island.

they run into lotor and his crew (acxa, ezor, zethrid etc) who are unrelated to zarkon and that whole... thing but they're your typical pirates and they want their stuff. which is annoying af bc allura is missing and they have somewhere to be thank you very much.

they put up a good fight. lance has plenty of opportunities to impress keith with his pistol skills. consider keith very impressed and mildly enamoured. but he doesn't do feelings so he stuffs them down inside him as you do. they win and move on. afterwards keith asks lance where he learned those moves and lance tells him stories of his time in the weaponsmaster's workshop. they bond.

they get to the island and find allura. they fight and keith and lance save each other's backs too many times to count. lance has a revelation (inconveniently mid battle) that he actually really likes this. this is fun. this is exciting.

then keith fucks up. he says that he'll hand lance over if zarkon gives him his ship back. lance is fucking fuming and feeling very betrayed and hurt bc he actually felt like he was getting somewhere with keith. keith gets what he deserves though bc zarkon dumps him and allura on an island and takes lance away.

while they're on the island allura knocks some sense into him regarding his life generally and lance specifically. she tells him loads of cute lance-as-a-teenager stories and keith feels awful. he helps her light a signal fire using some rum he has on his person.

they spot the ship alfor sent to find allura. they persuade them to go to where lance and the rest of the crew is. keith tries to act like he's on zarkon's side when they get back to the cave and then he takes one of the cursed jewels so he's now immortal. aha! while this is happening allura has infiltrated zarkon's ship, 'the red lion', so shiro, coran, pidge and hunk can be freed.

allura then frees lance from where they were keeping him in the hull. lance runs to where keith is. they share a look. keith cuts his hand and throws the jewel to lance who does the same and drops it into the water. the curse is broken. keith goes to grab zarkon's sword so he can kill him but zarkon grabs him by the throat. lance shoots zarkon in the side before keith can pass out. he runs to keith who has collapsed. keith apologises and thanks him and promises not to betray him again. lance laughs, says he better not and helps him up.

they return allura safely in exchange for their pardon. keith asks lance to join the crew of 'the red lion' and gives him loads of reasons that are really just disguised compliments. safe to say lance kisses him senseless and they run away together, sailing off into the sunset. bc. klance. there's got to be a sunset somewhere.

Yet another au that’s been rolling around my head for a while that ended up turning into a little something more. A continuation of my non-human jaskier headcanons, featuring a jaskier who somehow managed to acquire magic post-mountain.

He was a completely normal human up until he and Geralt separated after the mountain

While he was traveling on his own Jaskier was attacked by bandits and critically injured, left to die in the woods

Right before he was about to bleed out, an old witch stumbled upon him in the woods 

She took him back with her to her cottage and healed him

Jaskier was very very very confused when he woke up in bed in yet another unfamiliar face

He was even less enthused when he discovered he had woken up with yet another witch in his general vicinity (he had had enough 0f witches for a LIFETIME)

The bard had a few frantic minutes where he tried to plan his escape, most of that plan included him just screaming and running away as fast as he could

Jaskier was shocked then when the witch introduced herself as Elena, a witch who had lived in the forest alone for decades often helping local villagers and wounded travelers

She tells him how she had stumbled upon him in the woods and seen how gravely injured he was

Elena had not brought anyone back to her home in years, but she had sensed something in him and knew she had to bring him with her

They talk for hours over tea after Elena changes his bandages, and Elena is quickly charmed by Jaskier

The bard finds himself spilling out secrets and feelings he had never planned on sharing with anyone, about his awful family, his unrequited love for Geralt, Yennefer, and what happened on the mountain

Elena comforts Jaskier and feels a fierce protectiveness for the bard that astounds her

The witch can tell her magic has made a special bond to the bard

Jaskier enjoys Elena’s company so much that he stays with her at the cottage long after he is healed

She teaches him everything there is to know about healing, about witchcraft and potion making, about the herbs to gather, and all the flowers in the forest

Elena lets Jaskier pour over her old spellbooks, finding his fascination and curiosity with old magic hopelessly endearing

Jaskier finds a parental figure in Elena that he never had with anyone else

One day Elena tells him of a ritual she had been researching for ages, where a magic user could divert part of their magic to another person

She tells him that she has come to view him as her own child, and it is very important that he has some way to project himself other than his daggers (also the immortality would be an exceptional bonus)

Jaskier agrees, and on the next full moon they execute the ritual

The bard collapses, and sleeps for two weeks, and when he awakens he is overjoyed to find the ritual has worked

Cue immeasurable shenanigans with magic user Jaskier, because the bard is competent but also crazy, and does not understand how to reign in the great power he has suddenly been granted

He sneezes and an entire field of buttercups and dandelions grow

Jaskier gets too excited and everything in the cottage flies into the air

Sometimes when he laughs too hard the colors of his doublet change

Once when he was angry at a traveler who spit at Elena’s feet a chasm opened up in the middle of the road and almost swallowed the man whole

It takes months of hard work with Elena, but Jaskier finally begins to get a better grasp of his powers

It is at this time that he begins to hear word of Nilfgaard moving farther and farther north

Jaskier also hears whispers of soldiers searching for the Lion Cub of Cintra, a Witcher, and a purple eyed witch. He is even more surprised when there is also mention of the witcher’s bard

The next time he goes into down for supplies for him and Elena, he hears word of a white haired witcher who passed through asking for word of a bard

Jaskier knows then what he has to do

Nilfgaard is after him as well, and if they are after him Elena is at risk, and he can’t stand his dear friend getting hurt

Also, for some reason Geralt is searching for him as well instead of getting the hell away from Nilfgaard and knowing the witcher’s stubbornness, he won’t stop until he is found

He packs a bag and says his goodbyes to Elena, promising to come back as soon as possible and making her promise to stay safe

Jaskier spends a week tracking down Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri, who have thankfully moved further north

The bard is so close to the trio, only a half mile away, he can sense it, when he is attacked by two griffins protecting a nearby nest

The Jaskier of before the mountain would probably have been a dead man, he would have screamed and tried to run away

The Jaskier of now is different, he is powerful, he has learned to defend himself and he does it with fierceness and grace

The bard sets his shoulders, and turns a steady gaze towards the shrieking set of griffins

He takes a deep breath and cracks his knuckles

The power is building up inside his chest and he takes the lessons he has learned from Elena is these past few months and puts them to good use, letting the power flow through his chest, down his arms, and twist around his fingers 

Taking down the griffins is effortless, swift and strong, and when he is finished there is only a heap of feathers on the forest floor

Behind him a small gasp sounds out, and Jaskier whips his head around to see three figures standing in shock several meters away

The gasp clearly came from Ciri, small and blond and smudged with dirt from the road

Geralt stands beside her, his hand halfway through pulling out his sword and stuck in place where he had clearly begun to go and assist Jaskier. His face is furrowed in deep confusion and Jaskier barely keeps himself from laughing at the befuddled look

Yennefer is calculating, staring at the bard as if she had never seen him before, even as a smirk starts to overtake her face

Staring at the three of them Jaskier resists the urge to freeze in place, he is a performer, the least he could do is keep up an act on nonchalance

He forces himself to relax his body, fulling turning around and wiping pretend dirt from his hands 

The bard knows he looks immaculate in a sapphire blue doublet, not a hair out of place

He forces a smile on his face as he raises a hand in greeting

“Hello! I heard you were looking for me, thought I’d make it a bit easier but things never go without error” He waves dismissively at the pile of feathers behind him, “but as you can see, I took care of it!” 

Jaskier can practically see a vein threatening to burst through Geralt’s forehead as he struggles to reconcile the image of Jaskier the helpness bard with the Jaskier who just took down two griffins with a powerful display of magic

He opens and closes his mouth several times, and Jaskier takes a moment to ruminate on how much he looks like a fish

Eventually Geralt wins the battle with words, but it's clearly not a very glorious victory because all that comes out of his mouth is “How?”

Jaskier beams. He knows there is much to be said between them, words to spoken, an apology to be delivered, boundaries to be set, but right now he is just so happy to be back with his witcher that he places that all temporarily behind him

“Magic of course, Geralt, though that is a very long story that we should maybe cover elsewhere because I’m not sure if you heard, but the entirety of Nilfgaard seems to be after our heads. We don’t have the luxury to dawdle”

Jaskier scoops up his pack and his lute and strolls forward

When he comes to a stop Yennfer meets his eyes, a mischievous glint growing back the second

🌵 What is your favorite kind of fan fiction to read?

When i first got into attack on titan, the manga was at chapter 138, so it was already so crazy, but even though the story was that far ahead I was still really caught up with levihan’s relationship and the vets so I’d have to go with canon-compliant pre-canon times. I love anything and everything focused on the vets.

Later, I discovered AUs, and I loved them since. I eventually exclusively read those alone when I started writing my own canon-related fics. I consciously tried to avoid canon related fics (which is a bummer because it’s my fave genre ever) so as not to get my already formed ideas mixed up, like, I wouldn’t want to redo my drafts because I coincidentally shared a headcanon with someone. For me, it’s just better to be in good faith if I were ever to have the same ideas hehe I just have this irrational fear getting called out for copying someone’s work tbh

🌹 What is your favorite kind of fan fiction to write?

Definitely Canon compliant/ pre-canon/ post canon fix it fics. But generally speaking, what I really like is making up plot twists, yep a story with an unpredictable end is my fave kind (not much to show for this yet since everything’s still in my drafts 🥲)

Deltarune Chapter 2 Had Out Awesome Undertale

on September 21, 2021 I beat Chapter 2 of Deltarune.

(also possible spoilers in this, so please only read this if you have beaten Chapter 2 of Deltarune.) 

it took me maybe a few days, but I finally got around to beating it. I hope no one take this the wrong way, but I think that Deltarune Chapter 2 has out-awesomed Undertale,

I still love Undertale but Deltarune's Chapter 2 is very....epic. (well I think is, and it's okay that not everyone agrees that it is more epic than Undertale.)

sure I had a little trouble here and there, but it turned out to be really fun and I do plan to play Chapter 2 again.

but starting with Chapter 1 first then working up to Chapter 2.

I'm glad I was able to play it, it seems you have to beat Deltarune-Chapter 1 first before you can play the Deltarune Chapter 1&2.

yes at first because I wasn't able to play the Chapter 2 at first, I decided to watch a walkthrough of it.....which I was only able to watch the next day.

but playing it myself was more fun and it really was awesome, it might take a few years (maybe either two or three.) until Chapter 3 comes out,

but it will be worth the wait.

don't know who Mike is though, unless it's Mike from FNAF lol......

can't be the Mike in the Undertale's Credits....must be a different Mike.  

maybe we will learn more about Mike from Deltarune in the future.

also I can't help but think that Kris might be the Knight, and they have this dark side to them and the one that Susie is truly making friends with

is the Player, who is the new "Kris" and keeping the Old-Kris's dark side in check so they don't do anything too dangerous....maybe?

I believe I know why I am not able to play Undertale Fan Game, Kissy Cutie.

it might have to do with it being how I couldn't play Deltarune Chapter 1&2, until I beat Deltarune Chapter 1 in the original.

it was a new save in the original, so it was good that beat that and then tried to open up the Deltarune Chapter 1&2 again.

and to my surprise the game started to play without that blue pop-up message.

I'm not sure if it is right, that the Kissy Cutie game will start to play normal after you beat the Undertale and get the happy ending.

but I guess I could try to see if that works.

I need to say this about Noelle from Deltarune..........

the whole Yandere-Noelle might be canon.....

just like how the Pie that Kris eats is canon, so must be the Yandere-Noelle.

also I think Catti either loves Noelle as just a friend or she might have a crush on her and sees Susie as a rival.

my headcanon is that Catti has a crush on Noelle and she sees Susie as her rival.

I don't know how many players have scooted Lancer to the table after he got turned to stone....

I do not know if Lancer ate the spaghetti or not, but I know when I did go back to that room (before facing Queen)......

the spaghetti was gone, and the stone Lancer was still at the table too.

there is a reason why I think Yandere-Noelle is canon......but maybe not as deadly.....unless we end up going down a Geno-Route.

I really hope to go down the Weird Route, Weird Route For Life.

Weirdness Is Magic!

I plan to play the Deltarune Chapter 1 & 2 version from the very beginning,

and work my way back to Chapter 2.

also while playing Undertale, I got this theory that pop into my head

that the two figures that Frisk and Alphys see when they are about ready to go face Mettaton.

my theory is that the two shadow figures they first see, aren’t the monsters that Frisk faces....

but it turning out to be Kris and Susie, who’s adventure might be in the Undertale Chapter of Deltarune......I guess that theory might be a bit crazy

and it is not likely to happen.

but I think there could be a possibility of Undertale appearing in Deltarune,

as a future Chapter, and there being a side story within the Undertale Chapter within Deltarune, and in the Undertale Chapter we do not have control of Frisk.

but we still hold some control over Kris, and it could turn out that in the Undertale Chapter, Frisk is on their Geno-Run and this time it isn’t the Player that is making them do it.....because in that Chapter we aren’t in control of Frisk and Chara isn’t either.

I do have a theory that the Red Soul in Frisk, is NOT Chara or even Frisk.

the Red Soul powering the underground that you can find in the True Lab when you are turning on the power on that generator thing.

if you look closely you will see there is a red type heart in the middle,

which might be Chara’s Soul, and if we do a Geno-Run in might be possible that Chara’s Soul will find a way to talk to us by some form of Soul Telepathic Link.

Chara ending up appearing in Frisk’s mind and speaking to us through the dark mind space in Frisk’s mind.

and the Red Soul that is seen in the Undertale game, the one that can be seen in the fights.......was never Frisk’s Soul.

the Red Soul is the Player, this means that the Red Soul in Deltarune

is also the Red Soul from Undertale and they are both the Players.

if this is true that would mean without the players,

Frisk in the canon of Undertale, is Soulless.

if we think about it, Frisk would have their own Soul in the Fanon AU.

it might be possible that Kris, when not having the Red Soul/Player’s Soul in them.

they are not as they appear to be, yes they could come off as a bit mischievous.

like with the whole eating all the pie

but what if there is a more darker side to Kris, and what if it turned out there was another Soul controlling Kris and they are the ones that rip out our Soul out from Kris?

remember what Asriel said before in Undertale,

when both he and Chara shared a body, the control over the body was split between them.   

it’s possible that Kris has more than one soul in them,

one being their own, the second being the one who acts as a villain,

and the third being us the players.

and if we decide to kill any one in the Deltarune Chapters

(or at least try to....)

then that might give the second soul controlling Kris even more control.

or not.....it could be that Kris only has two souls in them,

their soul and the Player’s soul.

I do have a theory that Kris might be the Knight,

well either them or Papyrus or Gaster or Asriel.

anyone of those four could be the Knight.

but the top suspect of being the Knight now, is Kris.

and this is thanks to what I have seen in Chapter 2,

both watching the walkthrough and even playing it myself.

it might be possible when we do take over Kris’s body,

we end up freeing Kris from another soul that might be the Knight.

it be interesting if when the choices pop up,

they come in two different colors to show which ones is what the Player would pick or Kris would pick.

the Player could end up choosing to pick what Kris wants,

or the Player could end up picking the the choice that isn’t the color that shows to be what Kris would want.

the color of the choices would be a Turquoise (Kris)

and Red (Player)

depending on the Player, we could choose to go with just the red color choices

or the turquoise color choices, if we choose the turquoise color choices

it can mean we value Kris’s opinion and want to show that their choices matter.

it be interesting if they add that in a future chapter.

for some reason Queen reminds me of White Diamond.

I do have a theory about Susie,

that either one she is a orphan or two she comes from a abusive home

and one or both of her parents might treat her badly.

and she let’s out her anger by bullying others

and the reason why she eats chalk and the other stuff she shouldn’t.

is because she isn’t getting enough to eat at home and might be malnourished.

Susie might also not be only child, she might be a older sister or younger sister.

and her bond with Lancer, taking up the Big Sister Role to him.

might show she has a Protective Big Sister side to her.

it might be possible that she gives half of her food to her younger sibling

and Susie doesn’t eat much at home because of how her parents treat both her and her little sibling.

if it is true that Susie has a younger sibling, it might be possible that Susie’s younger sibling is in Toriel’s class.

and given some info in the Chapter 2,

we might know the bio-gender of Susie’s sibling.

which if you read what I wrote on top about not reading this unless you beaten Chapter 2....

I can say now, that it is possible that Susie might have a little sister.

and the little sister might be in Toriel’s class.

I did do a drawing of what I think Susie’s little sister might look like.

as well as what Susie’s Mom might look like too.

but I don’t want to post them just yet.

it be cute if Susie’s little sister appeared in a future chapter

and once meeting Noelle, Berdly and Kris.

the little sister tells them “you can’t have my big sis! big sis is mine!”

of course Noelle might find this really precious, maybe it will remind her how much she loved her older sister when she was Susie’s little sister’s age.

speaking of Noelle’s sister, I did draw up a ship drawing between her and Deltarune’s Asriel.

if both the Holiday and Dreemurr families are both Boss Monsters

then I hope they reveal that in a future chapter.

it might be possible that both the Dreemurr and Holiday families

come from a Royal heritage,

if this is true that would make Noelle technically a Princess.  

I’m calling Fan Headcanon on that theory.

also it is pretty obvious that Yandere Noelle is canon.

because of what we see in Chapter 2.

it might be possible that Kris has three souls in them,

one being theirs, the other being the Player and the other being possibly the Knight.

Kris’s true soul might be Turquoise blue type color.

what trait a Turquoise Soul is, well maybe it will be hinted in the game.

I really love Chapter 2 of Deltarune, and I know that Chapter 3 will be worth the wait.

and if Sans was hinting in Chapter 2 about Chapter 3, we might see it in a few years....then again I could be wrong about Sans hinting.

sadly we didn’t get to meet Papyrus in Chapter 2,

but we just have to be patient.   

I think that besides the Players choices mattering in the game,

I think Kris’s choices should matter too.

so when the choices do pop up, they should come in Red for the Player

and Turquoise for Kris.

if we choose the turquoise color choices, it is still gonna be Kris’s choice

as it shows we are picking what Kris wants.

it be interesting if that happens.

also I would still like to know who Mike is that is mention in Chapter 2.

it might not be the one that is in the credits, so it has to be a different Mike all together, but who they are is unknown.

I hope some of you agree that the choices of the Player and Kris,

should be in Red and Turquoise.

we might be the Red Soul in both Undertale and Deltarune,

but we should try to look at it being in a symbiotic relationship.

where we make sure to keep Kris and their friends safe,

and try to fight off the other soul that had control of them before we came into their lives in Chapter 1.

also it might be possible that while both Undertale and Deltarune are two different timelines and AUs of each other.

it could be possible that before the start of those two games,

one could travel between if he machine that allowed it was turned on.

the Sans from Deltarune, might of came from a non-stop Geno Route Timeline

and had no other choice but to take both himself, his brother and other survivors to the Deltarune Timeline where they would be safe from Frisk.

I and a lot of other fans might believe this to be canon, and it would make sense given the evidence of the former Grilby’s turned into convenience store.

like what if in a future Chapter that is called “Undertale: Geno-Route”

it shows the world that Sans and his brother came from

and Sans ends up telling Kris, Susie and the others that he had to leave because it was becoming too dangerous and he didn’t want to watch his brother die again by the hands of the human named Frisk.

the Frisk that we the Players make to be more innocent and being full of love.

might be different from the Frisk that is in the canon of the game

and who knows how Frisk was before we the Player’s taken control of them.

but we do know that the Red Soul in Deltarune, could be the same one in Undertale, which would mean that we the Players are the Red Soul.

and while Kris could of had their own Turquoise Soul before we came into the picture.

and Chara could have the same color Red Soul as the Player,

which is being used to power the underground.

it could turn out that Frisk in the canon of Undertale,

is Soulless and is only given a Soul that belongs to the Player....

so Flowey might be right about Frisk’s Soul not being theirs.

I am glad I finally figured out why I couldn’t seem to play Deltarune Chapter 1&2 at first, it had to do with not beating the new save I had that had to do with the first Deltarune Chapter 1 before the version that had Chapters 1 and 2 came out.

if you beat the first version, then when you click on the new Deltarune Chapters 1&2, the blue popup message wont show up and the game will run normally.

so it’s best to keep the original Deltarune download.

Will this be the beginning of a new multiverse? Add-on: Frigga having this vision was just meant to be a one shot that would connect many different alternative stories, all with the 'what if Frigga did something for Loki' as a common base. All of them would be Frostiron 'cause I honestly believe they are just meant for one another! It is just so open to so many possibilities... That I never got to writing any of them.

One of the first ideas I had following this concept was of Frigga introducing Tony and Loki early on somehow: as kids they would be like 'imaginary friends' then Tony manages to contact him and they are webcam buds... As young adults, they would help each other go a different path than they did in other lives.... and when Loki needed help, he had allies to back him. (The Avengers, whom Tony may have introduced to him earlier)

So he takes control over Loki's apartment hacking its system; he starts with some flickering lights, the roomba changing suddenly trajectory to stab him, then blasting music in the middle of the night and so on.And Loki would be so frustrated: at the beginning he thinks about some failure in the inferior midgardian technology, then he'll think to be under attack, but he can't feel any magic signature!! Maybe he'll freak out a little, because there is some kind of unknown entity??? ((And while he may be using all the technology without problems, it doesn't mean he fully understands its working)).Tony will have fun, but he also will discover some cute aspects of Loki's personality, like he sings to his plants and he likes to wear fuzzy socks ((ok it sounds voyeuristic, but Tony would respect part Loki's privacy, maybe he'll spy on him only when in the living room or kitchen)).((And maybe he would help Loki as well? Like, the godling had a nightmare after falling asleep on the couch, and Tony would gently woke him up with music))Loki will eventually understand that Stark, the most clever midgardian, was behind all of this, and well, he's the God of Mischief, he can appreciate a well planned trick. Time to return the favor ;)

Behind the Scenes of Fic Writing: 30 Questions for Authors

What was the first fandom and/or pairing that you wrote fic for?

Hinny, all the way! It wasn’t good, but it was Hinny.

Do you participate in any writing events or challenges throughout the year? If so, what do you like about them?

I tend to participate in them semi-often on SIYE. I find them a good way to get some creative juices flowing with a topic or subject I wouldn’t have thought about on my own. 

Do you write fics from start or finish, or jump around?

I go chapter by chapter. I would confuse myself too much if I started writing chapter 5 but then headed over to chapter 12. Also, I kinda don’t plan everything that far ahead. Which I’ll explain more in the next question lol

Do you outline before you start writing? If so, how far do you stray from that outline?

I do a quick overall base of what I want to do, who the enemies are, important moments I really want to happen, but I never do a full outline. A lot of the time I will have something planned for 5 chapters in the future, but no idea how to get there. I let inspiration strike me and go from there. 

What is the perfect environment for you to write in?

A hot cup of tea, music playing softly in the background, and an empty house. It’s perfect when everything is quiet except for my music and my mechanical keyboard.  

If you’re really concentrating, how many words can you write in a day?

Hmmm. I’ve never tested myself but I think the most I’ve ever done is 10,000 in one day. I wrote two chapters of “Only the Best” in one day and I aimed to make every chapter in that story at least 5,000 words. So I’d guess around 10,000. 

Which part of writing do you struggle with most?

Editing. I hate re-reading my work only looking for flaws. If I were to re-read my work I’d want it to be for enjoyment and nostalgia, but alas in order to find enjoyment in the writing it needs to be edited well lol. 

Do you listen to music while you write? If so, share a song that’s been inspiring you lately.

There is this live version of Can’t Go on Without You by KALEO that I love. Actually I’m listening to it right now. I listen to it at least once when I’m writing. 

Do you prefer to write AUs, canon divergence, or canon-compliant fic?

AU”s all the way! I love taking a different world than the original and trying to fit everything into this different situation. I love Muggle AU’s the best for some reason.  

Do you enjoy writing dialogue, exposition, or plot the most?

Dialogue is so much fun. Trying to come up with a witty comeback or heartwrenching final line is so intense and interesting. 

If you could only write angst, fluff, or smut for the rest of your life, which would it be?

I love me some fluff. Like sometimes I go out with every intention on making things angst, and then they turn int fluff lol.

Is there a trope you haven’t written yet but really want to?

I don’t think I’ve done a “forced to share a bed” fic and that could be fun

Is there a trope you wouldn’t write if it was the last trope on earth?

Does slow burn count as a trope? I just can’t handle waiting so long for my ship together lol

If you were stuck on a desert island with only two characters, which would you pick?

Ginny Weasley and Hermione. Hermione because she could get us off the island somehow, and Ginny because she and I would have a great time cracking jokes while we helped Hermione. 

A Hollywood producer tells you that they want to film just one of your fics. Which fic would you want it to be?

Hmmm. I think I would dig a film of Doom Days or Covert Love. Both have everything needed for a movie. Action, romance, and twists you don’t see coming lol.

What is your most underrated fic?

I wouldn’t say I have any underrated fics because they always are so much better received than I ever intend… that being said, I would love if more people read Doom Days

What fic are you most proud of?

This goes back to the last question. I spent so long planning and plotting Doom Days and I am extremely happy with the way it’s come out. 

What is a line/scene you’re really proud of? Give us the DVD commentary for that scene.

Well because I don’t want to give to much away I’ll show off this once part. 

His lips curled with forced levity. 

I love the word levity and I really wanted to use it and then I thought about how when I’m making a bad joke in a bad moment I always smile to make people understand how I truly feel. Such a simple sentence brought me so much pride.

Who is the easiest/hardest character for you to write about? Why?

I find that I struggle with Hermione. She’s so much more… straight edge than I tend to focus on, so I have a hard time adding her into stories because I’m afraid I won’t do her justice. 

What’s your favorite minor character you’ve written?

Right now it’s Prue from Covert Love. She is my own created character and I’ve had so much fun crafting this backstory that revolves around.... Things I wouldn’t talk about here ;)

What is the one fic that got away?

It hasn’t gotten away yet! I can still write it…. But when I was on a volcano in Spain I saw an adorable meet-cute and I really wanna make it a Hinny meet-cute. I just need to dedicate time… which I never seem to have lol  

Have you cried while writing a fic?

Ummm…. I don’t think there have ever been tears but I was hit hard while writing the argument between Harry and Ginny in Covert Love. 

If you had to remix one of your own fics, which would it be and how would you remix it?

Hmmm. I think I would have to say Only the Best because I would have liked to add more hints towards who was the culprit. I don’t think I put out enough clues so the reader could have had a chance to figure it out on their own. 

How did you come up with title for Covert Love?

I knew I was going to be focusing a lot on the undercover element in this story but the love aspect was also going to be huge so I looked up words that meant undercover and really liked Covert. And it’s also a play on words because Harry and Ginny need to keep their love covert from everyone so Harry doesn’t get in trouble ;)

Which idea came to you first in Covert Love?

It was literally just the general idea of Harry being undercover and falling in love with Ginny. The idea to have her be under his protection started to form as I explored ways for them to meet. And when I decided to have him be unable to tell her about his job… I knew I had something I would love creating and working on. I knew I would have drama and so many intense moments I would be so proud of the story, which is always my goal. 

Which part of Covert Love was the hardest to write?

The moment where Harry and Ginny fight because he didn’t tell her about his job. I knew the discovery scene was going to be vital and it always hurts to write Ginny and Harry fighting. So it felt like a lot of pressure and I think overall it came out really well!

If you were ever to do a sequel to Covert Love, what do you think might happen in it?

Hmmm… well I don’t have any plans on doing a sequel at this time, but that’s because I haven’t finished writing the first one yet :P

In Covert Love, what is a happy, post-fic headcanon you have about Hinny?

Harry and Ginny getting to stay together when everything is said and done… maybe a kid or two that love quidditch as much as their mom 

A word that describes my WIP

Strive. Everyone is striving for something, even the bad guy. It all comes back to the person and their goals and how much effort they are willing to put into getting what they want/need. 

Tell us an idea for a long fic you want to write in the future.

Well… I haven’t started it at all and the research will take a while, but I wanna do a Muggle AU treasure hunter fic. Harry is a treasure hunter who is out searching for a famous lost treasure. While out on an adventure, he runs into a wild red head who is somehow roped into helping Harry. They hate each other at first but fall in love with each other as the adventure goes on. Also, there is another hunter out for the glory of finding this treasure and they have to deal with that crazy bloke and his men. If you’ve played the Uncharted games you’ve seen the format and I’d love to do something with it! Let me know what you guys think!

2020 Fanfiction Review

Fics Written This Year:

I went back to look and there's a few! Fifteen on ao3, not counting tumblr ficlets! Most are Ace Attorney - eight this year and an honest attempt at an event week that I did not finish, but I did try my best and got a good few fics out of. There's one Hollow Knight fic, which is a fandom I'll have to revisit in writing (maybe once I have more than the one ending). Three October Daye fics, definitely a fandom I'll be writing more for at some point. And three for Juno Steel!

(And then of course there are the ideas I had this year that I haven't gotten to act on yet. There's always so much more in my head than I get down on paper, but I'm working on that.)

Takeaways from your kick-ass writing, or kick-ass lack of writing, during a year more focused on survival than perhaps any other:

It's been a weird year! Between quarantine and contract nonsense, there's been a lot of back-and-forth with "home all the time" and "going to work every day." Free time at home does not always translate to more writing done, for me, which is something I've been trying to crack the code on this year especially. I'm still just as much about aus and angst as I've ever been! And I generate ideas at an ungodly rate, so I've been spending more time deciding which ones I really want and which ones are free to a good home.

Most surprising fic you wrote this year:

Probably Directive Four! It was one of those headcanons that could technically happen in the canon of the story - technically Dark Matters could do some funky stuff with robots, and wouldn't it be interesting if they pushed their technology? I really thought it was gonna be a silly one-off, mostly-idea ficlet on tumblr; the kind of thing you write a blurb about just to get the thought out of your head to share with other people. A thousand words at most, and something to take people's minds off of election+destiel+what the fuck. And it... grew, every time I worked on it. And I got committed and really worked on it and HECK if I wasn't expecting to get so invested I REALLY wasn't expecting the response. "This will just be my self-indulgent thing and it'll be fine if I'm the only one who likes it" was the mantra, but a lot of you loved it and I am so, SO appreciative <3 One of the highlights of this year

(There was also the Ib ficlet which no one expected, including me. And Crazy Capsaicin Charlie, who lives on in our memory)

How you grew as a writer this year:

I don't necessarily have any evidence to support this, but I feel more... solid, about big projects? I feel more committed to finishing long fics, which doesn't necessarily mean that I will. But I feel better about my ability to do so. It's work and it's hard, but I can get that fic to look the way I want it to - or, if I can't, it's worth finding a way to tell the story in a way I can share even if it's not perfect. I hope that means I'm letting go of the perfectionism a little bit, because I feel like I could get so many more of my ideas written if not for that.

What's coming in 2021:

WELL, I guess the good thing about coming in late with this is, I've already written the first fic of 2021! By the hardest, too - there was the unexpected ep drop (and since it was speculation fic I really wanted to have it out before the next ep), and then tumblr said "you can't post that, that's too long" after so much formatting. And then after more formatting ao3 said "what if the whole site was down, as a treat." Sleep Awake is not what I expected it to be - it might have been much longer, in different circumstances - but I still think it's good, and I'm glad I didn't give up on it.

And I have a whole list of Juno Steel fics to get working on! There's a circus au, a hanahaki au, lots of requests left to fill, amnesia to inflict... I'm very excited! I hope you are, too!
