(I’ve always wanted to hear new voice lines from the classic Crisis Core cast... this is as close as I’m gonna get!) Anyway, figured it would be cool to actually hear the conversation talked about in the Keepers of Honour mails...

Today's update features a conversation between Angeal and Genesis.

G: You'd better do something about those plants in your room.

A: Those plants represent nature. Some of us converse with nature to hone our spirit and honor.

G: And some of us are getting bugs in our rooms because of those blasted things.

A: Come on. Don't you remember? We used to have bugs in our rooms all the time when we were kids.

G: That's why I hate them. And the past? It can stay there. We're in Midgar. We're not supposed to have nature here.

I kept debating how to end this short little mini comic. In the original script, they were gonna hold hands (scandalous, I know lmfao), but I didn't think it hit quite right in comic format when I tried to make it longer. Hence why it ends... like that.

Anyways I wrote like a ton of comic scripts for COTL comics that just didn't hit right / I couldn't commit to making and then when driving home from work last week in the pitch darkness I thought about how nice it is to see like actual stars. And I feel like with the cult grounds being kind of among a lot of trees and all that it might take a short hike to get a really, really, really good view of the night sky and stuff. Thus. This.

It's arguably not my best work (I'm out of practice drawing good night skies and all that) but I'm happy with it. Enjoy this thing I made

Heads up! There is going to be a very long and detailed post about making sausages dropping in a few hours.

It's got a big red content warning and a readmore, so nothing is going to get gruesomely dropped on you, but make sure you add "butchery" or "cw butchery" to your tag filters to be extra safe if the idea of processing animal carcasses is upsetting to you!

It also has an image of sausage casings before they're scraped. I tried to whack the post with as many CWs as I can think of but I'd recommend "cw meat" or "cw organs" if you need them.

I hate to be a massive Debbie downer/party pooper but I really don't like this idea of polyamorous shipping because Mothzilla is just too perfect for that kind of thing. Didn't you say some time ago you didn't like the idea of Mothra cheating on Goji and vice versa? Like when you drew Zeuszilla and said that unlike Zeus Goji is actually loyal to his wife haha.

i understand where you're coming from but i think it's worth saying

alternate polyamorous ship =/= a ship cheating on each other

i've always put down a delineation between these things - in my own main au of the kaijuverse, mothzilla is 'exclusive', or as close as you can get to that when we're talking about giant interspecies monster relationships. but i've also been very open about being a multishipping creature at heart, and don't view mothzilla as any less 'perfect' just because i play with the idea of another version of my personal au where they're open/poly. it doesn't take away from, or denigrate their baseline ship dynamic just because i'm willing to explore different dynamics i find interesting.

they wouldn't ever 'cheat' on each other, because they'd never do something outside the pairing without the other's consent. hope that makes sense

I think some folks MAY have gotten the wrong idea about how I feel about Circe with some of my posts. So, to clear the air...

I love how we're never given a reason why she turns people into animals. That's so funny and so awful. And another potion-making magic gal?!?! I love that she's just basically vibing on an island doing whatever she wants. I even love the fact that she scares Odysseus shitless! She's morally gray and that's why she's FUN.

I just sincerely hate when people try to girlboss her or have her be a victim of SA when she never was Looking at you, Miller. Especially when she was actually the one who coerced Odysseus in exchange for his men being transformed back into humans. And even then, while he was clearly afraid of her, (it's in the language of the Odyssey) she likely meant him no harm after a certain point. He just didn't know that.

Why does she need a reason to do awful things? Why can't she just be a goddess who does whatever she wants? That's the reason why I love her!!! She's fucked up!!! :D

It depends on what you define by life. I'm assuming you mean life as in "another persons" life to which the answer is: No (for the most part).

There has been several incidents where someone almost took the life of another (either intentional or not), but luckily they weren't able to. There is one however...

To answer your second question: A few of them would, but even then they are more likely to look towards other options first.

To note: Death on the Isles isn't like regular TADC. You can die and once you do you don't come back even if your body does.

Went with my mom and brothers to a Latin Low Mass in the city.

In a side hallway of the church some three foot tall nativity figures were just standing around, presumably about to be moved. They had the most gorgeous, elaborate costumes of real fabric which someone had obviously poured love into. But. Their heads were all about a quarter of the size of what they ought to be in proportion to the bodies. For some reason the Wise Kings especially cracked me up.

We got chicken schwarma and Greek salad after Mass. Fantastic.

After killing a little time, we went to an English-style Lessons and Carol service at one of the beautiful, Victorian churches. (Sister, brother-in-law, and tiny niece showed up too and shared a pew.) Glorious choir and musicians. (One thing that is always wonderful about this service is that the accompaniment is usually organs and brass, and whenever I tell people that, they look a bit askance, maybe picturing a marching band type sound. But in this sacred setting, they produce a sound more similar to... oh, you know the 1984 Christmas Carol movie with George C. Scott? It's more like that sound and paired with hymns and carols, it sounds so reverent and rejoicing.)
