Using chemicals on your hair can hurt more than just your hair.
Maintaining healthy hair is a priority for many people, and it's no secret that there are countless products available to help achieve that goal. While chemical-based products can seem like a quick fix, they can be harmful to hair health in the long run. Here, we'll discuss the benefits of using healthy hair products and the risks of using heat and chemical-based products.
Tumblr media
Healthy hair products are formulated with natural and organic ingredients that nourish and protect hair. These ingredients provide essential nutrients that can help prevent damage and promote healthy hair growth. Unlike chemical-based products, which can strip hair of its natural oils and cause dryness, healthy hair products, like those in the Club Rapunzel hair repair and hair growth program, help maintain moisture levels, resulting in stronger, healthier hair.
Chemical hair straighteners have recently come under scrutiny due to health concerns. Studies have linked these products to uterine cancer and other health issues, especially among Black women who may be more affected due to higher use. It's important to use caution when using chemical hair straighteners and to understand the potential risks associated with their use. By using healthy hair products and avoiding chemical straighteners, you can reduce the likelihood of hair damage and protect your overall health.
See here for more information:
Heat styling tools like flat irons, curling irons, and blow dryers can cause hair damage, including breakage, split ends, and dryness. It's important to limit the use of these tools and take steps to protect hair when they are used. One way to protect hair from heat damage is to use a heat protectant spray before using hot tools. Additionally, allowing hair to air dry instead of using a blow dryer can reduce exposure to heat, leading to healthier hair over time.
Chemicals found in hair dyes and other hair products can be harmful to hair health. Certain chemicals, such as ammonia and peroxide, can cause hair damage, dryness, and breakage. While it's tempting to color hair frequently, it's important to understand the potential risks of these products. Limiting the use of chemical-based hair products can help protect hair and maintain its natural health and beauty.
It's important to note, healthy hair products are a great option for those who want to maintain healthy hair. These products are formulated with natural and organic ingredients that can help prevent damage and promote healthy hair growth. By limiting the use of heat styling tools and chemical-based hair products, individuals can protect their hair from damage and promote overall hair health. By prioritizing hair health, individuals can enjoy strong, beautiful hair for years to come.

The importance of vitamin D in Haircare
༺♡༻༺♡༻༺♡༻༺♡༻ ༺♡༻༺♡༻༺♡༻༺♡༻༺♡༻༺♡༻༺♡༻ ༺♡༻
Our hair is thinning, loosing it's volume and not growing as it used to before. You have taken hair-supplements already and it doesn't seem to improve?
Topical treatments are great, but oftentimes hair health is impacted from the inside.
Therefore:
Vitamin D(3) is slept on as a nutritional supplement to prevent hair loss and get healthier hair.
Research on Vitamin D(3) :
Vitamin D(3) is  involved in various signalling pathways within hair follicles, particularly in the growth phase of the hair cycle
Vitamin D deficiency is associated with several types of hair loss
People with hair loss are more likely to have low vitamin D levels in their blood
Impacts of a Vitamin D deficiency
Decreased hair volume
Impede the hair follicles growth phase
Contribute to hair thinning
How to improve vitamin D levels
First, you should go to the doctor and get your blood checked for Vitamin D deficiency.
Because then you'll get the proper dosage for you.
If your deficiency is not as bad you can buy those supplement from the drugstore.
You have to eat something fatty before you take the supplement for the best results.
Important: Don't go for the highest Vitamin D supplement, due to Vitamin D toxicity. Start with a lower dosage if you're not deficient
Another way to incorporate more Vitamin D is through your diet.
Foods that contain Vitamin D
Non Plant based:
Fatty fish -> ex. Salmon; Mackerel; Sardines
Egg yolks
Beef liver
Milk
Yogurt
Plant based:
Fortified plant-based foods: ex. vegan milk; margarine & tofu
Mushrooms: -> esp. those exposed to UV light
Fruits and vegetables: -> Smaller amount ex:
-> Kale, spinach, and collard greens
->Okra, sweet potatoes, broccoli
->Oranges, bananas, kiwis, papayas
Manifesting Healthy hair for all girlies ya

•°•Hot Girl Tips•°•
Hydrogen peroxide removes period stains
Rubbing alcohol and/or hand sanitizer removes nail polish
The amount of water you need to drink= your weight÷2, then that number÷8 so for example 100÷2=50÷8=6.25 so if you weigh 100 pounds you would need at least six 8oz glasses of water per day
Sugar wax>>> here's a recipe: 1 cup of white sugar, 1/4 cup of water, 1/4 cup of lemon juice (lime works too) combine the ingredients in a saucepan and let them boil until golden brown. The easiest way to test the wax is to have a small bowl of ice water and drop a little bit of the wax into it. When the wax is ready, you'll be able to roll it into a soft ball and it will keep its shape. When this consistency is reached, put it in a glass jar (make sure the jar isn't cold otherwise it will crack) and let it cool off for at least an hour. Once cool, apply it in the opposite direction of hair growth and wax awayyyy
Diy cuticle oil: olive oil and vitamin E oil. You could add a drop or two of essential oil if you want. The amount of oil you need depends on your container so for mine it was a tablespoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of vitamin E.
Diy dry shampoo: 3 parts cornstarch and 1 part baking soda.
Healthy drink to ease bloating and get in your vitamins and minerals: 1/2 cucumber, a few sticks of celery, kale or another dark green of your choice, lemon juice, turmeric (a little goes a long way) and ginger. Fresh is best but any ginger you have will work. Fill the blender to the max line with water, and blend until liquid. You can strain it if you want, but you don't have to. It doesn't taste great, but in the long run it is worth ittt
Smelling good is such a wonderful thing for so many reasons. First, pick a scent. Or at the very least a top 3 like I have: vanilla, Dior Blooming Bouquet, and Sol De Janeiro '68. I also use the classic scent from Soap and Glory (rose and bergamot). The first and most important thing is to find a good deodorant. Which one works for you depends on your body chemistry, but dove is always a safe bet :). Next, find a good shower routine. Having all of your shower products smell similar will keep the scent lasting longer. And, of course, shower at least every other day. Washing your hair is different bc your hair washing routine depends on your hair type. And of course you must find a body lotion that matches your other shower products.
Last and final tip for today: keep your nails and hands healthy and pretty by moisturizing your hands with hand cream. I like this one by Burts bees, this one from Eucerin, and this one from Dior (pricey I know but it's w o r t h itt).
That's it! Tysm

🤔Why Going Without Shampoo and Conditioner Can Give You Thicker, Stronger Hair?
🙅‍♀️Shampoo and conditioner can strip your hair and scalp of natural oils, which can lead to dryness, breakage, and other hair problems.
🌱Natural methods can also clean and nourish hair without striping natural oil nor exposing you to harsh chemicals.
Here are 2 best natural methods to wash your hair, without striping natural oils :
1️⃣Apple cider vinegar rinse :
– Mix 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and pour over your hair, massaging your scalp. Rinse with water after a few minutes.
ACV balances pH, removes buildup, and stimulates hair growth.
2️⃣Baking soda wash :
– Make a paste with 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda and water, then massage it into your hair and scalp. After rinsing, use vinegar.
Baking soda promotes hair growth, removes oil, and adds volume.
🤷‍♀️What are the natural remedies for better hair growth?
- Onion juice
- Egg mask
- Rosemary oil
I have been using cold pressed hexane free castor oil with Rosemary oil to rub into my scalp and sleeping with it like that at night. I am seeing a difference.
The I'm using 👇
½ cup castor oil
6-7 drops of rosemary oil
Massage into the scalp about 2 hours before bed, cover the pillow with a towel and after 2 months I'm seeing positive results.
I do this every other day and I don't use shampoo or conditioner, I use Amish soap with all natural ingredients. 🤔

Friday, August 4.
hair!
Hairy moments. We remain unsure exactly why this phrase is used to describe a situation that is hazardous, frightening, difficult, dangerous, or in any sense uncomfortable or threatening. #hair, as we have come to understand it, is none of these things. Hair is, in fact, a pretty good thing when all is said and done. It is something we would like to pay tribute to today, in all its many forms: long, short, shaved, afro, curly, dreadlocked, straightened, unkempt... it's all good, good stuff.
It can totally change a person's appearance, or even tell you a little something about their character. And while attitudes towards hairstyles have varied widely across different countries and historical periods, it is now typically understood as a reflection of a person's personal beliefs or social position—including age, culture, or religion. And it is a lot of fun to play with. There are even some on this Earth who, unlike the rest of us mere mortals, have a head of hair *perfect* for styling, molding, and creating into endlessly fun shapes. So we gathered one or two of these folk below for your viewing pleasure, we being the generous people we are.
Happy Friday. If you have any hairy moments, may they be good ones x

One thing I’m realizing is if you don’t already have healthy hair, it’s hard to pull curls off regardless of your routine. Like I just did my usual lengthy curly hair steps (detangle while soaking wet, leave-in, curl cream, mousse, and gel—all w products I’ve either been using for a minute or products I researched at length) but my curls still didn’t come out as curly as they usually do. And a big part of that is I haven’t done any hours long hair masks w shower caps on for a minute, I haven’t been doing deep clarifying sessions like I usually did, and bc I already started w a base of curls that was frizzy the end result wasn’t as bouncy and defined as it usually is when I do go the whole nine yards. So like literally the first step to defined curls (or hair in general tbh) w volume is having good hair care. The rest follows but I don’t think a solid routine will save u if u don’t already start w something healthy.

How to get long healthy shiny hair in 2024 🎀
Tumblr media
HAIR OILING: It is recommended that you oil your hair at least once or twice in a week. The benefits from oiling your hair are endless, from strengthening and lengthening your hair to preventing dandruff, lice, hair breakage and so much more. But remember that you should not go overboard as too much of everything is not good! Finding the suitable one depending on your hair type is essential for getting the best results!
SHOWER ROUTINE: It is very important to find the right shampoo for your hair type that gently cleanses and removes all that heavy buildup of products you apply in your hair, that doesn’t damage and dry it out, which is what a Clarifying shampoo does. But remember to check what hair type it is for as some shampoos aren’t suitable for all hair types. After shampoo is when you should use a hair mask, as it is advised to be used before conditioning since using a hair mask injects moisture into the hair and conditioner locks it in! A lot of people think that you just use conditioner from that same brand of shampoo and hair mask, but the real truth is that it is best to use the best conditioner you find works well enough for your hair.
AFTER SHOWER ROUTINE: Use a microfiber towel after showering! Not only does it dry your hair faster, but it’s much softer and gentle while doing no damage to your hair. If you plan on blow drying your hair, remember to let your hair air dry about 80-90% before blow drying. And you must use heat protectant for your hair! And wether you’re blow drying your hair or not, find the best hair serum and apply (can be used before and after styling) it firstly to your ends and then apply the leftover serum on your palm on your roots to prevent your roots from looking greasy. Always remember a little goes a long way with hair serums.
Thank you for reading and I hope you find this beneficial! Let me know if you have any questions <3

Percabeth after the first war, who haven’t really gotten to be teenagers, who feel both too old and too young for their skin. Who are so so glad that the war is over, but also feel surprisingly lost, because fighting the war has been their future, their purpose, their job for as long as they can really remember
Annabeth and Percy, who do what all adrift teens do when everything is overwhelming and painful and exciting and when it feels like you don’t have a purpose any more:
they make a bucket list.
it starts small. They go clothes shopping together, close enough to Sally’s house that they can get home quick if they need too. They start to develop their own senses of style. They go to a farmers market. They make graffiti at one point and nearly get caught but the entire time they’re giggling through their fingers.
then comes the hair.
it was just a random item on the bucket list: hair dye.
and they were going to get crazy colors, Percy was going to dye his bright teal blue, no hesitation. He was decided. But then they’re standing in the shopping aisle, looking at the colorful boxes, and Percy’s eyes catch on a model, and they have long dark hair that’s just the same shade as Annabeth’s.
and he scans the aisle, and there’s another one, a bright sandy gold, and he turns to Annabeth, who is debating between silver and purple with all the intensity of a teenage war veteran, and says I have a stupid idea”
they grab a boxed bleach on their way out.
they dye their hair together, and it’s a mess and the dye gets everywhere and it’s not quite even and both of them get a little light headed from the fumes but it’s so much fun
and they refuse to let anyone in the bathroom until their hair is dyed, rinsed and blow dried even though it takes forever because bleaching is a much longer process
when they finally emerge, Sally gasps and then starts to laugh and then Paul joins in and then they’re all laughing.
Percy’s hair is black, Annabeth’s hair is blond.
They’ve switched hair colors. And it’s silly, but it’s also a constant reminder that they’re not alone.
It’s being able to wake up from a nightmare and seeing blond hair on your pillow instead of black and thinking “Percy”. It’s having a bad day where you can’t seem to keep your mind from slipping away from you, then seeing black hair in the corner of your vision and thinking “Annabeth”. It’s a tangible sign that they are connected, that they are alive, and that there is someone who understands. A physical reminder of love.
When their roots grow out, they look at their inverted hair and smile. Like always, they match.

Actually I can't stop thinking about Tim gaining a bit of weight during her time as Persephone and it's killing me now
#she's been an immortal for so long she has no idea how she looked before the lunar war#she was 3-4 years younger and matured during that time despite the starvation#and she probably got a buzzcut when she was drafted but nobody kept up with hair regulations bc they couldn't see each other enough#for them to be enforced#After she first got mechanized the eyes were just one of the many parts of ger body she didn't recognize#and it competed in importance with the weight loss and aging and new scars and more#But when she sees herself at a healthy weight as Persephone bc she hasn't had a complete death in so long that she's managed to hold weight#she just cries because she thinks this is how she must have once looked#though her memory fails to give her any confirmation. she can only guess#she sees in the mirror a person who didn't feast on the corpses she could find#and she can pretend she actually Is Persephone- not Tim#that she's lived a happy olympian life and has never died and that she doesn't occasionally unwillingly salivate over brains in the acheron#and the worst part is she Knows this is temporary#her fantasy and joy is limited#limited until the day she doesn't throw a grenade far enough again or the day she annoys Ashes enough to set her on fire#she can't stay this way for the eternity she is so damned to#and once she does experience a full body reset it's an uphill climb to regain that weight again- if she manages to not die in that time#it's the inevitability of it all that really gets me#and also Ashes obviously thinks Tim looking healthier- well taken care of- is hot as fuck. tho they think Tim always looks hot as fuck#but they don't understand why she freezes when they run a hand along her chest now- unable to even feel her ribs unless they press down#or why she starts making flimsy excuses to leave whenever they offer to take her out on their arson runs

HEALTHY HAIR TIPS AND TRICKS ✧˚ · .
this post is going to be aiming toward type 3-4 hair (curly-coily)! but if you have a different hair type some of these things could be beneficial towards your hair as well
Tumblr media
WASHING YOU HAIR
healthy hair starts with how you manage it. so making sure you have a good wash day routine is super important for your hair health. only wash your hair once a week if you do a sport or are active a lot. if not, only wash your hair once every two weeks. when you rinse your hair use cold water to ensure moisture stays locked in. the more you wash your hair the more natural oils your hair gets stripped from and you don't want that.
PICKING PRODUCTS
picking hair care products that are right for you hair plays a big role in your hair health. try to find hair products that don't contain sulfates, parabens, silicones, or mineral oil. instead look for honey, shea butter, tea tree oil, and argan oil.
A ROUTINE FOR YOU
making sure you develop your own hair routine that's right for your hair and benefits you is the best way to go. don't follow hair care trends that you see other people doing. stick to yours, trying out different products is totally okay, if you're careful.
STYLING
the way you are styling your hair could also be of benefit to your hair growth/health. try doing protective styles to ensure you aren't pulling at your hair all the time, pulling at your hair so much could cause thinning. but at the same time still making sure you aren't leaving those protective styles in for too long because that could also cause breakage.
HEAT
using heat on your hair all the time is definitely not of value to you. this could cause extreme breakage and really bad heat damage which could mess up your natural curl pattern. I recommend only straightening your hair once every 5-6 months to give your hair a trim. watch this video to successfully straighten your hair the healthy way.
HAIRCUTS
try to give your hair a trim every 3-6 months (depending on your ends) to clip your dead hair. this ensures your hair will grow long and healthy.
SLEEP
sleeping is also a huge benefit for hair health and growth. don't sleep with your hair soaking wet while that can cause breakage, if you are deep conditioning you hair make sure to sleep with a bonnet over your hair to prevent you from laying on it. make sure to use silk pillowcases + bonnets!
HEALTH OVER LENGTH
lots of people I see never let go of their long hair because of the length even though it's damaged. my opinion is to just let it go. you don't have to cut all of it off at one time but cutting a few inches off every few months will help you hair grown even longer and healthier
VITAMINS
taking vitamins will also help your hair tremendously! vitamin B, C, iron, zinc, and keratin are a few good ones you could take
