Alright so there’s probably a ghost hanging out in my room because 3am just seems to be a prime time to theorize but that’s besides the point. After listening to VHS on loop for hours two things stuck out
The beginning line of “Would you like to see what I see? You can see everything” is probably not just cult vibes but maybe The Founder himself. “…cannot see what I see…I can help you to see what Joshua sees. I can help you to see what I see.”
At the very end of the song “with only three easy payments” it first came off as a haha TWRP doing silly advertising thing again like with the Perfect Product. But what if it refers to The Nucleus of Sensation
The diagram looking thing points out the senses of sight, touch, and smell with hearing in the middle. (It mentioned mouth somewhere but I’m just gonna ignore that for now. might be related to the whole “My lips are cracked and parched” idk). Anyway back to the point. The Founder page says “…you must never trust your rods and your cones.” (referring to your eyes) and just keeps repeating how you can’t trust your own senses. What if giving up your senses is the payment? Specifically that of sight, touch, smell/(maybe) taste. Giving something up/sacrificing a part of you seems like a culty thing to do.
