My new favourite headcannon is Regulus and Lily being good friends, bonding over the fact they’re both younger siblings and feel hated and abandoned by their siblings. Lily is always trying to make Regulus see that Sirius is nothing like her sister and that he cares for him and she keeps on telling Sirius to fight for his brother.

She knows that Sirius is nothing like her sister until the prank. For the first time she thinks, she might have been wrong.

How do you think Lily felt when Petunia got married. Sitting there at the wedding party, not even a bridesmaid, knowing she was just being replaced by Vernon. Knowing after this, she would probably never see Petunia again because she would move out, she would leave and never come back.

i dont get why i never see evans sister reconciliation in fics ,,, sm have black brothers back together and regulus "growing" (or they just disregard the de stuff entirely, or they say he was 'forced') but they never do anything with the easily more interesting of the two dynamics. if you want a half assed 'redemption' we have the "you didn't just lose a mother, i lost a sister" line from the movies but wairr i forgot petunia isn't described as pretty and she's a woman so she can't be complex (unless, of course, she was forced to be abusive by vernon because the only way women can be complex is by them being repressed first, esp by men!) whereas regulus is your uwu femboy and easier to sexualize ahhh i get it now sorry guys
