“So,” Barty said casually, sidling up to Regulus as he stood in the corner of the crowded Gryffindor common room, “Potter looks rather fit tonight, eh?”

Instantly, Regulus’s carefully-composed mask hardened, and his eyes flashed. It was all Barty could do not to burst out laughing. “No. He looks awful. Why do you say that?”

“I’m just saying,” he said with a shrug. “I might go for it. Do you mind?” He asked lightly, biting at his lip to keep from grinning. 

Regulus narrowed his eyes and glared at him like he’d suggested they all go streaking in the Forbidden Forest. “Why would I mind?” he asked a little too quickly.

“Dunno. You’ve been looking at him all night,” Barty pressed, thoroughly enjoying himself.

“Because he’s an arse,” Regulus spat, face turning bright red. “He’s–I haven’t been staring, either.”

“Alright. I’m gonna go talk to him, then. Wish me luck!” he replied, chuckling to himself as he turned away, wondering how long Regulus would let the charade go on for before he stopped him. Evan had bet ten seconds. Pandora had bet a whole minute.

It turned out, Regulus didn’t even last three seconds.

“Wait!”

Face the picture of innocence, Barty turned and raised an eyebrow. “Yeah?”

“S-Sirius told me he’s seeing someone. I just remembered,” Regulus muttered, head high, lips pursed, like he didn’t really care, even though Barty saw a vein jump in his temple.

“Oh,” he replied, pretending to deflate. “Too bad. He looks delicious this evening.”

Regulus’s face was full of pure hatred.

So, beaming to himself, Barty sauntered away to inform Dorcas, who had insisted that Regulus wouldn’t even let him walk away, that she had won the bet.

Yes we can see that Alphie is a little copy cat, always trying to do everything like his uncle.

"I want to dress like him!" "I want piercings!" "I want tattoos!" "I want to play guitar!" Poor Regulus who doesn’t catch a break 😭 He indulged his son by letting have his ears pierced and wear temporary tattoos ( he is too young for tattoos ), and he even let him have guitar lessons in addition with his violin ones.

“Oi, Black! Got a pencil?”

Even though he had been ready for it, Regulus still nearly-growled as he shoved his hand into his bag and ripped a pencil from the inside pocket. It had become a routine of sorts– sit down at his normal, self-assigned seat in Psych 101, take out his computer and notebook, scan the board for hints about what they were learning in that class, and get rudely interrupted from his thoughts by James Potter, who always insisted on sitting directly behind him, asking him for a damn pencil.

Still rolling his eyes, Regulus dropped the dullest pencil he could find into Potter’s outstretched hand, gritting his teeth and only meeting his eyes for a fraction of a second. “Ever thought of bringing your own?” he mumbled, turning back to face the front of the room.

A foot tapped on the metal leg of his desk, making his heart race and the hair on the back of his neck stand on end. “No,” the other boy answered, his voice filled with a smugness that made Regulus want to scream.

“Any reason why?” he asked through gritted teeth, using all of his self-control not to turn around and send him a death glare.

“Because. It’s an excuse to talk to you.”

Despite his best attempts at ignoring him, Regulus turned right around to stare at Potter, his mouth agape as he tried to gauge whether or not the boy was joking. But his stunning hazel eyes were wide with genuine innocence, and his smile seemed almost…nervous.

“I-”

“Alright, class. Time to talk about the hypothalamus. This part of the brain is known to control anger, aggression, pleasure, and sexual desire…” the professor began.

And for some reason, Regulus felt himself turn red at those words.
