Let. The. Girls. Be. Imperfect.

I'm always joking about Lily being perfect, but honestly, they don't always need to be the "queen, girlboss who stands for herself and knows she's better than everyone else," because that's not how people work. Let the girls be real, let the girls have flaws just like the boys. Let them say the wrong things sometimes, let them mess up. Let them be human. And let's normalize, not villainize, them just for it. When the boys show just a little development, everyone kisses their feet.

Let them be mean and angry and petty. Let them cry over things they shouldn’t care about or hold grudges for too long. Let them make bad decisions out of fear or selfishness. Let them be complicated and messy and everything that makes a character feel alive.

We celebrate male characters for being morally grey/antiheroes and for having arcs full of mistakes and redemption. Why can’t girls have the same? Why can’t they stumble and fall, and be loved anyway? Let them struggle with jealousy or insecurity. Let them hurt people and then try (imperfectly) to make it right.

And when they grow, when they learn, let it feel earned. Let their development be messy, nonlinear, and human. Let them be everything that makes a real person, not just a symbol of perfection or empowerment. Because real strength doesn’t come from being flawless—it comes from the courage to be imperfect and still keep going. That's a girlboss.

my marauders hot takes:

- fav romantic ships are prongsfoot, jily, jilypad, quillkiller, and marylene

- i dont think james would hate sirius after the prank

- remus is the last person to be a casanova (that was james, sirius, and mary)

- i looove the characterization of the marauders as the best friendship quad ever but we forget it was described in the books as “james + sirius… and their two side kicks” (obv they still became animagi for remus so he was very close to them, but sirius and james were always the main duo)

- i dont believe in “young peter was a different person,” he was always a coward that gravitated towards the most powerful person (in hogwarts that was james/sirius’ popularity, in the war that was voldemort)

- remus was not the smartest marauder (in their year the smartest students were sirius, james, and lily)

- ik it birthed the fandom, but i dont really like wolfstar that much

Oddly enough, we know that only Snape besides Voldemort could fly. I have two theories: Bellatrix could too but was never shown it, or Voldemort taught Snape to do it as revenge for some mistake by Bellatrix.

How I imagine Voldemort and Bellatrix in their 30s.

He was plainly dressed in a black suit; his hair was a little longer than it had been at school and his cheeks were hollowed, but all of this suited him; he looked more handsome than ever.

A woman with thick, shining dark hair and heavily hooded eyes, who was sitting in the chained chair as though it were a throne.

In his 30s, Voldemort was being harassed by Hepzibah Smith and Bella went to Azkaban. Sigh. They deserved so much better.

Regulus is their favorite, so he's grown up to be a bratty, hard-to-please guy
