#Am I a therian

gonna get called cringe for this but a messy list on things that make me think i'm some type of (poly?) therian,,

first the animals i think i used to be, male red fox, male elk possibly whitetail buck not really sure, female mountain lion, (not really sure) male american black bear, I'm half guessing with most of the genders here a lot of stuff is still fuzzy,

a lot of this probably isn't gonna make sense but i still have a prey drive and a want to hunt, i still want to bury my food when my done with it too, (usually just putting it wrapped up underneath a pile of clothes is enough tho)

and i swear i can almost remember hoisting myself up a tree, my arms on either side of it with my claws digging into the bark, i think that might be from the mountain lion. I'm not sure though could be the black bear.

and i really really want to do the thing where two bucks or two bull elk lock antlers and push each other intill one gives up. i can remember doing it. also i can mimic a bull elk mating call pretty well and it makes some part of me insanely happy.

i still want to growl and snarl at things too when I'm startled or upset,

last thing before i start rambling too much, i get phantom limb feelings a lot with antlers, or paws, or tails, or sharp teeth and claws,

a lot of this probably doesn't make sense but if anyone wants to try to guess what i am go ahead I'm still trying to figure it out because i haven't been "awake" for that long.

I was actually meant to live in a den and eat raw fish by the stream the idea of me in a little dress shirt inside a building of metal and plastic is insane and basically animal cruelty at this point

I got like a weird comment the other day insinuating I was going to eventually be therian because I'm transgender and in poly relationships now, and, like, I've got no actual problems with the idea or the community, but I'd appreciate it not be expected of me just because I am a queer furry. seeing werewolf packs in media joking around and acting wolflike/doglike in their human forms always makes me so envious. id kill to have a close family like that, where we may all still look human but none of us actually are and canine behaviour/communication is seen as normal and not weird. i often feel kind of isolated from my family because of how much i have to mask or tone down my canine behaviour to appear normal to them. i hope some day i can find a pack like this where i can fully be myself and be surrounded by people who are the same :-)

i dislike tiktok . it's weird and i think any platform with short form content is bound to piss people off

anyway plsss keep in mind :

therians on tiktok are 80% children (from like 8-14) (have you ever seen a child talk about something important to them? they scramble their words and make it very self centric!! they do not quite understand social media, information gathering, communities and safe spaces like us older people do) (my foster sister is 11 year old is a therian and she's still figuring out how to work with it) (also their whole lives have been spent living as human, unlike some of us older creatures who have had therianthropy under our belt for years)

i've also deleted tiktok! but instead, i literally watch those silly therian tiktok compilation videos on youtube. they're usually hand picked and recent! avoid the drama and watch fun little videos online !!!

also please remember some therians can be more connected to their humanity than you could be ! sure, they shouldn't claim every therian "is human", but if they're a child, children seem to apply "if this is my experience, then it's everyone's experience duhhh". if they're older with a bunch of experience in the community then go ahead n sick'em i condone that LOL
