Ok smthn I rly hate is when people say you can’t or it’s weird to like a piece of media just because it has a “weird” or “unconventional” aspect to it. It really pisses me off cause people should be allowed to like what they like, regardless of those aspects.

Yes you can like a book even if it has sex scenes in it.

Yes you can like a series even if it has heavy gore or horror.

Yes you can like a movie even if it has a cringey or cheesy plot line or character tropes.

And anything in between. Media has so many aspects to it, we shouldn’t judge what someone like based off just one. As long as it isn’t something genuinely harmful to people (racism, paraphilia, etc) you should be able to like what you like regardless of the icky-er aspects, or heck sometimes even for those aspects, go wild. Again, as long as it isn���t harmful, do what you want bros, have fun <33

A Kaz Playlist

Exploring that untouched ground between when Kaz discovers he's been used and left out of BB's plans and when he finally settles as Master Miller, I've been thinking a lot about that anger and betrayal he must have felt to get him to walk away from everything he had been building. The personal anger he felt against BB himself was my main focus for a lot of these songs, as well as the feelings of turning his back on him in retaliation. I'm also enjoying thinking about how that bitterness and anger would spiral into a cycle of abuse that may have got taken out on his students, especially david snake, later down the line. This is basically like the world's edgiest break up playlist.

Ezran is one of the deuteragonists in the show called The Dragon Prince. He is the little half-brother of Callum, the main protagonist. Ezran is 12 years old, blasian (half-black, half-asian), and he is also the king of Katolis. He is really kind, compassionate and empathetic, and he can also communicate with animals. Ezran's mom died when he was a baby, and his father died when he was 9 years old leading him to take the throne, and for his brother to become the new High Mage of Katolis. Ezran is really forgiving of others and he is such a sweet guy. The fandom mainly sees him as a cute, innocent cinnamon roll, and while all of that is true, some of them fail to see the true aspects of his character, and why he acts the way he is. Ezran doesn't want to repeat the mistakes that his father made, and he is not really that fond of conflict, which is why he always aims for the road to peace. No murder, no violence. And while violence can be pretty bad, we must remember that not all things can be solved with a short talk and a hug, because it isn't all that simple. Peace takes a really long, long way to achieve, and you have to be wise with your decisions. It may not look like it, but Ezran actually represses his anger. He is really angry that the Moonshadow assassins killed his father, the only parent he had left, and he didn't even get to know his own mother. He is all hiding this rage behind a happy facade, mainly because he doesn't want to create conflict and start war, like what the other generations in the past have done. He has to understand that it's okay to be mad. It's okay to let all your feelings out, because sometimes that is just what you need in order to break the cycle. You have to accept the rage you are feeling, and you don't have to run away from it. It's honestly really sad that the world forced him into that tragic position just because of an ongoing war that has been happening for many generations, especially when his father and the old High Mage stole the egg of the dragon prince. This kid has been robbed from his childhood, and the only thing that keeps him from going insane are his friends, his pets, and most of all, his jelly tarts. I don't think anyone has ever said this before, nor have they ever talked about it, but I think Ezran is a perfectionist in my opinion, and he's totally a people pleaser (totally not projection.) He always wants what's best for his kingdom, and he's been so stressed lately because of the multiple expectations that the people have for him. We all know that a child shouldn't be doing this. Children deserve to enjoy all the childhood they have before they tackle adult situations. And because of those expectations, he forgets to act like a kid sometimes. We can see that in the scene where he tries to organize his speech to call out all the dragons. Soren reminds him that he should be a kid and that he should have fun first. Another thing that I don't think anyone has ever thought of before, is that he probably views being a king as a way of validation and acceptance, because he was such an outcast as a child. It was mentioned in the show that he had a hard time making friends his age growing up, and he found most of his comfort with animals. When he was still a prince, you'd assume that each time he was bored he'd just go outside and make friends, but no. He doesn't do that, and he goes to roam around the whole castle trying to find hidden passages instead. That's how lonely he is. And he can't just play with his brother all the time, because Soren is always training him on how to become a proper prince. And each time he would take jelly tarts from Barius the baker, Barius would get really mad at him. Now that he's a king all of that has changed. Everyone loves him now, and everyone praises him a lot. Even Barius is willing to make more jelly tarts for him, unlike before. He honestly just deserves better, and I hope he earns enough guidance from people around him, to become truly the best king ever.
