idk who needs to hear this but having a super negative reaction to someone coming out as therian/otherkin/alterbeing/etc isn't normal, yes, even if they are uninformed.

i saw a post that was like "parents don't accept therians. my dad is super nice and accepting but if i told him i was a therian he'd (literal child abuse)" just so we are clear that isn't normal

my mom wasn't super informed about therianthopy and when i told them they were like "oh. cool! :)" because even when you aren't informed, you can still choose to approach the unknown with compassion.

if your friends and family don't approach your unknowns with compassion, they are not treating you how you deserve to be treated.

I’m putting together a book of all the short comics I’ve drawn over the past year to have for sale at my spring conventions! Not sure what the title will be yet, but the uniting themes of all the stories seem to be Girls and Magic.

I drew this selkie comic really fast and it bounced all around tumblr which was cool, but the messy lettering and simple coloring bugged me so I cleaned it up a bit.

Lil update on the ref sheet, did the lineart and the details to the jacket, now just to color and it’ll be done XP

Alr I don’t know a lot about physical therians and species transitioning, idrk if I am one myself, but there are some things I thought of that I feel might help me feel more connected to my kin’s/ -types that I can either do now or in the future so here’s some of them:

-buy/make faun legs, ears and horns

-learn to play some sort of trad instrument

-make/buy retractable wings for myself that I can were sometimes

-get some paw, moth, kin type and other tattoos

-WOULD get snake bite piercings but they defo wouldn’t look good on me for now anyway, so maybe when I’m older they’d suit me better

-customize/diy some of my clothes with things like paws, ears on hoods and others

-add a giant patch of a pair of wings to my wip patch jacket

-try (atleast part time) working in an outdoorsy place, like an animal sanctuary or as a nature guide or smthn

-decorate my room with kin type related things

-make/buy paw shoes

If I think of any more I’ll add them <3

I think I just find it rly hard to accept the fact that there isn’t rly anyone I can rly be myself around. Like I’ll say to other people that I’m comfortable with them and that I can be myself around them, but honestly there isn’t a person I can ever rly be truly me around and just fully unmask around. Like theres no one that I can stim freely around, there’s no one who wouldn’t mind me making random animal noises as vocal stims or there’s no one who wouldn’t mind me wearing animal ears or tails or just gear in general around them, there’s no one I can tell about all the neopronouns I use and what flags I think look cool, there’s no one I can tell about all my kin’s and how I feel about them, there’s no one I can openly express my identity and alter humanity around and it feels like there never will be and it’s so frustrating sometimes…

I want to be perceived as a canine or a dragon so badly. I want people to think of me as them. Because I am a canine, I am a dragon. I hate the fact everyone in my life sees me as fully human. I’m an Omnitherian but I really just am a canine and dragon the most. I feel like my body is them in a way. I want to get tattoos, or get my hair a certain way, or sharp teeth to make myself more dog like. I’d totally wear ears/horns and a tail everyday if I could.

I also want to be referred to as my kintypes. Like if my friends are talking about me they say something like “oh yeah my friend Aro is a German shepherd!” Or like if I do something they say” that’s because your a dragon” or maybe just silly jokes “oh look, no dogs allowed, guess Aro can’t go” even “hey look it looks like you!” If they see a border collie or something.

I want that so badly but don’t know how to achieve it. I’m not sure how to achieve the canine or dragonness I want. Or how to start telling others in my life that I’d life to be referred to that way. I’m scared that they won’t understand and stop talking to me.
