As a bunny therian, cottagecore brings me so much comfort. I’m not a wild rabbit, I’m a domestic one, and something about cottagecore really speaks to that part of me. Thinking about if I had rabbit ears

Ear growth is seen most in the early stages of life and are not based off of the size of the rabbit (as I initially thought) but is instead based on climate and availability of nutrition needed to grow

Personally the ears of the Antelope hare are my favorite, they're thin like stained glass and absolute satellite dishes compared to the smaller bodied creature

Knowing what I know now, if I had grown rabbit ears, they would have been exactly the opposite of the Antelope hare! I was raised in a cold climate, and we won't get into how I was raised but basically my ears would have been quite small even in youth, which means as I grew up they'd be even smaller in proportion, as well as quite thick and fuzzy to protect them from that northern chill!

It's really very cute to think about and I'm quite happy with the knowledge that I would have itty bitty fluffy bunny ears!

My name is Oliver, but I vastly prefer Spring or Vin. I use he/him, and am a fictkin and rabbitkin.
