Do any other fictionkin/alterhumans have identities that are very strong when they first get them, but then slowly settle into the background?

When I first get a kintype, I’m constantly shifted for weeks, but then they just suddenly change so I rarely get shifts. I still fully identify as them always, so it’s not fictionflicker, but I just sort of lose my connection if I’m not actively focusing on shifting

This might be due to mental illness and my current inability to feel most things combined with me being extremely busy, but it still bothers me that I can’t stay shifted consistently

I’ve been making kintype playlists and that has been helping, but I still don’t like that most of the time I have to force shifts for characters that I was constantly for years
