Yeah, Izzo actually mentioned that panel specifically! We technically don't know for certain whether that particular character was meant to be her, but I'd say it's a very good reasonable guess and definitely the closest thing we have! Certainly gonna be my headcanon for now, until/unless we get something a little more concrete.

Speaking of which, I went ahead and transcribed the part of the interview about Norm, tagging @theoptimistictabby again because you're gonna want this, Norm fans are gonna be hype for this one haha. I'm gonna put the full thing under a cut because it's just a tad bit long, but the tl;dr bullet points are:

Izzo really wants to do a Norm comic at some point, exploring his past and/or the gap between A1 and A2

Norm's family probably won't make a direct appearance in the films, but might appear in other media such as comics

One of his kids is named Popiti and she, along with a sibling, do appear in The High Ground; he mentioned the panel with Norm playing the violin specifically

The majority of the Olangi clan died in the Battle of the Hallelujah Mountains and the survivors were absorbed into the Omatikaya clan. Norm's mate was one of these survivors and he met her in during the aftermath of the battle.

By the way, for those who didn't catch it on the other reblog, Izzo also confirmed later that day via this comment that Popiti and her sibling are indeed Norm's biological kids, not adopted!

...soooo with all that in mind, if we take that violin panel you posted and zoom out a bit:

Mako: In the Visual Dictionary and The High Ground, it is hinted that Norm has a family. Do you know if we will ever meet them? Izzo: Yes! So, keen-eyed viewers…well, meet them on film, like, visually? Probably not. That will probably be, like, a lore, derivitive media sort of thing, but keen-eyed viewers…his children appear in The High Ground. They’re in there! There’s a couple panels where you see them, like when the Sully family return, and they have that kind of dance party, it’s at the top of book 1, I believe, where Norm is playing a musical instrument or something like that…Popiti and his other kid are there. They’re in that scene. But yeah, I would love to more with that; Norm is a character that….and actually this is something that again Ray, our creative guy, he’s talked about doing stuff about the Avatar program, the AVTR program, from a comic book perspective, he’s had some really interesting ideas…but Norm as a character is one that I’d really love to do some comic book or some other media about that’s either…y’know…I’d love to do something that’s between A1 and A2. Izzo: Just right now, just for the room…and I don’t know if it’s in the Visual Dictionaries…but in our documentation at work...this is all subject to change, so, y’know, of course, I’m gonna say it, but Jim might have different ideas…his mate, his partner, is one of the Olangi clan that he met during the post-Battle of the Hallelujah Mountains, one of Akwey’s people…and because Akwey’s people essentially got destroyed during that battle, the Omatikaya clan sort of absorbed a lot of their remnants, their lost, because that’s what happens during the wartimes…you saw that’s also what happened to So'lek’s clan…they passed away and then other clans abosorbed their survivors, and the Olangi clan came and lived with the remnants of the Omatikaya in their yurts on that border of Hell’s Gate between Hell’s Gate and the Omatikayan rainforest. So yeah, he was….we have it in our paperwork that he’s mated and partnered to an Olangi woman. Mako: Oh, ok yeah. That’s not lore that I personally knew, so that’s really really interesting, and again further stuff to potentially explore in a character study. Izzo: Yeah, super fun!

Norm family lore drop!!

so for Avatar fans who don't already know, Kelutral's "Omaticon" online convention (streamed on their Twitch channel) is going on this weekend, and the kickoff panel earlier this evening featured franchise loremaster Josh Izzo.

Some may remember this little panel in the High Ground, featuring Norm with a Na'vi child addressing him as "Daddy":

In the Visual Dictionary, there's also a very brief mention that Tuk has a best friend named Popiti.

...so here's the fun bit:

Izzo confirmed that this "Popiti" is in fact Norm's kid!!

Apparently Popiti also has a sibling, and her mother/Norm's mate is from the Olangi clan (which makes sense given that the Visual Dictionary mentions Norm having a bunch of Olangi trinkets).

ngl I love this lore drop but now I have so many more questions also!! How old is Popiti (I assume close to Tuk's age since they're best friends but there's still some wiggle room there so)? Is her sibling older or younger and what's his/her name? If they're Norm's biological kids, do either of them have avatar features like Kiri and Lo'ak? What's Norm's wife's name, what's their story? Norm didn't get his consciousness permanently transferred like Jake did, so how does him switching between two bodies affect things? PLZ I NEED TO KNOW

Arguing with Marshall Mathers - Headcanon

Here is how I imagine he is during an argument 🙊. Please tell me what you think, what you’d add… I’m curious 👀

What he argues about

- Let me preface this by saying that this man almost enjoys arguing and fighting when he is in a relationship. He said it himself : he is a little more happy when he is angry.

- He actually bitches a lot. And sometimes, it turns into an argument.

- He is also extremely emotional. He might not always look like it but he actually has a deep emotional range and some things hit him hard.

- Basically, he feels a lot, and sometimes, it overflows.

- He is also really passionate about certain topics and issues.

- Marshall might be the wet dream of many, he is not that easy to put up with.

- Sometimes, silly things can become arguments. That’s one of his many talents : making things more dramatic.

- Deep down, he is not the most confident human being and he has a hard time dealing with criticism.

- His first instinct is to get defensive, before getting offensive.

- Arguing with him is not all bad though. Because that’s one of the ways he shows he cares. He will not waste time arguing if he doesn’t care about the person in front of him or the subject matter.

- So if the two of you argue about your relationship (within healthy boundaries of course) it’s actually a good sign.

- If he didn’t want things to work out, he wouldn’t spent time arguing with you.

- He is, admittedly, not the best when it comes to dating and relationships so that might fuel an argument or two.

- He is a workaholic so a couple of fights about his schedule and priorities wouldn’t be surprising if it interferes with your relationship (bailing on you, last minute changes of plans, him being not focused on you enough…)

How he is when he argues

- Marshall is definitely petty and loves to have the last word.

- We all know he has a way with words and he knows exactly what buttons to push to make you mad.

- If he is extremely angry, he might be hurtful, too. Only with his words, though.

- He will never hit you or get physical during an argument. Roughhousing is only ok in the bedroom.

- He has been abusive in the past but that’s not who he is anymore.

- Sometimes, though, you wish he would just hit you in the face because it would hurt less than some of the words he uses.

- Usually, though, he doesn’t actually want to hurt you and regrets his harsh words.

- He is good at using hurtful words but he rarely, if ever, insults you.

- He doesn’t mind if you insult him though. Call him an asshole all you want. If anything, it proves he managed to get on your nerves and he likes it.

- During arguments, he actually wants to feel seen and heard. He wants to know he impacts you.

- One way to get back at him (that he absolutely hates) is giving him the silent treatment. It makes him mad.

- He’d rather have you yell at him than ignore him.

- Basically, in his mind, arguing is caring.

- He also secretly likes it when you get just as petty as him.

- You swear he sees pettiness as a sport.

- Some petty ideas to get to him include

- Having a designated “Fuck You Marshall” playlist you blast around the house when you’re mad at him.

- Said playlist would include music by artists he has a feud with, diss tracks aimed at him… 👀. And some music he hates, too.

- Another way to really piss him off would be to talk ill of the Lions 🦁

- Anything light and petty is fair game.

- To be honest, he would probably find it hilarious and laugh about it afterwards.

- However there are some things you better not bring up during an argument because that will escalate very, very quickly.

- His family. You better leave his kids and his brother alone.

- If you have kids together, do not weaponize them against him. Don’t be toxic like that. Because he will not let you live it down.

- His past mistakes (abusive relationship, drug use…)

- He gets frustrated when he doesn’t manage to get his point across.

- During an argument, he is brutally honest with his feelings. No sugarcoating it.

- I can absolutely imagine him saying he loves you for the first time during an argument. He doesn’t mean to say it now but lets it slip.

- Safe to say that it puts an immediate end to the whole thing.

- (Now I want to write a one shot about this 🙈)

- He will absolutely annoy you on purpose.

- He is in his fifties but his inner annoying teenager comes out during an argument : rolling his eyes, sighing…

- There’s occasional yelling but not that much.

- If the argument is one-sided and you’re mad at him, he will absolutely try to make you laugh.

After an argument

- He doesn’t apologize easily. However, he knows when he is wrong.

- Oftentimes, he is better at showing you that he is sorry, rather than actually tell you.

- He will absolutely make it up to you with tons of attention and physical gestures.

- He might try to suck up to you with small gestures like a bouquet of flowers

- He is definitely into make up sex.

- Maybe that’s one of the reasons why he loves to argue so much.

- Overall, physical affection is a must in your relationship, especially after an argument. He needs it to feel that everything is ok between the two of you.

- Your arguments/fights might fuel his creativity. That’s the most efficient way for him to process things.

- However, you can and should expect him to take some creative liberties. He is going to make things seem bigger and more dramatic.

- Out of the two of you, he is probably the biggest drama queen 👀

i've been seeing a lot of falsettos posts recently deconstructing the fandoms beliefs and firstly

holy fuck thank you, i try to steer clear of fandom (and fandom-izing thereof) drama but this is getting a lot more visible recently so here's some little tidbits for you

whizzer brown is not an unflawed character!

okay so i haven't seen enough dissecting this but!!! in the chess game!

the whole point of marvin using that game to determine the ending of their relationship is because he suspects whizzer is constantly deceiving him and wants to prove it.

whizzer LITERALLY proves him right!

he asks marvin to help him along (yes i know he says he doesn't want help, hear me out, it's a little more complex than that) and takes advantage of the fact that marvin is- like- infatuated with him.

he draws him into a sense of false security then starts throwing accusations at him ("since you need a man!" "what?" "who's 'brainy'," "or witty, move.") until hes able to win, which he does with ease because he's been using marvin having this idea that he isn't smart against him.

of course, marvin's side of this isn't the best either but honestly, for once the fandom should focus on a different character when they think 'insane asshole'. typically we should also probably change our perspectives a little to be more unbiased cuz fr guys, this is getting really.. annoying.

i understand he's the most visibly flawed but that doesn't excuse constantly picking the worst parts of this musical (without other context, btw) to use against him.

and this post certainly isn't here to excuse anyone either i've just got a lot of opinions that i wanted to share while falsettos is.. trending? right?

2. marvin's (headcanoned but still somewhat researched) autism

this one isn't brought up as much but when i do see it around, it's kind of a skewed viewpoint.

while rewatching bits of the proshot i realized a lot of different neurodivergent traits that he shows-

he's helpless during I Never Wanted to Love You and is childish and regressive when he's upset (not every autistic person is like this either, i know this is a bit of a touchy subject so i just wanted to add that).

usually when people depict it i see it either toned down or joked about which is fine when all in good fun, and when its done respectfully.

not here to attack anyone, just here to point it out and say that yes :) he most likely is neurodivergent, but despite that his actions aren't condoned. he's still kinda a dick who needs to get his shit together

the girls in this musical are like thoroughly neglected and i think that's kind of shitty just assuming the fact that william finn put them in to demonstrate how gender roles put people in degrading positions (and he even makes it more prevalent by showing marvin as something like a misogynistic character who forces whizzer into more feminine roles to show the audience what woman have to/had to go through in society).

anyways, the lesbians aren't just there guys. they have a plotline too. in Something Bad is Happening, you derive a lot from charlotte singing about the outbreak of HIV/AIDS and realize how she operates on a daily basis (she's passionate about her work and takes every bad day as a hit to her life and career, explaining in a way that as a black, jewish, lesbian, FEMALE doctor in this time, everything that goes wrong is immediately brought down on her so much more than it would as any straight white male pharmacist-).

cordelia on the other hand has to handle the fact that her girlfriend is so adamant about her work ethic that she can't actually be super present in their relationship at times like that.

but either way she still sticks by her and is constantly trying to be supportive and endearing despite feeling like she's not amounting to her gf who's basically a hero in her eyes.

i kinda just wanted to bring that up because they mean a lot to me and they don't get enough love from the fanbase, thank you for listening to my TED talk <3

Actually, piggybacking off the wild card analysis, I think Levi can go anytime all the time. One of trauma responses tends to be hypersexuality (but I'm not a professional psychologist, so don't take my word for it). What if Idia added the school staff to the team to defeat Malleus? After all, the more, the merrier. How would they react about Idia’s video and everything else as well?

This is an idea I’ve actually discussed before (in the context of “would this actually happen in canon”)! So while I don’t think this would be canonized, I at least want to get my own thoughts and headcanons out there.

I feel like Crowley may have ulterior motives that have yet to be elaborated on, but assuming no such thing, he’s the comic relief of the group. Probably claims he is worried about Draconia-kun’s health + safety but in actuality he is worried about how a disaster of this scale could negatively impact NRC’s reputation and donors. (Also probably whines to Idia demanding to know why he didn’t include his dear old headmaster’s handsome visage in his explanation video.) But because he is such a maganimous headmaster, of course he will use the full extent of his magical might to properly punish the misbehaving Draconia-kun!

I’m not sure what Crowley’s dream would be since his backstory is so mysterious. By extension, that also means I’m not sure what would wake him up.

Crewel I think would be very mad. He taught his students better than this, how dare they betray Crewel-sama’s trust!! Since the Draconia pup has been so bad, it’s up to his owner (the game’s word choice, not mine 😭) to discipline him. You can only imagine how strongly worded his lecture would be… No holds barred. On a not-as-serious note, he has great fun with Idia’s Dream Form Change—they’re such fast wardrobe changes! Crewel even praises Idia for the innovation, but it makes Idia feel weird to receive compliments in this context…

As for Crewel’s dream… Well, since the dreams appear to be based on a shallow, convenient idea of the dreamer attaining happiness, perhaps Crewel stayed in the fashion industry and made it big. Like he owns his own popular fashion house or something, owns a house huge enough to house 101 dogs, never has to deal with the frustration of teaching or getting his student to behave ever again. Buuuut as we can see from his voice lines and vignettes, Crewel actually does like teaching (even though it’s tough on him sometimes) and, more than that, he loves seeing his pups learn and mature. He’d need to be reminded of the pride he feels when he sees his students succeed, and knowing that he had played an active role in shaping that success and interest in the sciences.

Trein would be the most interesting of the staff reactions, in my opinion. He would be able to relate a lot to Malleus’s struggle to accept loss, since Trein experienced the passing of his wife as well as the empty nest syndrome that comes with his adult daughters moving out. Because of this, I can easily see Trein empathizing with Malleus but also being extremely disappointed in him. He’d resolve to knock some sense into his student, and then deliver a harshly worded “tough love” lecture afterwards.

Trein’s dream would be so sad, man… Him living out a happy life with his wife and daughters, and then you have to come in knowing this peace has to be disrupted. Trein has been shown in the past—particularly when he interacts with Crewel and during GloMasq—that he cares deeply for his students and blames himself for failing to teach them right from wrong if they act out. Maybe the students would intentionally misbehave or act morally despicable in his presence, causing Trein’s emotions to get riled up. (After all, he did get pretty upset when his students suggested abandoning the flower infested city.)

Side note: both Crewel and Trein would worry about the health of their pets/familiar (Lucius) while they’ve been dreaming.

I unfortunately have a lot less to say about Vargas and Sam (since I feel like we don’t have enough significant lore about them to formulate concrete thoughts on this subject)… However, I do think that they’d be sort of similar in that while they do feel disappointed with what’s happening, they try to stay upbeat and optimistic about the circumstances. Like Vargas and Sam are encouraging everyone to keep their spirits high even if the chips are down! (Vargas in a more arrogant, “never fear, I am here!” way, Sam in a more “I’ll tell you some interesting stories to distract you” way.) If we wanna talk more superficially, Vargas might mention being worried about his irl muscles wasting away and Sam about his store and profits.

Of the two, I see Vargas leaning towards more disappointment and Sam being slightly impressed by what Malleus has pulled off. This is because Vargas strikes me as someone who values real, tangible gains rather than using shortcuts. That’s pretty self-explanatory from how he constantly talks about muscles, working out, and the effort it takes to get there. Sam is someone who also deals in desires + has a dark, mischievous sense of humor. He might take a look at the sheer scale of what Malleus has achieved and crack a joke about how he wishes he were the one that could take credit for it. If he had the power to make dreams come true… well then, there wouldn’t be a need to keep stuff in stock, now would there?

As is the case with Crowley, I feel like I don’t know enough about either Sam or Vargas to determine what a feasible dream for them would be. I guess maybe a world where everyone adores and fawns over Vargas like the village does for Gaston??? And maybe Sam is the one who ends up a super wealthy entrepreneur, although maybe there’s something more he wants if he’s actually indebted to his friends on the other side like Dr. Facilier is.

Anyway, those are my thoughts ^^

Beelzebub has a whole story dedicated to the cute guy who flirts with us. On the outside, he looks as chilled as ever, but there's an underlying menace lingering in the air. “Don't cross the line, or you'll be devoured.” You have to have some restraint, if you don't want this poor devil to end badly. Actually, no one knows what Beel is capable of, because the surrounding rumors say that he deprived one devil of the hand he used to hug you, and sewed another's mouth shut for daring to kiss you. But you know how exaggerated the rumors surrounding him are. He himself always behaved impeccably (as much as you say it about him) around you, and the fact that he clearly showed that you belonged to him... it only makes you wet, admit it.

Leviathan, oh well. If anyone *dared* to flirt with you near him, they would not only hang, but fly out the window and land on a wall. The only people he would not hang, because he cannot, are those who are equal in status to him, i.e. other kings. If he saw you flirting with one of them... remember how in ch4 Satan's wrath was so tremendous that it began to choke his subjects? This is exactly what would happen with Levi's jealousy. Except not only the devils who stand close will suffer, but half of Hades. Since he can't hang other kings, he could hang you... but with each king the scenario would be different, so it's hard to say in general. Either way, prepare for chaos.

Belial is very composed. He'll let you do whatever you want, after all, you're not married to him or anything. He just respects you and your freedom. You'd even think he didn't care when Jiyu stepped in. Without Belial's consent, of course. You only managed to hear “Know your place, your fucking maggot-!” before the noble catch him and silence him, blushing furiously. You see how he squeezed poor little thing so much that their eyes popped out of their sockets. You can't help but giggle, because it looks like someone is jealous after all.

Sitri will be both jealous and sarcastic. Very openly. He doesn't even try to hide it, the poor devil will be scolded and sent to help clean up the rubble or in the medical tent. War is neither the place nor the time for flirting! Especially if he's trying to flirt with you. Why did you even want to waste your time on him? You have so many nobles to choose from, aren't they good enough? Isn't he good enough? He needs to try even harder... And his spiral of overthinking continues until you dispel his doubts with a kiss.

First of all, who is your char? Are they Tav or Durge? How did the whole adventure changed them?

Celeste is a redeemed Dark Urge. In her past life, she served as the High Priestess of Bhaal for the Baldur’s Gate congregation, a role steeped in blood and cruelty. She abandoned that life, not solely through her own strength, but because of the influence and steadfast presence of the people who chose to walk beside her. She credits them with her change, though they would likely say the strength was always hers.

At her core, Celeste is a kind and gentle soul - traits that had been buried deep, crushed under years of violence and manipulation. Only now are they beginning to surface again, soft and unsure, but undeniably hers.

How were companions' quests completed? Did any of companions died?

Gale - was freed off the orb after handing the Crown of Karsus to Mystra. He became a Professor at Blackstaff while Celeste does her own (not entirely wise) things. They married and settled in Waterdeep, long and tearful story (that has to be rewritten)

Shadowheart - freed her parents and settled with them as well every animal that would follow her outside of Haven (former Reithwin). Arnell is the local Cleric and advises Halsin when he is not taking care of Emmeline.

Lae'zel remained a rebel and took the red dragons with her to fight for her course.

Astarion remained a spawn and lives in Baldur's Gate where he entertained himself by killing people for money. He spent time in Waterdeep regularly, surprisingly many people in Waterdeep have needs for his services.

Karlach went to Avernus with Wyll, to find the map to Zariel's forge and get a new heart. This took several years. Afterwards, they settle in Haven and have multiple children.

Jaheira never left Baldur's Gate but remained close with everyone else.

Who did they romance? Where do they and their LI live after game?

In the beginning, she’d slept with with Astarion. Whatever it had been, it softened into deep friendship.

Her heart had always tilted toward Gale, quietly, long before she understood what that pull meant. She hadn’t expected him to feel the same, and when he did,, she was more than surprised.

And then there is Halsin.

Loving him wasn’t a choice. An ache she couldn’t ignore, no matter how hard she tried. That love became the subject of many long and difficult conversations with Gale.

Do they have children or decided to be without them?

Celeste and Gale don’t have children of their own. Celeste knows the orphan children of Waterdeep her well. Gale never questions it. Over time, she gently nudges them toward Haven, to be taken into Halsin's care.

So, about Baldur's Gate! How is it going? Who is in a council? Who (from npcs we met in game) live there?

Never bothered to create this specific headcanon, to be honest. Councellor Florrick and Ulder Ravenguard are alive and well, so I boldly assume they took over the council.

Does your char and companions continue to connect after game or they prefer to not see each other?

All of the time. They meet in Have for most of the festivities and whenever something needs to build there quickly.

Both Celeste and Gale's tower in Waterdeep and a house in Haven provide a safe room for Astarion to rest in during the day.

Did they find any friends among npcs?

Arabella and Yenna went to Haven with Halsin (having nowhere else to go) and Dammon eventually settled in Haven as well, after helping rebuilding Baldur's Gate. (No cute story for Rolan, sorry).

Headcanon time!

The journey of Traveler, Leda and Si’ha to becoming what we know today.

I came up with an idea (more like a story plot) because I'm bored of waiting for some lore.

Melosia Realms is one of the most important Danceverses as is the “most close one” to Floworld, this gives them not only knowledge but power over others. However the fact that they can interact with the flow doesn't mean that they can control it so to keep their position as the most powerful of the Danceverses they expanded their knowledge and became the most powerful magic users. So to summarize: 

Flow users: born with it, still need training but they can perfectly overpass magic users if time is given.

 Magic users: needs to be learned, which is complicated if you aren’t born there.

Now, this has been happening for centuries. The level of magic that they use is impossible to reach unless you live 10 times longer than normal. This characteristic was something in Melosia Realms that was already resolved thanks to their enchantments which with the past of time started to blend with its users meaning that some families' descendants would naturally be born with unique powers and live longer, one of them being Si’ha family.

I have to add that even if they are the most powerful Danceverse they still have a strict rule to not abuse their powers. 

“ To whoever uses their powers without thinking in the consequences of their actions will be banished from the realms”

With all things considered, you can have an idea on how many problems did The Traveler involved. But first, their story.

Travel was a student of the magics of Meloisa Realms that was trying to level up his position as just one of the various powerful coaches around there. The requirements to study were becoming semi immortals (which meant if they had family with a normal life span then they would over live them, which was the case of The Traveler) and to have a close connection to the flow or be a powerful subject of magic. (Rare) 

There, Traveler and Si’ha meet. 

They weren’t exactly friends but they were both interested in the study of the other Danceverses so they became searching partners. Even so, that was the only thing both shared, Si’ha wanted to  form part of the government as a counsillor and she was already working on it, on the other hand Traveler still didn’t know what to do. But that changed when he created Discoball. 

Oh, yeah, also when he for some reason thinked that contacting the forbidden planet (Earth) was a good idea.

And then bringed some random girl to the Danceverses.

He probably was going to be exiled from Meloisa Realms if Si’ha didn’t save his ass at the last minute by showing to the gods Leda natural ability to interact with the flow (and of course the three of them omitted the part where she is able to open portals). Of course after that Si’ha made Traveler promise her that if another thing happened no one would come to help.

As we know, Leda and Traveler have a strong relationship ending up in them dating. HOWEVER I REFUSE TO SAY THAT CHILD IS HIS, SO JACK IS JUST SOME RANDOM KID THAT ENDED THERE THE SAME WAY LEDA DID BECAUSE BOTH OF THEM STILL ACTED IRRESPONSABLE.

They keep Jack, but this time Traveler admits that he was immature and wanted to bring Jack back home. Meanwhile Leda wants to keep Jack as she thinks she is doing him a favor by making him stay in the Danceverses. They are still together and things calm down (of course Jack is kept as a secret) until Cygnus shows Leda the vision about her becoming the ruler of the Danceverses (that’s how she interprets it). Then things get bad, REALLY BAD. 

Traveler searches for Leda as he doesn’t know about the vision, and when he is questioned by the gods on how he could have lost her then it’s revealed that she knew how to open portals. Although he isn’t exiled on the spot, he’s  told to not only bring Jack back to Earth but also Leda, and if he was successful on his mission then maybe he would be pardoned. 

Don’t mind me, I just like to fill up the gaps of the storyline with my own headcanons.

Do we think Mimzy knew Alastor was a serial killer when they were both alive? I know she called him a heartless son of a bitch but she also said he's a total sweetie underneath all that, two very different statements, like could it be that she knew Al as a sweetheart when he was alive and then learned about the darker side of him and why he's there when they reunited in hell?

I headcanon that Mimzy did know Alastor was a serial killer when they were alive, and that not only did she know, she even helped him on several occasions.

I also headcanon that her reliance on Alastor taking care of all her problems started when they were alive too. I imagine them as being really close friends who helped each other a lot at first, especially in hard times, but after Alastor offered to "get rid" of someone who was making her life hell, she started using him as a way to get rid of anyone who had a problem with her or inconvenienced her.

She got into more and more trouble because Alastor always got her out of it--be it through murder of a lot of smooth talking--which is where the habit first developed. Since they're now in Hell, well, Alastor doesn't have to rely to use smooth-talking anymore, he can just outright kill them. Problem solved. So much easier.

In the show, Mimzy told Alastor that he "loved taking care of her," and I actually believe it. I think Alastor does like taking care of the people he cares about, and he will go to any extent to make sure they're taken care of, which is why he never told her no or let her reap the consequences of her own actions.

Their friendship started out sweet and sincere, but overtime it became toxic. Like Husk said, Mimzy only shows up when she's in trouble, meaning she doesn't ever visit Alastor unless she needs something from him (which is so interesting, because in the same episode Charlie mentioned that Lucifer only called her if he wanted something or needed her to do something--which is exactly like Alastor's relationship with Mimzy. These two relationships are parallels of each other. And, by the end of the episode, both of these relationships had changed for the better - with Alastor setting a boundary and telling Mimzy to leave because she brought trouble to a place he doesn't want trouble, and with Charlie reconnecting with her dad and Lucifer supporting her dream and getting her the meeting with Heaven).

Back to the original subject, Mimzy's both dependent on Alastor and his power and she exploits it for her own gain. What's worse is that Alastor knows this. He knows she only ever visits when she needs him to clean up her mess, but he does it without question or hesitation anyway.

Another headcanon: even though Alastor knows she's using him to clean up her messes, he still happily does it because he doesn't see it as a bad thing. She's his oldest friend and she's in trouble (even if she was the cause of it). He's an Overlord, he has all of this power, why wouldn't he use it to get rid of a few demons? He can do it so easily, it's hardly even a chore. It doesn't matter how much trouble Mimzy gets into, because dealing with the problem is as easy as a snap of his fingers. Of course, she would come to him, she knows he can handle it. She knows he has to power to intimidate any gang lord, tear apart any loan shark, or annihilate any demon who's giving her too much of a hard time to handle on her own.

They both continue this cycle of toxicity because neither of them see's it as toxic. It's what they've been doing since they were alive. It's natural for them. It's normal. It's become such an integrated part of their relationship, that it doesn't even register as bad.

I hope we see more of Mimzy in the future and learn more about Alastor's backstory. I have so many thoughts.

Spawn Astarion + His Siblings Headcanons

Time for Spawn Astartion, his headcanons are probably going to be the lightest this far, mind you I am writing this before I actual write the headcanons so this is subject to change. Unless of course it doesn't!

When I do Ascended Astarion, there is going to be a lot of warnings but that is Ascended Astarion. We are letting this vampire man be happy five minutes before we go into what happens if his life gets ruined.

There is a mention of the slimmest piece of shit. The rattest of rat bastard: Cazador. Only mentioned.

Discussing Astarion's relationship with sex. Not sex itself, there is nothing safe for work, just how Astarion is most definitely demi-sexual.

This is going to be tooth rotting:

Astarion is trying so fucking hard to be a good boyfriend. Do you have idea how much he is trying? He has no idea what he is doing, he meant that so he tries to figure it out by doing everything he can for you.

This man will wait on you hand and foot and I am serious.

He loves to do it too. You are the first thing to make this man feel safe, loved and wanted in 200 years. You have aided him in getting free from the tadpole in his head, the Absolute nonsense, his past, his tormentor, that ritual and, perhaps most importantly:

"So by all means dear, sit down, relax," he guides you to sit down on the couch. "This is the least you deserve. Besides I do think you have a few friend who would be happy to be lathered in your lovely attention well I make dinner," of course he is referring to Scratch and Owlbear cub. He will give you a kiss on the cheek as he goes to make you dinner.

Of course afterward he is done with dinner, he joins the cuddle pile. giving you kisses and praises... If you are gracious enough to allow him a nibble he certainly will not deny though.

This to be said even after all this time he is not used to receiving affection and positive attention back. Not anything genuine at least and so it can take him... time to get used to receiving your touch.

Oh the man loves it. Do not get it right you make him feel... wanted. He is just not used to that feeling. So sometimes he may flinch away from you when you try to be soft with him. He doesn't want you to feel offended and does assure you "It is in no way you, my beloved, it is all me."

Give him time and he always does come seek out your touch eventually. He does thrive on the warm you make him feel with your softer moments.

Astarion notices he is slowly becoming... good. He hates it. He does like it, but he really hates it

One day he was walking home after getting groceries from the night market and saw someone dropped their wallet, and with out thinking, he returned the wallet. He got thanked and walked away with out even realizing what he did and then he just.

Stops.

He debates on going back and stealing the wallet back. He can, he knows he can... but he just.... doesn't. He just goes home and isn't sure what he just did and man may have a crisis.

"Don't worry about me, dearest!" if you try check on him. "I just did a good thing with out reason and I am not taking it well- give me a minute. I do want to discuss this!"

He becomes very clear with his emotions and tries not to hide them with you at all. He will tell you what he is thinking, when he is thinking and makes sure you expect complete honesty from him. You have shown him all and more trust in the world.

He did try to kill you at minimum twice and he was fully intent on using you. He still feels... guilty about those things as much as he tries to deny it. And he does talk with you about it when it comes up. Because he trusts you.

He honestly trusts you. It means the world to him that despite how little he deserves it, you showed him trust. And he is so happy you are here with him.

Astarion tends to go hunting a lot in peaceful times. He is still a vampire and even with out the blood lust of hunger he sometimes just... needs to kill something. A predator instinct that is going to be with him as long as he is a vampire.

Not that he minds. Going hunting for animals, sometimes monsters, and any nasties who are stupid enough to try and attack him make him feel excited.

He keeps his promise not to attack innocent of course and has saved a few lives by his hunting. Whether it be a child who got lost in the woods at night, or perhaps a foolhardy adventurer. A lot of these you wouldn't have known about if it weren't for the fact the people he has saved have stopped by during the day, bringing by gold or gifts as a reward.

Astarion never expects it but it makes him... happy. It makes him really happy.

Take him shopping when you get to Baldur's Gate. Like, do it, please. Take him to the Facemake Boutique and let him pick out his own, nice clothes and maybe some dye.

Oh the man is more than ecstatic. His appearances matters to him, it makes to him a lot. If you have no, read the description on his clothes: it made me cry.

He does cry about it afterwards . He will just be sitting on his bed at the Elf Song, staring at his old clothing , clothes he struggled to keep nice and now he has nice clothes from someone he cares about that he got to pick out.

It gets and makes you so many gifts. He will go to Halsin, whether you are in a relationship with him or not, and ask him to help him learn how to skin animals and begin using the pelts and leathers of animals he kills. (if you are also dating Halsin, it is a wonderful bonding activity for the two of them).

Man does sew and has been stitching up your clothes during the adventure. Even before he realized he was in love. He noticed a rip on your camp outfit and "Give that here, I will fix it for you."

He fixes your clothes with embroidery. He adds something that reminds you of him to your outfit and just hands it over to you, muttering how you need to be more careful with your clothing. And now he will ask if he can add a bit more flare to your outfits.

Man has a lot of fears that he doesn't realize are fears until they come up again. They were things that he accepted as life and now he doesn't have too, he is terrified of them. Please protect him.

So this is you decided to not kill the vampires. I personally could not kill the vampires:

Knocking on the door is never an expected sound. Most people tended to leave you, Astarion(and Halsin) alone. Especially when it is the middle of the night. But when Astarion answered the door well.

"May... may we come in?"

"What in the bloody hells are you doing here?"

He never expected to see his brother or sisters again after you had convinced him to spare them. And if he did see them again he didn't expect them to show up at his house! He.... debates before he lets them in.

He is on edge about it as he officially introduces you to his family. You all really did not have any time for names or such when Cazador was still alive but now you are. He allows them to stay for dinner.

His siblings wanted to come thank you, officially and more completely than last time. And also get to know whoever the hell managed to give Astarion hope again.

It is extremely awkward at first, there isn't even enough room for them at the dinning table but.... you guys just start chatting about how life has been since things ended.

You hear about the vampires, how they are doing, and you get to meet his siblings. They are all damaged people but they are... nice people. Astarion is... kind of glad that they came.

Perhaps... they can have a relationships. Not forced siblings but... friends.

So I have this Headcanon for Adam, Since he was, to put it bluntly, made to have sex, I like to think that the only way he knows how to handle his feelings is to have sex. And since we all know Adam is not one to express his feelings, like at all, I think if he was ever sad he would just be really overly sexual as a way to push down his feelings/not let people see how he feels.

So I was thinking, a story based during that weird period in Eden where Eve just ate the apple/betrayed Adam but Lucifer+ Lilith haven’t been banished yet. Angel! Reader has been Adam’s friend for a while, so of course he checks in on him after he loses another wife.

Adam is upset because of it (who can blame him honestly) and when Reader asks if he wants to talk about it, Adam being Adam try’s to change the subject by flirting/coming on to the Reader. (Maybe even more so than when he did with Eve or in the past, Lilith, because he doesn’t want to feel all of the pain he’s going through. Reader being the only one he truly trust now could also play a factor)

But Reader shuts it down, not because he doesn’t like Adam that way, he really does, but because he knows Adam isn’t in the right place mentally to consent to that. So Reader decides to take Adam to a nice spot and just holds Adam gently as he sings him a comforting lullaby till he falls asleep in his arms. Vowing to always be by his side.

I honestly love Angsty Eden! Adam. Where he’s not the complete Asshole he is in the show but he’s not as pure and happy as he was when he was first created. Being cheated on twice really did a number on him 😭😭 it’s completely fine if you don’t want to do this request btw!! love your works 💛💛

The only logical way for Adam to express his feelings was sex. It didn't matter how he was feeling, whenever strong emotions welled up inside of him and he needed to get them out of his system sex was the solution. And that had worked out fine for a long time - it had worked out with Lilith and it had continued to work out with Eve.

But then things fell apart when Eve took the apple Lucifer offered her. It was weird to walk over the solid ground of Eden knowing fully well that the people who were responsible for the chaos and for shattering Adam’s heart once more were still allowed to walk on the same divine ground as he did. He was convinced that consequences would come but as for that moment, Lilith and Lucifer remained pure, a thing that bothered Adam even more.

They broke the rules - Eve ate the apple, Lilith cheated on him with an angel and Lucifer had tempted both of them to commit sinful acts, acts that were greedy and selfish, acts that would stain the first and second women’s souls forever. There was no such thing as redemption for them, human or not, and Adam was quite fond of that knowledge. And yet he hated it with all of his guts because losing one wife was one thing, losing two wives the other. He would end up alone again, once the mighty ones were to make their decisions. Loneliness and emptiness would come around to swallow his heart again - would God love his creation enough to give him a third wife? Maybe a husband this time to try and see if he would stay? Adam wasn’t sure. He wasn’t sure if he even wanted to offer his heart to a third person - what if he would end up hurt regardless? He was not strong enough to handle another rejection. At that very moment he wasn’t strong enough to handle anything. He felt alone, his soul felt shattered, broken, just like his heart and he wanted to fill the void and numb the pain.

You were watching your favorite human through the orb that was showing you what Adam was doing - he seemed unstable and in need of assistance and given that Lucifer was no longer allowed to talk to the first man, you had been tasked with assisting the brunette - a thing you had been looking forward for quite a while. So without further ado you opened a gleaming portal and decided to pay your beloved little human a visit.

“Adam,” you smiled at the brunette who turned around to face you. His body seemed to visibly relax at the pure sight of you, clearly happy to see you. And yet his little smile dropped as you continued to speak, “I heard what happened to Eve.” Slowly you walked towards the first man, your hands reached out for the first human hands God had created.

You squeezed them lighty, just enough to let the brunette know you’re there for him, that he is not alone and for as long as you exist he will never be alone again. “Let’s forget about Eve,” he hummed, swallowing the pain he was feeling like a pill, pushing his negative feelings out of the way to make room for the love he held in his heart for the only creature who had proven to be loyal and honest - you.

The touch on your hand that had started out soft grew firm as Adam pulled you in, causing you to crash right into him.

One arm of his wrapped around your waist like a snake, keeping you in place as he pushed his hips flush against yours. He desperately needed to get the pain out of his blood flow, he needed you to take the pain from him - he wasn't strong enough to handle it alone, not with everything going on. He needed- he wanted- he- what was it that he needed and wanted? “Adam,” your voice sounded so soft, so pure and beautiful it caused him to snap out of the haze.

Your hands were resting on his shoulders, gently pushing him away from your body - that was not what Adam needed. He needed you close, needed you all over him. He felt like he was drowning in sadness, anger and pain and you were the only thing that kept him breathing. So out of reflex he dug his nails into your skin, trying his very best to keep you close, he could not bear to lose you too, not when he had already lost so much.

He craved you, desired you, he wanted your hands on him in more gentle ways, in more sexual ways. “Please,” was all the brunette was able to whisper as he rutted his hips against yours, desperation was written all over his face and his eyes were begging you. Begging for you to take the pain away, to make it all stop. They were begging you to make him forget - Adam wanted to forget. He wanted the memories of Lilith and Eve he had stored in his mind and in his heart to disappear, a wish you were not able to fulfill.

“Adam my dear,” you mumbled, your soft voice sounded heavy, sad, real. It sounded too real to Adam’s ears and yet he found himself unable to tune it out. One of your hands softly moved up the first man’s neck to cup his face, eagerly the brunette leaned into your warm touch - that was exactly what he needed. “Let’s talk about it, shall we?” But the brunette just shook his head at your words, as one of his hands grabbed the wrist of the hand that was cupping your face to guide it to his mouth.

Just as he was about to suck two of your fingers between his lips you pulled away from his grip - not violently, just firm enough to make a statement. Having sex with Adam in general wasn’t the problem, you two had done it before and under different circumstances you would’ve given your consent. But Adam was unstable, sex would only destroy him more, no matter what he thought. And so you did not give in even though the brunette did manage to get certain reactions from your body. Your wings were puffy and your dick was slowly growing hard - but you wanted Adam to feel better not worse and despite his beliefs he would feel worse after it.

“We won’t have sex my love, no matter how often you beg for it,” your hand found its way back to his cheek, gently cupping his face as you kissed his lips quickly yet lovingly. Adam was about to lean into the soft gesture and deepen it but you pulled away before he could, a soft chuckle vibrated through your body at the look of his face. “Come on my little star, I will accompany you for the rest of the night.” Adam was eager to take your hand and followed your lead without a second thought, he was simply enjoying the fact that he was not alone and you were not leaving him all to himself in a situation like that.

Once the both of you reached a small lake that was surrounded by trees and therefore shielded from any curious eyes that might be roaming Eden’s ground you sat down in the grass, enjoying the beauty of nature - Adam seemed hesitant for the first time. Would he push too far if he were to ask you to hold him? Would he- his train of thoughts was interrupted by your voice - the sadness was gone and what remained was joy, “Lay down on me, beautiful.” That you didn’t have to repeat, it only took the brunette seconds to sit down next to you and rest his head in your lap. Your hands found their way into his soft messy hair, playing with the brown fluff on the first man’s head as he hummed, visibly enjoying the soft touches despite them being non-sexual.

And when your beautiful voice started to sing the most divine sounding melody, Adam knew he was done for, there was no turning back for him anymore. His eyes slipped close as he drank in the sound of your voice paired with the singing of the birds in the background and it only took him a couple of minutes to fall asleep.

Ok so, a week ago I made a post saying I would maybe do a redesign of Lancelot. Here it is, a bit failed because I had an exam week in the last 7 days so don't pay attention to Lancelot, less than failed, face.

First of all, I made him have an undershirt because my poor baby must be so cold in winter. It was gifted by Tristan who had the same reasoning as me. It's a white shirt with long sleeves, with little details in red on the arms. The wings drawing and details are made with silver strands ( in one of the books of the Arthurian Legend, I think it was in Tristan and Iseult, we can see a character sewing a piece of their own hair into the thread they're using for embroidery. I think it would add to their closeness if Tristan do it.) The drawings on the back are to symbolise his mother's side ( and because it's extremely funny to me to have a sort of coquette undershirt when the whole style is badass as f ).

I didn't put the buttons on his sweatshirt because it didn't make any sense to have any. Other than that I didn't change anything.

I made him have a blue collar like in his fox self because I thought it was cool to have it but I didn't know where it was coming from.

Of course FANGS. He has a fox appearance, his father has fangs, so I want him to have some too. Again with his father's genes, he's tall, very tall, 2m02 at least.

Now to the technical alterations.

We cannot see it clearly but I made him have arm protections on the interior of his (usual) spot for arrows. On both arms because he should be able to use his bow in both ways since he learnt to be ambidextrous.

I made him have a sort of glove to protect his fingers while pulling on the string of his bow, it's a protection we use nowadays but even before I think. Something we only use now ( still I think because I'm not an historian but I didn't find any information on it, maybe because I only know the name of it in french, but even when I looked up archery accessories it didn't pop up so if anyone knows what it's called in English please tell me), it's a little string which attach to your index finger and your thumb so even if you let go of your bow ( which you're supposed to do while pulling on the string), you don't lose it. Again, I made him have both on both hands since he should be able to shoot in both ways.

His fox self ( even if we can't really tell here ) is really red, and he looks more like a fox and bigger. I didn't change that his eyes are closed, because I don't want another look at this nightmare which is a fox with human eyes ever again.

To finish, I'm going back to the undershirt. The little details on the sleeve are just a decorative choice. But the ribbons have a purpose, still to make it look coquette but also to make the shirt more fitting. If I learnt one thing with my 6 years of archery is that you shouldn't be shooting an arrow if you're wearing baggy clothes: a dress, a sweater, a little too big shirt, it will have a risk of getting stuck in the string. Even more if you don't shoot with both feet on the ground and with a good position. Lancelot does stunts and acrobatics all the time, it would be more likely to happen to him than me or any other archer now. I made the ribbons longer to be able to see it but he would probably just stick it in his trousers to not be bothered by it. I see Lancelot as someone very practical: he has the same clothes from 6 years ago, he has nothing else on him than practical things like incantation orbs or weapons. In my headcanons, it would be the liones royal family who would take care of him while he searches for Jericho and Dubs, to remind him he is still a kid even if he has responsibilities.

HEADCANON TIME

Anomaly (noun):

"Something different, abnormal, peculiar, or not easily classified; something anomalous."

"The legend of the hybrids is a story that has lived in Paldea longer than most. In an age long past, there was once a fearsome group of monstrous creatures; monsters that bore the forms of Incineroar, that spoke the dialect of humankind. They terrorised villages and destroyed homes, and were hunted down to what was thought to be their extinction. Some say they can still hear the horrifying screams of these abominations in caves and cliff edges to this day, but none who explore these rumours have ever come back..."

Characters (in order): Nemona, Arven, Kieran

The reader is referred to with he/him pronouns, but is otherwise kept ambiguous in terms of everything but the fact that he is VERY tall. This is purely platonic!!

NEMONA is the first to meet you.

I think she would meet you in the beach area we find Korai/Miraidon

It was by complete accident, she was walking around and exploring when she suddenly heard what sounded like human voices echoing from off the ledge, so she investigated, worried that someone was hurt.

What she didn't expect was to see a group of people, with arms that faded into red paws, legs that did the same, tails that swished around, a fiery belt around their waists and two red and black ears coming out of short, thick red hair!

You locked eyes, and both of you were very nervous immediately. She had so many questions! But by the time she could get her brain back together to formulate any sort of a sentence, you and your pride took off into the caves.

She doesn't see you again for a few months - she almost thinks she dreamt the whole day up - until she's exploring those exact caves in search of some houndour to catch.

She's overencumbered, of course, because suddenly their houndoom appears and they're all surrounding her and her pokemon, and she knows she's definitely screwed up

Suddenly, there's a loud, earth-shaking roar, as you emerge with your pack at the cave's only other exit. The pack of hounds flinch at your intimidating forms and flee, and you make sure they stay gone before cautiously helping this human off of the ground.

She's stunned. The rambler can't form a thought. You tower over her, and your form fills her head with so many questions that she's afraid her head will explode, but again, you're gone before she can even get them out.

So, she starts staying around the cave when she knows it's safe. She finally has the courage and the power to stop her brain from frying when she sees you, so she wants to get to know you. You see her, of course, from afar, but you don't go near her. The humans can't know.

Until she finds you anyway, and she tries to introduce herself.

You're cautious. This woman is half your height, you could literally crush her, but she's holding out her hand to you and telling you her name, as if that idea isn't looming above her like a vice. It is. She's very scared.

"....[Y/N]." You caution, shaking her hand as she beams. "So you can talk!?" She asks, making you cringe from her volume. "Yes?" You say.

From there, you grow to be unlikely friends. She swears she won't tell anyone who you are! She swears she won't let anyone know she's seen you - it'll be your little secret!

Yeah. Guess how long that lasted. Now take that guess and halve it. It took three days for her to crack and spill to Arven. Penny overheard by pure accident, too, and Nemona made them swear to not tell anyone.

"Didn't you also swear that?!" Arven had demanded. Nemona immediately changed the subject.

Finding two more humans in your den was irritating, but Nemona made you feel like you couldn't stay mad at her. This, in turn, made you even more frustrated.

Nemona likes to feel your fur and insists you're so soft that she feels like she can go to sleep on you. You deny her that leisure as soon as you can.

She likes learning about how you and your pack live, coexisting with other pokemon. You tell her it's an oddly isolating life; stuck between pokemon and human with no way of ever fitting into either category. It's why you live in this cave. It's safer here.

"Isn't it...lonely?"

"...yes. it is. but it's necessary for our survival as a pack."

Nemona feels very sorry for you, but makes up for it by always sneaking off to hang with you as much as she can.

You find you like the insight these new humans have, so you don't mind their stay.

ARVEN is very intimidated when he meets you.

For a researcher, you would've thought Nemona's story about Pokehumans would be completely blasphemous to him.

You would be wrong.

He believed her instantly, without so much as a photo of proof. It was Penny who managed to get him to realise how off that sounded.

The three of them took to researching anything about these supposed hybrids that they could. Arven was the one to find the old folkstory. It scared him.

"Nemona, you can't go back there. Look at this! These things are obviously just trying to kill you!"

Nemona is VERY quick to jump to your defense. "Arven! He saved me from those houndour and houndoom I was trying to fight! He saw that I could've been hurt and he stepped in and saved me!"

Penny remarked the unusual behaviour.

Arven wasn't buying your charity act.

"Until I see proof that these things exist, let alone are docile, I'm not believing a word." He crossed his arms.

"Great, come meet them then!"

"What?!"

And thus, Nemona and Arven set off while Penny did more research into the beings.

When your new human friend arrives to your spot in the cave, you see she's dragging along with her a blond haired man. This sets you on edge, and unfortunately, you and your pack immediately rising to defend your home gives off a bad first impression.

Arven tries to pull Nemona away, to escape, to fight back, to hide, to do anything but stand there and try to reason with them Nemona please for the love of Arceus let's GO

Nemona apologises to you for accidentally spilling your secret and it takes quite a while for you to tell your pack to stand down. You come to face them, and Arven stares at you with unhidden horror. You huff. He flinches with a whimper.

"[Y/N], this is Arven. Arven, this is [Y/N]. He leads the pack." Nemona's voice is steady but it's easy to see she's nervous. You can basically smell the fear on them.

It takes an even longer while for Arven to calm down enough to look at you properly. Multiple visits, where you aren't alone together, and then he eventually realises you don't pose a threat unless he does, which, to be fair, in your eyes he never did.

(you're pretty sure you could blink and he'd disintegrate. you don't say this, for fear that the idea will have the same effect.)

Eventually, you warm up to him and his Mabostiff companion, and he warms up to you enough to be alone with you and the pack.

He sews up some of your clothes, noticing the wear and tear of them. Like most of your interactions, it takes a while for you to let him, but once you do, he acknowledges the trust you have in him and is very careful.

Before long, he becomes your medic too. He teaches you about these wonderful things called sandwiches that you have in these events deemed picnics, and in turn he notes your behaviours and temperaments.

It's a mutually beneficial relationship. You trust him and he trusts you. He becomes your second "friend".

[For this next segment, I am going to say that the preface is that Carmine and Kieran are looking into urban legends around Paldea and they come across the one about your pack. This next section is assuming Nemona, Arven and Penny either never found you, or found you later. Consider this the other path in the road if you will! :)]

KIERAN meets you in the plateaued mountains of Paldea, on a mission to prove you're real.

In hindsight, the circumstances could've been better.

He'd been injured on the mountains by a rogue Zigzagoon, and he was currently trying to call for help.

No, as in, he was yelling 'Help'. He's a kid without a phone, man.

You hear his cries and, against your better judgement, you command the pack to hide and look for the voice yourself.

Lo and behold, you find a small boy, no older than a kit, and he's bleeding around his leg. A Dipplin and a Grigar are looking on in concern for their trainer, and, though weakened, they jump to defend when they see you approach.

Alerted by the sounds of his pokemon amping to attack, he looks and he sees you, the terrifying hybrid creature he'd read about in tales of old.

In those tales, this was the part where he became a fatality.

He was paralysed with fear, the pain of his leg long forgotten as he stared up at you.

Death never came. Instead, you kneeled and spoke to the offensive Pokemon. Just like the stories, you spoke perfectly human. Your voice was gravelly and rough, but completely comprehensible.

"He needs assistance."

The Pokemon spoke back to you. You seemed to dislike their answer.

"I do not wish to hurt him. If you want that wound to get worse, then I'll leave. But if you want that kit to keep that leg of his, I can help."

Kieran's Pokemon looked back at his trembling form, before resigning to a nod. You turned your gaze to focus on the boy, who seemed to be on the verge of a heart attack.

"I can help you, young one."

He shook his head.

"Your leg. It is bleeding."

Hating the way his words failed him, he slowly nodded.

"If you do not let me help you, that will hurt more and it will get worse. You cannot get to a Pokemon Centre from here by yourself. Allow me to help you."

Grigar and Dipplin had returned to his side and offered their concerned support once again. Soothed very slightly by his Pokemon, Kieran swallowed the lump in his throat and slowly, he nodded.

You were careful with the kit. You took him first to your pack and used some natural resources to bandage the wound and stop the bleeding. You crafted a stilt to keep his leg from moving with some wooden crutches, and then you left him near the edge of the woods, near a centre, where his Pokemon could then aid him in getting him the rest of the way.

In that time, he'd asked you some questions.

"How long have you been out here?"

"Centuries."

"And...you don't ever get seen?"

"We do. Most of your kind is violent first without thinking. That lack of trust almost made me not help you. But to go as low as those who cross that line would be to prove them right."

"So...you helped me to prove them wrong?"

"No, young one. I helped you because it's the right thing to do, and you are only small."

He was tended to quickly when he was seen by his own kind. Questions were thrown at him without even so much as the minute it took to sit him down. "Who bandaged this? Where did you learn to make these crutches? How did you get back down here without encountering any more trouble?"

He looked back at where he could faintly see your outline. You were watching him to make sure he was safe.

"...I just did." He said, refusing to elaborate.

With a nod, you disappeared into the woods, and the boy never saw you again. He didn't need to. He had all the proof he needed, and it'd stay with him for the rest of his life.

He could feel you watching him sometimes, when he was exploring the plateau with his sister. But he never really saw more than a flickering trail of embers or a rogue tail swishing as you undoubtedly left for your pack.

Your protection made him smile.

Okay so first and foremost, where are Penny and Carmine??

To be completely honest, I didn't know how to write either of them in this situation! I felt that Penny would be much like a diluted version of Arven, and that Carmine would be almost identical to Nemona, and maybe it's just my brain but I couldn't figure how to articulate that. So my sincerest apologies for that.

Otherwise, I hope that this was a nice little read! I liked the idea of trying to figure out how to hybrid an incineroar with a human, and I found a lot more trouble in it than I initially thought I would!

Would you like some strangely elaborate specific ass headcanons? Of course you do!!!! Also I'm outsourcing a very specific dilemma. But you have to Learn My Methods first. Okay? Okay!!!!

PIERCINGS. AS STORYTELLING DEVICES. GO!!!!

Okay! So what the hell are we looking at and what exactly am I trying to determine, here? Well!!! There's a few different facets to this.

FIRST OF ALL. REALLY REALLY CUTE AND ALWAYS SO FUN TO ME

One, two, three!!! They're a set of three, and they're marked as such by how many sets of piercings they have in their ears. It's such a small detail that happened more by coincidence than intent, but it makes drawing all three of them together feel coherent and again, fun! I also really like the storytelling/contrast of the Askr siblings having golden jewerly, while Moe's is in silver (it does mix silver and gold more broadly -- but I'm talking just the face/ears here!). You get the sense (... in addition to Moe's more scruffy appearance in general), that one is from a more "common" background.

Okay, but what's all that text? STORYTELLING.... 2

Piercings, as a way to indicate connections to other characters, and to imply background information.

First example, it's noted that Bruno has had his in for a long time (... kind of regretting the specificness of "as a kid". That's supposed to have implications, but tbh it may be more fitting for Bruno as a whole to simply have said, "A Long Time"). He wears something modest, maybe a common stone, but still eye-catching. I like to think Alfonse became enamored with it (guys can also do this???), same way he was completely smitten by all of Zacharias. One extremely questionable piercing job courtesy of Zacharias himself and egged on by Sharena (who made a generous donation and/or sacrifice from her own jewelry box) later, it's a miracle he managed to heal them. Equally impressive is how long he managed to hide them as a teenager.

Meanwhile, you see Sharena's example is pretty straightforward! Assigned ear-stabbing at birth. It worked out well, though! Aside from that one time where her piercings mysteriously closed up and they had to be re-done, when she was little. Which could mean nothing. Alls well that ends well! In fact, she liked the look so much she decided to get another set done! Which may or may not come back later...

I will admit, the saddle plugs on Bruno were an impulse decision I made drawing this out (so not a super strong design headcanon, and maybe I could draw it better w more practice tbh, test run ect ect), BUT. MORE IMPORTANTLY. That idea, AND NEXT UP: STORYTELLING... 3.

On top of noting significant connections and providing background information -- here, you have gaining more and/or doing different Things with your piercings, as a way to indicate the passage of time or a change of taste. Woah, that's a lot of text! That's just my autism showing, I'll do you a favor -- with Moe specifically, the biggest takeaway here is:

One, two, three. There are other iderations of Moe of course, plenty of awkward in-between stages. But as I've developed it, I've found that there's like... three really plot relevant parts of its life. One easy to forget, two OH GOD OH FUCK, three that's the guy who lives here now. AWESOME!!!!

OKAY. OKAY. PEONY she has BEEN HERE THIS WHOLE TIME. What's up with that?

So we have background implications/information, we have connections to other characters, and NOW. WE HAVE. Paths that diverge. Sharena, 2. Peony, 1. Plus, a little bit of shape language with those tear drop earrings... on Sharena specifically...... ohghhghhf........

I've always been really indecisive with my Peony designs (for some reason it has been SUCH A STRUGGLE FOR ME), but I do like the simplicity of this one actually. The "Princess Peach core" note about Sharena is more about her color palette, but after writing that I went You know what. Fuck it *gives Peony Princess Peach earrings*. This does feel subject to change, but the idea they could be like water droplets is so cutes... I have really wanted to give Peony earrings with a blue gem though, BECAUSE...

The blue and silver are a nod to this reoccurring detail on Peony! So not only does it tie back to Sharena (IMPORTANT), it also (theoretically.) ties together nicely overall!!

Okay. So. Where does this leave me. Why did I draw all this out? All these little details that exist in my mind, why did I go out of my way to create this elaborate in-depth demonstration? Remember when I said I was gonna outsource some shit?

But then. Then. I got autism brained about it. I can see Bruno having fuck all time to stretch his ears while on some gayass journey (... the. Timelines. Time in between Events. Maybe he wouldn't have full big stretched ears in Book 1. HOWEVER). Inconvenient, maybe, but if he's dedicated to the grind. He can do it. And I mean, have you seen his muscles? Dude CARES about his appearance. Meanwhile Moe ABSOLUTELY had fuck all time to stretch its ears before arriving in Askr. Then I'm thinking about Alfonse. NEVERMIND how much time it takes to stretch your ears, I'm thinking about the Number Rules. I'm thinking about how he's One, the first guy of a set of Three. I'm thinking about the Number Rule, to indicate Time. Why WOULD he have Three? The Number Rule, as Paths Diverging. There's Two of him, not Three. Alright so,

This became a little pet project to indulge on both of my active fixations. It has turned into a secret ploy to keep RC9GN from completely leaving as a hyperfixation because the series and its fandom changed everything for me- I'd hate to leave it behind, but here we go...

This is mostly for me to toss out ideas; if I keep going back and forth between subjects, I am deeply sorry pfft. Also keep in mind this may be a fanfic so I won’t be sharing everything!

Timeline

~ This is set post-canon when it comes to RC9GN! McFist and Viceroy are still active as villains, but have gradually calmed down since the Sorcerer's defeat. Randy is 15 at the moment

~ He's also a sophomore or borderline close to entering junior year because of when I decided his birthday was

~ This also takes place post-canon for Wordgirl unless I decide to change my mind about it! Currently, the idea is that she's 12 or so when the crossover starts! She's at the cusp of reaching high school

Now onto the main order of things!

~ As a result of it being summer, the Botsford's (including Huggy) take a trip to Norrisville, OK. Granted, the history of the Ninja isn't shared across other cities - due to ahems certain reasons which will be disclosed later

~ the Ninja is going through a period of inactivity, but of course this won't last forever. Unfortunately, it does mean Randy's a bit paranoid about an attack happening unexpectedly

~ The Botsford's are staying at one of the hotels owned by McFist on the pretense of I said so and well, a lot is sponsored by McFist anyway so-

~ Things happen when Becky sees the Ninja swinging by in front of her window. Not having the slightest clue what's going on, she takes off - under the pretense that she's going sightseeing - and follows the Ninja

~ After a brief moment of mistaken identity and misunderstandings, Wordgirl and the Ninja reluctantly become as close to allies as it can get but as per usual - it seems something's happening behind closed doors

~ McFist appears to be in cohorts with... [REDACTED]. I can't very well share everything in one go, now can I?

~ The Ninja and his newfound ally decide to take on McFist, but unfortunately... things happen to go south after that. With the CEO's claims he has managed a way to rid of the Ninja permanently, among other things - who knows what might happen from this?

They do not have the perfect alliance at first! The Ninja sees Wordgirl as condescending while Wordgirl thinks the Ninja can come off as arrogant. Needless to say, it’s going to be interesting!

At some point, they meet as Becky and Randy and somehow manage to get along better. Neither seem to have discovered their hero counterparts

This doesn’t happen in this specific part of the crossover, but Debbie and Scoops would not get along. It’s even worse when it’s Scoops and Heidi. I think they could reach a point of being friends but it’ll take time

McFist and Mr. Big would NOT get along. They would hate each other but undisclosed things happen in this universe that fuel it even more and I will not say anything more

Becky and Theresa would be the best of fucking friends

I don’t remember who first headcanoned this but Becky would understand the Nomicon lessons a lot better than Randy. The Narrator and the Nomicon’s essence joke about how much it takes Randy to get the message
