Week 1 - Decorating
Female!reader x Eminem (Feel free to put in your own oc insert)
Description - Y/n and Marshall decide to decorate the house.
Warnings - no warnings :)
Y/n sat on the couch, feeling all snuggled up in the heaps of blankets that she had wrapped around her. She was at her apartment, trying to adjust to the coldness outside. She sipped the cup of hot cocoa in her hand. The sweetness of the chocolate popped in her tongue as she consumed the thick and luxurious drink. She felt the dollop of whipped cream on top touch the tip of her nose as she reached for another sip.
Y/n took a look at the simple Christmas tree she had up in the corner of the living room. It wasn’t extravagant and glowing with bright lights and dripping in ornaments. But it wasn’t basic and plain either. It has the right amount of light and colour, enough to give her home a festive touch. She looked out the window and admired the beautiful sunset. The sky was dark blue and decorated with fluffy light blue clouds.
Christmas was around the corner and boy was she happy. This was the first Christmas she was spending with her boyfriend, Marshall. They had been dating for a few months and Y/n absolutely adored him. He was the perfect boyfriend. He was sweet, genuine, caring and charming. He invited her to spend the month of December with her until New Years. The offer shocked her to say the least. Marshall was a private person and to see that he wanted to invite her to his home for a month just showed how much he trusted and cared for his girl.
Her phone started to ring as it buzzed against the wooden table next to her. Y/n set the mug down and peered over her phone. Marshall was calling her. He must’ve been calling to ask if she was ready to come down.
“Hey baby. Everything okay?” Y/n asked.
“Everything’s great. Are you ready? I’m right outside.”
“Yup. I’m ready. I’ll see you there.”
Y/n quickly finished the rest of her hot chocolate and grabbed her bag that was packed with all the essentials she would need for the next month at Marshall’s. She slipped on her trainers and made her way out. As she stepped outside, she saw Marshall’s face in the car that was dimly lit by the main light outside the building. He gave her a loving smile as she got into the passenger seat.
“Hey baby.” Marshall greeted as he placed a soft kiss on Y/n’s lips. “Got everything? Ready to go?”
“I’m ready. Let’s go.”
Marshall pulled out of the driveway and into the road as he made his way to his mansion. “So, are you excited?” He asked.
“Of course! This is my first Christmas with you, and I can’t wait. Thanks again for doing this.” Y/n replied.
“Of course, sweetheart. I wanna spend my time leading up to Christmas with you.” Marshall sincerely as he placed his hand on Y/n’s thigh.
When they reached the mansion, Y/n took notice of how empty it looked on the outside. There were no lights or decorations of any sort of decorations hung up outside. She wasn’t too shocked, Marshall was a busy man, he wouldn’t have time to decorate. As she entered the house, the sudden warmth engulfed her from the cold wind outside.
“Ooh! It’s so warm in here!” Y/n exclaimed.
“It’s great compared to that heck of a snow storm outside.” Marshall replied as he sat on the couch
“It's not even snowing.” Y/n replied, chuckling lightly and settling next to him. “Don’t you have a Christmas tree?”
“Why should I?”
“For the festive feeling, duh!”
“Well, I’m a busy man in my 50’s who will soon be a grandpa. I don’t have the time or energy for that stuff.”
“You’re such an old man.” Y/n teased as she patted his chest.
“Did you not hear what I just said?” He chuckled. “I used to decorate with the kids but they’re all grown up now and have moved out.”
“So do you still have the decorations with you?”
“They’re somewhere in the attic…”
“We should decorate!” Y/n suggested as she sat up.
“Decorate?”
“Yeah, we can put a tree and some decorations inside. Add some lights outside.”
Marshall furrowed his eyebrows and tilted his head as he hummed deeply in thought.
“Oh come on. We don’t even have to go overboard. We can be minimalistic if that’s what you want.”
“It’s gonna take ages.”
“But it’ll be fun! Please?” Y/n pleaded. She pouted innocently and pulled out her puppy dog eyes.
Marshall sighed and shook his head. “Fine. Let’s do it.”
“Yes! Thank you!” Y/n beamed in excitement as her eyes lit up. She placed a long kiss on Marshall’s cheek as she wrapped her arms around him. “Come on! Let’s go!” She got off the sofa and tried to pull him up.
Marshall chuckled at his girlfriend’s adorable reaction. He’d do anything to make her feel happy. “Don’t you wanna unpack your bag?”
“We can worry about that later. Come on!”
Eventually, Marshall and Y/n were able to get the Christmas tree and bags of ornaments and lights down from the attic. The living room soon became a mess with plastic bags overflowing with tangled lights and baubles rolling around.
“I'm starting to regret this…” Marshall said.
“It's fine. Come on, we can start with the outside first.”
Since their plan was to be simple, they just placed a string of yellow fairy lights around the tree in the front. Marshall placed a light up reindeer by the door and Y/n put up light up candy canes on the side of the pathway leading up to the house.
Marshall and Y/n stepped back to look up at the final result. They both stared in awe at the finished product. It wasn't overboard and the decorations looked perfectly festive.
“See! It looks great. Come on, let's decorate inside.”
After getting inside, they started to set up the Christmas tree. Of course the tree Marshall had was pretty big so it took ages for them to assemble.
“You don't have instructions?” Y/n asked as she held up two pieces of the tree, trying to put them together.
“Unfortunately, no. We'll just have to get through this ourselves.” Marshall sighed.
Nearly an hour went by of them struggling and squinting and deciding how to put up the tree before they finally finished. It stood tall in the corner of the living room next to the TV.
“Alright, let's decorate it!”
Y/n and Marshall took out the heaps of tangled up lights from the bag and spent ages just trying to untangle them. When they finished, they put it around the tree and made sure it twisted its way from the top all the way to the bottom. Afterwards, Y/n started to place baubles of different sizes and colours at the front. When she looked around the living room, she realised Marshall was gone.
“Marshall?” She called out.
He came back running with a polaroid camera and flashy smile. “Alright just stand there and pretend you're decorating.”
“What are you doing?” Y/n asked.
“Capturing memories.” Marshall replied as he brought the camera up to his eye.
“Can't you use your phone for that?”
“This is better. Okay, smile for me baby.”
Y/n couldn't help but crack a smile at Marshall’s command and the pet name. The way he said it just drove her absolutely crazy. Marshall pressed the button as the camera emailed a bright flash. The picture whirred out from the side. He took it off and placed it on the coffee table along with the camera.
“And while we wait for that to develop, I'll help with the tree.”
The next few minutes were followed by the couple placing ornaments and baubles on the end of the trees. As Y/n took out the next ornament from the bag, she noticed how different it looked from the others. It was made out of paper and had decorations drawn onto it.
“What's this?” She asked.
Marshall gasped and smiled softly as he took the ornament from Y/n. “Hailie made this when she was 6. I'm surprised it's still in shape.”
“It looks great. Let's put it on the tree.” Y/n responded. “We should make our own!”
“Do we have to?” Marshall asked.
“It'll be fun. You only need paper, scissors and markers.”
“Okay fine, I'll get them from my office.”
Marshall came back with sheets of paper, two pairs of scissors and a packet or coloured markers. They both sat down on the floor and started to cut up and decorate their paper ornaments.
“Look, I drew us holding hands on this one.” Y/n chuckled as she held it up.
Marshall smiled softly and looked over at his girlfriend. He was only just realising now how lucky he was to have her. Instead of making a comment about the ornament, he leaned in and pulled Y/n into a tender kiss.
“Thanks, for all of this. I feel like I'm being grumpy about it but I should be appreciating it. I'm lucky I have such an optimistic girlfriend who wants to spend December with me the correct way.”
“Aw babe, you're not being grumpy at all. I'm glad you're putting up with it.” Y/n placed another soft kiss on his lips as their foreheads touched.
“Alright, you wanna put these up?” Marshall asked.
“Yeah, let's do it. Can I see yours?”
He nodded and revealed his ornament with a cheeky smile. “I also drew us. And a snowman.”
Y/n chuckled softly and placed a kiss on Marshall’s cheek. “It looks great.”
When they finished decorating the tree, Y/n realised they forgot one final thing.
“The star! Do you have the star to put on top?”
“It's somewhere in here, let me see.” Marshall responded as rummaged through the bags. “Aha! Found it.” He pulled out a stunning golden star coated in glitter that shone under the light.
“It looks great. Can you reach the top?”
“Nah. I normally used to put Hailie on my shoulder so she could put it on…”
“Oh.”
“Do you wanna get on my shoulder?”
Y/n laughed at Marshall's joke. “You're funny.” But when she looked over at him, she could see seriousness in his eyes. “Oh, you're being serious?”
“Yeah, I'll put you on my shoulder.”
“You're gonna break it.”
“I'll be fine.”
“Aren't you an old man?”
“I hit the gym everyday. I'll be fine.”
Y/n reluctantly agreed and gave in with a sigh. Marshall placed his arms around her thighs and hoisted her up to his shoulder.
“Am I heavy?” She asked.
“You're good. Don't worry. Alright, put the star on.” Marshall replied.
Y/n held onto Marshall tightly with one hand as she placed the shimmering star on top of the tree with the other with precision and immense caution.
“Alright. You can put me down.”
After Marshall set Y/n down, they turned the main light in the living room off so they could see the lights on the tree more well. They looked on in admiration as they watched the lights twinkle colourfully and light up the decorations on the tree.
“It looks beautiful.” Y/n said in excitement.
“Sure does.” Marshall replied as he turned the lights back on. “Oh, and here's your photo.” He handed over the developed photo to Y/n. She was smiling brightly at the camera as she placed an ornament on the tree.
“It looks great.” Y/n said.
“But I did forget one last thing.” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a mistletoe. It was a beautiful sage green and suited with fake snow. It also had the small cherry tomatoes and was tied with a lacy red ribbon.
“A mistletoe!” Y/n exclaimed.
Marshall smirked as he hung it up above them. He placed his hand on Y/n's waist and captured her lips. Y/n immediately kissed back and placed her hands on his chest. They both leaned into the kiss as it got more passionate.
When they pulled away, Y/n leaned her head on Marshall's chest as he wrapped his arms around her, leaving no distance between them.

25 days with Eminem
Eminem x reader
Day 1
You and Marshall have been together for a little over a year now, and in that short time, your love for each other has grown deeper than you ever imagined. This year is extra special because it's not only your first Christmas together as a married couple but also your first as new parents. Just eight months ago, you welcomed your beautiful baby boy, Jackie, into the world. He has quickly become the light of your lives, and this holiday season is all the more magical because it's Jackie's very first Christmas.
Even though Jackie is too young to fully understand the magic of Christmas, you and Marshall are determined to make it as memorable as possible for him.
The joy doesn't stop there, though. Marshall's three grown children—Hailie, Stevie, and Alaina—will be coming home to celebrate Christmas with the two of you. It's been a while since the whole family has been together under one roof, and you couldn't be more excited to create new memories.
As soon as the soft chime of your alarm clock echoed through the room, you opened your eyes, ready to tackle the day. The warm, cozy glow of the morning sun peeked through the curtains, but there was no time to linger in bed—today was going to be a busy one. Hailie, Stevie, and Alaina were arriving later, and there was still so much to do to get the house ready for their visit.
You slipped out of bed quietly, careful not to disturb Marshall, who was still fast asleep. Glancing over, you couldn't help but smile at the sight of him curled up under the blankets, his face relaxed and peaceful. Jackie's soft coos came through the baby monitor on your nightstand, reminding you that your little one was awake and ready to start his day too.
"Alright, let's do this," you whispered to yourself as you headed to the bathroom.
Your morning routine was like a ritual—a few moments of self-care to center yourself before the chaos of the day. You washed your face, applied your favorite moisturizer, and tied your hair back before stepping into the shower. The warm water helped shake off any lingering sleepiness, and by the time you were out, you felt energized and ready to go.
After slipping into a pair of comfortable leggings and a cozy sweater, you went to check on Jackie. He was sitting up in his crib, tiny fists rubbing at his sleepy eyes. His face lit up the moment he saw you.
"Good morning, my sweet boy," you cooed, lifting him into your arms. He giggled, reaching for your face with his chubby hands.
"You ready for a big day? Your sisters are coming to see you today!"
Jackie babbled in response, as if he understood every word, and you couldn't help but laugh. After changing his diaper and getting him dressed in a festive little onesie, you carried him downstairs to the kitchen.
"Alright, buddy, let's get some breakfast going," you said, setting him in his high chair with a couple of his favorite teething toys to keep him entertained.
You moved efficiently around the kitchen, preparing Jackie’s bottle first. He watched you intently, his big blue eyes tracking your every move. Once the bottle was ready, you sat down to feed him, marveling at how much he had grown in just eight months.
“Slow down, little guy,” you teased as he eagerly drank his milk. “You’re gonna be taller than Daddy before we know it.”
Once Jackie was fed and content, you set him in his playpen with some toys and turned your attention to breakfast. Scrambled eggs, toast, and coffee were on the menu, and you knew Marshall wouldn’t be able to resist the smell of bacon sizzling in the pan.
Sure enough, as you plated the food, you heard a groggy voice from the stairs.
“Mmm, smells amazing,” Marshall muttered, rubbing the back of his neck as he shuffled into the kitchen. His hair was a little messy, and his T-shirt was wrinkled, but he still looked as handsome as ever.
“Good morning, sleepyhead,” you said with a grin, handing him a mug of freshly brewed coffee. “I was just about to come wake you up.”
He took a sip and sighed contentedly. “You’re the best. How’d you get all this done already?”
“It’s called multitasking,” you teased, giving him a playful nudge. “And we’ve got a lot to do today. The girls will be here in a few hours, and I still need to clean the living room, set up the guest rooms, and make sure everything’s perfect.”
Marshall walked over to Jackie, who was happily chewing on a teething ring. “Good morning, little man,” he said, picking him up and peppering kisses on his chubby cheeks. Jackie squealed with delight, grabbing at Marshall’s face.
“You’ve got your hands full with this guy,” Marshall said, smiling. “Why don’t you let me handle him for a bit while you do your thing?”
“You sure?” you asked, already feeling grateful for the offer.
“Of course. We’ll have some father-son bonding time,” he said, bouncing Jackie gently. “Maybe we’ll put on some Christmas music and supervise from the couch.”
“Supervise, huh?” you said with a laugh, handing him a plate of breakfast. “Alright, but no slacking. I need this house looking spotless.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Marshall teased with a mock salute, making you roll your eyes.
As he sat down with Jackie to eat and play, you got to work tidying up. The living room needed vacuuming and the guest rooms had to be set up with fresh linens and little touches to make the girls feel welcome.
By the time everything was done, the house looked clean and cozy, ready to welcome your guests. Marshall had even managed to keep Jackie entertained, though he looked a little tired from the effort.
“You’re amazing,” you said, collapsing onto the couch next to him. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
“Well, lucky for you, you’ll never have to find out,” he replied, wrapping an arm around your shoulders.
Just as you were catching your breath, the doorbell rang.
“They’re here!” you said, jumping up with excitement.
Marshall followed, holding Jackie, and together you opened the door to welcome Hailie, Stevie, and Alaina. Their smiles lit up the room, and Jackie squealed in delight at the sight of his big sisters.
The holiday chaos was just beginning, but you couldn’t have been happier. This was what Christmas was all about—family, love, and moments that would become memories to cherish forever.
The moment you opened the door, the sound of laughter and cheerful greetings filled the air. Hailie, Stevie, and Alaina stepped inside, bundled up in their winter coats and scarves, their arms loaded with bags and gifts.
“Merry almost Christmas!” Hailie said, leaning in to hug you first. “It smells amazing in here already.”
“Thanks, Hailie,” you said, returning the hug. “I’ve been running around all morning trying to get everything ready.”
Stevie grinned, dropping her bags by the door. “Well, we’re here now, so put us to work. We’re ready for whatever you need.”
“And where’s my baby brother?” Alaina chimed in, her eyes searching for Jackie. Marshall stepped forward with him in his arms, and Alaina’s face lit up. “There he is! Oh my gosh, look at how big you’ve gotten, little man!”
Jackie giggled as Alaina reached out to take him from Marshall. “He’s been waiting for his big sisters all morning,” you said, watching as Alaina snuggled him.
“Well, the wait is over!” Hailie said, reaching out to tickle Jackie’s tummy. “We’re all here now, and I hope you saved some of the fun for us.”
“I did,” you replied with a grin. “We haven’t even started on the Christmas tree yet.”
Stevie’s eyes widened in mock shock. “What? No tree yet? That’s sacrilege!”
“We wanted to wait for you guys,” Marshall said, wrapping an arm around your shoulder. “Figured it’d be more fun to do it together.”
“You were right,” Alaina said, bouncing Jackie on her hip. “Okay, let’s get this party started. Where’s the tree?”
“It’s in the garage,” you said. “Marshall, can you and Stevie grab it? And the decorations are in the big bins on the shelf.”
“On it,” Marshall said, heading toward the garage with Stevie close behind.
While they were gone, you led Hailie and Alaina into the living room, where you had already cleared a space by the big front window for the tree. Jackie was happily babbling away in Alaina’s arms, and Hailie sat down on the floor to dig through the bags of decorations they had brought.
“Look at this,” Hailie said, pulling out a tiny ornament with “Jackie’s First Christmas” engraved on it. “We got this for him. Thought it’d be a cute keepsake.”
Your heart melted as you took the ornament from her. “Hailie, this is perfect. Thank you so much.”
“Of course,” she said with a smile. “We all wanted to make sure his first Christmas was extra special.”
A few minutes later, Marshall and Stevie came back, dragging the massive tree box into the living room.
“Okay, this thing is heavy,” Stevie said, collapsing onto the couch dramatically. “I think I deserve hot chocolate after that.”
“You’ll get hot chocolate when the tree is up,” you teased. “Now come on, let’s get to work.”
Everyone laughed as Marshall opened the box and started pulling out the pieces of the artificial tree. It was a bit of a team effort to assemble it—Marshall handled the heavy lifting, Stevie made sarcastic comments about the instructions, and Alaina kept Jackie entertained while the rest of you worked.
“Why does this thing have so many branches?” Marshall grumbled, holding up a section of the tree.
“Because it’s supposed to look full and lush,” you replied. “Just trust the process.”
“I don’t trust this process,” Marshall said, but he kept working anyway.
Once the tree was finally standing, everyone stepped back to admire it.
“Okay, it already looks pretty good,” Hailie said. “But now for the fun part—decorating!”
You brought out the bins of ornaments, and soon the room was filled with the sound of laughter and Christmas music. Alaina carefully handed Jackie a soft, unbreakable ornament to hold, and he waved it around excitedly.
“Look at him,” Alaina said with a laugh. “He’s already getting into the Christmas spirit.”
“Just wait until he tries to eat one of the ornaments,” Stevie joked, hanging a glittery star on the tree.
“I’m watching him like a hawk,” you said. “No sparkly snacks for Jackie.”
Marshall was in charge of the lights, and after a few tangles and some good-natured teasing, the tree was glowing beautifully.
“Alright, moment of truth,” Marshall said, holding up the star for the top of the tree. He looked at Jackie and grinned. “What do you think, little man? Want to help Daddy put this on?”
Jackie babbled in response, and Marshall lifted him up carefully, helping him place the star on the top of the tree. Everyone clapped and cheered as the tree was finally complete.
“It’s perfect,” you said, stepping back to admire it. The lights twinkled against the ornaments, and the room felt warm and magical.
“It really is,” Hailie agreed. “And now, we definitely deserve hot chocolate.”
“I second that,” Stevie said, raising her hand.
Marshall looked at you. “Hot chocolate, boss?”
“Hot chocolate for everyone,” you declared with a laugh. “But only if someone else makes it—I’m taking a break.”
“I’ve got it,” Alaina said, passing Jackie back to you. “You’ve done enough for today.”
You smiled as you sat down on the couch with Jackie, watching your family bustle around the room. The tree was up, the house was filled with love and laughter, and for the first time in a long time, everything felt exactly as it should be.
As Alaina headed into the kitchen to make hot chocolate, you settled onto the couch with Jackie in your arms. Marshall flopped down beside you, stretching his long legs out and letting out a dramatic sigh of exhaustion.
“Man, putting up a tree is no joke,” he said, leaning his head back against the cushions. “I think I pulled a muscle in my back.”
You rolled your eyes playfully. “Oh, please. You carried a couple of branches. I’m pretty sure Jackie worked harder than you today.”
Marshall grinned and glanced down at Jackie, who was chewing on his tiny fist. “You hear that, bud? Mom’s roasting me already.”
Jackie gurgled in response, and you both laughed.
Hailie sat cross-legged on the floor, rearranging some of the ornaments near the bottom of the tree. “I think you guys did a good job with the decorating. This might be the prettiest tree we’ve had in years.”
“Agreed,” Stevie said, plopping down onto the armchair and kicking her feet up. “I mean, I personally think I carried the team with my ornament placement, but I’ll let you guys take some credit too.”
“You? Carried the team?” Hailie scoffed, glancing over her shoulder. “I saw you hang, like, three ornaments and then sit down.”
“Three perfectly placed ornaments,” Stevie shot back with a smirk.
Marshall chuckled, shaking his head. “You guys sound just like when you were kids. Nothing’s changed.”
“And nothing will,” Stevie said with a grin. “That’s what makes it fun.”
Alaina returned from the kitchen, balancing a tray loaded with mugs of steaming hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and marshmallows. “Okay, everyone, drinks are served. Don’t say I never do anything for you.”
“Alaina, you’re a lifesaver,” you said, accepting a mug and taking a sip. The rich, chocolatey warmth was exactly what you needed after a busy morning.
“Agreed,” Marshall said, raising his mug. “To Alaina, the real MVP of the day.”
“To Alaina!” Hailie and Stevie echoed, raising their mugs in unison.
Alaina laughed, sitting down with her own drink. “Alright, alright, I’ll take the credit this time.”
As everyone settled in with their hot chocolate, the room grew quieter, the glow of the Christmas tree casting a soft light over the space. Jackie had dozed off in your arms, his tiny chest rising and falling with each peaceful breath.
“He’s so cute when he’s asleep,” Hailie said softly, her eyes on her baby brother. “It’s hard to believe he’s already eight months old.”
“I know,” you said, brushing a hand gently over Jackie’s soft hair. “Time’s flying by too fast. It feels like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital.”
Marshall nodded, his gaze softening as he looked at Jackie. “It’s crazy how fast they grow. I blinked, and now you three are all grown up.”
“Aw, Dad,” Stevie said with a teasing smile. “You’re getting all sentimental on us.”
“Can you blame him?” Hailie said. “This is probably the first time in forever that we’ve all been together like this. It feels nice.”
“Yeah, it does,” Alaina agreed. “This is what Christmas is supposed to feel like—being with family.”
You leaned your head against Marshall’s shoulder, feeling a wave of gratitude wash over you. “I couldn’t agree more. This is perfect.”
-
You were sitting on the couch with Jackie nestled in your lap, the baby fast asleep after a morning of excitement. His little hand was curled around your finger, and you couldn’t help but smile down at him, feeling utterly content.
Marshall had been busy setting up the mistletoe, carefully hanging it in the doorway between the living room and the kitchen. He had a mischievous glint in his eye as he stood back to admire his work, then turned toward the group.
“Alright, everyone. Who’s up for some Christmas cheer?” Marshall called out, his voice low and playful.
Hailie, Stevie, and Alaina glanced up from their mugs, a knowing smile spreading across their faces as they saw Marshall standing under the mistletoe.
“Oh, no,” Stevie teased, raising an eyebrow. “You’re not seriously going to—”
Before she could finish, Marshall walked over to where you were sitting on the couch, his eyes twinkling with mischief. Jackie stirred slightly in your lap, but you gently shushed him back into sleep as you looked up at Marshall, your heart fluttering.
“What are you up to, babe?” you asked with a soft smile, not missing the playful glint in his eyes.
Marshall didn’t answer right away. Instead, he gently lifted Jackie from your lap, his strong arms careful with the sleeping baby. “I’ll take him for a second, so you and I can have some time under the mistletoe.”
He carefully laid Jackie down in his playpen, making sure the little one was still asleep, then turned back to you. Without saying another word, he took your hand and gently led you toward the mistletoe.
“Under the mistletoe?” you teased, looking up at the sprig hanging above them.
Marshall just smiled, his gaze softening as he brushed a strand of hair from your face. “Under the mistletoe,” he confirmed, his voice low and intimate. “You didn’t think I was going to let Christmas go by without a kiss, did you?”
You felt your heart race at the way he was looking at you—like you were the only person in the room. His presence was magnetic, drawing you closer, until you were standing right under the mistletoe.
The others had taken their attention off the two of you, chatting and sipping their drinks, but you could feel the heat of Marshall’s hand in yours, his thumb gently brushing over your skin.
Without another word, he leaned down, his lips brushing softly against yours. You melted into the kiss, feeling the warmth of his touch and the softness of his lips. It was gentle at first, a tender reminder of how lucky you were to have this love in your life. But as the kiss deepened, the connection between you two became more electric. Marshall pulled you in closer, his hand resting at the small of your back, and you responded in kind, your hands sliding up to rest on his chest.
For a few seconds, it was just the two of you—no words, no distractions—just the quiet intimacy that comes from sharing a moment like this. The sound of your breathing, the soft rustle of your clothes, and the distant hum of Christmas music were the only things you could hear.
Finally, Marshall pulled away just enough to rest his forehead against yours, his eyes still closed. “I missed you today,” he murmured, his voice husky. “Even when we’re all busy, it’s nice to just be with you, you know?”
“I know,” you whispered back, a smile tugging at your lips as you looked up at him. “I missed you too.”
From the corner of your eye, you could see Hailie, Stevie, and Alaina watching you, their faces full of playful grins and teasing expressions.
“Jeez, get a room, you two,” Stevie said, shaking her head with an exaggerated sigh.
“Hey, we’re just spreading some Christmas cheer,” Marshall said with a wink, stepping back and wrapping an arm around you. “You’re all lucky we didn’t go for round two.”
“Ew, dad,” Alaina laughed, sticking out her tongue.
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face as you nestled into Marshall’s side. “You’re so extra.”
He leaned down to press a kiss to the top of your head. “Extra for you, babe. Always.”<3

without you - m.m
Warnings: Smut, 18+, this is short asf
Pairing: Marshall Mathers x fem!reader
You and Marshall had broke up a few years ago
it hadn’t been on bad terms, but it hadn’t exactly been on good terms either
he hadn’t been a terrible boyfriend, but he hadn’t shown much time to you
It had started through mutual friends and then escalated
one thing you knew, he was great at sex
but then it had ended and you were left trying to find someone who wasn’t utter shit
and it didn’t go so well.
there were more fake orgasms than real ones with Marshall, to say the least.
and, well, alcohol got the better of you both at a party
It was the heat of the moment, his hand slipping down your skirt as he backed you into a room.
his lips crashing in yours, both of you on the bed in an instant
it was a night you’d never, ever wish to forget.
“morning,” Marshall said, rubbing his eyes and seeing you beside him.
“we’re we supposed to do that?” you asked
“nope…do you regret it?”
there was a pause for a second.
”I don’t,”

25 days with Eminem
Eminem x reader
Day 2
The next morning, snow was falling gently outside, coating the world in a soft, white blanket. You stood by the kitchen counter, humming along to the Christmas music softly playing in the background as you set out the ingredients for cookies. The kitchen smelled like sugar and butter, the perfect atmosphere for baking.
Hailie was already busy, measuring flour and sugar with practiced ease, while Jackie moved around in his baby walker, happily sucking on his pacifier. Every so often, he would giggle and grab at the dangling toys attached to his walker, his little face lighting up with excitement.
“Look at him,” Hailie said with a smile, watching her baby brother as he clumsily spun in a circle. “He’s getting so big already.”
You glanced down at Jackie, who was trying to reach for the nearby counter. “I know. It’s crazy. He’s moving so fast, I can hardly keep up.” You chuckled softly as Jackie made a happy squeal and spun around again. “He’s going to be running around before we know it.”
Hailie nodded. “We should probably lock the kitchen door then, huh?”
You laughed. “I’ll just put the baby gate up. That’ll slow him down for now.”
As you started to get the butter and sugar ready to mix, Hailie grabbed the bowl of flour and handed it over to you. “You know, I love this. I’m so glad we’re all together this Christmas. I don’t think we’ve had this much family time in years.”
“I feel the same,” you said, smiling as you turned on the mixer and started to beat the butter and sugar together. “It’s been perfect. And I know Jackie’s going to remember this Christmas for the rest of his life.”
“He’s definitely going to remember the cookies,” Hailie said with a laugh. “These are going to be epic.”
“I hope so,” you replied. “I’m counting on you to make sure I don’t mess up the recipe.”
Hailie grinned. “You’ve got it. I’m practically a pro at this point.”
As you mixed the dough, the sound of footsteps came from the hallway, followed by the familiar voices of Marshall, Stevie, and Alaina.
“Smells like someone’s baking cookies,” Marshall called out as he entered the kitchen, a smile on his face.
“Cookies!” Stevie added, coming in right behind him, her eyes lighting up at the sight of the mixing bowls and cookie sheets.
“Looks like we’re getting in on the action,” Alaina chimed in, her tone playful.
You glanced over at them with a grin. “Well, I guess if you guys want cookies, you’ll have to help.”
“Help?” Marshall said, raising an eyebrow. “I thought this was a *family* effort. You don’t need help, right?”
“Well, if you want the cookies done before midnight, we could use some extra hands,” you teased, turning your attention back to the dough.
Hailie looked at the three of them, clearly amused. “You guys better get to work. Mom’s been running this show by herself so far.”
“Don’t worry, Hailie,” Stevie said, walking over to the counter and pulling up a chair. “I’ve got this. I’ll roll the dough into perfect balls.”
Marshall moved toward the cabinet, opening it to grab the cookie cutters. “What kind of cookies are we making, anyway?”
“Sugar cookies,” you replied. “The classic ones—soft, sweet, and perfect for decorating.”
“Good choice,” Marshall said with a wink. “Nothing like a classic to bring the family together.”
“Exactly,” you agreed. “Now, who’s on frosting duty?”
Alaina raised her hand dramatically. “Me! I’m in charge of the frosting. I call dibs on the sprinkles too.”
“You got it, Alaina,” you said, passing her the mixing bowl with powdered sugar and a spoon.
As everyone got into their respective tasks, the kitchen became a whirlwind of laughter, conversation, and cookie dough. Jackie continued to explore in his walker, occasionally making his way to the counter to get a closer look at what was going on. You had to keep an eye on him as he made his way across the kitchen, a little too eager to grab at anything within reach.
“You better stay out of the flour, little man,” Marshall said, laughing as he saw Jackie’s curious eyes fixed on the counter. “You don’t want to be part of the baking process just yet.”
Jackie giggled and banged his pacifier against the side of the walker, as if he were trying to get everyone’s attention.
“He’s already got a lot of personality, doesn’t he?” Stevie said, pausing from her work to watch Jackie. “Definitely keeping you on your toes, huh?”
You nodded, keeping a hand on Jackie’s walker as he spun again. “Definitely. But it’s all worth it. Look at how happy he is.”
-
The kitchen, once tidy and pristine, was quickly devolving into utter chaos. The first batch of cookies had barely cooled before the battle of frosting began. You could feel the competitive energy building as everyone started to get a little more creative—and a lot more reckless.
“Alright, people,” Marshall said with a grin, holding up a cookie with what could only be described as a very questionable snowman design. “Behold my masterpiece. It’s the best snowman anyone’s ever seen.”
“Um, that snowman looks like it’s melting in the heat,” Stevie said with a teasing laugh, pointing at his lopsided cookie.
Marshall shot her a playful glare. “Oh, it’s art, Stevie. You wouldn’t understand.”
“Art?” Hailie scoffed, turning to face him with a smirk. “It looks more like something that got caught in a snowstorm. How about I show you how it’s done?”
Before you could warn them, Hailie grabbed a spoonful of frosting and flung it across the counter, aiming for Marshall’s cookie.
“Hey!” Marshall shouted, ducking just in time. “What’s your problem, huh? You want a frosting fight?”
“You started it!” Hailie shot back, taking another scoop of frosting, this time tossing it directly at his chest.
Marshall barely had time to react before his shirt was covered in frosting. “Oh, it’s on now.”
The next few moments passed in a blur of action. The kitchen erupted into chaos as frosting was flung through the air, some landing on the walls, the floor, and—of course—each other.
“Take that, you snowman-creating maniac!” Stevie yelled as she lobbed a glob of frosting at Marshall.
“Really?” Marshall grinned, wiping frosting off his face. “You’re just going to sit there and let Hailie and I have all the fun?”
Alaina, who had been quietly decorating her cookies, looked over at the scene, raised an eyebrow, and sighed. “You guys are unbelievable.”
“I think you should join us,” Hailie said, grinning wickedly as she eyed her sister. “It’s more fun than sitting there being all perfect with your little cookie designs.”
Alaina shook her head, but a mischievous grin slowly spread across her face. “Alright, fine. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
And just like that, Alaina took a spoonful of frosting, aimed, and let it fly—straight at Stevie. The frosting hit her square on the cheek, causing everyone to burst into laughter.
“Oh, it’s on now!” Stevie shouted, wiping the frosting off her face and grabbing a handful of sprinkles. She threw the sprinkles into the air like confetti, only to have them land in her hair. “Seriously?” she groaned. “What is wrong with you guys?”
Meanwhile, Jackie, still in his baby walker, had been watching the madness unfold with wide eyes. His pacifier had long since fallen out, and his little hands were grabbing at everything within reach. He’d somehow managed to roll his walker right into the middle of the chaos, and with one swipe of his chubby hand, he knocked a whole bowl of sprinkles off the counter, sending them scattering across the floor.
“No, Jackie!” you gasped, reaching for him just as he knocked over a container of flour.
“Uh-oh,” Hailie said, her eyes wide as she watched the flour begin to spill out onto the floor.
“It’s okay, it’s okay,” you said, trying to calm down the situation while trying to scoop up Jackie before he could get any messier. “We’ll clean it up, just… please don’t make it worse.”
But it was already too late. In the middle of trying to grab Jackie, he managed to knock over a bowl of cookie dough, and it splattered all over the counter. The kitchen was now a war zone of frosting, flour, sprinkles, and cookie dough.
“Alright, alright! Time to call it quits,” Marshall said, holding up his hands in mock surrender as he surveyed the wreckage. “This kitchen looks like a disaster zone.”
“You’re just mad because my cookies are better than yours,” Hailie teased, still laughing as she wiped frosting from her face.
“Better?” Marshall shot back, wiping his hands on his shirt. “I think you’ve lost track of what ‘better’ means if you’re calling *that* a cookie.”
“Who’s laughing now?” Alaina grinned, flicking frosting at both of them.
Stevie was laughing so hard that she could barely breathe. “We’re supposed to be baking cookies, not declaring war on each other!”
“I think the cookies have been sacrificed in the name of fun,” you said, looking around at the scene in disbelief. “This is a *mess*. A total disaster.”
Jackie, who had been watching everything unfold, let out a joyful giggle and grabbed a handful of sprinkles from the floor, shoving them straight into his mouth.
“Jackie!” you exclaimed in a mix of horror and amusement, leaning down to take the sprinkles away from him. “What did you do?”
Hailie, still laughing, bent down to help you. “At least he’s having a good time, right?”
“Yeah,” you said, trying to stop yourself from giggling. “But I think we need to stop before we end up with sprinkles in the oven.”
The sound of Marshall and Stevie snickering behind you made you look up to find Marshall holding a cookie covered in flour, frosting, and sprinkles like a weapon.
“No more, Marshall,” you warned, holding your hands up as if to shield yourself. “I’m serious.”
But before you could react, Marshall tossed the cookie directly at you. It hit your shoulder with a soft plop, sending frosting splattering everywhere.
“Marshall!” you exclaimed, laughing as you wiped the frosting off your shoulder. “That’s it. You’re so done.”
“Oh, come on,” Marshall said, still grinning. “It’s Christmas. We’re just having fun.”
“Well, I’m going to have fun cleaning this up,” you said, looking around at the chaotic mess that had once been a clean kitchen. “And you’re all going to help. Now. Before I start throwing cookies at you all.”
The rest of the family groaned dramatically, but it was clear they were all just as excited as you were to get the kitchen cleaned up. Everyone started grabbing napkins and wiping down counters, laughing and continuing to make playful comments about who started the “cookie disaster” in the first place.
“Next time,” Hailie said, picking up sprinkles from the floor, “we’re just sticking to decorating. No more cookie fights.”
“You say that now,” Stevie teased. “But I bet in five minutes, you’ll be throwing frosting again.”
As you all worked together to clean up the chaos, you couldn’t help but smile. Yes, the kitchen was a mess. Yes, you’d probably be finding sprinkles in strange places for days to come. But this was exactly the kind of Christmas you’d hoped for—a day full of laughter, love, and family. Even if it meant the cookies had a few extra sprinkles than planned.

Transgender review of Eminem's use of bigotry in his latest song, Houdini
the first time i listened to this song i rolled my eyes. not because i was particularly annoyed that Historically Homophobic Harry said some things that got on my fee-fees, but because for him to do it in such a passe way was disappointing coming from thee Marshal Mathers. like, your name has meaning brother. you think im going to give my hate-attention to something this bland?
the next time i listened to it it made sense. nah, this dude KNOWS he's the joke. he's taking the joke that he is and telling it himself. the entire music video is him acting like an idiot and doing embarrassing shit, bumbling over himself while he randomly tosses in ad-libs from old songs of his like a parody of what his image is, even going out of his way to insult his own family to demonstrate that he was consciously showing ignorant and meaningless aggression. perhaps im giving the notorious buttery-complexioned MC a little too much credit here, but i think it passes the smell test. maybe not elegantly, but at least to me.
fuck i just hope his whole album isn't this. because to me, this joke can be told once effectively. you dont have to ditch the theme of self parody, but you can only be self deprecatingly coy about your very real bigotry so many times before "it's art" stops being a pass.
