this isnt what i normally post but it's important to me that i say this

before you block me, please just hear me out

it scares me how much of alterhuman tumblr (and alterhumans in general) support(s) endogenic systems

systems are people who experienced severe repeated trauma before the age of nine. by removing the trauma factor its impossible to form alters.

before you turn nine, every emotion is a different state of self. (thank you @/quoigenicfromhell for helping me to understand this bit better) essentially you are a different person when you're hungry, happy, sad, scared, etc. when you experience such severe trauma that your body decides it's unsafe for your personalities to merge, THATS when you become a system.

Severe Repeated Childhood Trauma.

that is how systems form, thats literally how it works. the trauma factor is what makes the system a system

i wouldnt say im anti-endogenic, more like i'm endogenic cautious.

again i am all for hearing people out, please tell me your thoughts in the reblogs or comments, but this is just my personal take on it.

i wish no harm to people who identify as endogenic, live however you want to live.

It's so fun to still have people talking about how we're not real casually as though that isn't crazy hurtful. Y'all should know better. Or did you forget that a bunch of doctors currently and historically think you don't exist? Having your lived experience be debate fuel isn't a fun experience.

Endos love to act like every anti-endo wishes that they as people didn't exist, when that's just factually untrue.

I hate endos, I hate every sub-label they have, I hate every part of their "movement" to demedicalize a group of already stigmatized mental disorders, I will debate and fight till my last breath that nontraumagenic systems are impossible, and moreover extremely disrespectful/harmful to trauma survivors.

But I don't want them to die. I'm not gonna tell them, or anyone, to kill themselves because of it. I'm not a fucking monster who believes that everyone, even those who spread copious amounts of misinformation, should be erased from existence.

What I want is for them to listen to us, to actually understand what we're saying when we try to educate them on how these disorders work. What I want is for them to listen to the mental health professionals who say time and time again that nontraumagenic systemhood is impossible. I want them to listen when we tell them how much they hurt our communities- yes both of our communities.

But they don't. All they hear is "hate" on them so they turn their ears off and stop listening, even if they could (very possibly) learn something extremely important.

I hate what endos stand for, not who they are.

woah. you ever just like. have a host in denial of it being possible for anyone else to form while there's still only uhh 10 known headmates around, and it stays like that for months until the host finally stops denying. a new headmate appears. and another. and another. you've doubled in the span of 2 months or less and it keeps growing. the system is tripled by now. there's over 30 in there, 32 to be specific if not also counting the 5 that are only hunches and not counted yet due to being too unclear and one that was questioned a while ago but eventually given up on figuring out which doesn't get counted or recorded anywhere but if was counted bumps that 5 up to 6, plus there's still probably very easy chance for more to show up on top of that with our luck and possible low forming tolerance at times (uncertain split/forming tolerance but y'know), and yet ever since that one host stopped being in denial it's become more common sometimes to just. despite there being more now. it's more common just not knowing who's in front at all because nothing seems right and you check back on things done previously whenever different headmates have been in front so you KNOW it's been real and always will be but figuring stuff out is hard, fuck. this time it's been 8 days since we knew who was here in front. please send help lmao

one thing i'd like people to talk about more is the fact that being 'endogenic' or 'willogenic' is the same thing as (or at least derivative of) being transplural.

i believe most rational people can agree that it's absolutely ridiculous to label yourself a system because it's an 'identity,' but one thing transIDs and endos have in common is that they fully believe serious mental health disorders are labels they can wear.

transIDs and endos are both invalid and disgusting, and should be treated as such, because they're nearly the same thing. the main difference is that endos think you can be a system without trauma, while transplurals believe you can 'transition' into being a system. both are gross.

this goes for anyone but im making this post about alters becuase it happened to me today; dont call someones name girly/manly or anything like that if you dont know them. its very fucking weird in general but regardless of the origin of a name, if a man has a "girly" name it is a MANS name because a MAN uses it.

my name is aurora, and my subsystem and our partner call me aury/rory and someone in my server today said my name was girly. bodily we are FTM but i am also FTM in headspace so it felt like a gut punch. for the love of god do NOT do that shit.

You absolutely can focus on queerphobes to the detriment of queer space. If you focus all your energy on making fun of bigots and ignore something like racism in the community you create a space that's unsafe for queer POC. Especially if your insults become bigoted themselves.

Plus if you focus entirely on the us vs them dynamic you lose the ability to change other people's mind and make a real difference. Which you know, should be your objective in discourse spaces. Not just to talk to those you already agree with.
