Let us dispel the idea that the average system is having sit down full conversations with their alters. Throw away the lie that every Part is willing or even able to communicate their needs, memories, or purpose.

Here again is a post from my system of what it is like to be our system. What it is for the average system trying to maintain order within itself:

There is no clear and clean cut communication. At least not often, at all. But this is how we experience it on average.

Emotions: having an emotion pushed on to you that is not your own and you have to use your gut interpretation of what that means. If I find evidence of the little being out and my chest gets tight or my hands tingle, likely that means she had a ptsd episode. It would be a moment of sitting with that to see if a calmness comes with it that I would interpret as someone fronting with her and regulating the body together. If i don't get that, well its the more upsetting option that she likely was left alone in panic.

Images: i feel like this happens most when it comes to social interactions. Especially when it isn't a situation that calls for our social alter so instead it's like a huddle near the front and everyone has their specific flashcards to hold up when i need to recall information or a memory that i dont hold. It feels kinda silly at times, like someone passing you a note in class with the test answers and not getting caught.

Thoughts: pretty much what it says. Thoughts that appear in a complete form and come from out of my control. The difference is when I think my thoughts, it's like a flow of water. It has a start and finish. When I am given a thought from inside, it is dropped in as an already completed form.

Voices: the most rare of all. I think I've only picked up on this 3x. They usually stop on a dime as soon as I stop and recognize them happening. So.. I never actually get any information from them lmao.

Little reminder from an Outed system:

You do not have to tell everyone you're a system or about your disorders/disabilities.

Even from a very open system (us) we are very open about what we have, what we are, and the troubles that surface from such.

People will still paint you as a monster or ridicule you and try to beat you down further. People are stupid and humanity is failing.

You do not have to try to prove yourself right or prove yourself at all if you see the battle is unfair. That does not make you weak, and it doesn't make you what they say you are.

If you know you aren't, thats all you need.

we find with systems collecting gets so much interesting because diverse interests and all that, so I’m asking YOU& 🫵 the system community, how silly is your system with collecting (feel free to yap if you wanna info dump about things you& love >:D)

Anyway here’s some things we collect!

vinyl, we just love all records, when we have the money we will be buying probably a phonograph for wax cylinder next, but we also decently like shellac and CDs

My little pony!!! We love ponies, so does our lovely partner, so we share ponies (also toys in general, have a pretty decent Carebears collection)

Books!!! We love books, we mainly read classic lit, own 21 of the same book lol

first time we found out we had a subsystem was both very scary and very silly. because we all just realised we had very differing perceptions of seemingly one guy. he was either:

A) emotionless & angelic internal manager, kind of scary

B) average-ish religious guy who's very bitter about our life circumstances

C) emotionless & tranquil angel who only shows up when we are very sick, super disconnected from bodily sensations

so it just became the in-system equivalent of one alter going "oh, saint? yeah remember when he ______" and another alter going

Minors are a hard no for us, we're greatly sorry for such. We will interact only at an arms length but we refuse to be more than acquainted.

We are open to Moots!! :D However, note that we suck at talking and trying to communicate. We also have a boundary of making friends WITH out partner system to avoid and discourse and unwanted bad feelings. Ty for your understanding.

We are adults, and expect to be treated as such, regardless of our disorders. Do not baby us, do not give us "child treatment".

Our main host, Illya (🔥), is naturally aggressive. He was or primary protector before he stepped up to host.

We are Diagnosed with DID, BPD, ADHD, and a long list of other disorders. We try our best to be kind hearted due to how we grew up. Though on the flip side of that coin, we have all of those things because of the way we grew up. Therefore, we will be mean and harsh if we have to be.

We have cute puppies :3 we might show them here and there.

Often times were mute! We're heavily selective mute, assumingly due to our suspected autism. Please be patient.

Collectively, we are anxious, autistic, and introverted! Forgive us for our lack of responses or awkward vibes- Social cues are difficult.
