hiiiiii i just wanted to come gush about your wriothesley fic because it was just so beautiful 🥺 i really really loved how you included common teyvat plants all throughout the story, it just felt so interactive in a sense!! also, that part in the last scene about the romaritimes and dendrobiums and the other flowers andddddd the part about naku weeds surviving thunder? i had to individually go look up the lore of all those plants (i mean this in a good way) and you incorporated them saurrrr beautifully ohmigosh :0 i was especially impressed by the dendrobium metaphor it twas beautiful, and it honest to god fit so perfectly with wrio and his backstory. my favorite favoriteeeeee part is how you balanced his vulnerability with his strength. idk idk idk!!!! me just thinks it was a very perfect mix of him being open and “weak” in front of someone but still maintaining that strong aura about him that he has. i’ve never read a wriothesley characterization that was so vulnerable yet felt so real and true to his character so kudos to you you’re amazing 😣 anddddd you’re talented beyond belief i hope you know your ability to put words together is wickedly impressive okie??? so you have my thanks for giving us such a great read🫰🏼mwahmwahmwah 😘

HI i haven’t answered this in a timely manner i know, but that is because i wanted to give you a proper response besides saying “you’re so sweet i cry” LOL <- even though that is a very accurate representation of how i feel. i love flower shop au’s but teyvat plants are actually really interesting some of them have some really cool lore drops and especially dendrobiums i’m sooo glad you liked that part because i find dendrobiums to be the most fascinating flower of all the ones i used. but also tysm for saying you enjoyed the way i balanced wrio’s characterization!!!! that means so very much to me i had never written a long fic for him before this one so it was honestly a very experimental (???) experience for me. i had to really sit and think on a lot of the dialogue so i hope it felt true to his character!! i am honestly so emotional over this ask omg you made my whole night when you sent this the other night i’m sorry i’m just now getting to it but i appreciate you so fiercely 🥹💖 please take this kiss as a token of my gratitude 😚💖

I’ve talked about this before but imagine what it’s like for someone in a country/place where eliot is Top Most Wanted and then your tech guy finds a breakout star baseball player on their visual scanner that looks EXACTLY like spencer. but…there’s no way that’s him, right???

and then the next year it happens again but this time it’s some one hit wonder country singer kenneth crane that has like 78 tween-run fangirl blogs dedicated to him. you see a grainy video of him being chased by a horde of screaming teenage girls and ??? no way Eliot Last Thing You’ll Ever See Spencer is a country singer star just. signing pictures of his face right…?

a few months later your intern shows you footage of an eliot lookalike who is in san lorenzo talking about how there is dog fighting in the presidential palace and you just. sigh. because of course. a scant few days later the political geography of the country changes drastically and damien moreau is imprisoned. …interesting

and then a year of silence goes by. he still shows up as blips on the radar but he must have a good hacker working for him because his tracks on the internet are expertly erased.

every time you ask through interagency channels some random interpol guy talks in (condescending?) riddles at you and it also somehow feels like he’s threatening you

and then your friend who recently got into foreign hockey teams sends you a dropyourgloves video of someone called jacques the bear. you immediately get a headache (and watch some more videos because even you can admit this guy is a good hockey player)

and you know he’s a Bad Guy but it’s been admittedly a bit entertaining seeing what claim to fame he will come upon next. and his most recent actions over the few years make you wonder.

a few months later your phone pings because multiple heads of state evacuated from DC. the reason? eliot spencer was in town. you hear two days later a bioterrorist was taken down by… the report was redacted. your hacker tells you spencer and two teammates were behind the successful operation. which, huh.

not even a full year later it is released that spencer is dead and… you don’t know how to feel.

I love me some delicious miscommunications so:

Bruce and Jason standing off (again) after a mission actually gone right and Bruce is looking constipated trying to articulate how proud he is while Jason’s just pissed as fuck that he accidentally followed the bats’ rules and

Jason, fuming, thinking to himself: Bruce must be behind this, he MANIPULATED me into playing by the rules the asshole I didn’t even get to shoot ANYBODY today im never teaming up with them again my reputation is ruined people are gonna think I’ve gone SOFT

Bruce, going through five stages of grief just trying to find a way to say that he’s proud of Jason without him getting decked in the face and Jason running away: today showed me that you will always be your father’s son (he means himself)

Jason, thoughts immediately going to Willis because Bruce would obviously never address him as his son: actually fuck you, fuck you never speak to me again I can’t believe I was stupid enough to agree to this what the hell is wrong with you

So, on one hand. now you have Bruce face palming because he’s sure he articulated himself in a way that couldn’t be misinterpreted so Jason obviously wants nothing to do with him and oh great they’re back to not speaking terms but hey at least Jason didn’t shoot at him so he obviously understood what he meant, right?? Right????

Meanwhile on the other hand Jason is capital H Hurt and so so angry about it because what the actual fuck. He’s TRYING to reform but obviously nothing will ever be enough for golden standards Bruce so he should just go back to at least beating criminals within an inch of their lives because he wasn’t going to prove Bruce right no matter how much he wants to take those pieces of shit off the streets permanently.

And of course, because both of them would rather shoot themselves in the foot than, I don’t know, talk, it results in a huge falling out and Jason’s “shoot at the Bats on sight” rule is back, until one day just happens to trap Bruce and Jason together in a warehouse rigged to explode. They accidentally went after the same gang and got themselves captured instead in the confusion. So Jason’s watching Bruce frantically trying to dismantle the bomb while sitting back casually taunting him like

Jason: you know damn well your cape’s gonna protect you from most of the explosion and the whole building is deserted by now, why are you trying so hard? The only one who’ll bite the dust is Willis’ son, fitting ending isn’t it? Always his son until the very end, you said it yourself!

And holy mothers of all fuckups Batman, there hasn’t been miscommunication this bad since the aftermath of the Tower of Babel
