My back and hip pain has been a lot more severe recently, and I've noticed an uptick in migraines. Which usually means they are all connected. Here's hoping doing some yoga focused on flexibility and loosening the super tight muscles will help all three issues.

I currently do exclusively pilates and yoga workouts from youtube. However, I've done other body weight workouts with various youtube videos and seen results in the past. 🎀 Current At Home Workout Equipment I Own
Thick Yoga Mat - since I do mainly yoga and pilates my thick yoga may (amazon brand) has served me well. Even tho I am a heavier woman at the moment, I've never had pain or any issues with this mat, and it came with a carry strap which I love! A good, thick workout mat is definitely necessary for working out at home for comfort, safety, etc. Make sure to disinfect it on occasion, especially if you sweat on it a lot!
Resistance Bands - I have about 3 or 4 at different resistance strengths, and they're incredibly useful for a variety of movements, especially lower body ones. They add some extra resistance and make the workouts a bit more challenging when you need something more advanced. I also got mine from Amazon/Walmart a while back. I prefer fabric over rubber because I like to wear workout shorts instead of workout leggings.
Pilates Ball - not a necessity, but useful with some pilates workouts and movements. I have seen sole videos using this, but am not advanced enough to try it on my own yet. Will use for sure once I'm more advanced.
3lb dumbbells - I thought these would be useful for the pilates workouts that had some upper body focus, and as someone who wants to develop a lean and toned upper body, they are perfect for low weight high rep, controlled movements. Again, not advanced enough to use as I want to master my form, but they're gonna come in handy for sure!
Foam Roller - so so good for stretching and muscle recovery on rest days. I love mine but want one that has the bump things on it to help my muscles more. I can imagine how good it'll feel on my legs during a recovery day when I begin wieght lifting again.
Massage Gun - my holy grail for the days I am sore and needing some recovery. my body feels like jelly after using this, and it's just so nice for the days my muscles feel extra tight and super sore.
🎀 Equipment I Want To Buy
Yoga Blocks - these will help me get deeper into the yoga poses once I get more advanced in my practice
Pilates Ring - this honestly looks so fun and challenging to use, I'd love to add it to my collection of useful workout equipment!
Jump Rope - I used to love this as a form of cardio and as long as I don't move into an upstairs apartment, I'm definitely buying one
Pilates Bar - still iffy on this one, it's supposed to mimic a reformer but I want to get better at mat pilates and see if I even end up ever needing or seriously wanting to buy it, its on my list tho
Ankle/Wrist weights - these are gonna be so useful for workouts where hand held dumbbells aren't useful. Want to buy some low weight ones just to help with resistance and extra strength during pilates workouts
Kettlebell weight - I think this would be useful for a workout at home type situation if and when I switch to not doing just pilates and yoga. I know these are useful in their own right, but not needed in my current fitness stage of life.
Core Sliders - these look fun and interesting. They're on my lost for sure, but not sure about the practicality of their use in my life just yet.
That's all that's currently on my at home workout equipment list! As someone who primarily works out at home, the things I currently own are most useful and most of what's on this list is for fun or extra challenge. Just not necessary yet.

Takeyama Yuu/Mount Lady
Perhaps it was an impromptu tryst, because you’re at Mount Lady’s apartment and your only clothes are dirty. Perhaps your stuff got torn up in a fight with a villain and now you’ve come back to hers to ‘celebrate’, you find yourself left with nothing but your underwear. Perhaps not even that. 
You could sleep naked, but it’s not the most comfortable situation to be in. So you wander over to Yuu’s wardrobe (really a walk-in closet). She might only be a debut hero, but she’s very popular and spends a lot of time in the limelight. This translates to making absolute bank, and she spends a lot of it on beautiful clothes. Obviously, you’re not going to wear a gala dress to bed, so you grab a t-shirt that looks pretty old, and maybe a pair of yoga pants. 
Depending on your size compared to her, they might be fine, or they might be a tight fit. When she comes back into the bedroom, her skin gleaming from her nightly skincare routine, she stops in the doorway and pouts at you.
“If you stretch those out, you’re going to have to replace them.”
“...says the woman who turns into a titan?” The irony is too much for you.
“Only my hero costume stretches with me, duh.” A pause. “Your butt does look good in those yoga pants, though.”
Sasaki Mirai/Sir Nighteye
It would seem that if you’re dating Sir Nighteye, you’ve at least got some sense of planning and responsibility. But you’re only human, and sometimes you’re going to find yourself caught short. Short on clothes, in this case. Even if your clothes are clean, you couldn’t fathom sleeping in your work clothes.
You wait until Sir Nighteye is in the bathroom, brushing his teeth, before sneaking open one of his drawers and grabbing something at random. You end up with…
A pair of boxers and a vintage All Might t-shirt.
It’s hardly the sexiest of nightwear, but you make it work. He leans back into the doorway to tell you to borrow some clothing, and you’re lounging on his bed, all “Paint me like one of your French girls”. 
“I’ve been waiting for you~” you purr.
He nearly spits out his mouthwash, and disappears back into the bathroom to gather himself. You distinctly hear him chuckle under his breath, then clear his throat.
“If you want to entice me, darling, don’t wear the face of my former boss on your torso.”
Yamada Hizashi/Present Mic
Hizashi’s always trying to get you to wear his clothes, anyway! He drapes his little moto jacket (the casual one, not the studded one he wears as part of his costume) over your shoulders a lot and tells you how great you look. 
Seeing his partner wear his clothes just gives him this little kick and makes him feel all warm and fuzzy inside. 
You’ve got a variety of options in Mic’s wardrobe. In the t-shirt section, you’ve got a lot of band t-shirts, weird, bright coloured ones covered in fruit or English slogans, a few rare Eraserhead merch t-shirts he got done to piss off Aizawa, and if you want to borrow some boxers, you’ll be hard pressed to find some that don’t have a loud, zany pattern on them. 
If you want to be (moderately) sexy, grab a vintage band t-shirt and a pair of his black boxer briefs. If you want to make him laugh, grab the stupidest t-shirt you can find and pair it with an eye watering set of boxer shorts, especially if they have bananas on them. 
Hizashi grins wide enough to split his face in half at the sight of you in his clothes. It doesn’t matter if you went for sexy or stupid, really, because he’ll just try to get you out of them again, if you know what I mean~
Aizawa Shouta/Eraserhead
This is one of those things that Aizawa doesn’t know he likes until he sees it for the first time. He’s probably dragged himself out of your post-coital snooze to get you both some water or feed the stray cat on his balcony, leaving you to ponder your clothing situation. 
When you open Aizawa’s wardrobe, it’s 75% loose black shirts and pants, with a few non-black items crammed at one end, including those infamous pink sweatpants. 
It seems he’s not totally averse to colour, just not when he’s working. He has a few t-shirts (gifts from Hizashi) covered in cats (as opposed to just covered in cat hair, like the rest). 
If you’ve cuddled him at all, which you have, thoroughly, you know that all his clothes are surprisingly soft and comfortable. He tends to end up with raggedy cuffs on his sleeves, but even so, the shirt has that soft texture clothing gets when it’s been washed many times. You dig out some random black shorts he has, though you’ve never seen him expose his pasty legs in public, so they must be old.
Shouta shuffles back into the room to find you asleep, curled up in your borrowed finery. There’s something about the sight of you lying in his bed, wearing his clothes, looking so warm and comfortable. It’s like a little gut punch of domesticity. 
“You’re meant to ask, you brat,” he says fondly, flopping onto the bed next to you. 
Still, he reflects, as he pulls you closer, that shirt’s gonna smell like you now. Maybe he should make you wear it every time you sleep over.
Yagi Toshinori/All Might
All Might’s still pretty nervous about being in a relationship so he’s not 100% sure of the protocol, especially when you’re at his place and you don’t have any clean clothes to wear to bed. He gets flustered and goes to see if he can quickly wash your clothes, forgetting the entire wardrobe of clean clothes right there.
All Might or Small Might, his clothes are going to absolutely drown you no matter what size you are. Toshi’s a titan. Any t-shirt you try to borrow is basically a giant nightshirt. 
Toshinori splutters a little at the sight of you swimming in the fabric of one of his shirts. Once he’s done coughing into his elbow, he offers you a toothy grin, his eyes crinkled up.
“That…might be a little big on you,” he says, tugging playfully on all the excess fabric. “Are you sure it’s going to be comfortable?”
You tell him that you like the feeling of the soft, loose fabric, and the fact that it smells a little like his cologne, even after being washed. He’s chuckles at that, wrapping his large hands around your waist, the fabric cinching in against you.
“Well, never thought one of my old shirts could look so adorable.”

i think of very highly of myself, like a princess. i did lots of self concept work to get my self concept to where it is now and i can confidently say that my self concept is just as flawless as i am. because i think so highly of myself, i treat myself accordingly. something that i reinforce in my thoughts is to treat myself like my favorite doll.
what does it mean to treat yourself like your favorite doll? PAMPER yourself, treat urself sweetly and preciously and your body and mind and soul will thank you tenfold. every investment that u put into urself whether its mental or physical will give you the highest ROI then anything else can because its YOU.
IN TOUCH WITH GIRLINESS ;
im rly in touch with my girliness when im practicing self care or doing something creative (like girlblogging for example) to me, femininity is expression and creativity and energy and beauty so anything that resonates with those four words is enriching my own girliness.

pampering and self care time every single day is a MUST
dancing or stretching
most tension for girls at least, is stored in ur hips, so whenever ur doing stretches or when u dance, i like to focus on my hips movements so that then i can release tension and let energy flow. doing so helps me to feel super in touch with my girliness and my femininity in general, so things like belly dancing and yoga.
PAMPERING ;
manis/pedis WEEKLY or every two weeks, u dont have to get them professionally done if u dont want to, but mainly focus on being well kept and well groomed and moisturized.
making sure my hair looks pretty and to my liking
being EXTRA during shower time ; using high quality and sweet smelling products, using body oils and body butters and lotions. taking bubble baths and using fancy bath milks and bubble bath.
GIRLY INCORPORATION ;
you can glamorize even the simplest of tasks by being super girly. here are some examples of incorporating girliness into mundane tasks. girliness is lots of ROMANTICIZATION

studying -> using cute stationary (mine are predominantly pink) decorated notes, cute study playlist (i listen to subliminals) keep an adorable space to study and wear a cute outfit

being sweet and gentle with everyone (including urself) is SUCH a girly move and it makes u so pleasant and doll-like. theres no need to be nasty for no reason, cuz thats not hot. so mind ur p's and q's. say thank you, articulate ur feelings and ur thoughts. also, me saying making an effort to be nice is girly code does NOT mean that if someone is coming at u some kind of way that u shouldn't stand up for urself bcuz u absolutely should, but rly emphasize grace.

M A S T E R L I S T
for losing as much as possible in a short amount of time (cuz we are all desperate), from me - a biotechnologist, who relapsed (the demons never leave)
the tips i am about to share with all my girliepops are all based on science and work; if you have any other tips, feel free to share in the comments, so we can have all the tips in one place!
• eat your meals from smaller sized plates, to trick your brain you are eating more
• cut up your food into small pieces
• chew every bite at least 10-15 times, until it is a purée consistency; this way you will be eating slower and give your brain more time to realise you are full
• sip water with a lemon slice between your bites
• focus on eating vegetables and protein, limit carbs
• drink a lot of water, and I mean a lot
• add lemon slices to your water to make it have some flavour; also the lemon juice in water before your meals will help reduce the glucose spike => less insulin released from liver => less absorbed glucose from carbs/sugars/starches => less fat on your body
• move for 10 mins right after eating - walk, do calf raises, some light movement so all the glucose can be used before getting stored as fat on your body
• drink tea - green tea, detox tea, whatever tea, without a sweetener
• do not drink diet sodas/colas - or any kind of liquid that is not water/tea - these are useless calories, why would you do that to yourselves?! even if it says 0 cals - this s#it is so bad for you, and the carbonation makes you feel bloated like a god damn whale! ditch the diet sodas girliepops
• implement some kind of movement every day - walking, pilates, yoga, dance workouts, resistance bands workouts or stretching
• do not weigh yourself everyday - due to hormones our weigh fluctuates every day and this will just make you feel bad if you lose and gain 1-2 legs everyday depending on your menstrual cycle, water weight and so on.. weigh yourself every 2 weeks.
• do not drink fruit juice - this is such a scam; hear me out: how many oranges does it take to make 1 glass of orange juice? around 3. can you eat three whole oranges in one sitting? i bet no. then why would you drink 3 oranges? when you make fruit juice, all the fibre and the pulp is removed, leaving you with just the juice with all the sugar in it (in the form of glucose and fructose) so you are basically drinking pure sugar, which turns into fat… just eat your damned fruit, instead of drinking a bunch of empty calories
• take red cranberry supplements - they are usually taken for UTIs, but the red cranberry has diuretic effect, and will make you pee your water weight out; please do not take more than 2 pills and remember to drink plenty of water so you don’t damage your kidneys!!!!
• take probiotics - this will ensure your gut health stays good while restricting foods, so you don’t end up constipated and bloated
• i personally do not eat dairy products (i am lactose intolerant) - they are full of hormones from the cows, give you acne and inflammation, and the protein in it is not worth it considering the amount of fat these products have; skip the dairy if you can
• if you drink a lot of coffee, remember to drink plenty of water! coffee has a diuretic effect and if you are not drinking more water, it will make you retain whatever water is in your body, leading to water weight gain
• if you end up binging, do so mindfully - do not give in to all the food, just have a piece of chocolate, not the whole chocolate bar; have a piece of cake, not the whole cake; then get back on track and try to exercise as much as possible to burn the excess calories
• i think this is obvious but let me say it just in case - in order to lose weight, you have to be on a calorie deficit - meaning you burn/use more calories than you consume; but!! here is the trick - you have to maintain low calorie diet, do not ⭐️ve for more than 2 days, as this will f#ck up your metabolism - your body goes into fight or flight response, meaning everything you eat after f4sting will remain on your body as a reserve of food, in case you end up ⭐️ving again; so have your veggies and protein (chicken breasts, white fish)
• keep yourself busy so you don’t think about f0od - study, work, read books, journal, whatever it is, your day has to be full of activities do you can forget to e4t
• reject offered food - say you already ate / yr not hungry / you are allergic to some ingredient / you have a bad migraine and this will make it worse / or take the food and say you will have it later and just give it to someone else (pls don’t throw in trash, do not waste food)
• when eating with family / boyfriend - place food in a smaller plate, cut up food into very small pieces and eat very slowly and chew every bite for a long time, sip water between every few bites, then say you are full and cannot eat anymore / that you ate a bit earlier and yr full
• when eating, eat your veggies first, then your protein and eat the smallest amount of carbs - always leave leftover carbs in your plate
• do not eat any snacks - no cereal bars, no cereal, no chips, no crisps, no crackers, no salty sticks, just do not eat snacks!
• if you feel like eating - drink water first, then have veggies (cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, radishes, etc) or fruit (apples, citrus, any kind of berries)
• if you are having breakfast - always eat a savoury breakfast - eggs, avocado, veggies etc; never eat a sweet breakfast - cereal, croissants, pancakes, etc, this will spike up your glucose levels and all that sugar will turn into fat; a sweet breakfast will make you feel tired and exhausted all day, leading you to eat more
• wear a waist trainer - do so for no more than 8hrs a day; this will also help you have smaller portions of food, as it won’t allow your stomach to expand
• do not purge - this is very bad for your teeth and overall health; the stomach acid is very strong and every time you purge, your teeth are getting damaged; just don’t overeat in the first place and have self control!

coming home to you is a bliss.
his heart is full of love, mind clouded with the image of your smile and eyes that he had longed for during his three months of deployment. keeping a small picture of you in his wallet didn’t do any justice, if anything it makes him miss you more.
simon reaches his arm to the other side of your bed just so he can pull you close to him. yet to his surprise, you aren’t there. his eyes snap wide open, sitting up straight with brows knitted in confusion. letting out a small groan before looking over his shoulder at the clock that reads ‘7.50 AM’
as he about to fall back in bed, he hears something from the kitchen. plates scrapping against the kitchen tiles, soft hums to a tune he’s familiar with along with the smell of eggs and bacon.
simon smiles. he gets up from the bed before putting on his grey sweatpants that’s discarded from the floor. his eyes searches for his t-shirt but make no luck. figures you have it on and that just makes his smile stretches even wider.
emerging from the room and stepping down the stairs, he finds your back facing him. just like he had thought. you’re wearing his big old t-shirt with nothing underneath. at least he hopes it’s nothing.
you aren’t aware of his presence just yet, keeping yourself busy with the eggs and singing softly along to tyla - girl next door.
he watches carefully for a while. soft love blooming inside of him. never thought he’d encounter something like this in his life. to have you. to love you. he’s not taking this one for granted.
with slow and silent steps, simon wraps your waist from behind making you jump in surprise.
“Si! holy shit you scared me” a yelp escapes from your mouth as he chuckles lowly. pulling your back closer to his his chest. nose buried on your neck to inhale that sweet scent of yours.
“morning, baby” his voice is low. heavy. mostly it’s because he had just woken from the deep slumber. something that you find extremely sexy. “making breakfast, i see.”
you hum, flipping the bacon on the pan as you feel his hands wander under the shirt. goosebumps rises against your skin as he gives your waist a light squeeze.
“figured you might be hungry after last night. because i am” you let out a giggle hearing him groan after. “you worn me out last night.”
he shakes his head in disagreement, resting his chin on your shoulder. “you, worn me out” he corrects, eyes focusing the way you cook. “was tough to keep up with you, love—jesus. has it been far too long or have you actually been doing that trick with your legs and ass a long time? because at this point I can’t remember”
you throw your head back in laughter at his comment. he sounds serious and not actually playing.
“guess the yoga class is paying off.” is the only thing you respond, earning a small slap on your butt. “there you go baby… eat up” you place the scrambled eggs and bacon on the plate yet he makes no effort to let go, only to pull your body closer to him.
your heart warms at that, hand coming down to squeeze his. “it’s going to get cold, si”
he growls, “let it” with one swift motion he turns you around, locking you with his bare body. your breath hitches at the sight of your beautiful man. soft pretty scars adorned his features. “i’m hungry for something else.”
with one hand, he lifts you up making you squeal in surprise and giggle. your bare legs wrapped around his hips as he carries you to the counter, the other hand pushing a few objects away from the table before dropping you on top.
“you just said I’ve worn you out last night” you playfully remark as he hooks his fingers underneath the waist band of your panties, pulling it down to remove it.
he shakes his head, crouching down slightly to kiss your anklet before putting both of your legs on his broad shoulders. his warm breath against your wet cunt is enough to make you shiver.

Your back aligns with your heart and your crown as your toes curl. With your eyes softly shut and lids relaxed, every feeling is more accentuated. Every flex and pull is paid with generous attention. Scrunching a leg up, your knee almost meets your shoulders. Stretching out your thighs like a rubber band. “Good that's it.”
The calming voice eases and cools your spine. Vertebrae by vertebrae. Taking your time you swing your hands to the sky above your head. The shake of the muscles in your core and thighs make it hard to catch your breath at first, but you realign your focus and find the method you need. All the way In and all the way out. Valkyrie is your summer fling. She let you stay at her place all day today because she, “wouldn’t be too late.” But now it’s dark out and past dinner. As much as you want to take care of food tonight, you had no idea when she would be home.
But just as you’re thinking of her again, you feel a familiar hand on your shoulder. Moving your headphones to the side to hang around your neck, using the button on the side to pause your Yoga video. Keeping your position you look at her sopping wet hood of hair and cold face, smiling at you. “Keeping busy?” She pushes the stringy soaked hair out of her face as it drips onto the floor.
“Yea, what happened Val? You're all wet?” You slowly put your palms together, taking an inhale and placing your thumbs to center. “Just forgot my raincoat.” Valkyrie looks you up and down and then walks off into the bathroom to dry her hair with a towel and change into something more comfortable. You decide to wrap up your session without guidance and set your headphones to the side.
Taking a deep breath in you slowly plant your hands back onto the mat, shifting your right leg backwards into a plank. Lowering yourself down to the ground you move your hands up to align with your shoulders. You inhale into cobra reaching your head towards the sky and then let it all go as you lower your temple back down to the mat. Lifting again into plank you bend into downward dog, shifting the bend of your knees, and just feeling the fullness of the stretch.
You’re so focused on your alignment that you fail to notice Valkyrie has snuck up on you again, now with a hand grazing your hips as she stands in your blind spot. “You know this position is really distracting.” Her tone is low and predatory. You slowly lean forward and place your knees back to the mat, raising yourself to meet her level as much as you are able.
“I could show you a few other positions if you’re that interested.” You say with an innocent inflection. Your intentions align with hers but playing dumb with her makes the game of cat and mouse all the more fun.
A smile of mischief grows on her face. She steps forward onto your mat and puts a finger to your chin. A play that makes your whole body feel a warm rush, starting at your heart and tickling in expanse. “Show me, angel.”
You smile innocently and guide her to the center of the mat with you. The fact that you're facing each other makes it all the more exciting. “Okay so put your feet hip-width apart and your shoulders back.” You glance at her stance, and nudge her feet a little farther with your foot to a better alignment. “Okay and now close your eyes or hold a soft gaze to the floor. Take a deep breath in.” You hear her inhale deeply with you. “And out.” Her warm exhale hit you as it glided out of her mouth.
“Now slowly swing your arms reaching to the sky on your inhale, and then exhale to lower your shoulders as you continue to reach up.” You open your eyes a little to check how she's following, and she is. Her stance accentuates her godly features which only proved further her worthiness as king of New Asgard and keeper of your heart. You weren’t sure if she was aware of that second title though.
“And we just stay here and breathe for a moment. Make sure your weight is evenly dis-” You’re interrupted by her touch as it softly travels up your shirt from your waist all the way to the cusp of your breasts. “What was that? Make sure my weight is where?” She teases.
Her thumb rubs back and forth on the hill, not even close to granting you the satisfaction of her touching your peaks. You try to focus on your breath again, play it off as hard to get. “Make sure your weight is evenly…distributed on all four corners of your feet.” It was clear she noticed your change in tone due to her hands moving back down to the hem of your shirt. You hold your breath waiting her her to do more.
“Make sure to breathe, love.” Fuck. Her words make it hard for you not to shudder a smidge as your lungs deflate against her touch. She slowly lifts your shirt up and over your head, exposing your breasts. You hear it get tossed on the floor beside you.

barty: goes to the gym but does not take it even remotely seriously he dgaf. lazily mixing cookies & cream flavor protein powder into his gross plain yogurt and eating it standing up in the middle of the kitchen in his boxers. built long, mean, & lean like a hyena (!!). his back and shoulders are fucking unfair and evan wants to climb him. the only thing he regularly does is go for daily distance runs with his shitty old iphone strapped into an arm band & his wired earbuds

You've just dropped off the girls at school and, seeing that Dave is still home (a rare occasion this late in the day) you're secretly overjoyed and make an excuse to stay near him. Carol's car is not in the driveway, so you figure she must be at a salon appointment.
"I'm going to make some more coffee. Care for a cup, Mr. York?" you casually ask, watching him at the kitchen table.
He chuckles softly and looks up at you. The look on his face is slightly amused. "Sure." His deep voice sends a tiny tremor to your heart. "I'm always up for a cup of coffee."
You notice he looks less tired today and you want to ask what's on his mind, but as he's kept his dealings with you polite and professional, you aren't sure what to say. "Happy anniversary," you tell him, realizing you forgot to say it to Carol earlier. "Looking forward to dinner tonight?"
Knowing just how he likes his coffee, you prepare it just so and fix yourself a cup as well. Joining him at the table you sneak glances at him over your coffee cup - something you'd never dare to do in front of his wife. But she's not here.
You realize he hasn't answered you, likely hasn't even heard you. "Is something wrong?" you ask.
"Hm?" He looks at you, his concentration broken and for a moment you adore the lost puppy dog look in his eyes. "Sorry, my mind was elsewhere. Everything's fine, I'm just a little tired still. Late flight.. you know." He smiles but it doesn't quite reach his eyes.
You simply nod and the two of you sit in a comfortable silence. A torrent of rain falls from the sky and you both watch the downpour through the windows. "Looks like Mother Nature wants us to have a cozy day inside," he says jokingly, and your heart jumps to imagine what a day like that would be with him. Cuddling, kissing, fucking on the couch while an old black and white movie plays on the TV in the background.
"It'd be nice to get under the covers, read a little until I fall asleep," you say when you realize he's watching you. "Do you have to go to work today?" He was still in his pajamas: a white t-shirt and blue plaid wool pants.
"Unfortunately yes. I've got a big meeting today." He looks you over as he sips his coffee, licks the droplets from his lips. "What are you going to do with yourself all day?"
"Well, no cozy day for me either. I have to pick up the dry cleaning then make brownies for the girls' bake sale at school. And as usual, I'll be daydreaming about you.
He nods. "Well," he stands to stretch. "I'm going to go upstairs and shower."
"Of course. Don't let me keep you." Blushing a little you get up to do some dishes. By the time you're drying them, Dave comes back down, freshly showered and dressed for work. He smiles as he approaches you at the counter and helps you, and you get a little flustered at his presence, the nearness of him. "Please, you don't have to help. You're already dressed up." And boy does he look good. Black suit, crisp white shirt, and the tie that you gave him for a Father's Day present this past summer, red with silver stripes. Plus his American flag pin. In your sweater and yoga pants you feel unsophisticated. Young. Below his league.
And of course because you're flustered your clumsiness rears its head and you accidentally drop a plate on the floor and it shatters. "Oh my god! Sorry! I'll clean it up!" You race to get the broom and dustpan to tidy the floor. Dave helps you, assuring you it's fine, and when your fingers accidentally touch it's like a little shock of electricity. Your gazes meet, but you sense too much in this brief moment, and you glance at his hands, the band of gold that gleams upon his finger. "I almost forgot, I'm picking up Carol's wedding ring from the jeweler's today," you say as you sweep up the plate shards. "She's going to love the inscription you added for your anniversary." Your face is hot, as if Dave can see through your babbling. You reprimand yourself for talking too much during your nice little moment.
"Yeah, she's going to love it all right," he says faintly, as if deep in thought.
"Any woman would love that." You stand to put the broken pieces in the trash. Inwardly you berate yourself for your timidity, for perpetuating a crush that will go nowhere, and for thinking that it even could. Dave says something but you don't catch it. And when you turn around he's gone.

That afternoon Alice and Molly help you with the baking then do their homework upstairs. Alone, you eye Carol's wedding ring in its box. You read the inscription on the back: 'Two are better than one'. Just out of curiosity you try it on your own finger, imagining that Dave has selected it for you, bought it for you, offered a life of love with this gorgeous diamond. You imagine yourself saying yes, hugging him, kissing him, telling all your friends and family.. it's a silly fantasy, but it makes you smile.
Then it gets stuck on your finger.
Carol must have the most delicate hands in all the world, because out of everything you try, nothing works. Ice, water, Vaseline: all useless. It's the worst thing that could happen, and on the worst timing. You feel like an idiotic character in a sitcom. You're still trying to force it off when Dave comes home. He sees the distress in your face. "What's wrong?"
"I did something stupid." You lift your hand and show him his wife's ring on your finger. "I just wanted to try it on, and now it's stuck. I can't let her come home and see me like this.."
He tries to help you remove it without hurting you, but it proves fruitless. "All right. Well, if it's stuck on your finger it's going to have to stay for a moment." He looks amused by the situation. "I guess you're going to be wearing it for now."
Your eyes widen and you glance at your watch. "She'll be home soon.. and you have your anniversary dinner tonight.." you feel a sense of hopelessness and you wish you hadn't been so curious about something that isn't yours. "I'll make it come off, I promise. It's my fault for putting it on in the first place."
Dave smiles warmly. "Hey, don't be too hard on yourself. It was an innocent mistake."
"Maybe we could keep this little incident just between us?"
"It'll be our little secret. I promise."
You hear Carol's car in the driveway. "Maybe you could distract her for a little bit? I think I know one more thing to try to get this off.."
In the kitchen you try a last minute remedy while also listening for Carol. You hear the front door open, and she says, "Aren't you going to welcome me home, Dave?"
With a rush of adrenaline you finally free the ring from your finger, put it back in its velvet box, and stuff it in your pocket. "Hi Carol! Please, let me get those grocery bags for you! I'm sure you want to start getting ready for your big date tonight," you say in a singsong voice. When she's not looking you hand Dave the box with the ring inside as you carry the bags to the kitchen.
You're shaking as you put the groceries away, but you're much calmer than before. You worry that Carol can suddenly read minds and that she'll know what you were doing with her wedding ring on.
"Dave and I are staying at a hotel after dinner tonight," Carol informs you. "We won't be back until the morning."
There's a little stab of jealousy in your heart, but it's not the first time you've ever felt it while working here. You hide your feelings with a smile and get to work on dinner for the girls. As Carol goes upstairs to get ready she leaves you and Dave alone in the kitchen. The air is rife with simmering tension, both of you curious about the other, yet maintaining a safe distance. Carol and the girls come down, the little ones ready to eat and the lady of the house dressed elegantly, leaving a cloud of Versace perfume in her wake. "We should head out now." She gives Dave a little peck on the cheek, causing both you and him to blush.
You think they've left, and you don't hear the door reopen. Dave comes back, looking a little shy, which is unusual for him. "I just.. wanted you to know how much you've meant to me since you started working here," he says, out of earshot of the girls. "You're more important to me than you think. You really help around the house and you watch over the kids. I'm glad you're here.. I'm very lucky to have you with us."
You've known Dave for several months, and he's not one to talk in circles. You have a feeling he's not saying something. "I'm the lucky one," you quietly reply.
Dave shakes his head. "You're really something, you know that?" His smile lights up his face.
You could stay here and flirt with him all night, but even though Carol's too much of a lady to honk the car horn while waiting for him, you let him know it's time to go. "Bye now. Happy anniversary, Mr. York."
He nods, winks at you, and leaves.

i think of very highly of myself, like a princess. i did lots of self concept work to get my self concept to where it is now and i can confidently say that my self concept is just as flawless as i am. because i think so highly of myself, i treat myself accordingly. something that i reinforce in my thoughts is to treat myself like my favorite doll.
what does it mean to treat yourself like your favorite doll? PAMPER yourself, treat urself sweetly and preciously and your body and mind and soul will thank you tenfold. every investment that u put into urself whether its mental or physical will give you the highest ROI then anything else can because its YOU.
IN TOUCH WITH GIRLINESS ;
im rly in touch with my girliness when im practicing self care or doing something creative (like girlblogging for example) to me, femininity is expression and creativity and energy and beauty so anything that resonates with those four words is enriching my own girliness.
pampering and self care time every single day is a MUST
dancing or stretching
most tension for girls at least, is stored in ur hips, so whenever ur doing stretches or when u dance, i like to focus on my hips movements so that then i can release tension and let energy flow. doing so helps me to feel super in touch with my girliness and my femininity in general, so things like belly dancing and yoga.
PAMPERING ;
manis/pedis WEEKLY or every two weeks, u dont have to get them professionally done if u dont want to, but mainly focus on being well kept and well groomed and moisturized.
making sure my hair looks pretty and to my liking
being EXTRA during shower time ; using high quality and sweet smelling products, using body oils and body butters and lotions. taking bubble baths and using fancy bath milks and bubble bath.

My Experience at the Pittsburgh Ritual
Gonna go ahead and put this under a read more as it might get long...
Who am I kidding its gonna be long as fuck.
I'll go ahead and do this song by song to keep it...somewhat organized lmao
After the opening band (which they did fantastic!! Just not everyone's cup of tea. And that's okay!! The singer did make the microphone peak a few times, (it surprised me a few times) and they went on like...10 minutes early and ended early too, I'm not sure why they went on early?) the wonderful stage crew of Sleep Token worked to get the stage torn down and set back up for the boys.
There was one stage hand that brought out "The Mic Stand" and EVERYONE went wild and he just stood there, holding the stand for a good few seconds before walking off. It was hilarious.
I heard Sam testing out II's drums. You go Sam, pop off king.
More stage hands, more running wires. I applaud the stage hands, it was efficient, quick, a well oiled machine.
The Night Goes Not Belong to God
Vessel steps onto stage first, applause, cheers, screams. He sings the first few lines. The Girls. The wonderful and beautiful Espera. Then II and his wonderful drums. Then IV came out...
Then III runs out of his side like a bat out of hell and POINTS at the crowd. Goddamn III was on his chaotic SHIT that night I swear to god.
The entire crowd was ready to sing along the entire time, it was beautiful.
The Offering
Vessel was so dancey the entire night and this song just solidifed how dancey pants mcgee he was gonna be.
II was vibing in the beginning, feeling the music, ya love to see it. I remember him stretching his arms out, its was adorable.
III was feeling the night the ENTIRE night, everytime I was able to see him, he was bent over just bobbing to the beat. Like, III you good?
Vessel's growl was FANTASTIC here and he went "OH, OH". Like Vessel PLEASE. He danced more, of course.
Dark Signs
I could really only see II, Vessel and IV from my seat for most of the song. Where I was seated it was soooo hard for me to see Espera I was so sad, I really wanted a good view of the girls but light fixtures blocked my view. I was vibing pretty hard though.
Higher
I feel like this was one of the songs where the crowd sung along super loud with Vessel. There were a few songs that the crowd just shouted along with him. I looooved the lighting they use for Higher.
II looked like he was having the time of his life on his platform. "Look guys I'm finally taller than you"
III also still doing his yoga routine of bending in half at the waist (as he had been doing all set)
Vessel scream/growling "The debt that I owe" and the entire crowd screaming it back to him at the same time. Chills.
GOD ESPERA LOOKS SO GOOD IN ORANGE LIGHT. YES QUEENS
Atlantic
Cue the first song of me trying not to cry. It was beautiful as it always is. Espera's backups???? GOD SO GOOD. I'm also GUSHING OVER THE LIIIIIGHTS. The lasers had me geeking as an old stage hand. And the boys had a little jam session on the middle platform. It was so cute. 😊
II was VIBING HARDCORE, truly feeling the music on his platform. So was IV. Gosh they love that song.
Hypnosis
Another song the crowd just BELTED along with Vessel. Another song with dancey pants Vessel. This song was so so fun. Watching Vessel just dance his way across the stage just made me giggle. He hit some high ass notes too!! The crowd was waving their arms for the boys, feeling the vibes.
Vessel's little arm raise towards the end too? Gooooood. Immaculate.
Like That
Time for III to bother II.mp3
III is on II's platform. He had his arm around II, I saw that much from my seat, then I remember II put his arm around III and with a drumstick in his hand shake his hand on the beat of Vessel singing "Do you like that?" III got off the platform after that.
Alkaline
Steppy steppy Vessel time. It was a weird thing to see from the side angle I had, but I got the gist lol. II was swaying side to side on his platform.
Another song the crowd just fucking shouted out along with Vessel. I swear sometimes I could hear the crowd more than I could hear Espera!!!!
Vessel did seem to enjoy it though as he did do a bit of ad-libbing if you can call it that? Added some things to enhance the song.
Missing Limbs
PROJEKT ATLANTIC SONG! WE LIT UP THAT STADIUM!!!!!
So many lights, it almost completely lit up the entire place! It was so pretty!! It wasn't all pink, but it was pretty close!
Another song I almost cried to.
Espera's backups....so fucking pretty.
Chokehold
So I neglected to say this in earlier songs, but there was a pit in almost every song that a pit would be warranted. Chokehold had a pretty decent pit. This was the song where I gave up sitting down in my chair and stood the fuck up. I was in the nosebleeds and was a bit nervous of the height but WHATEVER.
The seating right next to me also had one guy who was like motioning for everyone in his section to stand and they did so that entire section stood and I was like...YEAH IMMA DO THAT TOO
ANYWAY!! Vessel hit some fucking high notes and we got dancey pants Vessel back. He was so dancey towards the end. Gotta get those ants out his pants.
When the chorus of Chokehold came on, it was another of the parts where the crowd just BELTED it along with Vessel and I swear Vessel got quieter just to hear the crowd. If that's true, that's so sweet of him. He also hung onto the note at the end like COME ON MAAAAAAN.
The Summoning
Again, time for crowd sing along!!!
The whole crowd went INSANE when he growled. It was WILD.
Vessel went to go bother IV when it was time for his solo. I couldn't quite see what he did, but I'm sure it was amazing. ;u;
IV YOUR FUCKING SCREAMS MADE ME SO HAPPY TO HEAR IN PERSON
The interlude extended to hear Vessel's piano and II's DRUMS. HE GOT HIS OWN SOLO!! LIKE HOOOOOLY SHIT!!!!! II IS SUCH A GODDAMN GOD.
The second part? The crowd? Singing along? Look. I know not everyone enjoys hearing the crowd singing along with the boys, I've seen the discourse. But it was so so cool to be a part of it, to hear it. To see the boys FEEDING OFF of the energy of the crowd and getting even MORE energized from it.
That's just my two cents, though.
Granite
III AND IV SWITCHED SIDES!!! I FINALLY GOT A GOOD VIEW OF III!!!! AND ANOTHER CROWD SING ALONG!!!
THE AD LIBS!!!!!!! THE CROWD KNEW SOME OF IT!!!!! IT WAS SO COOL!
Hearing the ad libs that Vessel does of this song I am just like AAAAAAAAAAAA
I will say, when III asked for his pit, he got his pit. It was a fantastic fucking pit too. Pretty big, lots of people, and it calmed down when it should have, very respectful.

Rain
I think at this point, the crowd just sings along with Vessel. It's just safer to assume lol.
The lighting of Rain will always astound me. It's so beautiful. So well done.
III again doing full body head bangs and that will never not be funny to me.
I can also say with confidence that Pittsburgh knows how to keep time with their claps. Let's go Pittsburgh, we actually know how to clap on time to Rain. 🤣
Ascensionism
Vessel starts to break down here. Which almost makes me break down. There's a full recording of the Pittsburgh ritual where it's a little hard to hear the hitches in his voice, but in person you could hear he had more breathlessness, more hitches...he was starting to get super emotional.
He was really feeling the story he was telling throughout this entire set list.
When he says the final "Diamonds in the trees, pentagrams in the night sky", the entire crowd SHOUTED it back to him.
Same with "You make me wish I could disappear" the crowd was right along with him.
Take Me Back to Eden
They added bird calls and I think even very quiet running water sounds to this, such a nice touch. The lighting again, so good, such great atmosphere. GOD I CANT GUSH ANYMORE ABOUT THE LIGHTING, THE COLORS, THE WAY THE LASERS ARE, THE WAY THEY AFFECTED THE FOG LIKE HOLY SHIT
God the ad lib vocals from Vessel were so so good...I was so blessed to hear them in person.
The crowd was rapping along with Vessel and when III was commanding the crowd when that happened, walking across the stage swinging his arm like, III, what are you doing you silly man.
Vessel also started crying a bit during this...his voice broke a bit and I'm just like...my baby.
And of course, the crowd just joins in with Vessel, showing him that he is loved, we all love him. c:

God after seeing Sleep Token in person and hearing this in concert, this song just means so much more to me.
The crowd of course was singing along.
II was feeling it.
Vessel SCREAMED "Do you remember me?" And he was emotional again, I could hear his voice breaking every so often. He also screamed "The night belongs to you".

A night that I will always remember. Even if just in fragments and through pictures I have taken and through videos others have recorded.
Truly, the night belonged to us, Pittsburgh. It was an honor, a privilege, and a once in a lifetime experience to see the entirety of Sleep Token. The boys, Vessel, II, III, IV. The Girls, Espera. Their wonderful, hardworking backstage crew. All of them did so well.
I hope to see them again in this lifetime.
You are so loved.

(disclaimer: I am only in the middle of thriller bark, so I don't know if this has been touched on.)
so, funny thing about monkey d Luffy
this motherfucker usually does yoga/warmup stretches before a fight gets serious. If you have a decent grasp of how muscles work in relation to yoga, then you probably know that muscles are semi elastic, meaning that they stretch, and take a while to return to usual, allowing for better workouts, unlike something elastic like a rubber band that returns to normal immediately. Monkey d Luffy is elastic. He returns to normal immediately after stretches. Therefore, yoga and warmup stretches have no effect on Luffy, so he either does not realize this and does it out of habit, or he's doing it for dramatic effect
I do not think that Luffy is smart enough to realize this, so the latter is probably correct. Strangely, despise him probably knowing how muscles usually work in a normal human, chopper has never brought it up or asked Luffy about it, so either chopper has not realized either, or he just doesn't bring it up for some reason
