Yknow i get why scara is such a hater when it comes to childe because imagine you’re a 400+ year old puppet with your other immortal coworkers with their dark aesthetics and colors that all fit together in some way shape or form and then your boss decides to hire some 17 year old ginger kid just completely ruining the vibe. I'm trying to find more peace with 'ugly' productivity. I am vulnerable to the allure of perfection, especially the kind encapsulated in pristine layouts, writing and appearance. Alas, images are not a lived reality. This blog is not a lived reality either, but I would like for it to be somewhat accurate to life. On a different note, I'm idly pondering ways of structing my commonplace. It is almost exclusively text, the exception being film stubs, and I dislike the circle indexing system as that doesn't help me easily find specific information. I would keep a running index digitally, but I have just a few too many loose quotes without further context slotted into the book. Very open to suggestions (and general thoughts related to commonplacing).

one of my friends is a biologist & i was really amused hearing some of her stories yesterday because they put into context just how believable newt's kaiju drift is as Shit A Biologist Would Do. like my friend has personally met both a guy who got infected with a botfly larva and didn't do anything to remove it (because he just didn't mind), and another guy who identified a tapeworm species by intentionally exposing himself to it (he had it narrowed down to 2 species and needed to know if it was the one that would infect humans) (it was)
