this is by no means an exhaustive list but definitely the moments i think of most often ^_^

i loooveee. this part. they’re rlly fun to look at in general in this arc but this bit in particular has always stood out to me? their eye shadow for sure has glitter in it (detail i decided on when i was like 13 that i still stand by). it’s just silly. they’re irritated.

and then i really love all the live shows. i think that’s like,, Peak Unfiltered Sam. this goes for every other character as well but i really like hearing from them directly as opposed to through cecil. also their VA is just fucking awesome. LOVE her. my favoriteeee live show with them rn is the haunting of night vale? but it changes occasionally.

in that same vein, their bit in episode 88! i see people say often that wtnv drops off in year four, but actually this episode is when it gets good. the song choice. they have a caffeine headache and they don’t even drink caffeine. EYE think that they just like to drink tea and don’t realize that it has caffeine in it. they’re pretty upset about it though.

also rlly rlly love this part from 228! it makes me sad that this is one of the last time they’re mentioned in this arc because i find the VERY sudden malice between them and janet really fascinating? and this is like a really big turning point. REALLY wish they were even hinted at in 230. miss them.

and i know a lot of people don’t like the frank chen arc? but EYE do. they have a lot of rlly great moments in that one. like they literally necromance someone. come on.

probably missed some things and will be annoyed about it later but yeah ^_^ live laugh love sheriff sam.

i humbly intend to offer a zs(z) historical/fantasy fic with samurai zoro and kitsune sanji! wherein sanji's home is a shrine on a certain mountain, zoro arrives one day (much to sanji's chagrin), sparking a chain of unexpected events that revolve around the shrine, a sword, a corrupt shogun, deaths that occurred a decade earlier, and the very mountain that sanji just wants to protect.

bonus points for traumatized, jaded sanji who distrusts people, zoro who doesn't gaf about politics but does care when his friends and family are in trouble, putting wano characters in a blender and gleefully sprinkling them here and there around the plot, and me being able to do one of my absolute favorite things in the world (finding new ways to beat up vinsmoke judge). also half-human-half-kitsune form sanji and everything that includes (obnoxious eyebrow wiggle here)

Do you have any headacanons surrounding about how the townies (like Otto, Gurney, etc) acted before they were expelled? did they know/get along with eachother before they were expelled ?

starting from your examples, gurney wasn't expelled, he just. dropped out at some point

i'm not sure if he went to the bullworth academy?? he probably attended the public school, and dropped out because he just... couldn't get himself interested in academic knowledge, yknow?

he was always friends with edgar, though; he's the eldest among the townies (23 yo) and really just keeps hanging out with them because of the friendship

otto attended bullworth, but he never really fit in, so to say

he always pretty much kept to himself, often overwhelmed by the chaotic crowd, plus he really wasn't in a good place mentally

he did get good results though, and the grades would've been in the sky if he didn't fight with teachers often

before the end of his freshman year, he was hospitalized after a breakdown and he never went back to school

duncan was a nerd; melvin was his best friend and also the only one he was out to

they were also the two nerds of the time who were better at humanistic subjects than scientific ones (he had a special repulsion for biology)

and he loved to cosplay too!! melvin still is insecure about his body, but duncan was almost able to convince him to try too

but he dropped out during sophomore year, crushed by the continuous bullying davis i'm looking at you

he recognized otto from the school when they met again (they weren't in the same classes, but they did notice each other from time to time)

zoe is the illegitimate daughter of bif's mother and a cook at the mansion, but was adopted by her mother who lives in blue skies

she grew up very close to edgar, so he welcomed her in his group of friends when she was expelled

she hated mandy with a passion, because of how fake she was. she was just in time to meet lola before getting expelled; she would've actually like to be her friend, but then she saw how lola got along with mandy and turned alll the way around

(she regrets having missed the fight that broke their friendship)

she got along with most of the girls actually, but there was no one she was actually able to connect with (alexa play girls by marina) nor was she interested in joining any clique

before she went away, galloway gave her a list of books she might have wanted to read, despite not being his student anymore. she read them all.

omar was a prankster back in high school

he ended up getting expelled for blowing up dr. watts' lunch, but he doesn't regret it one bit

he wasn't in any clique, but he was very popular and got along with pretty much everyone in the school

he wasn't a great student, but he really was there only to annoy people and have fun

he grew up next to edgar, despite not being his friend; they grew closer after omar was expelled and started hanging out with him

leon had a really hard time keeping up with the pace of assignments and the school life in general, but he was called lazy the whole time

he did have a special inclination towards music, but mrs. peters wasn't able to defend him on her own with the other teachers all the time

he was friends with omar when they were in school, so he knew exaclty where to go once he dropped out

jerry always liked to read and study, but somehow it never brought him far in school

one thing that the teachers would always say is that he was brilliant, but never got the notions right

he always felt that everything school tried to teach him, he could do it better by himself and there was obviously some issue of miscommunication

so he dropped out recently even; he wasn't in any clique though, as he still preferred to hang out, in his free time, with the other blue skies kids; he was especially friends with leon so he already knew that friend group

edgar attended the public school, but he had to drop out before his junior year started, so that he could work and bring money home after his father died

he regrets not being able to finish his education; he aspires to get back at it again, maybe one day whne he'll be in a better place economically

growing up he spent a lot of time wandering around the neighborhood, so he was able to assemble the townies through his friendship

they are really just a group of friends hanging out often, y'know; it's onyl with gary's intervention that they ended up into the rigid system of cliques next to the school ones

i could make a whole post about that era but

he was a greaser back in bullworth, and a high ranking one too (he was a junior when johnny was a freshman and took over the clique, plus good friends with the leader of the time)

he liked to hang out with the freshmen, introduce them to the school, always loved to make them feel included (he was the one to teach norton how to make piercings)

he thought johnny would've been a cool kid, if he didn't take himself too seriously

despite not being italian (he is of irish descents) he was the best at trump, scopa or any game involving neapolitan cards really, his only rival was ricky who grew up with his father coming from naples

hence the casino incident that got him expelled

Your writing is absolutely amazing, every scene got me gripping my seat in excitement. Seeing someone write a Pyro-focused long fic, let alone texas toast is so so so rare, I think I've only read 3 (including incendiary) that I've liked so far.

I love this little fire guy with all my heart, and I absolutely adore how you didn't make him too much like a child like how many mischaracterize him. There's the childlike wonder in him but he is capable when push comes to shove and I like that a lot! Every single characterizations in this fic is wonderful, I would love to give Engie a little kiss on his bald head.. he's so adorable.

I'm probably rambling but I just love this fic so much. I'm dealing with semester's midterms, stressed as all hell and this fic has been keeping me going. This is the most grandest, heartfelt comment I think I've ever received in my entire writing career and my heart is GUSHING rn!!!! I was literally out running errands when I saw this and I couldn't stop thinking about it -

When I joined the TF2 fandom in like... oh god, 2014 I think, I was really shocked to see throughout the years that there weren't many Pyro-centered stories out there, which blew my mind. Like how could there not be a deluge of fanfic for Pyro, who is this extremely mysterious, multi-faceted character with so much room for interpretation?! When I first watched Meet the Pyro, I KNEW I had to write a novel about Pyro. Who they are, where they came from, and what happened to them before the events of the gravel war. Massively inspired, of course. But still nonetheless, an origin story that could very well be canon if squinted at, hehe.

This rings true for texas toast content, too!! There isn't a whole lot of it out there and it makes me so sad - I love their dynamic so much! When Incendiary is finished, I do plan on writing some more texas toast oneshots on my AO3 to fill that void. <3 One of the plans is to write a short story about their relationship during the gravel wars as well, that takes place after the events of Incendiary. (plus, Incendiary has only just started to crack the surface tension of the slow burn, and it's only a matter of 1-2 chapters away from when the texas toast really starts showing through so there is that to look forward too as well. (｡˃ ᵕ ˂ ))

also I literally hollered when I read your comment about Pyro's characterization in this story especially, because THAT is THE ONE THING I have been working so incredibly hard towards holy shit - when I tell you the amount of stories I've read that writes them off as this danger-child that needs supervision - which don't get me wrong is not an entirely bad thing!! they do have this massive childlike side to them, but there is also so much more to them than how the fandom perceives them, not taking into much consideration how they typically canonically act in the comics/in-game, and taking into LARGE consideration Meet the Pyro. I was reeling when I realized that a lot of people seemed to completely forget about that interview. I could go on a whole rant about this sdfghjkl but yes, Pyro is definitely more than capable when push comes to shove! they are in a war, after all ;)

If your ocs were drinks what drinks would they be?

i have like 20-30 ocs and i can't assign all of them drinks so i'm just gonna do the excalibur main 5!

nova - probably one of those classic strawberry milkshakes! fun and sweet, but still familiar :D it also helps that strawberries (or at least the merlinete strawberry equivalent brawstberries) are her favourite fruit

paro - lemon water or lemonade! water is simple and essential, but the lemon gives it a unique spin that lets it stand out from the rest - not to mention that paro can be sour sometimes, but his sweetness overpowers that side of him :]

optico - a fruit smoothie! a big blend of flavors that come together to make one drink - just like optico's many forms! a healthy refresher too!

clyde - maybe one of those energy drinks like an original monster? the can might look dark and unfriendly, though it has a fun, bold flavor!

v-con - definitely something with alcohol and sweet things involved! like a beer ice cream float with sprinkles and donuts and stuff like that - high calorie, over-the-top, perfect for a party!

I actually really got into poetry a couple years ago so there’s lots that I love but I’m gonna say one of H.D’s poems called Fragment Sixty-Eight. There’s yearning and desire and mortality and ugh please just read it.

I just think her writing is so beautiful and like soul wrenching a bit, initially I was drawn to her stuff because she used a lot of Greek mythology references which I’ve always been interested in yeah just fell in love with her writing (Eurydice was the first poem of hers I read I highly recommend it too). She was also just a really cool person and she was bi too and yeah just very interesting

the image she was made to bear is that of a 20 year old woman,  and in a way,  perhaps one may have viewed that kind of life as  ‘ immortal ’.  but was it a life in the first place ?   and even then,  she is distantly aware that there is a limit to this time  ...  worrying about ladders and  ( the extremely unlikely chance )  of a growth spurt seemed silly to think of in hindsight.  one might say to make the most of it  —  such was the view most had with life in general  —  but hakuno doesn't really understand.
