*Takes you by the shoulders* I ADORE character profiles and character trivia and likes and dislikes sections. I love knowing this ruthless, heartless, cruel man of a character has a childish dislike for mandarin oranges. I believe in the inherent beauty of all characters, no matter the background or moral stance, being made fundamentally human by assigning them insignificant culinary preferences. I stand by the supremacy of humanizing villains by giving them relatable tastes and trivial interests and ordinary hobbies. I treasure the hidden reminders that everyone is inherently human even when everything else we know about a character might suggest the contrary.

"of course." she didn't mind. anything to help him sleep better. "diner food sounds good. but you're paying. i got last time." with that, violet could feel them falling back into their usual routine. and that was enough.

"You shouldn't ever feel embarrassed around me, honestly." He felt the need to say it, hoping that she could relax around him. It's all he wanted, for her to feel comfortable around him, safe. She deserved that much. "Good, I hope you'll never regret anything with me." There's a part of his brain that nags at him, trying to convince him that her words must be referring to something, but his heart pleaded with him not to take the risk of making a fool out of himself. Unfortunately, he wasn't ever known to be smart. "I can?" He asks in confirmation, a small smile tugging at his lips. He could live with the small offerings she gave him, Vi having no idea how much it truly meant to him. He didn't deserve such an act of kindness, but he wasn't about to pass it up. Even if he still lay awake all night, consumed by insomnia, simply laying beside her would make it worth it. "I'm sorta hungover," He groans, fully sitting up on the bed and stretching. "I think we both need some greasy diner food."
