P...progressive? The pope???? Are we sure about that one lmao. Like we're talking about the institution that has wages countless wars, ethnically cleansed my family, and remains a source of queerphobia, racism, and misogyny to this day. I mean the fucking Italian inquisition is still a thing today!

thing is many praise him for his stances against war and his show of support towards palestine which is cool! but 1. i consider this, the repudiation of war, something to be expected from the church and christianity since they love talking about peace, not something to praise them for. like wow! pope found despising the war, tell me something new and 2. a bad stance doesn't erase the good ones but same goes both ways. you can't call him "the last progressive figure" when he literally doesn't support lgbt people, saying abortion is a crime and the ones that do it are murders, and all the other bs he said
