Whoa buddy if you wanna talk about a rant. This got so long I'm putting it under a read more.

I'm not sure any of this is above board conscious thought process. When he looks to Orym, when he thinks about how he feels about Orym, I think Dorian, king of compartmentalizing, gets a rush of all three of the things in the post. He gets a little too lost in thought looking at the way Orym's hair now tries to curl against his ear or how well tailored the armor is to his body, he first gets hit with the Will guilt. Then he thinks about "ohmygodtheresawaron" and he'd shovel all of that down. Because its not time to think about Orym and him. But he knows by the way Orym watches him "sleep". He knows by the way Orym refused to be princess carried in Aeror. (Seriously dude Dorian princess carries everyone. It would have been less suspicious if you let it happen). He knows because Orym didn't see his husband when they were in Zephrah. But when he dares himself to actually think about a possible future together, he uses the big three to shove it down. And no, he has no clue that Orym thinks he doesn't return his feelings. (Wow you're right. Pronouns are hard)

Lol to finally answer your question: I'm not sure! Because the thing is! Orym has gone down twice in a battle with Dorian there! And honestly if Orym being on death's door doesn't make either of them confess, i'm not sure what will! (thats a lie I do have an idea). But like Orym went to the moon and back and almost died on the moon and all the count communicate to Dorian was "I miss you"!! Orym nearly died twice in one battle and he didn't think to give Dorian a sloppy, "If I die again I want to have kissed you once" kiss before going in for another round of getting hacked on. Dorian watched him go down and had to bring him back from death's door (one failed save scared the shit out of me) and he didn't think to give Orym a "We need you, I need you" kiss.

My unfortunate thought process, which I can't decide if I want it to come true or not, is that Dorian has to get hurt. Like when I say hurt I fucking mean it. Taken down in a round or two, two failed death saves, hurt. Because then Orym will have to face losing Dorian again. Face losing the man he loves, again. He pours a healing potion into Dorian's mouth because warlocks don't have a single healing spell. (Just checked). Orym feels so helpless in saving Dorian, because a healing potion isn't nearly enough to keep him up. He starts to cry over Dorian's (now conscious) body. He whispers between sobs "Not again, not again. Dorian you can't leave me. I love you, please, I never got to tell you, please stay alive." and Dorian, having heard all of that, reaches up to cup Orym's cheek and says. "Alright, just for you though."

Or something like that.

As much as I would love for them to be adults and just talk to each other. I know thats not going to happen. (Please, Robbie, Liam, prove me wrong.) So I think major tragedy will be the reason they confess to each other. Because they're idiots in love with a lot of weight on their shoulders.

Okay wait so we all know the Bruce dating Batman bit- but say his kids follow in his footsteps. Its a horrible cover, but they're all idiots so whatever. Dick openly flirts with Nightwing on camera, and when he’s Nightwing he’ll purposefully wink and blow a kiss at Dick. Jason was caught with a Red Hood helmet one time and because he was blushing so furiously at getting caught everyone was like ‘awww hes dating Red Hood!!!’ and everyone was like ‘wow theyre so paradoxical- jason is a lil bean and Red Hood is a demon’ and after a bit jason staged a kidnapping and then saved himself and the fans went wild. Steph is openly in a polyamourous relationship with both spoiler and Orphan- cass is dating Spoiler and everyone wants to know if she knows that her lover is cheating on her with Stephanie Brown and Orphan but everyone is too afraid to ask, Tim is dating both Red Hood and Nightwing and Red Robin at one time because Jason is the one who saves him from getting kidnapped the most, Dick choses to bond with him while in the suit and one time damian couldn't find his suit so he wore Tim’s and everyone now just thinks Tim is the Batfamily’s whore pretty much, Damian is dating robin and this has never been like proven or even seen but everyone in Gotham just decided that naturally the youngest wayne has to date the youngest bat- and in order to inflame the rumors- and as payback for when damian wore his suit- tim sometimes will dress in his old robin outfit and scoop damian into his arms at galas or something. Babs is obviously dating Oracle, she could have kept it perfectly hidden she is the batfams only braincell, but she chose to let it get caught on camera that she was texting herself cute things and so everyone knows barbara gordon is dating oracle now. Theyre all a bunch of morons and the only reason they havent been found out yet is because all of Gotham is a simp for the Bats and the Waynes dating and if anyone ever says anything online about the Waynes being the Bats someone will comment ‘no cause literally if its fake ill never believe in love’ and stuff like that so miraculously its still a thing but everyone's favorite couple is still Batman and Bruce Wayne. (in part because its who they get the most coverage on because all of Bruce’s kids love fucking with him and dressing in the suit to come save him, even alfred does it sometimes, and they got Selina a batman suit too so there was once a front page cover photo of Batman kissing Bruce Wayne in public in front of almost everyone at a Gala so yeah its confirmed)

Could you ramble about Ellis? I need to understand them

oh. oh boy you dont know what youve asked

okay so ellis is a side character in ggy, probably made to follow the format of protagonists in fnaf books having a kid they dont like

he's been tony's best friend since they were 4, and they were neighbours when tony's dad was around (headcanon interjection: i think tony's dad bought them a treehouse and they always played in it together and just chilled there)

tony says he wants to move away from ellis because he's deemed as 'childish', like for example, choosing his nom de plume as Boots because its a character he likes

this is probably because of meeting both greg and his father being arrested, making him feel like he needs to be more mature so he doesnt want to associate with ellis anymore

but despite all he says about him he still deems him his 'best friend' and i think that says a lot - afterall, they were best friends for 8 years, so they have to have something there - tony is reluctant to leave him even if he doesnt want to admit it because theyre so close

ellis himself, there isnt a lot about him unfortunately in the book, but what we do know is that he's impatient, 'childish', oblivious and prefers fiction (this is all from tony's pov and he's an unreliable narrator so keep in mind we dont have the full picture)

tony sees him as kinda social but i personally think he isn't, he struggles to make friends other than tony and that's why it's only been the two of them for ages

a lot of people deem him the dumb one of the group and my take on that is that he leans into that role because a. its whats expected of him and b. that way its easier to observe people because they're less cautious of him, he probably notices a lot more than people think he does

he's quite kind but also has his flaws - he doesn't quite notice how hurt tony is about changing the story unfortunately and he teases quite a lot to the point it could be unintentionally hurtful

i think because of this, after tony goes missing he'd definitely blame himself and have survivors guilt, and also probably bad anxiety, maybe even agoraphobia

he probably would be lured into the pizzaplex under the guise that tony is there because he'd definitely go out to find him

i have a lot of headcanons but ill put those in the tags because those arent actually canon

one thing that is canon though is that he likes physical affection!!! he wraps his arm around tony or greg several times if i remember correctly
