omg yes he only starts picking up cigs to mask his scent cuz it was very hard to get his hands on scent blockers/suppressants when he was younger

no sensible doctor would ever prescribe suppressants to someone so young, it would destroy your body, make u more prone to infertility etc etc but sanji doesn’t care and a part of him wants it, he wants to oversee the destruction of his own body because his body was the last, and only, thing judge ever gave to him

so he picks up smoking, uncaring that it blackens his lungs, and he takes suppressants every day, uncaring that it denatures his organs

he takes pride in his own self-destruction, for him, it’s the only form of control he knows, being in control of his own suffering, relieved that it’s of his own doing instead of at the hands of his brothers

sorry im inserting so much sanji angst into this 😭 but i love sanji angst and turmoil so much in zosan fics cuz it makes their dynamic even sweeter

zoro, unflinching and unyielding, for him loving sanji is as easy as breathing and it quite literally shakes sanjis entire world cuz unconditional love in unfathomable to him

sanji lives to be needed, he NEEDS to be needed, used, but zoro doesnt need him, no, zoro WANTS him and thats something sanji has to grapple with, being wanted

still deciding whether i should take the more light-hearted approach or the heavy angst approach, i feel like i wont be able to execute a super heavy sanji angst fic so feel free to take these ideas and run with them! 😁

imagine zosan doing a reality tv show like We got Married!

sanjis a celebrity chef and zoros a popular stuntman but their careers are on the brink of irrelevancy so they’re agents sign them up for a reality tv show where they have to live as a couple for a few weeks

sanjis pissed and zoros like idgaf so when they meet, sparks fly (literally, they start fighting) and the camera crew catches it all and when the first episode goes live, its sends the nation into a FRENZY

they want more of zosan and they want it NOW

the fans love their fiery dynamic and they can see that theres just something abt zosan thats different

so everyone jumps at the chance to capitalize on the sudden popularity, but sanjis like wtf and zoros just along for the ride

they get forced into more couply situations and sanji has to grapple with the fact that zoro is actually a VERY good partner and they’re actually very compatible???

ofc sanji does what sanji does and he starts self sabotaging and theres a lot of pressure from everyone to put on a good show but his feeling are VERY real so he panics

my brain is going haywire rn i have so many ideas floating around in my skull

omega sanji whos been belittled his entire life because of his identity and then being raised by zeff, an alpha pirate, so sanji adopts alpha mannerisms in order to fit in (and to appease zeff because he doesn’t want to cause anymore trouble and he’s so so scared of zeff getting tired of his shit and abandoning him so he pretends to be a beta)

zeff finds him when he has his first heat and is shocked and sanji of course has a breakdown and begs him not to throw him away. zeff does not know what to do cuz wtf does anyone do in that situation so he calms the little eggplant down and pretends like the heat never happened and that sanjis still a beta

the old man’s doing his best, bless his heart, but he doesn’t know much about omegas much less raising them so sanji eventually figures things out as he goes by himself

yapping a lot but basically sanji hides his identity as an omega and lives as a beta, putting himself on suppressants year-round, wearing scent blockers and scrubbing his glands till they’re basically raw

zoro, on the other hand, does not gaf about being an omega. he doesnt try to hide, hes not ashamed, sometimes he walks on deck in the middle if pre-heat cuz he doesn’t care and trusts his crew (and on the off chance of SOMETHING happening, he can kick their ass)

sanji sees this and is overcome with envy and anger. maybe thats why they start fighting in the first place.

sanji projecting his feelings of inadequacy and insecurity onto zoro and zoro thinking that sanji’s looking down on him for being an omega so lots and lost of miscommunication (on par for the course for zosan tbh)

OR

we can go the more light-hearted route with them

sanji sees zoro and is like “wtf u dont look like an omega” and zoros like “bitch look at yourself” and they start fighting and that fighting eventually dissolves into lots of pining and emotions

omg yes zoro being hyper independent because he needed to be to survive and sanji being very traditional in his values (alphas must be strong and protective, omegas must be sweet and docile) and then when he meets zoro that image completely shatters OR it can be sanji being very insecure about being an alpha cuz he doesn’t have many good memories associated with alphas (germa)

i love traditional and untraditional abo dynamics im such a sucker for omega/omega its tragic that there’s not many o/o fics!! maybe i should do one but ahhh theres too many options
