I'm so obsessed with Zosan. Let me explain. Single Ladies was playing at work earlier today, and my brain is SO deep into Zosan that a scene flashed through my mind: Sanji proposing to Zoro. Zoro's face turns red, and he storms off, looking mad. Sanji just shrugs, thinking, "Meh, he'll come back" (because, of course, he knows his stupid swordsman).

But then Sanji tells his girlies about it, and since they're on land, they decide to go out partying. (And for the sake of this post, let's say the song exists in the One Piece world—maybe it's a Soul King hit or something, who knows.) The whole crew tags along, and Sanji starts letting loose. He doesn’t really flirt back with anyone, but he also doesn’t stop the attention he’s getting.

Then that song starts playing, and as Sanji dances with Nami and Robin, he locks eyes with Zoro. A girl gets a little too close to Sanji, and that’s the breaking point for Zoro. He storms across the room, not caring who he bumps into, grabs Sanji's hand, and shoves a ring onto his finger.

Sanji just stares at him, completely stunned, as Zoro pulls him close and takes a deep kiss.

"You bastard. I was gonna fucking propose, but you beat me to it," Zoro growls in his ear, before stomping back to his seat.

Sanji’s face is burning red, but he’s got that big, idiotic smile on his face.

Sanji’s alcohol level is not as high as Zoro’s. He sneaks into Zoro’s bed thinking it’s his. When Sanji woke up with a hangover, Zoro was already on the deck back to his usual swords training. They never spoke about this moment, but Zoro had never forgotten because he discovered something that night and it kept waking him up randomly ever since 💚💛🤫

Notes

Zoro

- Soft features, makes him look a bit baby faced

- dark skin, many scars

- lots of creases in his brow from frowning, and dimples

- if his hair was long, it would be slick and straight

- wide nose with a slight hook to it

- wide and strong body, little to no hair

- sharp eyes that always look tired

Sanji

- angular, heavy upper eyelids and sad looking eyes

- sometimes his sharp cheek bones can make him look malnourished--kind of stayed that way after his childhood

- very few scars, all small and faded

- tattooed number 3 on his right shoulder blade

- wavy hair and strong, thin nose

- many small freckles and moles from the sun

- lean and slender body, lots of hair

- trans scars (depends)

Scars

Sanji

- Sanji's skin hardly ever scars due to his Germa genes. When he does scar, it's usually from a severe injury of some kind.

- There's a tiny scar on the small of his back from where he broke his back on Drum island, small scars on his wrists from a combination of his childhood and Whole Cake Island, faint burn scars on his feet from using Diable Jambe, and a well hidden scar on his forehead that hides in his hairline from the iron mask he wore when he was young. Sanji hasn't ever really spoken about his scars to anyone, and he isn't sure he'll be able to for some of them. If asked though, he might offer a little bit of insight.

Zoro

- Zoro has plenty of scars. Whether it be significant like his chest scar or eye scar, or as insignificant as faint scars on his hands from training, Zoro views each one as a promise to get stronger.

- There's obviously the scar on his chest from his duel with Mihawk, though that one isn't the only one of its kind. Zoro gained a few more from that specific duel on his chest, though they weren't nearly as bad as the big one. The scar over his eye is something he will never elaborate on, though if you ask Perona she will say he fell down the stairs and his sword caught him in the eye. He has plenty of scars on his arms and hands from training, and two rather nasty ones on his shins from where he tried to cut his legs off to escape Mr.3's wax trap.

Pride and Prejudice AU! Zosan

Zoro never cared for bath time… until bath time meant getting his head massaged by a certain cook’s masterful hands.

The first time it was done out of annoyance and an attempt to show the marimo how to wash his hair properly, but that effort seemed to go to waste considering that Sanji washes his mossy hair every time now.

Somewhere along the line it became a ritual; Zoro sits in the bath and Sanji settles in behind him and gets to work. Zoro actively looks forward to it at this point. Sanji swears Zoro acts more relaxed these days. Not that he has any complaints about it, it’s actually quite nice. It also means that Zoro bathes more often, thank god.

It started as hair washing, but eventually Sanji finds himself gently rubbing the mosshead’s temples and massaging circles into the back of his neck. He knows very well the importance of muscle care, especially with the flexibility required for his own combat style. He trusts that Zoro has his own regimen, but he figures it couldn’t hurt.

For Zoro’s part, the simple action means more to him than the curlybrow probably realizes. As a silent thank you, he stays after dinner each night and helps the cook wash the dishes. And Sanji understands. Because they know each other better than anyone, so they don’t need words.

Everyone knows how gentle zoro is with kids and small animals, so when a devil fruit user hits sanji and turns him into a kid it comes as no surprise that zoro makes it his mission to keep him happy and safe

Zoro sees how wary sanji is of his swords, so he keeps them out of his sight

He sees how sanji's always taking peeks at the galley, so he picks him up and takes him into the kitchen, leaning over the counters so sanji can observe all the appliances with shining eyes

He carries sanji around the market on the next town they dock at, listening to the little blond blabbering about all sorts of ingredients he wants to see and possibly buy?

Sanji looks at zoro with big, pleading eyes when he asks that and it's not like zoro was planning to say no, but now it's downright impossible for him to deny the kid anything

At night, sanji shyly climbs up zoro's bed and zoro suppresses a smile as he pulls him closer and tucks him against his side, covering the both of them with a blanket

Hours later, in the middle of the night, sanji wakes up in a cold sweat, shaken up by a nightmare, and zoro wraps him in his arms more tightly, runs a gentle hand over his back, and sanji goes back to sleep almost instantly

When sanji returns to normal they don't talk about it, but if sanji's blushing face as he steals glances at zoro and zoro's soft smile in response are any indication, they know their relationship has changed, and changed for the better

body swap zosan

zoro:

he notices that he has no balance what so ever, he’s used to a heavier body built on muscle

his vision feels normal though, sanji has had his bangs cover one of his eyes forever so it’s not unlike when he lost his own eye

he can distinctly feel too much, he feels how the dust and dirt sticks to him in a way he can’t shake, faint crawling of ghost bugs on his body and he takes more showers then he likes to admit

when he wakes up if he doesn’t eat right away he gets sick- a repercussion to sanji s starvation

strangely when he picks up a sword when sanji isn’t looking it feels familiar- not like his intense muscle memory but that sanji knows how to use a sword above any class beginner

he cant not keep still, if he stays still too long he can feel the phantom aches in his body, the overstimulation of dirt

he ends up overextending by accident a lot, it’s funny at first because how flexible he is- but he’s not used to having to control the small joints so not to hurt himself (que him dislocating something because no, your body can’t just stretch like that unless you do it properly)

he notices he has a small appetite but if he doesn’t eat when needed he will get sick very quickly (ah that’s why sanji always makes excuses to have snacks for the ladies and everyone)

he gets trapped once, it’s nothing unlike he’s used to. but the walls, the tight space, this body knows this feeling and it just gives out on him

when he gets ready for bed he is always baffled why sanji sleeps with his shoes on. little did he know how nasty and brutal sanjis feet ended up (ballet feet)

why can’t he turn off his observation haki?

constant need to feel physical touch but also being repulsed by it when it happens

turns out the cook does in fact just have constant nose bleeds and if he gets too emotional or riled up it just happens. this is a awkward moment when some lady tells the crew her husband just dies and zoros nose starts bleeding

sanji:

he cant see his toes (tiddies too big)

his spacial awareness is terrible he keeps bumping into things

he has intense head splitting migranes that only a nap could help (hmmm thriller bark…) and maybe a drink

a need to work out, to sweat out toxins from his body

accidentally breaks too many things since it’s just sheer force of strength

he gets cramps way too much and can barely do a simple stretch

in battle he can’t help but notice the slight increase in heartbeat- he thinks originally it’s just cuz of adrenaline but he knows that feeling. and this one is fear, every battle no matter how strong he is in this body feels fear every moment- not for himself but those around him

he has to check on everyone no matter what- it’s weird because he does that too but this is more of a subtle pull to do it, a slow meditation of going through each member to make sure they are ok

always being touched by luffy and others to be buddy buddy, he doesn’t have much to cover him and the warmth is unlike something he’s felt in so long (usually one to cover up because he can just feel too much)

he is still a great chef but only in food prep. his hands are too clumsy for much else, and his body is bigger when trying to move in the kitchen

on top of cramps, he keeps pulling muscles (seriously does he never stretch this body?)

he also gets tired quicker- endurance isn’t as lasting when this body focuses on attacks that count on brute force

he cant feel his torso, turns out mihawk really made sure zoro remember by cutting off the nerves

Saw this workout video from ‘zubalenok’ on insta and immediately thought of Sanji being flexible.

Maybe it’s a normal day, the two are fighting like they always do when Zoro decides to push and say something about how his legs/kicks aren’t even that powerful, and how Sanji’s not flexible enough or powerful enough to pull off something that will really damage anything. Maybe Zoro will go as far as to say ‘you don’t even work out, none of us see you do ANYTHING besides cook and dawn over any woman you see. Your skills are all luck and don’t require any REAL training’.

Sanji obviously takes offense to this, and decides the next day to show Zoro in broad daylight just what he can do, and starts to workout. He does his stretches, his handstands, yoga, flexibility training before he decides to do some INSTENSE workouts on his legs. He’s at it for a few hours before he starts to add WEIGHTS. He’s hell bent on ignoring the mosshead before he looks over and sees the green haired man staring at him, wide-eyed and slack-jawed.

Sanji knows there’s some tension between them, there has been for a while, so he decides for his last round of flexibility and strength training, he’s going to do a specific workout he knows will get Zoros attention. (he doesn’t usually do it, mainly because if done wrong he can pull something and be out of order for a while, but he knows it looks sexy as hell and he’s done waiting for the damned marimo to make a move himself). So he walks over to Zoro’s weights and picks up two 45lb kettlebells, sets himself up, and starts to rep THIS, all while staring right at the one eyed idiot.

Maybe for the first time in his LIFE Zoro gets a nosebleed just from looking at someone. (Maybe some of the crew sees him workout too and they also realize for the first time ‘oh hey, Sanji might actually be REALLY hot’)
