Would Sanji be the type for a affaire or a one night stand? 🙄

This weekend, I needed a little pick me up. I have spent the vast majority rereading the manga, and I forgot how good Whole Cake Island is!!!!! So I thought it was the perfect time to answer this!

Honestly... I don't think he would do either. Sanji is someone deeply respectful and romantic toward women. Yes, I know he is a bit of a perv at time, but it comes from the need to be loved. While he has a flirtatious nature and openly admires beautiful women, his character tends to value meaningful connections over casual encounters. For example, when Sanji meets Pudding in Whole Cake Island, he is utterly charmed by her and even willing to marry her, despite knowing it could be a political trap. His readiness to embrace love so wholeheartedly highlights his desire for something meaningful rather than superficial.

Sanji is more the type who dreams of love and romance rather than pursuing one-night stands or affairs. His obsession often reflects a chivalrous devotion, even bordering on romantic idealism, that he would prefer a genuine, heartfelt relationship rather than something fleeting or superficial. This is especially evident in his interactions with Nami and Robin, where his protective instincts go beyond mere attraction; he risks his life for them repeatedly, such as shielding Nami from Enel's lightning attack or fighting Jabra to save Robin during Enies Lobby. While he is undeniably a pervert, like when he fights for the chance to bathe with Nami or swoons over mermaids on Fish-Man Island, his antics stem from a desperate longing for love and validation rather than casual lust.

That said, his over-the-top admiration for women might make him vulnerable to missteps; someone could seduce him and take advantage of him while he is all loved up and besotted. For instance, during the Whole Cake Island arc, Pudding manipulates Sanji’s feelings by acting sweet and vulnerable, and Sanji falls for her act without hesitation, believing in her goodness because of his idealistic view of women. However, even when heartbroken by her betrayal, Sanji continues to show her kindness and refuses to hate her.

Any one-night stand would leave Sanji feeling hollow and empty and make him depressed. His emotional depth is clear when Zeff instills in him the value of food and life, as well as the importance of respecting others. Sanji’s romantic ideals align with this deeper respect—casual flings would contradict the earnest devotion he wants to give to someone he loves.

Under no circumstances would Sanji cheat or help someone cheat; he would rather take a bullet than do that—it goes against his very being. When Black Maria tries to seduce him during the Wano arc, Sanji refuses to betray his friends or his moral code, even when faced with physical torture. His actions reflect an unshakable loyalty and respect, proving he would never cross the line of betrayal, no matter how tempted or pressured he might be. Sanji aren't no cheaters, loyal to the end!
