One crack ship I still really like is Reed and Haley from Dust An Elysian Tail. They aren't canon in the slightest but I love how their personalities would mesh! Here I recreated a "just married" piece I did back in 2018!

There are a few things I changed from the original. 1. Haley being a blacksmith would absolutely be the type to wear a paint suit rather than a gown. Plus in the 2018 piece I only put her in a gown cuz I really hated drawing legs. And 2. I absolutely switched up on the posing as the first one looks so incredibly stiff...

Title: Rescue on Flickies’ Island

Summary: Sonic the Hedgehog and his loyal sidekick, Miles “Tails” Prower, are enjoying a rare moment of peace when a distress signal interrupts their downtime. A Flicky—one of their tiny, feathered friends from Flickies’ Island—has been kidnapped! The culprit? None other than the high-flying menace, Battle Kukku XVI, known to most as Speedy. With jet engines roaring and hearts pounding, Sonic and Tails rush to save their friend before Speedy vanishes into the skies with his feathery hostage.

Story Beats:

Peaceful Start: Sonic and Tails are relaxing by a beach on West Side Island. Tails is working on a new upgrade for the Tornado, while Sonic lounges under a palm tree.

Distress Call: A tiny Flicky crashes into the sand, panting and flapping wildly. Through frantic chirps and gestures, it relays the message: one of their own has been kidnapped by Speedy, and he's heading toward the volcanic peaks of Flickies’ Island.

High Stakes: Tails instantly launches the Tornado, with Sonic riding on the wings. Time is ticking—Speedy's airship is fast, and he's not one to leave trails behind. They’ll have to fly fast and think faster.

Island Showdown: Reaching Flickies’ Island, they find it surrounded by robotic bird sentries and booby traps. Sonic blazes through the jungle while Tails takes to the skies to disable aerial defenses.

Speedy’s Trap: At the island’s volcanic summit, they face off with Speedy. The kidnapped Flicky is held in a force-field cage atop a precarious ledge. Speedy taunts them, triggering a countdown to detonate the volcano unless they back off.

Race Against Time: Sonic and Tails split up—Sonic charges toward Speedy while Tails hacks the countdown mechanism. It’s a wild battle: spinning, flying, dodging lava bursts.

Victory and Escape: Just in time, Tails disables the bomb while Sonic knocks Speedy off his jetboard. The villain escapes with a smoke bomb and a promise of revenge. The duo saves the Flicky and flies off just as the volcano lets off steam (literally and figuratively).

Peace Restored: Back at the beach, the rescued Flicky sings a cheerful tune. Sonic grins, saying, “Guess even chill days come with a bit of heat,” while Tails tweaks his goggles and says, “Just another day in the life, huh?”

what i mean by scale edges being too sharp. they look somehow more flat and 1d than the old scales because the trimming is so strange. but also hey look actual teeth....:D
