And all his coworkers laugh in his face and call him chickenshit and loudly talk over him about how they're going to restructure the budget to put 300% of their spending into torture and unethical science. And to cope with the unending guilt of failing the city he loves, he goes and designs a fursona of a little kitty boy who's always chipper and friendly and helps people. Then borrows company assets to build himself a fursuit and LARP as him. 10/10 no notes.

The "Mako slowly changes the color of your eyes" thing is really really cool, but in practice can be pretty hard to spot. Most of the SOLDIERS we interact with start out having blue eyes, and the faint ring of green around the pupil can be pretty hard to pick out, not to mention straight up lost in the blue color.
