Now, I don't even remember listening to this song a lot despite it being #25. If I'm honest with you, I don't actually like this song very much. This must have been listened by a different person other than me, which is wild when looking at your top 100 songs amidst all of my headmates.

Picture if you will, a Shen Yuan who upon entering the world of PIDW, decides he must focus on his martial skills to train Binghe to better survive the abyss. No cultivation, no qi, pure fists. He absolutely hates it at first but his adorable disciples say he looks cool and the praise is going to his head. When the Bai Zhan kids come looking for trouble, he fucking suplexes one.

When it comes time for seclusion in the caves, he handily subdues and and helps a deviating Liu Qingge. LQG doesn’t remember the fight after the fact, and does not believe that SQQ of all people could beat him hand to hand, regardless of what the gossip on the peaks is. He challenges SQQ to a spar- no weapons, no time limit, no mercy.

The peaks are freaking out. The war god vs Qing Jing’s brawler? SQQ has never beaten LQG in the past but he’s so different now, who knows what will happen!

A crowd gathers around the training field. SQQ and LQG stand in the middle of it, dressed down for a fight. When the bout begins, it’s hard to make either man’s movements- both are going too fast to see! As the fighters begin to slow, the moves becoming clearer… that can’t be right… SQQ is pushing the war god back?!

LQG can’t believe it. Not only is SQQ not resorting to tricks, he also keeps flashing this stunning sincere smile which MUST be some sort of special technique.

A combination grin and sweep to the leg and the war god goes down! SQQ is straddling him, forearm against his neck, panting hard. LQG is tomatoe red- definitely from the exertion and NOTHING ELSE.

The crowd erupts- some cheering, most shouting in confusion. SQQ gets up, offering LQG and hand and clapping him on the shoulder. ‘Nice fight!’ He says, as true as the sun rises in the east with his eyes in happy crescents, sweat on his brow, pink dusting his cheeks.

LQG qi deviates right there on the field.

Airplane is apparently a homophone for “flying chicken” in Mandarin. I’ve seen plenty of fanfics that have made it a joke that someone over hears Shen Qingqiu cursing flying chicken’s under his breath all the time. But where are the fics where Shen Qingqiu accidentally convinces everyone that the creator god of the univers is a chicken??

SV No Abyss Fluff "Feral Binghe" AU where Shen Qingqiu manages to get around having to throw Luo Binghe into the Abyss, but unfortunately this means he has to get him away from Jue Di Gorge before anyone else catches them, while Luo Binghe is steadily losing more and more control over his behavior. In PIDW, this stage of Luo Binghe's seal breaking was handled by virtue of him being in the Abyss, and just killing every single thing that crossed his path until the feral trance broke and his mind cleared up again. It was barely noticeable as a thing that happened, because being in the Abyss meant he was pretty much on a 24/7 killing spree regardless of his frame of mind.

But without the Abyss to field Luo Binghe's bloodlust, Shen Qingqiu's got to keep him relatively calm and distracted while hauling his ass out of a demon-infested gorge also full of potentially hostile cultivators, get him back to Qing Jing Peak, and then keep him under control until he can calm down enough to regain his faculties.

A task that should have been impossible, frankly, except that for some "mysterious" reason, Luo Binghe will still listen (somewhat) to Shen Qingqiu even while he's out of his mind? At least he will come back if Shen Qingqiu calls him, and he doesn't seem inclined to wander very far away either, and he seems to recollect Without-a-Cure on some level and fusses over Shen Qingqiu's flare-ups. Though in this case, the 'fussing' involves a lot more cuddling than Shen Qingqiu is accustomed to.

However, Feral Demon Binghe doesn't seem to be very good at differentiating friend-from-foe in basically any other case. The good news is, in this AU Binghe has a demonic form that makes him pretty much unrecognizable to anyone who didn't already see his transformation (a group comprised solely of Shen Qingqiu, Mobei Jun, and Shang Qinghua), the bad news is that Shen Qingqiu has to stop him from killing his own future wives multiple times (he even attacks Liu Mingyan!) and all the Cang Qiong attendees think that Shen Qingqiu has been kidnapped by some kind of rampaging demon beast.

As far as speculation goes for what actually happened in the Ling Xi Caves in the PIDW-verse, one of the more well known theories is that the scene where Liu Qingge stabs himself in Shen Yuan's dreamscape IS the PIDW canon. And he did this in a moment of clarity while deviating so he could stop himself from killing Shen Jiu.

SO-

If we're running with this, doesn't that mean that not one, but TWO peak lords died for Shen Jiu? Died trying to save him?

No wonder Shen Jiu was absolutely devastated when he saw Yue Qingyuan's broken sword and after whatever happened in the Ling Xi Caves. Even Shang Qinghua said that Shen Jiu would "abandon himself to despair", and that he'll never be free of it for the rest of his life.

Looks like Luo Bingge isn't the only one from PIDW with a harem, he totally gets it from his shizun shdgjhs

DC confirms that the bat cave is just part of a really huge cave system, and that’s just how Batman gets around without people seeing him. Some people question how nobody else has discovered the batcave if this is true, but it /is/ Gotham - there’s a man eating pseudo crocodile and a zombie in the sewers. Would you risk it?

I was thinking about which character in scum villain makes me the saddest last night, and I think it's Liu Qingge.

This guy wasn't even supposed to be in the story past the very beginning. Everything past him getting saved by Shen Qingqiu is literally unknown territory when it comes to him and how he ends up.

He fought Luo Binghe for FIVE years trying to get Shen Qingqiu's body back.

He went into seclusion after Luo Binghe kidnapped Shen Qingqiu from the sect, just so he could get stronger and rescue Shen Qingqiu.

He even pulled Binghe out of the Luo river when He pulled Shen Qingqiu out because he knew how devastated SQQ would be if Binghe didn't make it out.

The succubi cave extra makes me especially sad for LQG. He for sure thought Shen Qingqiu was his soul mate and that Madam Meyin was lying to them.

I don't care if hes canonically supposed to be straight. LiuShen's relationship was not all platonic on Liu Qingge's side, and the only other person going as crazy over SQQ is Luo Binghe.

i always hate when people say thag the uchihas are more sensitive because theyre predisposed to mental illness as if theyre dramatic or respond disjointedly from their circumstances. im inclined to say theyre some of the only characters who behave believably in accordance with their trauma. like sasuke was literally psychologically tortured when he was 13. do we think thats gonna turn someone into a football loving go getter? they use characters whose trauma barely gets shown as a standard when its not that the uchiha are dramatic but that naruto just doesnt get much focus on the trauma that he should undeniably have.
