I could be barking up the wrong tree here, but I think a lot of the appeal of hypnosis or brainwashing to the point of temporary or permanent ego death is in being desired. Its the fantasy of someone looking at you - looking at your body - and wanting it so badly that they're willing to discard everything that makes you, you to get it.

They brainwash you, wipe your mind, replace your personality, and what they have is a perfect sex object - and it looks like you.

I think there's also an element of exhaustion to it - it's fucking hard wanting and trying to be attractive. For tgirls especially, I think its such an incredible relief to take the backseat in your own head - rest easy with the confidence that your new personality will take care of it all. You WILL meet your mistress' expectation because that's the sum of your existence now. You know for sure that you're enough. You can't not be.
