Also this can be Interpreted as Cross being different / on the spectrum since this drawing was not only inspired by I Saw The TV Glow, but also by the movie’s theme music “Athens for a 17 years old girl”, the music talks about not fitting in with other people, being different from others.

Am I having a Grillby problem/obsession? .... Mayhaps...

I saw a crop top jacket and got inspired to make a design that also had one. Then when I were done with the base and outfit, I just had the face and hair left and were like "Fu*k it, let's make it a Grillby".

What is his purpose in the multiverse? I have no idea! He looks adventurous, so maybe he just hops from AU to AU and explores cause he has no home? Ink was a bit of inspiration as I wanted to treat other Undertale characters like we treat Sans, so maybe he should have a creative gimmick like Ink?:

Og Grillby is a bartender and is made of fire... So why not go the "Burnice from ZZZ" route where she uses alcoholic beverages to boost her flamethrower's flames? (She just so happens to also be a bartender, lol). So his AU hopping and exploring could also be to find the best beverages to boost his flames/power and maybe review them while he's at it (he can't get drunk cause he literally burns the alcohol, so he's not an alcoholic, in that way at least...). So why does he need to boost his flames as Grillby is usually just a chill dude and I'm thinking about making this guy a pacifist?; Maybe he have seen the horrors/dangers the multiverse could bring? And who doesn't like being strong even if it's not needed (body builders for example)??? The stronger drinks could be for defending himself while the weaker ones, that taste the best, could kinda be like energy drinks and/or Ink's paints, making him more alive?

Idk... I'm probably thinking too hard into this 😅
