Eldritch Steve

Part 11

Eddie stared at Wayne, Wayne stared back, for several long moments neither one blinked but Eddie was human and so eventually he had to.

"Arg, remind me not to get into staring contests with Eldritch beings!" Eddie yelled as he rubbed his watery eyes.

"You never once won a staring contest with me boy, no reason to start now." Wayne said with a shrug, "You want coffee, Steve?"

"You're not mad at me for telling Eddie?" Steve asked, nervously.

"Surprised it took so long." Wayne handed Steve a mug, all of them had been replaced with the new two bedroom trailer.

Steve also knew that several soldiers had gone missing when they insulted Eddie in Wayne's presence, Steve had claimed he'd overheard them talking so he'd eaten them, which had the confronting soldiers cringing back and Owens blanching and making a quick escape.

"It wasn't my secret to tell, but he needs to know what being Mated to one of us means." Steve said, holding his mug in both hands.

"He is right here." Eddie reinserted himself into the conversation, "And I know what I'm getting into, Steve told me about spawning."

Wayne looked at Eddie and then at Steve, "How much did you tell him about spawning?"

Steve blushed, "As much as I know."

Wayne stared at him and then sighed, "Settle in, the both of you, we've got a long night ahead."

Because Wayne knew just how much about Spawning Steve knew or more exactly how little he knew. Spawning alone was different than Spawning with a Mate, and with the species difference, well, there were reasons that Wayne had yet to Spawn himself, and it wasn't just Eddie appearing on his doorstep.

As Eddie's adult he had a duty to prepare him, as the last Adult of his kind he had a duty to Steve too.

For all that Steve had killed their race he was, in fact, still considered a child of their race, not much older than those kids he'd claimed as his, if Wayne wasn't slightly afraid of Steve killing him like he'd killed all the others, he'd forbid them to even think of Spawning, but Steve was dangerous, though he did not appear so and Wayne doubted Eddie's affection for him would protect him for long if he stood in Steve's way.

So, Wayne would prepare them.

Because Spawn only appeared as eggs when one parent was involved, the embryo forming inside the parent and forming the protective shell on it's journey to the outside world.

Spawn that had two parent were born live and hungry, if Steve and Eddie Spawned they would need meat, raw and the fresher the better, ready for when their babies clawed their way into the world.

Eddie would have to distract them with the meat so Steve could heal, otherwise they might feast on his flesh, they ate their own for strength, afterall.

And Wayne would not be allowed near once Steve was expecting, Steve's instincts would see him as a threat to him and the eventual young, and Wayne couldn't say he wouldn't be tempted to eat the possibly runts, it wouldn't be the first time he'd eaten the newly born, he'd eaten several of his Spawnmates when he'd clawed his way out of his birth parent and his secondary parent hadn't been quick enough to fill his belly.

Wayne didn't remember Steve's Spawning parents, it was likely they'd abandoned him early on, expecting him to die quickly, some Spawning parents would eat their defective ones but others felt the need to let the other creatures have a taste of them. It was a testament to Steve's strength that he'd survived so long on his own.

Their race wasn't kind, not even to their young.

But maybe, Wayne thought as he looked at a waiting Steve and a trying to escape Eddie, he could change that, or at least Steve and Eddie could.

Ellie and Effie find Theron boring, he can't change between forms like they can and so he has to grow up like a Human, at least for the first few years.

Morgana, however, loves Theron, she loves helping Merlin with him, even though the toddler can't do much, but she'll hold him on her lap as she holds a bottle filled with Merlin's magic, her tiny face set in concentration while Leon stand nearby on guard duty.

It's cute and Arthur loves it when Merlin let's Theron out of sight long enough that it's Arthur's rooms where the three children migrate to for the youngest one's feeding, sometimes Morgana will even sit on Arthur's lap to feed the baby.

Arthur likes holding Theron, there's something about holding a baby that fills him with warmth, it's a similar feeling that he got hen he first held a tiny Morgana when Merlin thrust her at him.

So, he's been waiting for Gwen to bring it up, wanting a baby, because while Arthur wants a child, wants to give Morgana her own baby brother so she'll stop stealing Ellie and Effie's, he knows better than to be the one to make demands of his wife's body, that way lead to death and grief, and Arthur would not be like his Father in this, he would wait for her to bring it up.

"Mummy." Morgana said as Gwen entered the room.

"Yes, my sweet?" Gwen answered as she always did, sweeping across the room to give Morgana a kiss to the forehead before granting Arthur a kiss to his lips.

"When do I get my own little brother?" Morgana asked.

Or Morgana could bring it up, that worked too.

Gwen looked startled for a moment then looked at Arthur, who shrugged helplessly.

"Well, it's something Mummy and Daddy have to talk about, but even after that it may take awhile for it to happen." Gwen explained.

"But why? Can't you hatch one like Uncle Merlin does?" Leon asked suddenly as he came closer.

"Well...," Gwen looked at Arthur.

"You know that Uncle Merlin is Magic, right?" Arthur askedn making both children nod, "Well, that means he goes around having Babies differently than a Mummy and Daddy do. It means he can hatch one that's ready to be born. When it's a Mummy and Daddy they need to..." Arthur trailed off, unsure how to continue.

Gwen looked just as unsure.

"When it's a Mummy amd Daddy they need to make a special potion that the Mummy drinks so she can keep the baby safe inside her while it grows." Gwaine said, amusement in his voice as he entered Arthur's rooms to collect Leon, "Sometimes the potion doesn't work so they have to try again, but eventually the Mummy has to be alone with her best friend so she can hatch her baby." Gwaine finished as he lifted Leon onto his hip.

Leon frowned and asked "Can only a Mummy drink the potion?"

Gwaine's eyes widened.

"Yes." Arthur answered, "Only a Mummy can drink the potion."

"Right." Gwaine nodded, thankful Arthur answered, "Only a Mummy."

"Oh." Leon said, disappointed, "But I want a baby brother too."

Lancelot snorted from the door, having arrived with Gwaine but letting them flounder.

"Well, being a Dragonlord means he can Hatch the next egg we find." Lancelot said as he collected Theron.

"Yay." Leon shouted.

"I'm a what now?" Gwaine asked as he looked at Lancelot.

"A Dragonlord, it's why you can still understand the Dragontongue, you might even learn to speak it." Lancelot said, "But you might want to talk to Percival, he might even let you give a Mummy a potion to drink so you can raise a future Dragonlord." Lancelot teased before he left.

Gwaine sputtered.

Arthur groaned.

Gwen giggled, "We're never living this down, are we?"

"Not once he tells Merlin, Elyan, and Percival." Arthur said.

"Mummy, can you take the potion now, so I can have a little brother soon?" Morgana asked, "Uncle Merlin can make it for you."

Arthur looked at his wife who stared back.

"Never living this down." They agreed.

A/n: So, it's been a week since I wrote on this, and I was going to to mark it complete and then, of course, a chapter appeared.

I know toddlers don't always speak so clearly but I was not in the mood to make toddler speak today.

I hope the baby explaination was okay and not too out there.

she is a trans girl! she uses she/her pronouns!! bee kinda always knew she was different from her brothers and the other boys in church with her, but she didn't really have a chance to understand or accept who she was until she got to aguefort and got the chance to be around different types of people and realize that difference isn't evil

😇 A headcanon about their religion/lack thereof

i know a lot of folks want her to join kristen in following cassandra but i personally think that casssandra and like letting in doubt could be a part of her finding a way to worship helio in a way that feels good to her. similar to the way that tracker follows and influences galicaea, i see bee devoting herself to a reformed, more inclusive helio. we've only ever seen a very extremist standpoint of the harvestmen side of helio worship, but bee, worshipping the god of the harvest, of change and growth as a trans girl? i think thats lovely.

👻 A headcanon about what scares them

bee is so scared of the fact that their is so much that she just doesn't know. where kristen was so curious and excited coming into aguefort, bee is just scared cuz that's what she was taught to be. it's hard especially cuz she sees so much of herself in this stuff that she doesn't understand, and she was taught to hate what she doesn't understand

👽 A headcanon about a weird quirk of theirs

she is super particular about stuff being designated as 'hers' especially with the amount of things that she has to share with her brothers. she has to sit in the seat behind the driver's seat in the car, she has to use her yellow plate and if she has her comic book mug that no one else is supposed to use

💝 A headcanon about their love language

she is little miss words of affirmation. a lot of her growing up was seeing her sister being so praised and cherished in the church so when someone would take a moment and give her a little bit of affirmation too she just. melts.

🫂 A friendship headcanon

she joins the gsa in sophomore year and she becomes fast freinds with torek. she's kinda obsessed with the fact that torek is not traditionally feminine by human helioic standards but still is like confidently and obviously a girl as well as torek just being cool as shit and not taking any crap.

💔 An angsty headcanon

pretty much her entire life she existed in kristen's shadow and for so long she used to wish that she could just get a little bit of that attention, that she could be *special*, but then all of a sudden kristen is gone, and she is getting that attention she thought she wanted but she realizes really quickly that it's not good attention. she has to deal with all of this pressure from her parents while realizing what her sister had been going through, and all through it she doesn't know whether to feel bad for her sister or hate her for leaving.

her and bricker are the closest in age so they did a lot of activities together as kids just cuz it was easiest but they are such total opposites. they were on a peewee soccer team together as kids and while bee was on the field trying her best and failing miserably, bricker, who was the best kicker on the team was sitting on the sidelines eating grass. they also shared a room until kristen left and it was a constant battle between bricker who is a slob and bee who Is Not

she is a cub scout! she's been a scout since she was pretty young, used to be part of the kinda helioc version some folks at her church ran, but she eventually grew out of it and had to beg her parents to let her joinng the elmville scouts but they eventually let her. she loves camping, hiking, general outdoorsy stuff as well as all the folks in her troup

before she transitioned, she was a pretty typical polo and khakis church kid, but as she was able to wear more fem clothes and experiment a little bit, she is a lot more drawn to looser, more flowey and floral materials. a lot of her stuff isn't necessarily explicitly feminine cuz a lot of the girls in her life aren't really tradionally fem so she doesn't force herself to do more than she's comfortable with. also she fucking loves cardigans

🍫 A headcanon about food

she cannot cook to save her life but she isn't half bad at baking. she's great at following directions and it was one of the things that she got to do alongside her sister growing up when their family needed to bring something to a bake sale or a potluck. she has made so much cornbread in her life she can do it without even having to look the recipe she could honestly do it with her eyes closed

🖕 A headcanon relating to anger

the applebees household was not a place that allowed for tears, so growing up she was taught the only appropriate way to deal with negative emotions was through anger, so she is just so angry all the time and even though she hates it, it's hard for her to rewire her brain to think about it any other way. for a while she tried to just shut down, figuring if she doesn't feel anything than at least she's not angry but it just festers till she explodes. as she kinda deconstructs and reconstructs her religion and the righteous anger that seems to go with it hand in hand she quickly realized that anger can be used as a tool, those emotions leading her to let her feel that anger and then move with it and past it to fix the problem.

He had been having a bath, scrubbing himself with that slippery land stuff, when, he felt that weird dangling thing in between his legs get hard and painful. He whimpered at how much it hurt. He couldn't understand why it was hurting him so. Y/N reached down to make it go away and he began to move it around in the water and he quickly discovered that touching it made it go away as he continued to play with it until something white and sticky came out and into the water. And just like that, it didn't hurt anymore. He promised himself to ask Eric when he returned home from the local village.

Eric looks at him confused. "What kind of ache do you feel?"

"Downstairs. That thing between my legs got painfully hard and long. And it hurt, so I touched it and it went away. And it shot out a white sticky substance. Do all land people do that?"

Eric looks at a loss for words. Y/N just admitted to playing with himself in the basin. That turned Eric on as he gasped slightly at how hard his manhood just became. Looks like he would have to show him the fundamentals of sex.
