Rewatching TRS for fanficition purposes and I forgot how gut wrenching episode 7 is. Like damnnnn that episode hurtssss. And, I'd say it hurts more than the breakup episodes. Like don't get me wrong the breakup episodes make me sob everytime but episode 7??? their first fight??? their first "this isn't going to end well" moment??? Apollo holding back everything he wants to say and taking shit from Dionysus???? Dionysus being mean because he doesn't know what else to be????

The breakup episodes hurt less because it was expected. I'm pretty sure most people who followed the series for a while knew they were going to break up. It was inevitable. They're gonna be fine. But, their first fight???? like i know they'll be fine. i know they'll find happiness in the end weather with each other or not. but their first fight???

Welp, if JK Rowling being executive producer and therefore being fully involved in the show wasn't enough for people to boycott, then here's HBO basically saying they don't care JK Rowling is a bigot from hell who literally helped lead a harassment campaign of lies against Imane Khalif in her transphobia and obsession with women being terf's standards of women alongside posting harassment against trans people on twitter at times, they gonna stand by her, while using the excuse, "personal views". I’m going feral over how Mel and Viktor’s parallels with eachother are rooted in magic. Both saw magic as their salvation and their prayers.

Mel is born with magic whereas Viktor sought it artificially. Mel is from privilege and born in wealth. She could see the sky as easily it was to breathe. She grew up in a culture that emphasized on physical strength. Viktor was born in poverty and Zaun’s inability to breathe set his life with a countdown. Zaun also valued adaptability and intellect instead. Mel and Viktor casted aside the mentalities set upon them by their mentors to fight for their own.

Both desired and dreamed to create their own paths with their own ambitions. Both saw and used Jayce as their way to do so.
