i want to construct a solid explanation for why Marius de Romanus' artwork as portrayed in the iwtv tv show rankles me but also i feel like i shouldn't rag on someone's attempt to paint in the style of renaissance artwork without giving it a try myself so now im delving into the kind of research that might've saved me from failing art history twice in a row

i did!! somehow despite my endless well of love for iwtv i dont seem to share the enthusiasm for any of the other anne rice universe shows lmao

i was excited for talamasca for about two minutes when i saw the talamas.ca website announcement and thought they might be doing an ARG to advertise the show, which would've been so fucking genius (do some codes/ciphers, add a few secret web pages that people can unlock which gives them access to SCP-style field notes or eyewitness accounts, do a diet Da Vinci Code and make some historical artifacts of the real world contain puzzles for the site. its brilliant, its low cost, it would've made the audience feel like they were part of the hidden organization operating in secret and would've perfectly captured the demographic of adult Gravity Falls fans + people into stories about Shady Supernatural Archival Organizations aka the Magnus Archives)

anyway they didn't do any of that and my excitement dimmed when i saw how low-effort the site was. and im sure the show is being made by a different team and it might still be really good which is why im gonna give it a go once it comes out bc i see the seed of potential. but if it doesn't knock my socks off in the first ep i might not stick with it

hey! random question (apologies if you’ve answered/talked abt this before) but do you think that if Thad became a hero he would keep the name Interia (like reclaiming it)? or would he choose a different name (and do you have any thoughts on what he would pick)?

im partial to him keeping the Inertia name, both because i like the idea of him reclaiming it, and because i think its cool lol

also i like that Inertia's not reliant on the Impulse name in order to exist a la Reverse Flash. he's complimentary to Impulse but not in direct opposition or mirror. i think if his codename were like... "Anti-Impulse" or something id be much more on the side of him changing it

which characters are you gonna use in the wonderland au? Kon=Alice, Bart=white rabbit, Cassie=mad hatter(!!) but from that, who's who? Or is that a surprise? Will it only be yj98 characters or other ones too? Truth be told I just really want to see greta

i think ive got most of the key players cast so far...

part 2 we'll be heading to the mad hatters tea party which means i'll be posting design polls for the tea party patrons :D which will be:

Cassie as the Mad Hatter

Bart as the March Hare (+ White Rabbit)

Greta as the Dormouse (+ potentially a second character)

and Anita as the Cheshire Cat

i think this au will be mainly yj98 since i feel more confident writing those characters, although if i see an opportunity to add a character from Kon's solo i might take it! so i guess yj98 focused but not yj98 exclusive (i mean Thad is pretty much a guarantee to show up so)
