I'm rewatching s1 of squid game and when jun-ho visits in-ho's shitty little abandoned studio you can see he has a copy of "theory of desire, jacques lacan" out on his desk. and sorry the idea of this middle aged ex cop crashing out, reading lacan, then deciding to go kill hundreds of people via children's games is hysterical to me. hwang in-ho only wishes he were hannibal.
