I think my dislike of Lucifer, personally, comes from that very authoritarian mindset and punishment first, paired with my own bad experiences. Lucifer is all the adults I hated; he's a bad parenting model. He's a lot of things. I struggled, for instance, with the way that he overrides people—even the MC. And his Pact Scene is the most damning example of this, because if you say no, he just does it anyway. As a person with her own trauma, it reads very disgusting. It reads as a lack of respect. I take issue with Lucifer still—I don't hate him, I think he's okay, I think he truly cares for his family; what I hate is how he acts on these things, specifically. I think I respect him for his self-awareness at this point, but —

I also dislike the prevalent masking behaviours. It's naturally frustrating to me when a person can't just be themselves. He has his moments of softness, of kindness, and I think that was also why the Pact Scene was so jarring. Because that is Soft Lucifer. And then ? He ruins it. It's easy to tell what kind of character he is (tough exterior, soft interior), and ultimately, I even like characters that fall into similar spaces as the one he occupies, but it is how poorly he handles these things, how he feels the need to hide himself behind a veneer, that he can be soft in his texts, even say "I love you," but up close and personal, he can't seem to just Have A Moment without his Pride getting in the way, and that is subjectively frustrating.

It is Very Annoying when people do that—especially if they think that I care about them being weird or vulnerable w/ me. Like. Bitch!! Be yourself!! I will like you better. Ffs.

Objectively, I understand why people like Lucifer! I know that many of my cons might just be your pros. I'm not against people for liking Lucifer. I'm just ... not one of them.

Mc: "Honestly, I know yall are brothers and demons so this kinda stuff is bound to happen but for Diavolo's sake this is getting ridiculous!"

Mc: *points hoof at Belphie* " Belphie. I know you're the avatar of sloth and therefore sleep a lot, but you can't solve all your problems and grief by sleeping the time away constantly, and the youngest brother brat thing doesn't always make you endearing!"

Mc: *points hoof at Beel* "Beel. I know you have survivors guilt but Lilith ended up living with humans like she wanted, Belphie doesn't need you standing up for him all the time, and you needn't continue to try to fill the hole inside you by eating in a restaurant that has no more food when you could just go down the street to another food place!"

Mc: *points hoof at Asmo* "Asmo. I know you ~get it on~ mainly to distract yourself from your troubles, to make yourself forget even just for a bit, sometimes but you can't push those feelings down forever, so actually talk with someone, anyone, about whats bothering you rather then trying ignore it! And stop hitting on your brothers, it's kinda weird!"

Mc: *points hoof at Satan* "Satan. I know you have an inferiority complex when it comes to Lucifer, but for the love of Diavolo, you wouldn't be called Satan, avatar of wrath, if you were like Lucifer in the first place. You have blonde hair and like cats, Lucifer has black grey-ish hair and likes dogs. AND THATS JUST THE START OF THE CONTRASTS! You are your own person, get that through your thick skull!"

Mc: *points hoof at Levi* "Levi. I know that it's easy to compare yourself to others and not at least feel somewhat bad about yourself but how do you not realize that you're the best tech wiz we got, an amazing gamer, and the most dedicated being I've ever seen in my life! So if you think that you're not good at something think again!"

Mc: *points hoof at Mammon* "Mammon. How in the whole Devildom is the Avatar of Greed almost always poor?! Also I know you are a material gorl, but items and things can't fully fill the void that you feel, so stop acting all emotionally constipated and just ask for affection if you want it!"

Mc: *points hoof at Lucifer* "And you Lucifer. I know you're the eldest and the prideful one, but there is such a thing as shouldering too much and being stubborn to a fault! Ask for help and for Diavolo to lessen your workload every once in a while! And stop not telling your brothers important things, rather then being all secretive to try to 'protect them' youre just hurting yourself and them cause of it!"

Silence was all that could be heard in the House of Lamentation, the brothers still as statues with varying amount of widened eyes, staring at the small being that they cherished that had just ripped into them so aggressively

After a minute ofa dead silent pause, Mc turned off their phone, hopped off the couch and started walking to the living room exit

Mc: "Honestly, I didn't expect to become a therapist for demons when coming here, and now I can't even read my enemies to lovers book in even somewhat peace.... I don't get paid enough for this."

They then disappeared from the brothers' sight, left to wrap their heads around what just happened

And the arguement that started it all? Who was going to make dinner that night

I found a fanart of Alastor being kidnapped by Striker, like Stolas in the episode "Western Energy" and I thought it would be a very good idea to develop.

Alastor is seriously injured by Adam's angelic powers and based on what he himself said in his musical breakdown at the end of the season, his powers seem to be restricted by his contract. The power scaling for Overlords is seemingly connected to how many souls they own and he hasn't taken an souls since his return, so it would be fair to assume that he is getting weaker. He's not the same Radio Demon from seven years ago. He would be an easy target, especially for a hitman who holds a deep hatred of powerful hellish entities such as Overlords and nobility of Hell.

Now, who would want to hire Striker for that? The Vees maybe? They are the only ones who could easily guess about Alastor's true state bc they saw the fight like it was a sports game. And it wouldn't be the first time they sent someone else to do the dirty work either, Sir Pentious is a good example of that.

If we combine this with Radioapple it would be even funnier bc Lucifer would fly out of the hotel in his seraph form to save his queerplatonic partner saying something like "nobody fucks that deer but me"

Angel Dust Turns Human - Pg2

Part 1

I'm so sorry about the quality, idk what size the canvas should be when it comes to comics, this is technically my 1st one☹️. I PRAY it doesn't look crappy on other people's end💔

Anyways, I had drawn these 2 pages (technically 4ish with how I spread them out) within 3-2 days bc I just rlly wanted the idea to get done already🤲 Sorry if the pacing wasn't that good when I introduced Alastor - again, I don't know how to convey that in 'comic form' (?) since this is my 1st, but I tried😔 (it probably needed more frames/pics but I was rlly lazy).

If you couldn't tell (☹️), Alastor & Angel Dust have some backstory (!!!) - Alastor didn't realize until he saw his human form, which looks very different from his Hell form. The majority of this is in Angel's pov, so this is kinda unreliable narrator, in a way. I need to mention, idk if anyone's written/drawn anything w a human in Hell, but my first thought was they'd definitely pass out from the heat usually portrayed - hence the heat exhaustion; Angel kinda passes out before he could fully react. Btw, I don't like how I drew Angel on pg6 so let's ignore it🙏

Also, Alastor pronounces his name as "Antoní", or An-tone-nee, with emphasis on the last sylabel, which is why it's spelled with an accented "i" - I just forgot to use that when I wrote the dialouge💔

My fav thing to draw was him holding Angel's face and carrying him, Parental Alastor fans RISE✊️!

Do you ever think about the shifts and changes of terminology and meaning of words in the context of the denizens of Hell? An obvious example would be like, havin a gay old time. Since Alastor doesn’t really keep up with the times but Vox very much does, there could easily have been a moment where Vox mistakenly thinks Alastor is coming out as gay but Al was actually just using the old meaning. This is all made even worse when you keep in mind that television has sped up the process of language shift and the internet sped it up even faster. Their friendship ended early on clearly, but how many miscommunications happened because of this plus how many more would’ve been inevitable if for some reason they were still friends?

I guess the Vees are all inclined to keep up so when they find out a word changed its meaning they update accordingly. Still, there’s that initial moment of someone saying the thing.

This gets worse when Zestial gets involved; you know how people read Shakespeare in school and then later find out that most of his works are full of sexual innuendo that goes over a modern reader’s head? There’s also the Terry Pratchett quote, “the Elizabethans had so many words for the female genitals that it is quite hard to speak a sentence of modern English without inadvertently mentioning at least three of them.” I’m choosing to believe that Zestial has silently died inside so many times listening to the other overlords accidentally making innuendos that there’s nothing left in him to die. Maybe he and Alastor have bonded a bit over everyone saying words and phrases that definitely meant something other than what they know it to mean.

while zestial and alastor COULD bond over that keep in mind zestial is YEEEEEARS older than alastor and alastor's terminology is probably closer to the newer sinners atp so there's a chance zestial would just run into the same problems with alastor.

What if in lesson 38 after diavolo bowed down he grabbed lucifers hand and kissed it gently and then he pulled himself up still holding lucifers hand then he pulled lucifer for a kiss then lucifer kissed back and as lucifer did he gracefully turns back to his demon form and lucifers glow as he turns back makes them both glow and they look like a majestic couple in an anime after the main character revives his lover with a kiss then then- (my unfed ass adding to these crumbs)

The manga has ended a long time ago already I’m really surprised, but understandable as well given his personality and looks, one of my fave reborn characters so it’s cool.

Is it just me or people really more and more draw Lucifer as a complete uwu shy baby and Alastor as his big alpha man? Because the more days pass the more of it I see and I'm tired.

Dude I hear ya (¬_¬) It's literally my biggest pet peeve with the radioapple ship. I'm sorry but I cannot fathom Lucifer as a UwU shy baby. And Alastor a big alpha man? Please. If any of them were a big alpha man, it'd be Lucifer, let's be real.

You know, the thing is, I don't really mind Lucifer having shy little UwU moments or Alastor being all big, tough, and domineering - they've both had moments like that in the show. It's when their entire characters get boiled down to these specific tropes/characteristics that I want to start ripping my hair out.

At this point, I just scroll past content like that really fast, or I just block the creator - not out of resentment of malice toward them, I'm just a big believer in fans curating their own fandom experience. If I don't enjoy certain content, however innocent and harmless it is, I'm going to keep it from showing up in my feed. I'm here to have a good time, I'm not gonna spend it consuming stuff I don't enjoy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's how I got most of my Twitter feed full of bottom!Alastor now. I rarely come across top!Alastor anymore and it's been great. I'm having a fantastic time.
