Esmp S1 Au where Jimmy is married to both Etho and Tango

(aka more for the ranchers/Etho cause we need more >:] )

None of the other rulers other then Joel and Lizzie even know that Jimmy is even married, it's not like Jimmy wouldn't talk about his husbands at any moment he deems appropriate but he figured gushing about them at a technically political meeting wouldn't be welcome

All three of them are immortals, and some of the rulers had actually been to their wedding with their parents when they were they were younger, with Scott, Sausage and Gem being the only ones that even semi remember it lol.

One day, when the all the rulers ended up having to have the monthly meeting at the Codlends since Katherine ended up not being able to host it due to some reconstruction, while the rulers filled into a meeting hall that was near the shore, they saw that the Codfather was talking with two men, both of which are shorter then the tall codman. The elven king had noticed that the one with white hair actually wore Rivendell made clothes, though the clothes didnt seem to be made in any way that Scott knew about other then the one in history books, while the short one wore netharian like clothing that spoke of high wealth or at least someone that is very comfortable in that standing.

As the meeting started and went on, the shorter of the two men had left after a whisper to the Codfather while the one with white hair stayed and just stared at the rulers as he leaned over the Codfather's shoulder. Scott could see out of the corners of his vision, that all the other rulers except the ocean queen and the king of Mezalea were glancing between themselves as the meeting went on.

He wonders if he's overstepped some unknown Codlands custom. If this were Jimmy's personal guard or advisor then surely they would have seen the man before now? Lizzie and Joel both seem to know - they could have given the rest of them a warning!

The only time the man speaks is to correct Jimmy on some of his export figures. Jimmy beams at him like the man is his personal sun before turning back the group. Just who is this?

When the meeting ends, Jimmy jumps up and takes the man's hand, dragging him around as he exchanges pleasantries with the other rulers. There are a few traditional Codland canapés which distract most of the rulers (besides Joey, who turns his nose up at eating such 'oversalted' food.)

When Scott is able to sidle over to Joel and Lizzie and discreetly ask about the strangers, Lizzie just laughs. Joel whacks Scott's back and replies, as if it isn't changing Scott's entire world, "That's his husband, mate."

“Etho.” Joel nearly spat out the name like it was poisonous. It no longer came with a soft gaze, but rather his own reflection in pitch black sunglasses. Joel’s bangs covered his eyebrows, and his mouth was set in an indifferent line. How was Etho supposed to read him like this..?

“Hi Joel!” Etho greeted anyway, his voice chipper and smiley. “I’m likin’ the leather vest. It really works for you.”

Joel huffed, his sword disappearing from his hand. He didn’t blush, like he used to when Etho would compliment him, only kept the same guarded expression.

How dare he keep playing with my emotions like this! Joel quietly seethed. Etho was being cruel– pitying him. Joel clenched his fists. He knew he never meant anything to Etho, they had been stuck together. So why, oh why, did Etho have to keep hurting him like this?

“Etho,” Joel tried again, his voice darker this time, “once I hit red, you are done for.” It was both a threat and a promise.

Etho smirked, nothing innocent in his eyes. “Hmm.. you gonna ravish me with charged Red passion..?” He teased. He knew Joel didn’t mean it like that, but he was desperately hoping it would break whatever wall Joel was trying to build between them.

Joel didn’t even react. At least, that’s how it seemed to Etho. Joel’s insides were burning, with excitement or anger he wasn’t sure. He scoffed. “Just watch your back.” He nearly growled.

The air was charged with buzzing static, and Etho hated it.

“Jimmy!” Jimmy heard his name being whisper-shouted. He glanced at his two teammates asleep in the triple bed. If it wasn’t them, then who would be calling for him in the middle of the night??

“Jim!!” The voice spoke again, a little louder. Jimmy’s sleep-deprived mind raced through the list of server members, trying to think of who could possibly need him. He huffed quietly, figuring it was someone looking for an easy prank target. Until..

“My rancher, are you up there..?”

It was Tango.

IT WAS TANGO!!

Jimmy bolted out of bed and nearly sprinted to the edge of the roof. He peered over the edge, and sure enough, there was his rancher, looking cute and very dapper in a red button down, black waistcoat, and matching black bowtie.

Jimmy smiled brightly and jumped down, water bucket in hand. He landed (not-so-gracefully) in front of Tango, instantly running up and tackling him in a giant bear hug.

Jimmy couldn’t fly here, but his wings wrapped around Tango, encasing him in a golden yellow double hug. He buried his face in the blaze’s neck, melting when he felt Tango start to purr. His tail curled around Jimmy’s ankles, just as gentle and soft as it’s always been.

Timmy and Tango had agreed not to team this season, but that didn’t stop them from missing each other.

They made peace with their desert a long time ago, but they both knew they’d never have that same connection again. Especially after Grian’s.. choices in Double Life.

Scar stared up at the stupid woodland mansion, flint and steel in hand. He was still bitter. Maybe he should be going after Big B too, but Grian.. how could he just do that to him..? Sure, things weren’t the same as in Third Life, but did he really mean that little to Grian?

“Scar..?” He heard a whisper from the tree line. He whipped around, seeing the very avian he’d just been thinking of. Though, Grian didn’t look the same here. The white button down he’d taken to wearing under his sweater was gone, taking away the nice little nod to Mumbo that Scar liked to think of it as. He had a leather jacket, too big and too edgy for him. The dark glasses on top of his head were odd to see against his normally fluffy blond hair.

Grian didn’t look right like this.. without a red and white poncho and sand goggles.

Tango stood, tail flicking back and forth in a pleased manner, a cheesy little smile on his face. He was tinged pink, and laser-focused on his communicator.

"Tango," Etho called again, more pointed this time.

"Wh - huh?" Tango yelped in a very Tango-like manner. He stared at Etho as if a deer in headlights. "What's up?"

Etho raised one, singular eyebrow. He nodded at Tango's communicator with a, "do I even wanna know?"

"Ah..." Tango grinned sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry, getting a bit sidetracked! You know how Jimmy's doing that new server today, I thought he'd be offline the whole time but he keeps messaging me. And I can't leave the guy hanging, obviously I gotta message back. He's being so cute, telling me every time he's flirting with someone. Like, I know, Jimmy! You flirt with your friends all the time! It's not news! But he's so sweet about it. All, oh Tango, I know we talked about it before but kissing is alright, right? I just told him to pucker up buttercup and quit leaving them waiting. He's such a sweetheart, I swear. And he keeps telling me about all these funny things happening, stuff that definitely won't make it into the videos-"

Hi I'm Sorrel, and I've run out of ideas for a cool intro post. As stated I will be screaming into the void about the life series and its ships, mainly boat boys/smalletho and desert duo/scarian (only in an SFW manner). This blog will also be for general thoughts about Wild Life since I apparently got into the fandom at the perfect time haha.

THIS IS NOT RPF. I am shipping the characters in their context, NOT the actual creators behind them, and I don't intend any disrespect. That being said, if you are Martyn, Pearl, Gem, Joel, or another CC that has a tumblr I don't know about, please do not interact/proceed for both of our mental wellbeing. I don't want to be perceived by you in this context and you probably don't want to know what I have to say about your Minecraft character.

EDIT TO ADD, since a couple of people have commented on this: I like to put on my conspiracy hat about this series for fun and joke around about how benign things have to be a coded reference to the lore or fanon or whatever. It's all in good fun and I know that's not the intended meaning the majority of the time. Being an unhinged fangirl is just fun for me and I do in fact realize the obvious reason something happens is usually the only one.

With that out of the way, I'm currently catching up on the life series (on Limited Life rn). I am just getting into Hermitcraft again after not watching since season 6 (I'm currently watching Grian's S10), so I am very much not up to date and do not know all the things. I don't follow any other SMPs the gang have done.

I mainly watch Grian, Scott, Martyn, Etho, and Joel's POV of the Life Series because I like their content styles best (sometimes I watch Bdubs, Jimmy, Gem or Cleo as well and I have watched all the winners POVs), so that's the stuff I'm most familiar with. I'll watch everybody's POVs someday but today is not that day

Y'know what? Let's add a Scott/ to the Etho/ranchers Esmp S1 Au (I am the one that sent that ask dw I'm not just adding this to someone else's au/ask)

After Scott learned that the Codfather was married, he was horrified as he has been subtly trying to court the Fishman, not knowing that he was taken. Scott obviously stopped immediately, he wasn't a homewrecker! Even if he was a generally flirty person and was very much crushing on the other ruler

Around two weeks after that meeting, Scott had been invited to watch (and maybe participate) the bi-monthly fighting festival that was in the Codlends. Scott of course went, even if he wasnt courting the Codfather now if he can help it, he still would have to go as he had been directly invited.

When Scott had flown there, he had been greeted by the short man that was with Jimmy in the beginning of the last meeting, the one with blond hair and red accessories. The man who he learned was named Tango and was The Codfather's other husband, had excitedly shown Scott around as Scott was apparently the first ruler to have shown up so far.

Scott had primarily watched the fights, after all the way that Codlends citizens fought was truely interesting and in a way that was so fluid. When Scott did participate in a few of the fights, he draw them out ever so slightly but still in a fast and Rivendell like manner. Each time he had stepped out of the sparring arena after he won, he had been shown a good bit of praise and flirting from the citizens??

Aka fighting and how strong you are is seems as a very important thing in the Codlends and the fighting festivals are used as ways to flirt and show off your skills to the people your trying to court. (Cause I hc that polyamory is very common in the Codlends lol)

Jimmy and Tango are both blushing like mad after and during Scott's fights cause wow they didn't expect that with how Scott was built- while Etho just zones in on Scott's fighting style cause it is very unique and not like any other Rivendell elves that participated in these.

Scott was trained to fight from a very young age. His parents - ever so diligent - ensured he had a number of tutors from a wide variety of different places. Scott may not be a master in any of the styles he's familiar with, but he can switch between them as needed without missing a step.

It's a skill that has, unfortunately, been useful through the years.

And he has to make sure he puts on a good show for the Codlands people. He's here to represent Rivendell. Scott knows elves are often underestimated as being soft and too haughty to fight. He hopes he's put some of those rumours to bed today.

What he doesn't realise is that he's started a new wave of gossip. Jimmy hasn't stopped talking about Scott's fighting since they retreated into the royal box. Tango feels like he may just melt where he stands. Scott had been so put together when he showed him around earlier! He didn't expect that from him.

Nor did he expect Scott to look so good when slightly dishevelled, pushing long strands of blue hair from his face.

Etho finds Scott fascinating. He did during the meeting as well. He'd like to learn more about the elf, and Rivendell royalty in general. It seems like it's changed a lot since his time.

It's rare that Ren and Skizz get any time alone, these days. With the fights picking up in frequency and intensity, most of the time they see each other are in strategy meetings or on the battlefield. They're coming off of one of those times now, after a thankfully small scuffle with the Crastle people when it had just been Skizz and Etho with Ren to guard him. Ren is unharmed, but Skizz and Etho weren’t so lucky, taking their fair share of arrow shots, though nothing fatal. Etho had insisted he could take care of himself at his wool castle, but after Skizz Point got destroyed, Skizz only has the basement of Renchanting to return to.

So they're there now, Ren gently bandaging up Skizz's wounds from the fight. They aren't that bad, Skizz could be doing this himself, he said he'd do this himself, but then Ren insisted in his king voice and Skizz has pavlov'd himself to never say no when Ren does that anymore, so... here they are.

It's not unappreciated, of course. The cuts on his upper arms would've been a bit of a pain to wrap one-handed, for one. And he is far from upset about the lack of space between the two of them now.

Ren seems to be almost done now, moving to clean and bandage the last cut on his right bicep, when he pauses. Skizz can't see what he's doing without craning his neck- and likely moving his body in a way that gets in the way of Ren's work- but Ren hums a small noise that Skizz knows means he's thinking about something. All of a sudden, Ren gently places his hand in a spot Skizz isn't expecting it, on the back of his neck. Skizz tries his best not to jump.

"This scar back here..." Ren says- the first words he's spoken since he brought out the bandages. His fingers are feather light on the scar in question, sending a shiver down Skizz's spine. "When did this happen?"

"Oh, right. That was from the enchanter explosion, remember? I was turning away from it for just a second, trying to get back up out of the hole when it went off. It's a pretty gnarly one, but I guess I'm lucky most of it's covered up by my clothes."

Ren hums again, thoughtful, before moving his hand back to Skizz's arm. And he assumes that's the end of it, when suddenly Skizz feels a light press of lips to the scar, so quick Skizz has to question whether it even happened as Ren goes back to cleaning the last of his wounds.

Ren doesn't say anything after that, and neither does Skizz, because what could he? He could tell Ren not to do that, that that's not where he wants their relationship to go, but he's not going to lie to him. And he can't push it further either, because, well, there's a war going on. It's not the time. Maybe there won't ever be a time, but regardless, now's not it. Skizz will find the time to say something, one of these days. He just has to make sure he doesn't die first.
